Our reviewers pick the top shows:

TRUE COLORS THEATRE

‘Miss Evers’ Boys’

A Kenny Leon’s troupe inaugurates the new 375-seat theater at Fulton County’s Southwest Arts Center with David Feldshuh’s disturbing, wry, sentimental take on the infamous Tuskegee study. (Pierre Ruhe)

Through March 21. 404-588-0234, www.truecolorstheatre.org.

ALLIANCE THEATRE

‘Class of 3000 Live’

B- Based on the Cartoon Network series by Andre Benjamin and Tommy Lynch, this children’s show about a famous musician who goes to teach at an Atlanta performing arts school is splashed with indelible personality and quirky storytelling. Though it never quite cranks its thang up, it deserves an “E” for effort. (Wendell Brock)

Through March 29. Woodruff Arts Center. 404-733-5000, alliancetheatre.org.
