With a name like "Summer Classics," buyers come through the door expecting to find plenty of outdoor accents. And they will. The collection at this Roswell store offers sturdy furniture that can create entire outdoor rooms that stand up to any weather. But it also carries pieces made for indoor use as well, many of which are designed specifically for the company.
"Outdoor furniture is our main thrust, but we're also known for our fabrics and trend-setting designs," said manager Ed Mannino.
The company also is known for durable furniture and fabrics. The store's selection of woven wicker is guaranteed not to fade. In addition, most of the fabrics on the seat cushions and pillows have been treated to keep their color in sun or rain. Other pieces are available in wrought aluminum and teak.
What you'll find
Furniture is the main attraction: sofas, dining sets, tables, chairs, bar stools, rocking chairs, chaises, armoires and china cabinets are the largest pieces. Many sport original designs; others are reproductions of European antiques. Around the main pieces, buyers will find candlesticks, pillows, artwork, lamps, outdoor area rugs, umbrellas, wall clocks, fireplace screens, vases, potted silk plants and tile-topped tables.
Best sellers
The hot items are the aluminum chairs designed with shields inspired by the Biltmore Estate, and interlocking hearts, copied from window grates in Europe. "We also have woven patterns inspired by Provence," said Mannino. Another popular design is the shutter-back chair, selling in wrought aluminum for $360.
Trends
Outdoor rooms are the big push right now, and buyers are going for looks that don't scream "patio furniture." Many pieces from the store's collection of aluminum, teak and woven wicker have the look of hand-carved wood.
