Arms, cityhood, a fine man of letters
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Thinking Right’s weekend free-for-all. Pick a topic:
Imagine that. The Second Amendment is real. We can keep and bear arms. Now let’s agree that when a gun is used to commit a crime, the problem is with the shooter and not with the weapon.
Before Barack Obama tries his skills of persuasion on a bad guy who threatens us —- Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, no preconditions —- he should test them on a seriously bad guy who doesn’t —- Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe. Today’s runoff election there is an international joke. Fearing for his life, opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has withdrawn. The U.S. can sputter in outrage, but our obligation is to deal with the bad guys whose existence threatens us.
The city of Buckhead? Won’t happen. Without Buckhead, Atlanta sinks. It’s 45 percent of the city’s $72.4 billion in property. There’s a lesson here, though. Fulton County drove Sandy Springs to cityhood. Just as bad private-sector managers create unions, bad public-sector managers create cities.
Two state senators of substance, one D, one R, opt out of the Gold Dome Games. Michael S. Meyer von Bremen (D-Albany) —- a former minority leader and one of two Democrats whom Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle allowed to chair committees —- qualified this week to run for a vacancy on the Georgia Court of Appeals. Joe Carter (R-Tifton), one of Gov. Sonny Perdue’s floor leaders, dropped out of a Senate race he had won (no opposition) to qualify for an unexpected Superior Court opening. A special GOP primary will be held Aug. 5 to choose a replacement. Neither Carter nor Meyer von Bremenever struck me as suited to the intense partisan warfare at the Capitol.
Headline: “Former president willing to help Obama campaign.” The former president is Bill Clinton. Help? Make Hillary the food taster.
Jim Durrett, executive director of the Liveable Communities Coalition, writing in support of the Beltline rail project, reflects the ancient view that those of us who live beyond I-285 are all trying to get to Atlanta’s downtown. Writes he: “We’ve spent the past 40 years building suburbs that are beginning to look unsustainable at $4 a gallon.” We of the “suburbs” are neighbors, not dependents, and when the state devises a transportation plan that moves us where we need to go, instead of just to Atlanta’s downtown, or in a circle around it, we’ll sustain ourselves just fine. Boss, we ain’t your young’uns.
The federal government should have had a bidder at Sunday’s auction of condos near downtown Atlanta. The lowest-bid condo was priced at $183,900 and went for $132,000. The highest-bid was priced at $379,900 and went for $263,000. What does that tell us? That housing’s still overpriced here, downtown condos by about 25 percent to 30 percent. This Congress surely will intervene to prevent the free market from working. Its latest effort is a $300 billion bailout for lenders and borrowers.
The Justice Department’s inspector general says recruiters improperly used “political or ideological” considerations to find and hire conservative interns. Ideology can be considered in recruiting political appointees, but not otherwise. Justice officials should get more sophisticated in screening to hire conservatives. Anybody doubt that colleges and employers look for the codes in applications and essays to achieve diversity? Ideological diversity is important, too.
Letter writers become friends, and their passing evokes sadness. Dr. Harrison L. Rogers Jr., a distinguished general surgeon and former president of the American Medical Association, died this week. He was among the well-read regulars whose intelligent and civil commentary enriched public discourse.
Stop presses! Study finds that elementary school teachers are poorly prepared by college schools of education to teach math. An exception is my alma mater, the University of Georgia. It requires teacher candidates to take math courses not designed for teachers.

If the “law” states that I have the “right to bear arms” than why do arms limit me to only guns or knives? When it was written people used muskets that had to be loaded for each shot. If I happen to be of means to be able to afford a grenade launcher, or even a missle for “protection” of my home and family, why am I not allowed to do so?
The interpretation of this law is still lacking in many ways. If I have a right to bear arms, than my arms of choice should be able include a small nuclear device, or ANY weapon I can afford.
Go ahead you republican “scholars” and fox news watchers. Explain to why I can not own those things. Tell me how the second ammendment limits me to guns and not grenade launchers or small improvised dirty radiation bombs.
I’ll be waiting. Let your fine GA education shine through as always… ;-)

Idealogical diversity is important too?!? Jim’s posit is way too funny given that he’d be screaming from the rafters if a Democrat were to do this. In fact I’m fairly certain that some rightard will be along shortly to say “Clinton did it®” but the simple facts are this:
Clinton, as with probably every POTUS in the past, hired friends and children of friends to the DOJ. Not illegal.
Bush, unlike any POTUS in the past, systematically set up hiring practices that excluded anyone with even the perception of being a Democrat or liberal. They just didn’t care how smart, what sort of school they’d matriculated from or their GPA. Illegal.
You can’t defend this, it’s indefensible. It’s very disappointing to me that we’ll not see Bush impeached. I have very mixed feelings about the possibility of The Hague bringing war crimes charges against he and his cabal but only because it could potentially hurt some US service member in the future. Heckuva job Bushie.

Down the list:
1.) Jim sometimes I wish you’d be more specific. I really am curious to know what you propose Obama do in the instance of Mugabe. Oh, and how does one get “Chang”erai from Tsvangerai? Weird. 2.) Insightful. I hadn’t thought of it that was before. 3.) Eh, who cares? 4.) Maybe Obama has already told the Clintons there will be no VP slot. Bill seems ticked off. Or maybe, he’s just a poor loser. 5.) Are you saying that the only mass transit that will work is that which eliminates all need to walk a few blocks? That type of system would be too expensive. Maybe that’s why you advocate paving the entire surface of Georgia. If we paved Lake Lanier, that would solve the evaporation problem. 6.) Heaven forbid the government rolls out housing price supports. 7.) Not sure I understand what you’re implying, but I’m sure the smarter readers here will teach me. 8.) Condolences. 9.) Education seems to have been rurnt by spending so much time on ever changing theories on how to teach the material, rather than teachers actual mastery of the material.

I wonder why we don’t get a single mention of North Korea on the Friday “free-for-all” blog. Surely that should be one of the top ten current political issues. Perhaps it’s because Jim is disappointed that the multi-lateral talks are apparently working. Well shucks, if Jim were the “decider” we would’ve nuked em or liberated those North Koreans. That certainly would have made us safer. Right Jim?

Mr. Wooten:
Justice Scalia, writing for the majority in that gun case yesterday, says that the Constitution restricts some places where people might carry guns. He also says that “dangerous and unusual guns” should be restricted.
Can you help me find where Justice Scalia found that in the Constitution? I don’t see those words in the 2nd Admendment. Is he one of those revisionist democrats on the Court that Senator McCain opposes? You know, the type that reads the 2nd Amendment and interprets what they believe the Amendment should say or is he one of those constructive republican judges that interpret the words of the Constitution as they are written?
Although I am sure he is a decent enough person, this sounds to me like a fellow that the republicans would like to get rid off that Court.

DaveD@8:20 - while the handgun serves as a stand in for a small pecker, sadly the right has yet to find a way to accent their lack of grey matter.

Morning all. Since I was summarily roasted yesterday, I will keep my early comments brief.
The one line that struck me when I read the free for all: Now let’s agree that when a gun is used to commit a crime, the problem is with the shooter and not with the weapon.
Jim, True, but you have to admit, the person can do a lot more damage with a firearm that he was allowed to carry, than his bare hands had a firearm ban been in place.

Will @ 8.31, what evidence do you have to suggest that Scalia is “a decent enough person”?
I’d have to search far and wide to find a more blatantly and willfully obnoxious public figure than he.
Guess this story slipped down the old memory hole…
“To my critics, I say, ‘Vaffanculo,’” while making the hand gesture. “Vaffanculo” in Italian loosely means “(expletive) you.” The more literal translation is even more crude.

Wooten, what is Bush doing about Robert Mugabe?? He’s the President now, and has the power to make things happen at this moment. Must not be any oil there. What are McCain’s views on the subject?
As far as the housing market here, are you saying that the government shouldn’t step in at all and regulate the mortgage companies? The same companies that inflated these prices, and put people in loans they knew they couldn’t afford? Isn’t that an ethical matter, you know ETHICS a company should have if they want to work in a ‘free market’ society? Or should we just let them do whatever they want, as the government has under Bush and then bail THEM out when they have to writeoff billions in losses? Everything was fine as long as the ARM loans stayed in ‘THOSE’ neighborhoods. No one said a word.
You really are an old fossil Wooten, and they day is surely coming when old time thinking like yours will be put out to pasture.

He wouldn’t hurt a flea although I do wish he would at least leave them outdoors instead of bringing them in the house. Dawg — that’s his name, Dawg — is not one to go out looking for trouble. Nope, he just sits back and barks in an annoying sort of way. It’s his way of saying “Here I Am, Come and Get Some”. Of course, all bark and no bite may work just fine for the stranger that’s just passin’ through but once someone gets to know ole Dawg, they learn real quick that the only real harm he poses is the possibility that he might short out your keyboard when he drools on it. ‘Course, that’s just my opinion.

Jim, UGA called and asked that you stop reminding people you graduated from there. Something about it hurting recruiting. What in the world are you trying to say in “points” 2, 6 and 7? Almost incomprehensible writing. If no. 6 is just about more roads, time to put a cork in it. We know your opinion, and repeating it over and over every day ad nauseum will not make you right. It is the wrong approach. As for point 2, that’s Bush’s job, not Obama. Unfortunately, George the Tonguetied is still president. He needs to deal with Mugabe, not just phone in the next six months. You are flat out wrong about your comments on the Justice Dept. scandal. The career track is designed to hire the best and the brightest, regardless of political persuasion. The systematic exclusion of “liberals and/or Democrats” for 8 years flies in the face of that purpose. Haven’t we seen enough of the workings of the Justice Dept. to know that the political hirings don’t work. Unless you have some evidence that other administrations have used the political hammer like Alberto and his henchmen, your comment about ideological diversity rings hollow. The career track is not about ideology in any form. It is about attracting the best and brightest lawyers to work for the government, to forego the big private firm paychecks. After 8 years of a republican president, time to stop complaining about the lack of conservatives in government. You should be complaining about the politization of what should be the most nonpartisan department of the government.

But hey, maybe I’m being harsh. Here’s what he said, and I’m sure he never, ever intended ANYONE to think he was talking about that half-colored guy, B. Hussein Osama…
“Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: “Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.” We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history. Certain classes of weapons, machine guns, fully automatic rifles and pistols can be owned after obtaining the proper licenses. G’Mornin Jim, et al,
You know, I find it curious, if not offensive, that the City of Atlanta acts and treats people from the burbs like we are some type of blight on downtown.
If find the situation just the opposite. I don’t want to go downtown—-for anything. That doesn’t mean I don’t go, it’s just that I don’t WANT to go. With new entertainment venues opening (Encore Park, Peachtree City, Gwinnett Arena/Braves, Atlanta Force) I am finding fewer and fewer reasons to put up with it.
Without suburb people—occasionally—being forced to go downtown, the city’s current financial crisis would look like a cake walk.
You know what, Atlanta? $crew you!

Ron, Thanks for responding to my question yet you obviously missed my point. The 2nd Amendment says I have “a right to bear arms” doe it not? Why then do I not have the “right” to choose the arms of my own free will and choice? Where does it say ANYTHING about there being limits to those arms? If you say there are laws that DO in fact “restrict” certain types of arms, what gives one the right to limit my choice? Where does it say that in the amendment? If I want to have a grenade launcher, is that not an “arm” that I can use to protect, or kill as part of a miltia? Where does it say that I have to be in the military to use a “government owned” granade launcher? Why not a personal one if I can afford to buy one?
My question deals with the “right to bear arms” and since there is no difinition of what “arms” are in the amendment, anyone should be able to own any weapon of their own choosing. If not, than all should be restricted to arms meaning ONLY single shot muskets. That was what the the law was written about, was it not?
I’m against guns, yet if you say I have the right to bear arms, I do believe that ALL arms should be available to ALL. There are NO RESTRICTIONS in the amendment. That goes for felons, rapists, and the insane. Funny how the republicans always call for less government intrusion in public lives…yet that is ALL we get from republicans in charge. Intrusion on all levels. Most of all in the bedrooms arcoss the country, and with a woman’s oen body.
It’s either muskets for ALL that want to bear arms, or arms=any weapon of your choosing.
Perhaps my question and logic is going over your head. Must be that fine GA education system so many of you had the honor to attend…. ;-)

Well, what’s new? The guys who can’t think for themselves want to tell us EXACTLY what Jim Wooten is thinking. How about just telling us YOUR opinion of the material presented? Skip the sqawking, the racial discrimination, the dirty suggestions and the displays of ignorance. OK????
Mugabe..heard him on TV last night fuming away that NO OUTSIDE (read USA) ‘forces’ are going to ruin HIS election. Neither Bush nor Obama or McCain can alter this elected tyrant’s ignorance and cruelty. So much for diplomacy. What do you libs suggest? War??
I don’t carry a gun but there are several here at home. The Constitution suits me just fine. 911 suits me just fine also. The worst crime here is having my mailbox mowed down and shredded last week. The driver did not stop. Well…I did feel like shooting him but wouldn’t have.
Not sure I want more highways. DOT took half my back yard. I would hate to see the front yard go.
Picking out people who please you for jobs? That’s been going on for a thousand or so years, hasn’t it? For some reason, people like to work with people whom they think will have good sense like them.
Doctors are the greatest. My father was one. So was his brother. My Dad served the medical needs of a small town for one and all no matter your finances, your race or your “position” in life. He served overseas during wartime. He served on the State Board of Health for 30 years. He served at church. He had babies named after him by grateful patients. He was the best father a child could ever have. Yep, I have great admiration for doctors.
Teachers come good and bad. So do parents. It takes both to give a child a great education.

You can’t get away from those people anyway, they’ll just follow you. Is that a real question? And you want to poke fun at others? Just like the First Amendment has its limitations (the old can’t yell “fire” in a crowded theater) so too does the Second Amendment. The Court acknowledged there are limitations to the Second regarding regulations at schools and government buildings and likewise certain types of weaponry can be regulated. It would help if you actually read the opinion and understood the historical background of how the term “arms” has been used from our Founding Fathers forward.

Watching the imbecilic lice ridden, should have been aborted retarded leftist scum puking up their unremitting psychotic lies and bile on here is always enormously entertaining. Nice to see the collective moveyourbowels.org rabid infestation of Bush Derangement Syndrome is now full blown and at truly epidemic levels. In Hollywood I understand they are now guiltily saying (in extremely rare, fleeting moments of lucidity) the very best “instant” cure for BDS is a well aimed hollow point .45 bullet selflessly donated into any presenting sullen extrachromosomed treasonous surrender monkey forehead. Sadly I only have an M & P S&W.40 so the unconfined joy of FINALLY ridding the world of the lemming like hordes of worthless far left Bush hating scum will fall to those true patriots with a slightly bigger calibre than I.
Hilarious to see that yesterday the shameless oxygen wasting leftist vermin in ALL their bilious fury at the unbelievably belated (better late than never though) protection of law abiding 2nd Amendment folks were UTTERLY DEVOID of any rational explanation of how it is that Washington DC - with its hysterical useless ILLEGAL gun grabbing ban has FAR WORSE violent crime than virtually all areas that do NOT have ILLEGAL gun grabbing bans.
Now the world knows and sees, in all its sick and twisted glory that the simple, legitimate notion of legitimate self defence is anathema to control freak liberal dogturds. Leftist pigswill care not for ordinary folks, but yet feverishly slobber and salivate over the rights of thuggish ebonics puking blacks in DC to be free to continue their decades long murderous criminal predator spree unfettered by ANY possibility of the local citizenry fighting back before the local plod maybe???? make it to the scene.
Such is the leftist pigswill concern for the local DC community. The exact same bollocks has long been disgustingly perpetrated in and around the SLEAZY LAND DEAL WITH A CRIMINAL RACKETEER home of the racist black elephant eared half-black LIES LIKE A KLINTON scumbag Hussein Obama. With the requisite archetypal murderous black on black criminality spinning out of control in black Chicago.
The worthlessness of hypocritical treasonous yellowbellied racebaiting liberals is only surpassed by the flawless, inexorable case for their IMMEDIATE ERADICATION and permanent removal from ANY/ALL postions of power!!

The United States, England, League of Nations/United Nations didn’t settle the Jews in Madagascar because they already had a beach-head in apartheid South Africa for the purpose of subjugating Africans. A Jewish state wasn’t needed in Africa.
The United States, England, the League of Nations/United Nations decided that a foothold was needed to control Arabs/Persians. So after the Second World War, the powers that be took Palestine by force from the Palestinians and established the State of Israel. So when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has a problem with the State of Israel, you know exactly what he’s talking about.
Forty years ago, credible black leaders warned Negroes that a vote for integration is a vote for volunteer slavery and genocide. We can take a cursory look at the masses of African Americans today, their extremely poor health, pitiful outward appearance, inner confusion, and reason that that the credible black leaders were prophetic. It appears that the identical deception is being offered to Zimbabweans. Robert Mugabe recently said that a vote for Morgan Tsvangirai is a vote for re-colonization.
The problem that most people have with Robert Mugabe is that he took the arable land/farms from white settlers by force. Zimbabweans had been waiting patiently for the legal rightful transfer of their land for over thirty years. And the powers that be had signed treaties, resolutions, laws, etc. authorizing the transfer. But it turned out that the resolutions agreed to was not worth the paper it was written on. So Robert Mugabe decided to act.

Poor liberals. In their law books, only the second amendment is to be interpreted using an originalist perspective. All of the rest of the constitution means what they want it to mean right now. When they read the constitution they find a right for terrorists to come to US courts but can’t find the right for ordinary citizens to own firearms. And they want to make fun of other’s education.

You missed one point completely. I think for myself. Jim Wooten also does his own thinking. That may be something new and untried by liberals but it still works.
I wrote about the general principle of hiring. Clinton followed that premise by dumping the whole crowd in the Justice Department at one swoop as soon as he took office.
Mukasey, a fine and good legalist, has followed legal lines which say you must hire what SEEMS the best, not the ones you know you can best work with. Too bad he wasn’t around when Clinton did what he wanted to do without regard to law, ethics or morality. But, alas, his Attorny General seemed blind to the illegal antics of her mentor. Too bad..

It also looks like the ecology will be a big issue in the election, especially with the news out today.
(CNN) — The North Pole may be briefly ice-free by September as global warming melts away Arctic sea ice, according to scientists from the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colorado.
Scientists say it’s a 50-50 bet that the thin Arctic sea ice will completely melt away at the geographic North Pole.
Look like if there are actually any Right Ring Republicans that actually CARE about their children, and grandkids, they will wake up smell the coffee, and get it on about the ecology of the planet.
But hey who cares about Republican kids anyway….. PROBABLY NOT REPUBLICANS……. there is way too much money to make and loose if we actually worry about saving Mother Earth!

Reading the comments from the left-wing morons that usually haunt these boards makes me realize why the AJC is tanking. Aside from Mr. Wooten, they pander to the idiots on the left who are too stupid to form rational thoughts, much less figure out how to slide 2 quarters in a slot to buy their favorite rag.
I get a small amount of satisfaction in the knowledge that leftist stupidity must at some point collapse upon itself. In the meantime, I’ll sit and chuckle as the Marxist douchebags substitute name-calling (yes, yes, I know, Leftist nitwits - I just engaged in same) for logical discourse. This is what they were taught in the fine universities - follow the left-wing mantra, and fall down and scream like a 5 year old if anyone dares to challenge your assumptions.

Yesterday you had the temerity to write..”Clinton’s impeachment was as real as truth can be. He can’t even practice law.”

Also, you never explained where you got the figure for those 29 Obama operatives lurking here in Georgia.

Dusty, Dusty, Dusty… Clinton fired the US Attorneys, all of whom are political appointees. We are talking here about the hiring practices of career (read nonpolitical, nonpartisan, nonappointed) lawyers for the nonpartisan Justice Department. Not at all the same thing. To Dave D.-The Constitution was written on parchement with a quill pen, so does the 1st Amendment cover only writings made by scribes using gall-ink? The Constitution is a living document which must evolve with the times. Computers did not exist when it was drafted. Modern firearms using “smokeless” powder were not invented at the time, but the drafters had enough wisdom to take into account technological advances.
I agree that certain persons-such as yourself-have no need for firearms. There are, however, a large number of responsible persons who use them responsibly and have need for them. It comes down to whether you wish to assume responsibility for yourself or whether you wish for the government to take care of you.
Why no rocket launchers? The drafters of the Constitution realized that the right of self protection did not require heavy artillary, and the modern interpretation (evolution) of the Constitution recognizes this.

Yet more despicable pandering bias in the party of hate media:
The other day in Cleveland OH three knuckle dragging pieces of vile black yoof scum, just 15 - 17 years old according to reports, beat a law abiding penniless homeless WHITE man in his 40’s to death - FOR NO REASON WHATEVER. He had no money and was just walking down the street in the early evening. Yet virtually all the local Cleveland media I have seen gutlessly shies away from admitting/reporting the gutless murderous black yoof scum were black. The only media report that I found mentions they were black was the story on freerepublic.com, which is hardly party of pandering hate media.
Clearly this is some kind of black on white hate crime - a simple thuggish robbery rarely ends up in a frenzied lynching like this - yet the party of liberal hate pandering media is utterly silent about that.
But just imagine the endless shrill national outrage if three white yoofs had beaten to death an equally law abiding homeless black man in his 40’s!!

As to Obama’s influx of paid Democratic workers, go to Google and bring up Obama’s paid political workers in Georgia. The number ranges from 20 on UP and they continue to come.
Obama has plenty of money because he broke his promise to McCain to abide by election finance rules. After seeing he could get more money otherwise, he broke his promise. So what’s a little LIE to a liberal Democrat?? Absolutely nothing. Obama is no different from other small time nefarious politicians from Chicago.

Seams the court ruled around 1926 that the government could limit the individual’s access to fully automatic weapons as a result of some criminal elements in society. Now they have clarified that we have a right to have weapons, in as much as a total ban is unconstitutional. Now will start the great debate as to how far a community can go in defining what arms are acceptable for self defense and hunting.

Can we agree that if a gun is used in a crime, the victim is, in many circumstances, dead? He or she will leave behind loves one who will grieve. The victim’s families will often times suffer financial losses, torment, dispair and emptiness. And, no matter how much the family will pine for the victim, he or she will never come back home.
The NRA will be OK with that.
I say that because I was robbed at gunpoint on the job as a restaurant manager by a man holding a pistol. I was powerless to prevent that person from shooting me if he wanted to. He had me tied up and on my knees in front of him for thirty minutes before he decided to let me go. If it was up the NRA—who doesn’t believe in any gun restrictions, he would be allowed to own that gun legally—even though it was revealed in court that his record was as long as my arm. He was caught when he shot a police officer in Augusta with that same gun.
Am I in favor of gun control? Absolutely, and for good reason. I also bet you that if Justice Scalia went through what I did that night, he’d be in favor of it also.

Always instructive to hear about the many exploits of Robert “Taking it Back For the People” Mugabe. His peculiar brand of tyranny has left Zimbabwe in an economic and social shambles. At least under Ian Smith the former Rhodesia was economically productive and food was plentiful.
Unlike the nutless wonder, Morgan Tsvangirai, Ian Smith returned to Zimbabwe even after Robert Mugabe took over the country. The return went without incident even though Mugabe threatened to have Smith arrested. You see Smith was a man of integrity even if his governmental philosophy was outdated. I wonder when Mr. Tsvangirai and his fellow Zimbabs are going to grow a set (like Smith) and demand that democratic elections be upheld. Not likely soon I would estimate.

As an NRA member, and an avid hunter, I cheer the supreme courts decision on gun laws.
The price of gas has put the kabosh on drive by shootings, which were the only reason to have gun laws anyway, so it’s a win win.
However, in New Jersey, different ethnic gangs are carpooling and combining revenge drive-by’s. Last week the Bloods shared a low rider with a Mexican gang, and they picked up a hitch hiking Asian gang. They drove by China town and blew away a rival Korean gang who were horning in on their tofu territory first, then they drove all the way on the crosstown bronx Xway to ambush these no account Crips who were just axin’ for it, and then the Mexican blasted a crowd who were patronizing a rival gang’s dance hall. Then the gangs turned the guns on each other arguing over who gets to ride shotgun on the way home and the world was rid of a bunch of pests.
Win win!

I can’t help you if you don’t know how to use Google. Even the Herald Times had an article. Use the updated info. The number of workers keeps growing as election time gets nearer.
Try to keep up.

what exactly is a “lib”?
You seem to so quickly try to cloud any debate or counter a point with that cop out. Is someone a “lib” simply because they might from time to time favor a political candidate who might be a Democrat?
Does it matter that I am a 2nd Amendment guy?
Does it matter that I am a baptized Christian?
Does it matter that I am very much for limited government?
I do not support homosexual marriage..
BUT…I do typically support Democrats because with my unique perspective I know that the “Conservative” party is blatantly opposed to my progress as a minority, though they give lip service that they are.

How about I respond with another riddle based in a false dilemma? If you have a “right” of free speech, how come you do not have the right to walk into a courtroom and call a judge an SOB? Or the right to walk up to a cop and call him a c—sucker? How come you can’t scream “fire” in a crowded theater? How come you can’t scream profanity in a school?
