GOP, especially Richardson, at high risk in the House
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Whether Glenn Richardson’s tenure as speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives is in its final year depends.
It depends on his pursuit of the GREAT tax swap — some property tax relief for a new tax on services in return.
It depends on his handling of the effort to oust the chairman of the Georgia Department of Transportation board, former state Rep. Mike Evans of Cumming.
And it depends on his handling of the effort to override Gov. Sonny Perdue’s vetoes of a dozen bills passed by the General Assembly last year. All dozen were overridden last week with just 12 to 15 dissenters, but Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle declared the Senate “will not be in a real big hurry” to get to the overrides anytime soon.
This is an important session for Republicans. People are beginning to notice how they run Georgia. A repeat of last session’s personality-driven vituperation might set the stage for an election-year disaster. The GOP won’t lose control of the House or Senate, but the result of another exhausting year of bickering does make it more likely that some incumbents will walk away — life’s too short — or that they’ll draw primary challenges.
The GREAT plan is ideal for cultivating potential challengers. For Republican legislators, it’s a loser either way. Vote in favor and the hordes of interest groups and individuals lined up in opposition will find the challengers. Vote against and the opponent will come from those who think their property taxes are too high and that illegal immigrants and others are escaping the fair-share taxation they’d get with an expanded sales tax. Either way, incumbents lose.
It’s not surprising that the speaker lacks the votes to pass it. The effort to oust Evans is another move that has the potential to ricochet. Evans was among those who supported Gena Abraham as the Department of Transportation commissioner last October.
He and Raybon Anderson of Statesboro, who represents the 12th Congressional District on the DOT board and who also supported Abraham, are up for re-election. Each member of the House and Senate who serves any portion of a congressional district has a vote. It’s ordinarily done by secret ballot. In the Evans race, Richardson wants open voting.
Strip away Richardson’s, Perdue’s and Cagle’s personalties — impossible to do, probably — but even without the pettiness and gamesmanship, there are reasonable disagreements about separation of power and about the roles and authority of the House, Senate and executive branch in both the veto-override attempts and in the DOT board contest.
House Transportation Committee Chairman Vance Smith Jr. of Pine Mountain was the other candidate for DOT commissioner.
Seventeen House members and seven senators from the 9th Congressional district (23 Republicans and one Democrat) will decide Evans’ fate. Since the House has the numbers, the DOT board is the one place where the House is supreme — in theory, at least. Abraham was the governor’s choice — thus bringing Georgia to this “Sopranos” storyline moment.
Evans is a solid fiscal conservative who, with a few others on the board, represents precisely the kind of fact-driven, results-oriented policy-makers that conservatives need to plant throughout state government.
The engineer-trained Abraham is too, the mold-breaker who shows great promise of being able to manage an agency in transition.
Turning the ship of state is a long process. Throwing out those with the ability to lead the change makes no sense.
Putting 17 House members on the line is a chance to “win,” but it is likely to be a pyrrhic victory. Besides, Richardson could lose.
The Senate certainly should, on principle, pick some issue and override the governor’s veto. But that really is something Cagle and Richardson should have worked out well before opening day.
The session is high-risk for all Republicans — but especially for Richardson.

The Urinal has the bad news from Iraq:
{{{{Gunmen from the messianic Shiite Soldiers of Heaven cult attacked police and worshippers preparing Friday for the Shiite holiday of Ashoura, prompting fierce clashes in Basra and Nasiriyah that left nearly 50 people dead.-Urinal}}}}
And The Duh Report brings you the good news that should have went with the Urinal story, if the AJC weren’t such practioners of yellow diaper journalism:
{{{{These terrorist groups have opened fire randomly on citizens and Shiite mourners and we are about to eliminate or arrest them,» the governor said. Basra police chief Maj. Gen. Abdul-Jalil Khalaf said those killed included two policemen, five gunmen and two civilians, including a 10-year-old boy and a woman doctor. He also said six police were wounded and 30 militants were detained, including 22 who were wounded. Khalaf said the leader of the group in Basra, whom he identified as Abu Mustafa al-Ansari, was among those who died. Police said 21 members of the group were detained.}}}}
That was easy to find and seems like an important part of the story, don’t it?
Iraqi police, without the assistance of U.S. soldiers on the ground, practically wiped out a group of terrorists that had randomly attacked innocent civilians.
The POS Urinal story accomplishes two of their wormy anti American goals 1) To make the Iraqi police look helpless to stop the terrorists, 2) to arbitrarily add “50 people dead” to their body count, which brings their total up to 700,050, or some ridiculous number like that, I think.
Why do you lie like that, Atlanta Journal Constitution?
~~~~~
Another pointless Urinal anti Iraq story:
{{{{A powerful Shiite politician accused the Iraqi government and legislators of allowing “personal whims” to delay national unity.-Urinal}}}}
Almost like the democrat majority Congress of the United States, isn’t it?
And here I thought the Iraqis didn’t care about national unity?
~~~~~
{{{{Russian President Vladimir Putin moved to redraw Europe’s energy map on Friday, winning Bulgaria’s support for an ambitious gas pipeline that would boost Moscow’s control over supplies to the West.-Urinal}}}}
The west being the Euroweinies, the United States does not get natural gas fron Russia.
Why the play on words, AJC?
And while we are on the subject, both Russia and Chine have forecasted economic growth rates of around 7% this year, which will dwarf the U.S. growth rate of 2%.
How many environmental terrorists do you reckon there are in Russia whining about “caribou” and “an ecological holocaust,” well, I mean, how many haven’t been shot to death or put in a concentration camp yet.
No, the Rooskies don’t cripple themselves with lunacy, like we do, they just go out and drill for what they need, a rather sound, simple policy if you ask me.
Think about that the next time you hear some pinko whining about the economy.
~~~~~
{{{{Between 50 and 60 Islamic insurgents died Friday when they attacked a fort in the Pakistani village of Ladha near the Afghan border with small-arms fire and rockets, a military statement said. Security forces repelled the attack ..A manhunt was under way after two Sunni extremists awaiting execution for a 2004 attack on a procession that killed 42 Shiites escaped from a heavily guarded prison in the southwestern city of Quetta —- adding to growing uncertainty in the country.-Urinal}}}}
Yeah, “growing uncertainty” about how much longer al Qaeda has before they get their as-s totally booted out of Pakinstan.
{{{{CIA: Tribal leader behind Bhutto killing: Extremist has ties to al-Qaida-Urinal}}}}
The “torturers” of the CIA, that eerie shadow group that has the nerve to protect U.S. national security.
Who would ever believe them, why, they are for the United States, right AJC?
And sure enough, here’s the Urinal editorializing in the same “news” story:
{{{{Mehsud has denied involvement in her death.-Urinal}}}}
Always looking out for al Qaeda, eh, AJC?
~~~~~
Ahhhh, let us for a moment fondly, or is it fondling, remember the “good” old days:
{{{{By the time poor old Dick Morris, disgraced presidential pollster and now a sex-addiction treatment survivor, justified Mr Ku Klux Klintoon’s behaviour by suggesting that it was all because of the First Lady’s alleged lesbianism, this seemed one of the less ludicrous Ku Klux defence strategies.}}}}
{{{{On Tuesday, as Miss Lewinsky left Washington, Charlie Trie showed up and was promptly arrested. He’s one of those shadowy Orientals whose illegal campaign contributions put most Americans to sleep. But his presence on the evening news was reassuring: back to the old scandals; business as usual.}}}}

People HAVE noticed: the Republicans are no better AT ALL than the Democrats in controlling spending. In addition, the Republicans are constantly claiming moral superiorilty, which makes their multiple failures even more repugnant. If you are going to claim the moral high road, you’d better be able to walk it. Republicans in this state want the same high spending lifestyle, they just want to change who the money is spent on!

Two Urinals in one:
{{{{ECONOMIC STIMULUS: Bush says fast ‘shot’ can revive economy: $150 billion in tax relief? President, Democrats agree on need for haste, but details may be divisive….The Democrats also are calling for other types of aid, such as temporary increases in food stamps, unemployment benefits and job training programs.-Urinal}}}}
Sounds like a 150 billion dollar tax cut no matter which way you look at it, the only decision being who gets the money, right?
{{{{Bush stimulus plan bombs on Wall Street-Urinal}}}}
My goodness, these politically biased hacks at the Atlanta Journal Constitution are truly basing their opinionated “news” stories on their readership being a bunch of ignorant mouth breathers.
They think you can’t comprehend two different stories in the same “business” section, that you are too stupid figure out on your own that this stimulus package is a bipartisan effort and not just a Bushie initiative.
Their own story shows that Bush and Congress have been working together the whole time, for once.
AJC, do you think the many blacks that live in the Atlanta metro area and read your “news” paper are a bunch of clueless dolts?
Or are you claiming that description for liberals in general?
{{{{There was an education gap, too. College graduates voted for Mr. Obama 39 percent to 34 percent; Mrs. Ku Klux Klinton won among those who had never attended college, 43 percent to 35 percent.}}}}
The less educated you are, the more likely you are to voye for Ku Klux.
Maybe you have a valid point here, AJC.

Excellent insight, catlady, (rowrr), but also notice how much Wooten packs into that sentence. “People are beginning to notice..” He’s saying nobody really paid attention to the assembly before. Why is that? Because try reading a report about the assembly’s business. Journalists make it awkward on purpose so nobody is the wiser.

Mr. Wooten, thanks for the insider view of Statehouse relations, and how far the current leadership, particularly the Speaker, will go to get their own way. Based on last year and the run up to this Session, I fear that the personal dynamic between Messrs. Purdue, Cagle and Richardson will seriously handicap efforts to move forward on State business or long term policy development, much as it began to do in the last Session. My hope is that Governor Purdue will bestir himself to lead rather than reign and that the defeat of the GREAT plan and backlash from his bullying over Mr. Evans’ re-election will make the Speaker see the fault in his tactics. And don’t the Democrats have some more productive role to play than sitting around smirking at the Republican’s folly?

My Senator, Chip Rogers, is one of the prime supporters of the GlennTax. And he will not be dissuaded - “property is sacred!”. I hate property taxes too. But I think when people realize that the Republican alternative is to tax every sale, every service, every day, they will despise Republicans even more.
The solution is not tinkering with the tax code - it’s spending efficiently and transparently.

If Democrats become the “power” in Georgia’s government nothing will ever get done. The Dems will be investigating everything as far back as 1776.
In the US Congress, Waxman(D) starts every day by saying “I am going to demand an investigation into THAT!”. Nancy Pelosi(D) then nods and whispers sweetly and Harry Reid(D) starts whining. Then upright, uptight Kennedy(D) thunders about lost morals and ethics! Lost! Lost!
So Jim is right. Republicans better get busy in Georgia or the whiners and “investigators” will take over here. Fishing will be evil and praying for rain even worse and the sky is falling. That’s the Democratic Way. Let’s hope it melts away like the snow & sleet.

Dear Catlady @ 8:14, good morning, and you have 90% of Jim’s point. The remaining 10%, which Jim left unstated for obvious reasons, is that conservatives do control spending, and these Republicans are not conservatives.
Dear Luckoduh @ 8:39, you similarly report the substantial truth, if I may add a couple of points. The great pall hanging over the market is the democrat-promised end of the Bush tax cuts, which were so beneficial for capital formation. The end of tax cuts will effectively impose the largest tax increase in the history of the world, and the market wisely anticipates the likely effect throughout the economy. The market’s fear is accurately reflected in the first Bush+Congress proposal, is that the good “capital formation” tax cuts will be replaced by inflationary- and needless- consumer spending stimulus tax cuts. Moderates and leftists are not smart enough to understand it; conservatives innately do.

jbmlaw: This is the Wall Street Journal’s exact take on that very same subject:
{{{{One problem with the increasingly “temporary” nature of the Bush tax cuts is that they are beginning to introduce new political risk into economic decisions. Though they expire in 2010, everyone understands that a new President and Congress could act to raise taxes as soon as next year. Mr. Bernanke could have educated the public about this business expectations problem, but then Democrats would have been upset.}}}}
Add to that very real factor to the lib media’s constant whining and negativity about the economy, and we could have an “artificial” recession on our hands.
Nothing would make the democrats happier, being the power hungry lushes that they are.
It’s the old Vietnam analogy, born again in pinkoville, we had to destroy the village in order to save it, hahaha.
And it doesn’t take very much to realize how silly the lib whining really is.
Take for instance the occasional poster to this blog, N-GA. He has supposedly, according to him, achieved the American dream, retired at 50 with millions of dollars in the bank, a house nestled in the beautiful, sleepy North Georgia Mountains, surrounded by a postcard setting of forest and stream.
And all he does is whine.
Think back to 30 or 40 years ago, the same house would not have had natural gas and would have been lucky to have electricity or indoor plumbing.
N-GA’s dad was probably too busy chopping down the neighboring forest for firewood to whine about his circumstances.
These liberals nowadays are a bunch of spoiled, unabashed whiners on a never ending crying jag because their health care costs “too much.”
And they are on a guilt tripping crusade against the very industry and technologies that brought them such a fat life of luxury.
It’s bizarre to say the least.
I have no sympathy for them, they should really try manning up, make an attempt at unas-sing that overstuffed leather lounger that they lie in, if they think things are so bad.
Like our forefathers did.
Come on, Fred.

Well, I’m all bamboozled about how the godly Republicans are fighting each other. I thought that was what the librul Democrats done. The House wants to overturn a whole bunch of old Sonnys vetos and the Senate won’t take up the overturns and the godly Rep. Richardson wants to get rid of property taxes and some people don’t like it and so nothing is getting done.
Anyhow, I’m just going to go by what jbmlaw says. If he says get rid of property taxes and put sales tax on everything, a poor person like me for sure is going to get the shaft. And if he says not keeping the tax cuts will be the biggest tax increase in the world, then I know the tax cuts were the biggest tax cuts in the world for people like him and not for me.
Anyhow, looks like Sister Dusty woke up with another hangover. She’s mad at everybody. The woman just can’t hold her booze.

I especially like it when Richardson throws a temper tantrum, and Cagle sends a mouthpiece out in public to try and egg him on. Dusty,
No big deal on the Waxman thing. A long time ago I was an officer of the legislature of which he was a member before he bailed to DC to lick his wounds. He made an enormously bold and complicated play for the Speakership, only to be blocked long enough for my boss, a dark horse, to run up the middle and take that office for 15 years. It was a David v. Goliath thing, only with a lot more than slingshots. People are still talking about the last minute-and-a-half of that Fourth Quarter. At one point in the Great Speaker Fight, Waxman was caught off guard because he was busy with morning prayers (he’s a devout Orthodox Jew).
The man’s a scoundrel, obviously, but an extraordinarily able one, and it took the best minds in California to stop him from running that state. He’d make a good replacement for Pelosi. Speaking of which, I was wrong in predicting that she’d be ousted by her own Caucus by now.

Other than wondering how Dusty got through a college and two years of post-graduate work with a gnat’s brain, I find nothing stimulating about today’s discussion.
So how is Richardson in any trouble? He has about four million redneck voters who will go for anything with an R after its name. Ditto for Sonny and Casey. All of them subscribe to the same mindless creed: cut taxes for the wealthy and shift them to the poorer people. Minimize distributions to the people who are likely to be Democrats or the spawn of Democrats. Fund stupid endeavors like the Go Fish program, while balking at full funding of PeachCare. And if all else fails, then pray for what is needed, rather than planning for it.

Oh. Well, maybe this’ll liven the converse. It’s still sinking in what a real mensch W. is to propose tax cuts as the substance of his stimulus package. If Richardson and his leadership had that kind of courage of that kind of conviction, they’d not touch the tax structure until they’d first trimmed the fat, then shaved the bone, and then figured out how to put more flesh onto government services with the resultant skeleton.
But instead they are too dumb even to know how valid their own rhetoric is. And Richardson’s too dumb not to lord his office over his own leadership and chairs. And they’re too unimaginative to come up with ways to do more with less, and too cowardly to try.
All in all, a legislative worthy of a Banana Republic. Real Pikers.

A true Christian conservative simply would not be able to behave as Richardson, Cagle, Perdue, etc. Therefore, one may deduce that they could be well disguised Democrats or Republicans of the Dollar Denomination.

He’s wrong to think that we preen ourselves for being smarter than liberals, though. We’re smarter than most conservatives, too. Witness Speaker Richardson, who consistently demonstrates his ignorance of the meaning of even the most (necessarily) basic words he uses to describe himself and his aims.

Suckie Face Waxman, California Democrat, called Richard Viguerie, the direct-mail pioneer and conservative stalwart, to testify this week before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The subject was and is fair game if the allegations are true: claims of excessive administrative costs and inflated salaries at the San Diego-based charity Help Hospitalized Veterans, with which Mr. Viguerie is a direct-mail partner. But if the point of such a hearing was to show the truth of these accusations — and to judge by their harsh words, committee members surely seemed to believe them — it failed.}}}}

A retraction. You’re right. It was AmVet, not PoFo as I’d thought. Not nuanced enough. Oh well. Blew it again…
I like your Magic Fingers allusion, and not just because it appeals to the fantasist within. When I worked for a legislature, with the exception of a few penurious fiscal conservatives the members answered to your description exactly. They preferred no analysis, less they be scared by facts into feeling guilty about the frequent counterproductivity and sheer stupid waste of their constant programmatic showboating at taxpayer expense. The two parties were dissimilar only in the content of their brainless and profligate showboating.
They behaved this way through wrenching recessions, a couple of world-class industrial collapses (military industrial & .com), a $30 billion energy crisis, a $40 billion backlog in unmet classroom need, 9/11, at least two FBI dragnets, the Unabomber, and myriad natural disasters. They simply know no other way.
And that’s why it’s not hyperbolic to point out that Glenn Richardson is an idiot.

I’m a cynic only when it comes to government and liberals. Those too eager to invest in government beg for inefficiency while claiming that their personal assets are such already.
The government’s stop-gap (play on words there) solutions serve noone but the political powers that be—I realize that. I have to make a choice though. The party that wants to waste less of my money is the party I’ll go with until something better comes along.
An individual’s drive to accomplish puts him or her on the road to success in spite of what jalopy the government tries to sell us.

jbmlaw: Actually, I think an important part of what Mr. Wooten says is that “people are beginning to notice”. Pretty sad, huh? Sort of High Time, don’t you think? Nobody can say we are slow to catch on here in Georgia! It has been (how many?) years that the Republicans have been in power and are continuing down the path set forth by those “villainous” Democrats? In fact, the path is deeper and wider (and more filled with excrement) than ever before! So much for being saved by the “enlightened ones”!
On the national level, how much more honeymoon do the Democrats get? Peloisi et al were going to fix things that the Republicans had made a mess of, but so far I don’t see much happening there, either! Moo! Follow the bell-cow.
We say we are noticing it (except for the “my party at any cost”—literally—zombies who don’t care about anything except whether it is a D or an R) but I don’t see that ANYONE in power is paying attention and taking it seriously. Why worry? The taxpayers will pick up the tab for whatever it is. I like the Far Side comic that has a group of sheep milling around and one stands up and says, “Hey! We don’t have to be just SHEEP”!
When will people of intelligence and reason THINK? I guess now that folks are NOTICING it, maybe the next step will be THINKING and DOING…. Nah. Whether you are a D or an R, it is back to business as usual. Just direct those payments to another mailbox.

Anything that Chip Rogers endorses is suspect. He’s another guy with GREAT plans for himself. Last year that guy demagogued the illegal immigration issue in order to pass “tough” laws through the Georgia legislature with no consideration given to whether they were necessary. He didn’t even think far enough ahead to put some form of measurement into the legislation to see if what he did is effective. A year after Georgia “got tough” on illegal aliens all they have to show for it is one more public assistance application denied in 2007 than in 2006.

@Dusty,
Dubya held conferences in the Mideast to proclaim the Iranian Navy in their two-man speedboats were “harassing” our frigates and destroyers; the propaganda was laid out further to say that he was for a two-state solution in the Israeli/Palestenian conflict, yet, proposed nothing to begin the process but said “I am for a two state solution.” Did you notice the Israelis sealed off the Gaza strip, not allowing food, water and other human essentials into the world’s largest prison of 1.5 million people. Yes, you can use whatever logic you choose to justify what these criminals are doing; you can go back to the Clinton administration and say “they did not release any documentation” , in direct contravention of what Kenneth Starr said; you can continue to have this psycho-babble about Dubya and your loyalty to this criminal regime all you want; you still do not have facts to bolster your argument. To give you an idea of what world leaders think of Dubya, Canada has told its diplomats to be aware of the torture being used by the USA against people and has registered a diplomatic protest against this country for its refusal to give documentation about the detention, rendention and torture of a Canadian citizen in a Syrian prison for more than a year, without charges. It turns out the USA had the wrong name, therefore, the wrong person, yet they refuse to admit they made a mistake. Enough of the discussion when this man is literally hated by the rest of the world, except of course Israel. What do you offer as rebuttal to this “allegations?” Please do not offer further sophomoric proselytizing.

Blind hatred has caused you to lose your reason.
Did you think the speedboat running to the Cole was only provocative or did the deaths of many American sailors not bother you? The only difference in that story and the Iranian incident is….the Iranians decided to turn around and run. Do you want to wait until our ships are blown to bits and then decide what others have in mind?
You refer to the Gaza strip which the Israelis gave to Palestine. Now the Palestinians are shooting rockets at Israel’s towns every day from GAZA. What is your suggestion for putting a stop to that? Blockades or bombings or let such action continue? Or run like a good liberal?
Canada can have terrorists in their country just like we can. I don’t turn against my country because one mistake is made, if it was a mistake and if it was torture. For your education:
Proponents of same-sex marriage often use the term “equal marriage” to stress that they seek equality as opposed to special rights;[2] the term “equal marriage” has also been used by feminists to describe any marriage, regardless of the sex of the partners, in which the partners have equal status within the marriage.[3] Opponents argue that equating same-sex and opposite-sex marriage changes the meaning of marriage and its traditions.[4] Some opponents use the term “homosexual marriage”, and surveys have suggested that the word “homosexual” is more stigmatizing than the word “gay”.[5] Some publications that oppose same-sex marriage put the word marriage in scare quotes when referring to it. Notable publications that practice this are The Washington Times and LifeSite. Cliff Kincaid, a writer for the American conservative-based media watchdog group Accuracy in Media, agrees with this method arguing that “marriage” is a word that same-sex couples merely want to apply to themselves, but have no legal ability to do so in most states.[6] Same-sex marriage supporters argue that it is editorializing and implying inferiority, and point out that the quotes are even used when referring to same-sex marriages in locations where it is legal.

Let’s define who I am:
Homosexuality can refer to both attraction or sexual behavior between organisms of the same sex, or to a sexual orientation. When describing the latter, it refers to enduring sexual and romantic attraction towards those of the same sex, but not necessarily to sexual behavior.[1] Homosexuality is contrasted with heterosexuality (attraction, behavior, or orientation between opposite sexes), bisexuality (both sexes), and asexuality (neither sex).
Etymologically, the word homosexual is a Greek and Latin hybrid with homos (often confused with the later Latin meaning of “man”, as in homo sapiens) deriving from the Greek word for same, thus connoting sexual acts and affections between members of the same sex, including lesbianism.[2][3] In the English-speaking world, the term gay had been used within the subculture for decades before becoming popularized by the gay rights movement in the 1970s.[citation needed] In a narrow sense, gay refers to male homosexuality, but it often is used in its broadest sense, especially in media headlines and reports, to refer to homosexuality in general. Lesbian, however, always denotes female homosexuality.
Homosexual behavior occurs among numerous animals other than humans, particularly among social animals.
Geez.

Many people who feel attracted to members of their own sex have a so-called “coming out” at some point in their lives. Generally, coming out is described in three phases. The first phase is the phase of “knowing oneself,” and the realization or decision emerges that one is open to same-sex relations. This is often described as an internal coming out. The second phase involves one’s decision to come out to others, e.g. family, friends, and/or colleagues. This occurs with many people as early as age 11, but others do not clarify their sexual orientation until age 40 or older. The third phase more generally involves living openly as an LGBT person.[57] In the United States today, people often come out during high school or college age. At this age, they may not trust or ask for help from others, especially when their orientation is not accepted in society. Sometimes their own parents are not even informed.
Outing is the practice of publicly revealing the sexual orientation of a closeted person.[58] Notable politicians, celebrities, military service people, and clergy members have been outed, with motives ranging from malice to political or moral beliefs. Many commentators oppose the practice altogether,[59] while some encourage outing public figures who use their positions of influence to harm other gay people.
My life.
Take that ganker.

Hi Glenn,
Well, even though Romney proved today that he could be elected in a landslide to become President of the United States of Utavada, the big story today has to be how well Nevada went for Rudy. He really gave Duncan Hunter a thrashing, and he didn’t even try. Just imagine how well he will do if he ever actually contests a primary or caucus.
Feel the Rudymentum!!!

Please send me the photo op of Bush destroying or even mentioning hard discs while in the Middle East. I’d like to see that.
Your liberal imagination loves to run wild over the President of the USA. Did you know he has something more to do than disprove all the conspiracies liberals cook up almost every day?
Go talk to Waxman. He will put your “conspiracy” on tomorrow’s list of investigations which are about as important as his grocery list.

And I too am sorry to see Lazy Fred go. I liked his wife’s fine assets, the Thompson Twins.

Poor Getalife. PoliFore seems to have a different method for taking out his frustrations on you.
You? he seems to LOVE.
Me? he despises. I think it’s because I’m a woman and
YOU ARE A MAN.
I hate it for you…really I do.
I’d run interference for you PoliFore seems very focused on the end-game.

Decisions, decisions.

I know, it’s nice to see you libs admitting that the only women you can sport are a bunch of fat, baggy, screeching old hags.
Men loving freaks.
~~~~~
And here comes Queen Pinko, backing up everything I said about democrats being nothing but a bunch of lying, race hating bigots:
{{{{Take the current Democratic primary. Greenwald and colleagues modified the Implicit Association Test to search for unconscious biases among Democratic voters. When asked who they planned to cast ballots for, a sample of voters reported strong support for Obama, who held a 42 percent to 34 percent lead over Hillary Clinton among the sample, with John Edwards coming in at 12. But when the same people took the Implicit Association Test, measuring their unconscious preferences, Clinton was “the runaway winner,” favored by 48 percent of them, and Obama was dead last, with 25 percent. Edwards was favored by 27 percent, according to the researchers.-Cynthia Tucker, Urinal}}}}
{{{{That’s not a condemnation, not a presumption of malicious bigotry. It’s just an acknowledgment of the peculiar burdens of humanity, especially in these United States. Assumptions about race and ethnicity are so deeply embedded in our culture that we can hardly help noticing skin color.-Urinal}}}}
Oh, please.
What we have here is God hating heathen judging the whole entire United States based upon her inner bigotry.
Speak for yourself, Cynthia, or are you?
Maybe if you degenerate liberals didn’t view other women as a slab of meat put solely on this Earth for your selfish pleasure, maybe if you libs didn’t use race baiting as a substitute for honest effort, maybe if you libs didn’t run a “news” paper that employs hate speech against the opinions of the people you disagree with, maybe if you didn’t protect every scumbag that does bring discredit to their race, maybe then you could get past your bigotry, get past the stereotypes and “politically correct” language that you created,” and you could start seeing the human being that lives in every one of us, regardless of our outward appearance.
I can’t believe she said that, these libs have instituted freaking rules and policies on how to “act” around other human beings, rules that reinforce the very bigotry that she whines about today.
Heal thyself, “physician.”
~~~~~~
Speaking of hate language:
{{{{Americans love to boil over big oil- Today bookshop shelves are crammed with tomes denouncing the Bush oil dynasty, or predicting that America’s dependence on oil will bring environmental Armageddon.}}}} Big oil, an industry that makes 8% profits versus Hollywood and Lawyers and all the libs making 35%, an industry that is overwhelmed with liberal democrat regulations the costs of which get passed along to the consumer, an industry that has it’s products saddled with a 48 cent per gallon federal tax, an industry that is forced by the federal government to blend corn into it’s product in turn raising food prices, an industry that is being blamed for a fake scare mongering junk science because they provide a product to people like the Atlanta Journal Constitution and al-Gore using massive amounts of energy to print and deliver this very “news” paper that they are using to whine about “big oil.”
You are sick in the head, AJC.
How many trees get chopped down every day to print this paper, Urinal? How many millions of gallons of gasoline do you figure gets burnt up to haul those trees, to run those massive printing presses, to deliver this crying rag, do your reporters walk around the country? Do you work and live in a pop up tent and burn animal dung to stay warm? Grow your own food, do ya?
Stupid, simple, ignorant, guilt tripping, mouth breathing, busy bodies STFU, and lead by example you sick little freaks.
Sick, filthy little immature wretches “protesting” against the very industry and technologies that have advance their comfortable, fat little lives to the point of idleness, giving them time to whine about the whole freaking world.
They have absolutely no clue about what a short, brutal life people lived before big oil made everything so easy and convenient.
POS. (-;
~~~~~
And congratulations to John McCain, who has finally, after all these years, done something good for the Republican party.
Got rid of Hickabee for us.
To this we owe you ..something.
~~~~~
And what does it say of South Carolina, having an ex senator like Misses Edwards and voting 30% for freaking Hickabee, is it no surprise that they spawned someone like finchie?
~~~~~
Geez, the Washington Post must not have gotten the democrat memo on Iraq:
{{{{The legislation is one of half a dozen key political “benchmarks” we have expected Iraqi leaders to address. Others are hydrocarbon legislation; a provincial powers act; a law to facilitate the next round of local elections; a process for holding a referendum on the political future of Kirkuk, the disputed northern oil city; and a better process for purging sectarian extremists from positions of government authority. Apart from de-Baathification reform, major steps have been taken only on the last of these. But there has been real progress on other important matters, including Baghdad’s sharing of oil revenue with the provinces, even without a hydrocarbon law; the hiring of Sunni volunteers into the security forces and the civilian arms of government; and improvements in the legal system, such as more trained judges and fewer indefinite detentions of prisoners. Iraq’s political glass remains more empty than full, but trends are clearly in the right direction.}}}}
{{{{Some in Washington are already calling for a commitment to additional reductions, resulting in force levels below pre-surge levels, even before we have finished the current drawdown. Such calls are unwise. America has made this mistake in Iraq before. It is inappropriate to try to evaluate the possibility of reductions beyond pre-surge levels before we have had time to examine the situation after the completion of that drawdown.}}}}
{{{{The strain on the U.S. military is great. But sustaining 15 brigades in Iraq for six to 12 more months will not break the military. Reducing forces in Iraq too rapidly, however, even by one or two brigades, might seriously jeopardize the tenuous success we are seeing. We should not take that risk.}}}}
It’s getting kinda hard to sweep under the rug, ain’t it?
~~~~~
Look at the Urinal and DOT try to forecast the weather just a few hours into the future, and yes, they got it wrong:
{{{{The beauty of a snowstorm on the city’s day off took on the menacing threat of treacherous roads and black ice. Black ice was expected to become a greater concern as temperatures fell, DOT spokesman Paul Marshall said.}}}}
Uh, no ice.
These^^ are the same people that tell us the debate over “man made global warming” is settled.

Moron Jim says: This is an important session for Republicans. People are beginning to notice how they run Georgia.
For once, Moron Jim speaks the truth. The Rethuglicons have run the state into the ground. They have passed laws that are anti-family, anti-consumer, and anti-society. They now allow people to carry guns into city and county parks overriding local laws. Now they want to extend that to state parks, sports stadiums, and even churches. They want to run all ‘illegal immigrants’ out of the state despite they have children that are legal US citizens breaking up families. They passed draconian sex offender laws that entrap teenagers for consensual behavior and punish them with outrageous prison sentences. They want to run all the sex offenders out too despite that many were caught by these draconian sex offender laws. They changed to allocation formula so as to funnel even more gas tax money from metro Atlanta to the rest of Georgia. So while Vidalia gets a multi-million dollar bypass to alleviate ‘rush hour’ delays in the downtown area, metro Atlanta chokes in more smog, wastes more gas, and takes longer to get home. The Rethuglicons conned people into voting for them with the promise of better living through lower taxes and less government. Rethuglicon control of the state has cost you more money than any tax cut, increased government, and made your lives harder.
When you vote Rethuglicon, you vote against your own best interests. And Georgia is living proof.

Re:

I drive a Camry, I made a conscious decision to safe a lot of money, and traded off some of the safety factor. Just like your criminal Bush administration decided to do when they initially decided not to armor the vehicles used by our forces in Iraq.
The difference is, my decision affected MY LIFE, not that of other peoples children.

Ask yourself: would you vote for MLK on Super Tuesday?
Just as we had to be told how to act by MLK in the 60’s, we must now unchain our destiny and let justice guide our vote.
We’re like little children who didn’t know any better till MLK spoke to us. You see, our better angels weren’t enough. Now we must rely on our best angels, and discard the ones who compromised our past.
Better isn’t best.
