GETTING THERE
From downtown Atlanta, take I-20 east about 70 miles toward Augusta. Take Exit 130 (Ga. 44/Eatonton Road) and turn right onto Ga. 44. Continue south approximately 12 miles to the second traffic light at Old Phoenix Road. Turn left and travel south a half mile to the Cuscowilla entrance on left.

When purchased: May 2007

Their home: The approximately 2,400-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and a loft. It boasts what Bobby calls a "perfect view" of Lake Oconee and the 11th hole on Cuscowilla's golf course, which was rated the No. 2 Best Residential Golf Course in America on Golf Week's 2007 list. Interior features include hardwood floors, granite countertops, vaulted ceilings and tile in the baths. "It's got all the luxury upgrades," Bobby said. It was the first condo bought at Sojourn.

How far from home: About 2 1/2 hours from their home in Dalton.

Why Lake Oconee: After looking in Florida, Bobby Wright revisited Lake Oconee. Sojourn wasn't under construction, but he was drawn to Cuscowilla and plans for a top floor condo.

How often they're there: The family enjoys the condo most of the summer. During the fall, they visit a couple of times a month, and usually once a month during the winter.

What they love about it: Golfing, fishing, waterskiing and socializing with other residents. "In our complex and in the villas, you've got a bunch of young families with young kids." He added that the staff is friendly and welcoming. Two restaurants and other amenities help the Wrights feel at home. "You get in there, and you don't have to go anywhere," Bobby Wright said.

COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

Sojourn at Cuscowilla has 12 of its 37 waterfront condos remaining, priced from $489,900 to $709,900.
