WHERE CAN I FIND IT?

Q: Our sources for buying live blue crabs —- Harry's and DeKalb Farmer's Market —- seem to have dried up. Are there any markets on the north side of Atlanta still selling them? Thanks for any help.

LYNN HAMMOND, Canton

A: I spoke with someone at Harry's in Alpharetta and was told that live blue crabs now are available only by the case —- about 40 pounds or so. The good news, however, is that you can still get your fill of live blue crabs. Check out Buford Highway Farmer's Market, 5600 Buford Highway, Atlanta, 770-455-0770. The huge market sells live blue crabs for $2.99 per pound.

Q: First of all, let me say, I love reading your column in the paper every week. Recently, I am having trouble finding Goya salt. All the other salts are pretty salty and I think Goya salt is better than all other salts. I was able to find it once at Mercado del Pueblo, but that is a hit or a miss. I want to know where can I find it every time.

ITI SODHANI, Roswell

A: Give the market another try. I recently found plenty of 26-ounce cartons of Goya iodized salt on the shelves. If you're worried that the store might not restock in a timely manner, then you could stock up. Each carton costs 99 cents at Mercado del Pueblo, 649 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, 770-998-1722.

Q: I have been trying to find a plastic sun protector that clips onto sunglasses to cover the nose. I saw one a few years ago, and it was white plastic that was thick enough to rest on the nose without blowing off on a windy day but lightweight enough not to be bothersome. It completely covered the nose. It was an excellent sun protector, especially for people who have suffered with skin cancer on the nose or have problems using sunscreen. I would be so appreciative if you could help me locate this.

A: Lisa, I found a sun protection nose guard that sounds exactly like the one you describe. It's endorsed by the American Alpine Institute and clips onto any type of sunglasses. It's made of nylon and moisture wicking faux chamois. The protector is hand washable and designed to stay in place even for active sports such as cycling and snow skiing. It's available in different sizes for $6.50 through www.sungrubbies.com.
