Try something different for summer camp

For all those children who want to grow up and be epidemiologists, there's a camp.

This summer the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is offering a summer camp called "Disease Detective Camp," or DDC, in a pair of one-week sessions in July for high school juniors and seniors. The schedule includes workshops entitled "How to Solve an Outbreak Part 1" and "Lecture: Quarantine and Jeopardy Game."

CDC spokesperson David Daigle said the camp offers kids "a unique and fun exposure to public health with a wide array of hands-on activities."
