Dear Neighbors: You knew when you bought the house that the yard was full of trees. Your current plan is to cut them all down now because you want grass. Please do us all a favor —- move to one of the thousands of Atlanta neighborhoods that already have naked, treeless yards and leave our neighborhood alone. Thank you.

All these Republicans bashing Sarah Palin need to face reality. She did not cost McCain the election. There is not a Republican in the country that could have beaten Obama considering the disastrous shape that the economy is in.

I feel sorry for Obama. He is going to miss out on a lot with his wife and two young daughters over the next four years. “Where are you tonight, Daddy?” Be careful what you wish for —- you just might get it.

Let’s not confuse a historic election with a historic presidency. There is time to rename streets and schools after we see how he does.

Confused Republicans thought when Obama said he wanted to “heal the divides,” he meant he’d let them run his administration. He meant

heal the divides among the American people, not the old world pols.

Caution to communities economizing by cutting out leaf pickup: Your savings may ultimately cost more for damage caused by storm drain malfunction and increased maintenance.
