The Stone plan, one of two model homes at Stonebridge in Forsyth County, is decorated with traditional furniture and a color palette of copper, chocolate, champagne and other colors.
The other model, the Everwood, is decorated in cream and blue with plantation-style furnishings, said Angela Hogan of Beazer Homes.
“This community appeals to move-up buyers who are baby boomers with families and who want to move out of the city into an area with a small-town feeling. Recognizing that Atlanta is still a pretty traditional town, we used traditional furnishings but added up-to-date touches,” she said.
For instance, the artwork in the formal living room features large photos of antique chairs in vintage frames.
“The chairs and frames are traditional, but the way they are used is a popular trend today,” she said.
To maintain continuity in the open floor plan, Hogan used the same color scheme and similar elements throughout the living areas. For instance, the valances in the family room are chocolate with copper bands and those in the kitchen and breakfast area are copper with chocolate bands. The furniture in the dining room and family room is natural cherry. The formal dining room and formal living room have silk window panels in chocolate and copper with beaded trim.
Located in south Forsyth County, Stonebridge is a community of single-family homes with three to six bedrooms. Community amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts and clubhouse.
Breakfast area
The marble-topped pedestal table sits on a custom rug made of cut pile and shag carpeting in copper, chocolate and cream. There’s plenty of seating, with the ladder-back chairs with cream upholstery and copper-colored wrought-iron stools at the breakfast bar. The cotton valances on the window are copper with chocolate banding and match the window treatment in the adjacent kitchen.
Boy’s bedroom
The decor in this room evokes the popular Guitar Hero game. The mural features a huge guitar, a list of famous guitar makers and the Rolling Stones logo. The Mission-style bed features a brown cotton canvas spread and accent pillows in an orange and brown geometric pattern that matches the band on the top of the soft brown window panels.
Game room
There’s room for a billiards table, a chenille sofa and a pair of armchairs in the loft. The faux finish gives the accent wall the look of leather. The sheer panels on the windows are copper with a metallic sheen.
Living room
Traditional furniture and modern elements combine in this cozy sitting room. The sofa, with a chocolate and copper floral print, has traditional styling in contrast to the more contemporary chairs with chocolate seats and copper and champagne accent pillows.
