Televangelist Bynum signs divorce settlement

National evangelist Juanita Bynum has finally agreed to divorce her estranged husband, Bishop Thomas Weeks III.

Weeks' attorney, Randy Kessler, said he received a signed, 14-page settlement agreement late Monday.
"When you get the settlement agreement signed it's very hard to get out of it," Kessler said. "It's pretty much over now."
Terms of the settlement were not disclosed but Weeks will ask that Bynum pay his attorney fees, Kessler said. The divorce must be finalized on the grounds that the marriage is "broken beyond repair" in Gwinnett County Superior Court. Weeks plans to go before a Gwinnett County judge this week to finalize the divorce.
Bynum and Weeks married in 2002 in an elaborate ceremony. They built Global Destiny Church in Duluth together before their relationship fizzled.
On Aug. 21, 2007, Weeks attacked Bynum in the parking lot of the Renaissance Concourse Hotel in Atlanta after the couple met to discuss their problems. They had been separated since spring 2007.
Weeks pleaded guilty in March to aggravated assault in the attack on his wife. He was sentenced as a first offender, given three years' probation and ordered to attend anger management classes and perform 200 hours of community service.
Bynum proclaimed herself the new "face of domestic violence" after the assault. The traveling Pentecostal pastor continues her ministry. In April, Bynum appeared on Fox TV's "Divorce Court," offering advice to a couple who was ending their marriage after a history of domestic violence.

George Carlin:
Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that thereŭs an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever ŭtil the end of time! But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! Heŭs all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just canŭt handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good bulls#%t story. Holy Sh#$!ŭ

There is no need to respond to lies about Juanita Bynum. Her name alone speak for it self. Bynum never said she was perfect, and she always admitted that her and her ex-husband was responsible for the break down of their marriage. The favor God has on her life is greater now than ever. The woman ministry is three times bigger than before. Juanita Bynum is everything she is suppose to be in Christ. God made her name great and he will keep it great. To all the haters keep on hating on Bynum, and watch her work.

You know, we need to pray for the married everywhere. I believe marriage is an intitution of GOD, so Man can be fruitful and multiply-ideally as Christ followers and holy. I am told there are witch covenants praying against these unions between Man and Woman--probably realizing more than Christians, that GOD wants praise from his creation, even in our imperfection. HE is merciful and GOOOOOD. Marriage is sometimes a very tough job, and some people discover their threshhold for the it is low, and this does not even include the externals. However, just like learning a skill, with the proper manuals (BIBLE, cookbook, etc.), Love, Humility, Maturity, Patience, Forgiveness, you can make the reason you walked down the isle last. Word of Warning: Wisdom, prayer, and wise counsel is needed before you say I do. I personally believe the Weeks and Bynam marriage could have been saved.

To all the haters who are hating on Juanita Bynum. A true woman of God never fails. She may fall but she gets back up. To the person who said people have witness Juanita abusing weeks. Lies on top of lies. Juanita may be a firey preacher, but to embarrass herself in public. The woman has way to much class and integrity about herself. So I no you are wrong again. People as I have stated before Juanita can not make people flock to her are her ministry. We have choices in life. People make their own decision about how they live their lives. It take money to do anything in life. To run a business, to be an artist, to be a preacher, and yes to even have your own ministry. If you do not like Juanita then do not support her. She not going to stop what she has been doing for twenty five years; just because you do not like are support her vision. People like you is what makes the world go round. I am willing to bet you out of all the hell Juanita Bynum has been through in her life; she is still in way better shape than you will ever be. God has given Juanita the level of talent to be able to posses both worlds. So keep on talking and just watch her work.

Juanita Bynum may have been a victim of domestic violence, but so was her husband. (Witnesses exist to her verbal and physical abuse of this man). The devil wasn't trying to silence her, God shut her down. The pride, arrogance, lies & her ineptness at preaching sound doctrine turned the volume down on this wannabe star. Role model??? I would never date someone else's husband, I don't care how long they were separated. People that never had anything think Juanita had everything. Millions of women around the world?? Where were they when she was begging for $200,000 for a threshing floor? OPEN YOUR EYES, MY SISTER!! MONEY & POPULARITY ARE NEVER SIGNS OF GOD'S FAVOR....AND "THINGS" NEVER VALIDATE YOU AS A WOMAN OF GOD!!! Please do not respond with "Touch not mine anointed", it does not apply to this situation. And I beg you please do not nauseate me with "Don't put your mouth on the woman of God" that cliche' is unbiblical, self-righteous and ghetto! I do ask your forgiveness, if I seem a little harsh. I promise you it is not personal. But many of us in the ministry have been cleaning up the mess this woman leaves behind with her pseudo-religious antics and I am just fed up!
