The Braves picked up the option for catcher Brian McCann for 2013. The six-time All-Star has played in nearly 1,000 games for the Braves and has a .991 fielding percentage. He was tied for fifth in the league last season with 76 stolen bases allowed by a catcher. The five-time Silver Slugger Award winner is career .279 hitter.
