Georgia is home to some of the nation's largest charities and nonprofits, and local organizations with a home-town focus have grown multimillion dollar budgets as well.

The AJC dug into IRS documents to find out how much money our top charities bring in and what they spend the money on. We include a break-down of how much of their income is spent on their programs as opposed to spent on supporting the organization and fund-raising.
