For the tenth consecutive year, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is helping answer that question

We are now accepting nominations for Celebrating Nurses, the ajcjobs Nursing Excellence Awards. We’re in search of registered nurses who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in treating patients in 2014 and ask you to submit your story. Nominations can come from patients or their families, peers, managers - anyone that has an inspirational story to share. Once all nominations have been received by the January 31, 2015 deadline, a panel of independent judges will narrow the field down to the Top 10 honorees!

On Tuesday, May 12, 2015 ajcjobs will host the Nursing Excellence Awards recognition luncheon at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Emceed by Jovita Moore of WSB-TV and Kevin Riley of The AJC, this event will honor all of this year’s nominees and, specifically, the Top 10 honorees. Last year, almost 600 nurses, their families and clinical leaders throughout Georgia attended the celebration.

This year’s sponsors include:

Platinum Sponsor – WellStar

Gold Sponsors – Dekalb Medical & Emory Healthcare

Silver Sponsors – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Northside Hospital & Northeast Georgia Health System

Supporting Sponsor – Southern Regional Medical Center & Eastside Medical Center

Social Media – Rockdale Medical Center
