The shoot-out occurred at Ford’s house in the 2400 block of Rockwood Way in unincorporated Gwinnett. His ex-girlfriend, Valencia Sims, was moving out and had brought four men to help, according to Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli.

A fight broke out between Ford and one of the men, gunfire was exchanged and the victim was found dead in the driveway by responding officers.

A wounded Ford was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Schiralli said. Sims, 28, and the three other men had fled the scene but were later detained and questioned. They have not been charged, Schiralli said, though the investigation remains active.
