Brittle loss, bogus lives, Iraq
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Thinking Right’s weekend free-for-all. Pick a topic:
When my 95-year-old mother-in-law died two years ago, I knew Sophie Mae peanut brittle would suffer a financial blow. But dang. Rich’s. Davison’s. The C&S bank. Southern institutions gone. And Sophie Mae’s on a flatbed headed north. Old Atlanta may have gone, but the corporatists can never take away our world-famous heat and humidity.
The contest is over. A winner is declared. It’s State Sen. Vincent Fort of Atlanta, who wins the coveted prize of unlimited airtime on all local TV networks in the New Motto for Grady contest. Fort’s entry, inspired by the news that the state has given the hospital $12.7 million for its trauma center, the lion’s share of available money, offered this unforgettable new motto: It’s Still Not Enough.
What gives? MARTA presumably is the beneficiary of high gas prices —- and yet it’s projecting a deficit of $43 million for the coming year after reporting back-to-back surpluses.
MARTA’s setting the example for other governments in one respect, though. Rather than add employees for the brief spell needed to instruct riders on the new Breeze card payment system, it hired contract workers. When the job’s done, they go. Not surprisingly, though, some object, insisting that taking the contract job meant they’d become MARTA employees. Huh? One contract employee is said to be “angry.” Your anger is not my mandate.
Evidence from Massachusetts is a reminder that the proper term for the “uninsured” is “self-insured” when people who can afford to buy health insurance choose not to because they prefer to spend the premiums on something that gives them pleasure. In Massachusetts, 5 percent of taxpayers failed to buy health insurance —- and almost half were fined $219 because they could afford it but still didn’t buy. Strip mandates and allow purchasers to buy health insurance anywhere in the country and combine it with health savings accounts and catastrophic coverage. Penalize people for not having coverage. The self-insured will buy.
The most difficult job in Georgia is being a caseworker for the Division of Family & Children Services. You’ve got to be the momma, the daddy, the psychiatrist and the omniscient protector —- and in the instance you’re not, you get fired. The best approach to the problems of children at risk is to do everything we can to make certain they come into the world with a mother and a father in the home.
Holy cow! Breaking news from the Free Enterprise front. Stop presses. A “reinvigorated focus on price” enables Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, to beat out the competition in a tough economic environment. Briefly, for the Obama economists who peruse these reports, it means that when prices (or taxes) are lowered, business (or government) wins. Wal-Mart’s stock is close to a 52-week high. Time for a windfall profits tax on successful retailers. And take away any tax incentive to build new stores or maintain the ones they have.
I’m beginning to believe half the newcomers to metro Atlanta are running from the law, lies, lives or ex-wives. Investors with newcomer Kirk Wright got bogus statements. The wife of fake physician Eric Perteet, another newcomer, got from him bogus transcripts and degrees.
Headline: “Rivals take their shots at absent Chambliss.” Uh, the absent Chambliss has no primary opponent and hence no reason to appear onstage with five Democrats and a Libertarian. It would be noble of him to consent to be their punching bag, but why?
Must we go the entire summer with the partisans distorting John McCain’s position on the Iraqi phase of the war? They jumped with glee when McCain said on the “Today” show, in response to a question about whether he had a timetable for troops to be out (Barack Obama’s is 16 months), “No, but that’s not too important. What’s important is the casualties in Iraq.” The Left insists that the two options are to bail out in 16 months or to stay in a shooting war for 100 years. Dishonest.

Good morning all. Dear Jim, even if they take everything else, Atlanta and Georgia will always be known for a certain carbonated beverage. Most places have no particular corporate identity. Think how St. Louis feels this week.
Sen. Fort deserves no special credit for using the leftist mantra for the hospital motto. That is how the thieves justify all wasteful government spending.
Management Antagonizes Riders Throughout Atlanta. To paraphrase the horndog, “It’s the leadership - stupid.”
Why does the written conjoining of “anger” and “mandate” trigger images of California homosexuals?
I favor allowing anyone or everyone to go uninsured, in any aspect of existence. There is no intelligent reason my preferences for personal budget allocations should be forced on anyone else. For example, repeal the mandatory automobile insurance requirement, and simultaneously abolish all vehicle-vehicle torts. Insure, or fail to insure, your own losses, and don’t come whining to the courthouse if you are improvident in your choices.
I will avoid my normal hostile commentary on bureaucrats in any discussion of DFaCS caseworkers. Those poor bureaucrats work at charity rates, in a field with only terrible stories raging around. Has to be one of the psychologically-hardest jobs anywhere. Grim, grim, grim. Like working at the dog pound, except even worse. I’ll award the appellation I generally reserve for the American military, “noble.”
Probably should not joke about leftists going after an honorable institution like Walmart. You surely noticed the controllers prevented Walmart from offering its services at a new location in Gwinnett. Disgusting, leftists rage all around.
“I’m beginning to believe half the newcomers to metro Atlanta are running from the law, lies, lives or ex-wives.” I had a funny friend, attorney, in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Really classy guy, born and reared in Chicago, Viet Vet, great, great fellow. I asked him, “how does a bright, classy fellow wind up in Hohenwald?” His great answer was, “that was the last place that did not run me off.” Probably some core truth in the observation. I know I dragged my family to Atlanta to try to get my older son away from some undesirable influences; didn’t work, at least, not for long, so I do not urge my example.
The headline could have read, “Rival takes potshots at absent Obama.” The silver-tongued one decided to pass up the NYC town hall. Turns out all of his gaffes arise at town hall meetings. Evidently cannot work without a script.
So the left presents false alternatives about Iraq. Certainly an Inspector Renault moment. That has been the case since the beginning. Remember, “if we send in troops, 50,000 will come back in body bags”? Lies and the lying liars who lie.
My friend Southern Democrat celebrates the activist court overturning the 50-year precedent yesterday, granting Federal Constitutional protections to foreigners captured on the battlefields. I disagree. Taranto had a good analysis yesterday: “‘The Nation will live to regret what the Court had done today,’ Justice Antonin Scalia writes at the end of his dissent in Boumediene v. Bush, the case in which a bare majority of the Supreme Court, for the first time ever, extended rights under the U.S. constitution to enemy combatants who have never set foot on U.S. soil.”

I find it very humorous that every morning when I pass by the Marta station I see 50-100 people standing around the station waiting on buses. And yet they claim that they are operating at a loss?

Well, the WalMart I go to is remodeling. That means they are taking out the cheap stuff and putting in the high priced stuff. Just like Target done a few years ago. Pretty soon I’ll have to go to a dollar store to buy a pair of socks when its time for my monthly bath.
No wonder MARTA is loosing money. Last time I looked they were paying bus drivers $60,000. Just as soon as they got MARTA in a bunch of Those People started using it as a piggy bank. Anyhow, MARTA don’t run up where I live, so as long as I don’t have to pay for it Those People can rob it blind. Let the city weenies pay thru the nose. MARTA stands for Moving Afros Returning to Atlanta. They come out to the suburbs and steal from people then use MARTA to get back home. Anyhow, show me a bus and I’ll show you a traffic jam.
I don’t care how much they fine Those People up in Mass. for not having health insurance. Wooten is right. Let them shop all around for it. They got no money to pay for it anyway, so they may as well look in all the store windows, not just the ones in that yankee state. This is what happens when a state goes against Gods will. If God had of wanted all the people in that state to live they would of been borned with a little policy in their hand. Anyhow, I worked a long time to get the insurance I need and I don’t want nobody else getting the same thing cheap and free.
I see Wooten didn’t write nothing about how the libruls on the Supreme Court ruled against My President and said the towelheads in Gitmo had the right to take their case to a reglar court. That’s what you get when a bunch of libruls are on the court. We can’t go letting these towelheads see the secret evidence against them. If we do that it won’t be secret any more. Anyhow, people that ain’t citizens have no rights. They ought to have a quick trial and then hung. The army knows how to deal with them.
Wooten is dead on when he says all the carpetbaggers moving to Atlanta are running away from the law. They come down here to stir up trouble in the South and ruin our good Southren way of life. I say we round them up and ship them all back North. I bet this Glenn is running from the law.
That guy that pertended to be a Dr. at Piedmont Hospitle reminds me of the time old Joe Bill got listed in his co. phone book as a MD. He had all kind of women calling him and wanting to get nekkid for him so he could tell them why they are sick. It looked like fun for awhile but Joe Bill found all the women that showed up was fat and ugly.
Well, time for my Friday run. I only have about half a load today. What with gas and food prices, people can’t afford as much beer as they use to buy. Its all Clintons fault. Have a good day everybody.

A 4-year-old girl shot herself in the chest Monday after snatching her grandmother’s handgun from the woman’s purse while riding in a shopping cart at a Sam’s Club store, authorities said.
Lewis said the grandmother, Donna Hutto Williamson, has a permit to carry a concealed weapon and the purse containing the small-caliber handgun was in the cart near the child. The 47-year-old Williamson, of Salley, was not immediately charged with a crime.

For some people in this world I don’t think there is such a thing as enough. I wonder how many people would consider 95 years to be enough. My grandmother enjoyed 99 years of life here in Georgia. Her body told her that it was enough one day right in the middle of her rather busy (especially for her age) schedule. Her heart just plain quit pumping and she dropped to the floor. I don’t think she even had a chance to think about whether she’d had enough yet. Some folks though I guess were just meant to go through life wanting more regardless of how much they have. I don’t know if such desires are acquired or if we are born with them already hard-wired into our minds. Now, as for that heat and humidity, I’m certainly willing to share, even with those corporatists — not that I’ve had enough or anything like that though.

How about Scalia’s juvenile depiction of the consequences of his own supreme courts latest decision? (“Lives will be lost, the sky will fall, and wolves will eat children.”)
Who are these detainees? What is their background. How extensive is the sleeper cell network in America? How did Bush know that it was OBL so soon after 911? Did these guys rat him out? His homies sang like canaries only hours after the fact?
Holding detainees indefinitely is certainly not treating 911 as a criminal act requiring a criminal prosecution with the constitutional contraints on that prosecution.
Look, we have the criminal mastermind of 911, (he’s the guy with the perpetual bad hair day. At least give that man a habeus coiffurus).
I thought OBL was the mastermind. What role did OBL actually play in 911? I remember that we proved there was a briefing where OBL was shown the plans. How the heck did we get that info? Is every aspect of 911 classified? Why? We lost the battle of the trade towers. They fell. No big secret. 19 men stepped on a few planes and we organize our own destruction? Like automatons? Who really ordered the invasion of Iraq? We’re finding out that everyone knew about the sunni/shia civil war long before 911. Those right thinking, think tank advisers were screaming bloody murder in a vain attempt to dissuade the invasion of Iraq. Who really wanted those never-ending defense industry contracts to enrich the Saudi owned corporations that are marketing this war?
What is the average profile of the 911 sleeper cells guys? I thought only liberals dont like profiling. We have received no data on the 911 guys. We were told to go shopping.
Freedom: Do you want fries with that?
We have lost the constitutional touchstone that conjoined our triumvirate of patriotism, law, and freedom. We no longer think together as a country should think together. The bonds of our national unity got shredded by BushSpin. Look at the nonsense a child king made us believe. A child shall lead them.
Bush still has time to fulfill at least 100 more doomsday prophesies. Can we get him to say, “crusade”, one more time? (anyone remember that)? It’s a crusade! That’s like the Germans talking about a new holocaust that they simply have to perpetuate or the terrorists win. Yes, Bush is that big of a Hitlerian Contrarian Fairy.

This is neat. The founder of the Weather Channel smashes the Owl Gore and his global warming BS right into the wall. A really good excerpt is the last one:
If Al Gore and his global warming scare dictates the future policy of our governments, the current economic downturn could indeed become a recession, drift into a depression and our modern civilization could fall into an abyss. And it would largely be a direct result of the global warming frenzy.
It’s more than than though. These kooks that believe in this BS hate capitalism, hate success, and hate the very idea that some people have more than others. It’s nothing but good old fashioned liberal socialist dogma mixed in with classic communism, which of course the modern left not only in this nation but around the world, seems to comprise of more and more with every passing year and another government educated idiot that comes out of our public schools.

Charles Krauthammer’s column today says the Iraqi army is doing all kinds of geat things all by itself. Weren’t we told we would “stand down when the Iraqis stood up”? Sounds like it’s time to bring the troops home, if the Iraqi army can keep the country safe on its own. If they can’t do without our presence, then we will be there 100 years. Nobody’s saying we will be in a shooting war for 100 years, Jimmy boy. This isn’t a shooting war. Talk about distorting someone’s position. You’ve distorted the position of 70% of this great country who disagree with you and our beloved leader and Johnny Tergersiverator on what whether we should still be in Iraq.

Dishonest?????
Come on, Jim. The biggest perpetrator of dishonesty in the war in Iraq has been the Bush Administration. It was their dishonesty that convinced Congress to authorize this war.
Oh, and has anyone read Justice Scalia’s response on the decision involving the Gitmo detainees? He begins it by telling us were at war with Islamic terrorists (really, no kidding, huh?). Then he quotes the casualty figures from the bombings in Lebanon, the USS Cole in Yeman, and our embassies in Africa before reminding us of how many people were killed at the World Trade Center, Pentagon and the fields of Western Pennsylvania on 9/11. What he doesn’t tell us is what any of that has to do with the Constitution and habeus corpus.
Those deaths were all tragedies, but that’s why we have rules of law to properly prosecute the offenders.

Morn’in Jim et al,
Senator Vincent Fort is almost better at sniffing out a TV camera than Jesse Jackson.
If I had my way, Fulton and Dekalb would DROP FUNDING for MARTA and let either the state or private enterprise to pick it up. If not—it simply fails.
MARTA is nothing more than another downtown Atlanta government bureaucracy intended to provide government jobs to friends and family for the favored few. Like Grady, crony ism and nepotism only begins to describe what is wrong with MARTA.
Who needs fake credentials for getting a big money job in Atlanta? Check out the over-rated superintendent heading up Clayton County schools! Doesn’t take a genius to see he’s an egomaniac disaster just waiting to happen.
Now Jim, I’ve got to challenge you on Chambliss. I have noticed he is conspicuously absent from many conservative forums since he voted for the dripping fat, pork-laden farm bill to support his fat-cat price support, acreage allotment south Georgia farm buddies. If I were him, I’d lay low waiting for this to blow over. Since there is NO WAY he can call himself a conservative Republican and vote for that pigged-out farm bill at a time of record high food prices.

I still think the guy is a little weasel but he is definitely improving.
And Ronnie the Just must be turning over in his grave.
Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate for president, admits he was wrong in his support for the “War on Drugs” and that it’s now time to call the war off because it’s doing far more harm than good.
“I see no progress in stopping the widespread use of drugs,” Barr concedes. “I’ll even argue that America’s drug problem is larger today than it was when Richard Nixon first coined the phrase, ‘War on Drugs,’ in 1972.”
Barr, a former federal prosecutor and congressman from Georgia, was once one of the federal drug war’s most vocal proponents. In the past, he advocated complete federal prohibition of medical marijuana and, in 1998, successfully blocked implementation of Initiative 59 – the legalization of marijuana for medical treatment.
Barr later reversed his position on medical marijuana and now supports ending marijuana prohibition.
“America’s drug problem is only compounded by the vast amounts of money directed at this ongoing battle,” Barr says, noting that in 2005, more than $12 billion dollars was spent on federal drug enforcement efforts while another $30 billion was spent to imprison non-violent drug offenders.
Barr points to the huge incarceration tab in America, along with just a 30% interception rate of hard drugs, as reasons why the ‘War on Drugs’ has not succeeded.
“While it is clear the ‘War on Drugs’ has been a failure, it is not enough to simply acknowledge that reality,” Barr admits.

The surge must be working because the US will be losing the UN mandate to stay at the end of the year and the Iraqi Government does not want US to stay unless they are promoted to an equal. Unfortunately, the problem with your well-considered insurance plan is that it requires personal responsibility and grants individuals freedom of choice. You should realize that Leftists favor expanded health freedom only when a woman is seeking an abortion. All other Americans need not apply.

Sergei, the surge protector,
Wooten’s health insurance plan: offers market-based solutions for America’s health system by promoting a more competitive health insurance market, expanding Health Savings Accounts and the use of high-deductible health insurance policies.
All of the above lead to a SUSTAINABLE system of health care and expanded choice for Americans. OBAMA does not favor free market solutions for the U.S. healthcare system. His approach would favor a communist-style, universal healthcare plan for the country.
Thanks, but no thanks.

Yep good old Suxtobeus Chambless.
The very poster boy of the abysmal failures of the GOP’s Southern Strategy.
Reactionary faux conservatives peddling lies and faketriotism to the “reformed” bigots of Dixie who swallow it hook, line and sinker like large mouth bass.
Mark my words, though the GOP will get trounced once again all over the country this November, they will still do very well in intellectual backwaters like Georgia, Utah and North Dakota.
They can have those places.
As long as they don’t control either coast and therefore most of the culture, creativity and intellect in this country, they and their neo-conservatism are (finally!) essentially irrelevant…

Just noticed Gallup came out with a new poll on party identification. Although I’m not a Republican I think its totally bogus. Here’s what Gallup found:
37% now claim to be a Democrat.
34% now claim to be an independent.
28% now claim to be a Republican.
This is probably more accurate:
37% are Democrat.
30% are independent.
28% are Republican
4% are too embarrassed to admit they are Republican so they claim to be independent.

We can’t leave Iraq just yet. Their military is still not the tops and we still provide a lot of the back up and support they require to get the job done. If we leave they’ll lose every bit of the progress that has been made there.. and there is progress despite what you read here. This war was a mistake, most of us get that and we can’t begin, as civilians, to fully grasp the incredible failures of the CPA in Iraq, but leaving now only ensures that we send in more troops down the line to try to sort this mess out.
We definitely can’t abandon Afghanistan. That’s one of the places we should actually be fighting. That Afghans deserve some semblance of peace and prosperity without taliban interference.

Hi’ya Jim. It’s been a while since I attended your Free-for-Fun Friday.
Could they just take away the humidity and leave the heat Jim? I swear….ironing out the kinks in my hair, and washing my bandanas after my morning exercise has resulted in a brittle loss of my pool time.
Vincent holding the Fort for more? Reminds me of a comment made by one of Clayton County’s “esteemed” B.O.E. members when she was asked to step down.
“When the voters find me another job, I will.” I kid you not Jim! That’s what the woman said!!!!! With her resume of ineptness on our behalf, is it any wonder she needs help finding a job. Lois waits for Superman to rescue her.
Marta’s in debt? What else is new? Where’s the surplus for that “rainy day” commute? Take a hike!
Now that’s funny Jim. Contract workers were hired to instruct riders how to pay to be taken for a ride by the Metro? Should’a been a breeze. The metro’s been doing it to ‘em for years.
Massachusetts healthcare? Wasn’t that the plan put in place by Mitt? Just goes to show how naive democratic voters can be…implement a plan constructed to help those in need, and all of a sudden, everyone will be. The price goes up; the quality goes down.
Few people will acknowledge it, but Wal-Mart has put forth some innovative ideas in healthcare. Their walk-in clinics and $4.00 prescriptions have been a proven success as well.
Kirk Wright’s conviction just proves that while Aunt Sophie’s Peanut Brittle may have migrated, “the turnips” still fall from the Atlanta’s produce trucks.
Does a Democrat even know what the word “noble” means? Hardly! Aaaahhhhh, but libertarianism? It’s part of a human’s DNA. That’s why I’ve come to realize that liberals are some form of human mutant.
Maybe McCain should start his own Don’t Smear Me Bro’ website. Obumbler did!

Hey Dirtball, they are looking for you in your home village, better run hag: Deadly hunt for ‘witches’ haunts Kenya villagers
KEGOGI VILLAGE, Kenya (CNN) — It may be difficult for modern-day Western cultures to fathom, but in Western Kenya, beliefs in ghosts and witches are very real. And sometimes they have deadly consequences.
In late May, news outlets in Kenya told the story of 15 people, mostly elderly women, who were murdered in a witch hunt near the town of Kisii. The killings shocked the nation.
Villagers said more than 100 people gathered machetes and knives and stormed the village of Kegogi after midnight.
“They started banging on the doors, they broke into the house and then they killed our grandmother inside,” says Justus Bosire. “The mob was screaming and we panicked. We ran away and they came to our house and burned it to the ground.”
When Bosire returned to his grandmother’s house, he found her dead on the floor in a bed of embers. His father is missing.
“They claim that my grandmother and father were practicing witches,” Bosire says. Watch Bosire describe her die »
Belief in witchcraft is strong in this part of Kenya. A few days before the incident, a group of schoolchildren reportedly found a book in their school that listed all the people in the community who would soon die and the witches who would be responsible. iReport.com: Share your stories, videos from Africa
For Bosire and his family, the killings are hard to believe. His grandmother, Peris, was the matriarch of the family. She was 86 but still actively farmed and dispensed invaluable advice to the family.
Up the road from Bosire’s house lives Paul Magoma. “I believe there is witchcraft and the witches kill,” Magoma says while building a chapel. His fellow workers concur: Witches exist and can put spells on people.
Others are skeptical the slain women were witches. At the top of a hill outside Kisii, Joseph Omache practices his craft. Omache is a shaman, or traditional healer. He throws bones and communes with ancestors to help heal physical and spiritual ailments.
“It is very painful when somebody kills another person in the name of witchcraft,” he says. “Why couldn’t they come to me so that I can perform my herbal potion to identify the real witch so that I can go ahead now to trap him and then we can see what to do?”
Omache says that in his 10 years of studies and decades of practicing, he has never come across a witch.
“These are vendettas. It is not that people really bewitched somebody,” he says, adding he believes that witch hunts are really about people expressing hatred and coming up with an excuse to hurt someone.
The area is one of the most populated rural areas in Kenya. Over the years, farming plots have been divided and subdivided. Omache and others say they believe witch hunts are about greed and vendettas in a place where almost everyone struggles to survive.
Whatever the reason, Bosire and his family must live with the consequences. Due to local taboo, they will never live in his grandmother’s house. The doors are boarded, her belongings still lie charred on the floor. The family fears further attacks.
“We are fearing for our lives,” Bosire says. “I knew my grandmother since I was a young child and I have never seen evidence of her being a witch.”

Then there is also Obama’s troubling support for the Kenyan opposition leader — and his cousin — Raila Odinga, the leader of the violent uprising a few months ago against the newly elected Kenyan government and who signed a memorandum of understanding with Kenyan Muslims to turn Kenya into an Islamic state governed by sharia law. At the time, the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya released a statement in which church leaders said Odinga comes across as a presumptive Muslim president bent on forcing Islamic law, religion and culture down the throats of the Kenyan people in total disregard of the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of freedom of worship and equal protection of the law for all Kenyans.
As the Atlas Shrugs site reported, Obama actually went to Kenya in 2006 and spoke at rallies in support of Odinga, causing the Kenyan government to denounce him as “Raila’s stooge”. Why was Obama supporting such a person? Why has no-one bothered to find out?

Could it be?
A little game of “HAG” tag.
You’re it Sweetie.

Dear D D @5:02
I suspected it was PoFo who murdered my mail box. Would you check his red car and see if it has new white stipes on the right front fender? Or some nice jagged plastic pieces imbeded in his right front tire? I will give all facts to TV’s CSI as they always solve every case.

Dear h,5:07
Would you please check and see if George Washington now has white plastic teeth instead of wooden ones? I wouldn’t be a bit surprised.

Hey Bill…….tell me about the 2.7 trillion dollar WAR being “conservative”, and truly necessary!
Tell me about how Bush loves America, when he places homeless victims in Cancer causing FEMA Housing?
Tell me Dusty why you continue to call Americans that don’t AGREE with George BUSH Non American?
I guess you would have been right there supporting Hitler as well, why because he was ruling I guess!
America was founded by all the different ethnic groups across the world…….. WE Americans have a right to our own opinion, and Freedom of Speech…..I know the Republicans are probably against that.
Thus we have George Bush breaking laws, yet still being followed like some two bit God!
Get a clue WRONGS, America has been bilked by Bush and his cronies!

Oh no I dint….Honest, it weren’t moi…..I coulnd’t, I was out of town…..Alright! I admit it! I did it! I did it and I’m glad! And I’d do it again.
Dusty gets too much mail. I’m the one who deserves mail, not her. I should get a hundred pieces of mail a day, no a thousand pieces, ten thousand, until I hoard all the mail. And I woulda got away with it too, if it hadn’t been for Dusty and @@, those snail mail failures!

Dearest 5:27 also called Po’ Pofo..
Now that you have confessed before the whole crowd here (all three of us), CSI is on their way. They said you were a tough toadie twit of long standing twittery.
I’ll send a postcard to you at San Quentin, Guantanamo or Alcatraz. I think the food is better at Guantanamo although the “folks” there will soon be in the USA. Liberals want those nice terrorists to move in with us citizens. Habeus corpus delirium! I think one terrorist driver is already here, running down my mailbox.

When will you “everyday bozos” realize there is only ONE political party in the US?
Two factions of one party with each scratching the other’s back at any opportunity.
The only solution is to vote each and every Member of Congress OUT OF OFFICE. Start over with non-affiliated candidates, limit campaign spending to $1,000 and then vote the winners out in the next election.
Even little Marxists like Peter the Putz and George Wash… could run for office, or even better just run down the middle of I-85 at midnight.

Hey JD it is quite obvious you know all, the proof is your very enlightened spew.
Perhaps one of your children, or family member will get run over soon, as a result of your Karmic Genius.
I am sure your idea of throwing EVERY MEMBER of Congress out of office is Exactly what America needs.
Congratulations we are now on our way to a better America. Thank you !

Peter the Putz
You are welcome.
I would like to see a few Members stay but if losing them is required to rid us of the rest of the crooks then they have to go.
To wish harm on a person’s family because of your personal dislike of them is just another indication of your stunted, Marxist, self-absorbed, ignorant, anti-American, liberal nonsense.
I asked YOU to run down the middle of I-85 because you have nothing of substance to offer. Just liberal pablum designed to bring the demise of the greatest country in the Earth’s history.
Peter, as your hero Barack the Muslim has said, “We live in the greatest country - help me change it”, you espouse dishonesty and follow blindly the biggest internal threat to this country ever. Barack Hussein Obama.
A taxpayer voting for a Democrat is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders. Since you claim to be a taxpayer why not type a few “clucks” for us Peter? Oh my fault, all you do is cluck.

OK JD something of real substance would be nice…….. not just the mindless name calling that corresponds to the gray mass of emptiness working over time.
Yes I am really concerned that my dissatisfaction with Bush and his 2.7 Trillion dollar Lie, will take down the entire country!
By the way where is Bin Laden?
Mr Karmic Genius?

JD, numbnuts, the Republicans have completely run this nation into bankruptcy, financially and morally. And you want more of the same? The day of the Republican is over! You, Dusty and all the other pond scum on here better get accustomed to it. The war of oppression in Iraq will be ended and the liar who started it will be brought to justice!

MARTA would have run a deficit the previous 2 years, but the legislature changed the funding formula from a 50/50 operations/capital split to 55/45. The legislature did not renew it for this year, so deficit was back.
