GOLDEN SUNRISE--Mar. 4, 2013, 2013 Atlanta: A pedestrian walks along Capitol Avenue at I-20 as Monday's sunrise brought its golden rays across the Atlanta skyline Monday, Mar. 4, 2013 giving a hint of warmth to come. After barely cracking the 40-degree mark over the weekend and dipping into the 20s early Monday, metro Atlanta temperatures will rebound into the 60s by Tuesday, forecasters said. But along with that warm-up comes a good chance of rain. Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said there would be a 60 percent chance of rain later in the day Tuesday, when highs should climb into the low 60s. The bulk of the rain should hold off until after the morning commute, Minton said. Wednesday will be windy and colder, with highs in the mid-40s after morning lows in the low 30s, but Thursday and Friday should be sunny and warmer, with highs in the mid-50s Thursday and low 60s Friday and lows remaining in the 30s.
