Early voting for runoffs begins Monday

Early voting for the Dec. 2 runoff election begins Monday at the Cobb County elections board main office and continues through Nov. 26 there and at other locations.
Besides the U.S. Senate runoff between incumbent Republican Saxby Chambliss and Democrat Jim Martin, two other positions may be on the ballot. Vote totals in the races for seats on the Georgia Court of Appeals and Public Service Commission have not been confirmed by the secretary of state’s office.
Registered Cobb County voters can cast ballots 8 a.m.—5 p.m. beginning Monday at the Board of Elections & Registration at 736 Whitlock Ave.
Other advance voting locations Nov. 24-26 are at East Cobb Government Service Center, 4400 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta; South Cobb Government Service Center, 4700 Austell Road in Austell; Boots Ward Recreation Center, Lost Mountain Park, 4845 Dallas Highway in Powder Springs; and North Cobb Senior Center at Kennworth Park, 4100 Highway 293 in Acworth.
Vote-by-mail ballots can be cast until 7 p.m. on election day. Application forms are available online at cobbelections.org and at the elections board office.
The county’s 175 polling places will be open for voting 7 a.m. — 7 p.m. Dec. 2.
