Scholars of Georgia-born author Flannery O’Connor now have access to a stash of photographs, letters, manuscripts and research material accumulated by her friend, the late Sally Fitzgerald.

Emory University, where Fitzgerald was a research associate, holds her collection at its Manuscript, Archives and Rare Book Library. The recent acquisition was made possible by the Lewis H. Beck Educational Foundation and The Vasser Woolley Foundation.
