The 27 luxury townhomes at Concord Hall in Smyrna have three and four bedrooms, wooden and stone exteriors, courtyards, media rooms and elevators.
“This is a cutting-edge community that appeals to young executives and empty nesters who want to live in a close-in area and who enjoy the finer things of life,” said Mona Stephen of R. Stephen & Associates.
Stephen chose a soft color palette of taupe, canary yellow, brown and blue and sophisticated furnishings throughout the four-level townhome.
“We wanted to keep everything neutral and bring color in through fabrics and artwork so the decor wouldn’t distract from the architectural elements. The townhomes have the same attention to detail and superior workmanship as the builders’ $1 million single-family homes,” Stephen said.
Stephen painted the trim in the family room chocolate brown to contrast with the cream walls and show off the coffered ceiling, the crown molding and the details on the mantel.
“Using lighter wall colors and darker trim is the latest decorating trend,” she said.
She used a combination of luxury materials —- silks, leathers, velvets, and satins —- throughout the townhome and added texture with rich wood, ornate iron pieces and dried grasses.
Located in the heart of Smyrna, Concord Hall’s townhomes surround a richly landscaped one-acre garden with walking paths, a gazebo and three fountains. The community has an outdoor fireplace with a picnic pavilion.
Living room
A leather ottoman does double duty as a coffee table and additional seating in this cozy room with a coffered ceiling. A pair of chocolate brown console units flank the fireplace. Decorative objects include a pair wrought-iron accent pieces in front of the fireplace and tall vases of dried botanicals.
Kitchen
This sleek room features custom raised-panel cabinets with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. A combination of mosaic and decorative tile was used to create the artwork under the vent hood with wood surround.
Master bedroom
Soothing blues and taupe and silky fabrics create a serene retreat. The 6-foot high tufted silk headboard was custom-designed by Stephen. The bedding is pale blue silk and matches the silk draperies. The ornate mantel is accented by a pair of turquoise ceramic vases and an iron medallion. The carved iron medallion and grasses in the ceramic vases on the mantel add contrasting texture. The room is large enough for a writing desk and chair and a dresser and chest that match the espresso wood night stand.
