BROOKWOOD
The Broncos defeated Grayson 6-4 as pitcher Alex Beebe improved to 4-0. Beebe allowed three runs and six hits with seven strikeouts in six innings of work. Seth Adkins went 2-for-3 for Brookwood (15-1, 3-0 in 8-AAAAA), while Ronnie Freeman hit 2-for-3, Grayson Flack went 3-for-3, Jon Robinson went 1-for-3, Jordan Erisman hit 1-for-3, Ross Heffley went 1-for-4, and Ryan Lewis went 1-for-4.
DACULA
The Dacula Falcons lost to visiting Rockdale County 8-3 Wednesday. Losing pitcher Stephen Williams threw two innings of relief and gave up five runs for Dacula (8-10, 7-9 in 8-AAAA). Offensively for Dacula, Oliver Pratt went 1-for-3 with an RBI, Tripp Calhoun went 1-for-1 with an RBI double, and Jeremy Kien went 2-for-3.
NORCROSS
The Blue Devils used a big first inning to beat Duluth 10-3 late Tuesday. Norcross scored four runs in the first off pitcher Travid Brinker. Jared Van Camp hit a three-run in the loss for the Wildcats (3-13, 1-6 in 7-AAAAA).
NORTH GWINNETT
The Bulldogs won 14-1 over host Duluth in six innings Wednesday. North scored five runs in the first inning, one run in each of the next four innings, and five runs in the final inning. Offensively, Jim Moreland went 3-for-4 with three doubles, Ronnie Stewart went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Will Huff had an RBI-triple, Scotty McQueen hit a two-run home run, Josh Wright hit a three-run home run in the fifth, Nick Jones had a solo homer, and Neriel Morillo hit a two-run double. Winning pitcher Chad White (2-0) allowed five hits and one earned run with six strikeouts in four innings for North (13-4, 6-2 in 7-AAAAA).
