The Braves acquired Fred McGriff from San Diego in the middle of the 1993 season for prospect Vince Moore, Donnie Elliott and Melvin Nieves. McGriff batted over .300 with a 1.000-plus OPS over his first two years with the Braves. His two homers, helped Atlanta win the World Series in 1995.
