For security’s sake, America won’t betray Iraq

Hop aboard. The John McCain campaign bus rolling through Iowa expresses what should be the sentiment of this entire nation: “No Surrender.”

As President Bush made clear in a 17-minute address to the nation Thursday night, surrender may be an option for the next President — but it won’t be for this one.

History — assuming it is written by free men and women not intimidated into silence by the fear of attracting the terrorists’ notice — will be exceedingly kind to this president. With pressure on all sides to abandon to their fate friends who have put their lives in our hands, on our promise, the president declined. Declined emphatically.

Speaking directly to the people of Iraq, Bush promised “that America does not abandon our friends, and we will not abandon you.” It’s a promise we should honor.

How long should the United States remain in Iraq? Until al-Qaida and the Jihadist know they’re defeated. Until it’s clear to the entire world that America’s word is its bond. Until terrorists the world over are never again tempted to fly planes into landmark buildings or to plot the mass murder of American citizens. That clearly won’t happen by next March, May or July. It won’t happen by next November’s presidential election. And it likely won’t happen on the watch of the next president.

That’s not to say, however, that retreat won’t occur on the next president’s watch. The failure of the field of Democrats to confront its loony left over the despicable ad in The New York Times, identifying Gen. David Petraeus as “General Betray Us,” and their insistence on finding a quick, face-saving reason to diddy-bop to the exit door, oblivious to consequences, renders the whole lot suspect on national security.

If you believe, as I do, that for the foreseeable future — a decade, maybe two, maybe more, depending on whether we succeed or fail in Iraq — the world is inherently less safe and that evil people will kill us en masse, as they did on that infamous Sept. 11, you can’t have confidence in leaders antsy to run. And the Democrats are, damn the consequences.

Describe it in any terms you like, but this is a party under the control of the ’60s generation of leftists. General Betray Us. The betrayal, if we follow the advice of the Democratic field, won’t be just of the American patriots putting their lives on the line, as Gen. Petraeus is doing, but of every friend of America, especially those in Iraq, who walk through minefields based on our promises.

This is about us, a moment that reveals our character, a moment when, as Bush said Thursday night, “our moral and strategic imperatives are one.” This is not a mission driven by adventurism or revenge or the imposition an alien idea — democracy — on inhospitable soil. It’s about us. Our freedom. Our security. Our ability to go to work in tall buildings or to gather in large crowds or to board airplanes without weighing, however fleetingly, the odds that madmen will choose this day to make a statement with our deaths.

The president got it right: “If we were driven out of Iraq, extremists of all strains would be emboldened. Al-Qaida could gain new recruits and new sanctuaries. Iran would benefit from the chaos and would be encouraged in its efforts to gain nuclear weapons and dominate the region. Extremists could control a key part of the global energy supply. Iraq could face a humanitarian nightmare. Democracy movements would be violently reversed. We would leave our children to face a more dangerous world.”

While testifying before Congress last week, Petraeus drew flak for declining to speculate on whether the war in Iraq has made America safer. “Sir,” he replied, “I don’t know, actually.” Despite the criticism, it was precisely the right answer. Bush, not Petraeus, is the appropriate leader to address that question — as he emphatically did Thursday.

When Bush appears to be reeling, under siege from public opinion polls, unified Democrats and defections among Republican allies, he has the remarkable leadership ability to plant his feet, define his principled ground, and stand fast. Never betray people who believe in you. Bush won’t.

History, indeed, will be kind to this wartime leader.

The buck stops with w and cheney. Period.

Since our Congress will not hold them accountable, they will ally with Iran and call for International court proceedings to hold them accountable.

“Sadr’s movement pulls out of Iraq alliance By Dominic Evans and Waleed Ibrahim 17 minutes ago:

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The political movement loyal to anti-American cleric Moqtada al-Sadr quit Iraq’s ruling Shi’ite Alliance on Saturday, leaving Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s coalition in a precarious position in parliament.

The move further weakens the ruling coalition, which even before the defection had failed to push through laws aimed at reconciling Iraq’s warring majority Shi’ite and minority Sunni Arabs.

Maliki’s government now enjoys the support of only about half of Iraq’s 275 lawmakers, although it could survive with the support of a handful of independent lawmakers.

“The political committee has declared the withdrawal of the Sadr bloc from the (Shi’ite) alliance because there was no visible indication that the demands of Sadr’s bloc were being met,” the Sadr movement said in a statement released at a news conference in the holy Shi’ite city of Najaf.

An adviser to Maliki said the government had no immediate comment.

The decision by Sadr’s movement to quit the Shi’ite Alliance in parliament was not unexpected after the cleric pulled his six ministers from the cabinet in April.

Maliki can still count on the backing of two other Shi’ite Islamist parties and the two main Kurdish parties in parliament, and so far no party has launched any push for a no-confidence vote in his government.

Sadr was instrumental in getting Maliki, a fellow Shi’ite, appointed prime minister in May last year.

His political bloc has raised a host of grievances in the past, including Maliki’s refusal to set a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq.

Sadr, a fiery nationalist whose stronghold in the capital is Baghdad’s sprawling Sadr City, led his Mehdi Army militia in two uprisings against U.S. forces in 2004.

MALIKI UNDER FIRE

Maliki’s government has been paralyzed by infighting. Besides the withdrawal of ministers loyal to Sadr, six cabinet members from the main Sunni Arab bloc have also quit.

Speaking in parliament on Monday, Maliki acknowledged that the term “national unity government,” used to describe his cabinet had lost its meaning.

Hinting at a long promised overhaul of his cabinet, he said it was time for a “partnership government,” but gave no details.

The next day Sadr’s movement said it was considering withdrawing from the alliance, accusing it of failing to provide security and said political progress had been inadequate.

Criticism of Maliki’s government also came from Washington.

President George W. Bush, speaking on Thursday, said it had made limited political progress despite the breathing space offered by a “surge” of U.S. troops and better security.

In a report ordered by Congress, the White House said on Friday that Iraq’s leaders had made satisfactory progress on just nine out of 18 political and security benchmarks.

The political benchmarks, which include a crucial revenue-sharing oil law, are designed to build on the improved security and promote national reconciliation.

Iraqi lawmakers were not impressed.

“The Americans always try to pretend the responsibility for cleaning up this mess isn’t theirs and tend to shift blame onto Iraq, Iran and Syria for everything that goes wrong,” said veteran Kurdish lawmaker Mahmoud Othman.

Bush, announcing plans for a limited withdrawal of around 20,000 U.S. troops by July, said on Thursday U.S. forces had helped ensure “ordinary life is beginning to return” to Baghdad.

On Saturday evening a suicide car bomber killed 10 people and wounded 15 others in southwest Baghdad. Many were queuing outside a bakery to buy bread for the evening Ramadan meal which breaks the day-long fast during the Muslim holy month.

The bombing came on the same day that an al Qaeda led group, the Islamic State in Iraq, announced a new phase of attacks to mark the month of Ramadan, which started this week.”

There is the reality compared to Jim’s opinion.

I doubt history will be kind to w.

No Surrender? But we invaded them. How can our policy be “no surrender” when we’re the aggressor.?

I thought only the “invadee” could surrender. The “invader” can just leave. That’s hardly “surrender” in terms of any geo-political demands of the “invadee”.

Surrender is not an option, not because of any marine corp battle ethic, but because who would we surrender to? You havent’ even defined the term “surrender”.

Circular logic has taken the careers of better writers than Jim.

But lets forgive that error, and focus on Jim’s estimate about how long we stay in Iraq. (Thanx 4 the laughs, Jim, desperately needed here): Until anything that happened on 911 becomes impossible and anyone who perpetrated 911 and their ilk, (check out their milfs, no dont), is convinced they cant win.

That’s not as eloquent as “we aint nevah gonna git outta Iraq”, but it translates the same way, proving my point again.

Rumsfeld refused to attack Osama Bin Laden after W ordered him to attack in 2002. Rumsfeld refused repeated orders to attack until the CIA was taken off the project and the pentagon was put in charge. That’s treason. Rumsfeld was Cheney’s general, and Cheney was our defacto commander in chief during that period of time when Rumsfeld refused to send troops to capture Osama Bin Laden and destroy Al Queda.

That’s surrender. Cheney and Rumsfeld surrendered our constitution.

There’s only one president, not two. W split his presidency in two.

“Some Republicans open to Democratic plan to keep soldiers stateside longer:

The proposal, by Senator Jim Webb, Democrat of Virginia, has strong support from top Democrats, who say that the practical effect would be to add time between deployments and force General Petraeus to withdraw troops on a substantially swifter timeline than the one he laid out.”

Wussy Wooten strikes again - I now have renewed disgust for the man.

” How long should the United States remain in Iraq? Until al-Qaida and the Jihadist know they’re defeated…”

First of all, I don’t even know what all the fuss is over…isn’t our “Mission Accomplished” already? Hmmm…seeems like I heard it was… The likes of Wussy Wooten seems to just need a cause to inflame the dead embers of their hearts. Should we bust his bubble and let him in on the fact that they’re just swatting at yellow flies on a hot florida day? Let me put it simple like so as he can unnerstand…THERE IS NO MILITARY SOLUTION TO IRAQ!! NEVER WAS, NEVER WILL BE. And sigh…I get so tired of saying this over and over…9/11 attack = Iraq…NOT!

“the world is inherently less safe and that evil people will kill us en masse, as they did on that infamous Sept. 11, you can’t have confidence in leaders antsy to run.”

fear..fear..ffeear..FEAR!! And you call us cowards? Courage is not always about fighting…its also about knowing when not to fight.

The likes of Wooten both bring forth a little vomit in my throat, and scares the dickens out of me. Sure, go ahead…throw me out of the country…at least I won’t suffer the same fate as you and yours…in whatever hell you believe in.

THE Captain offers his hale and hearty support for Mr Wooten’s clear-eyed, stiff-spined, and ever-so-serious call for Permanent War. It is clearly the Right Thing to do.

Permanent War will put those swarthy Islamecofascists on notice that we will continue to hunt them down and imprison, torture and kill them whether they are combatants or not. Sure, Permanent War may require that we turn Iraq into a virtual police state, complete with Abu Graib style rape rooms, but that is a small price to pay (pace Rep Boehner) for our continued freedom to Warblog in support of Our Leader and his noble Court.

And just think of the boon to the economy. Our Nation’s manufacturing sector, particularly those Patriots who forego significant profit to instead toil in the ghetto of Military-Industrial Complexity, will reap handsome profits that will trickle down to the masses.

Another boon market…research and manufacture of increasingly sophisticated prostheses for our Brave Fighting Men and Not-Men.

And with the winnowing of our 18-45 year old population, our unemployment and overpopulation problems may also be diminished. Granted, we may need to find creative ways to deal with the orphan problem, but workhouses have always been a solid True Right concept.

Plus, once we start drafting lots of Those People, our problem with inner city hippityhoppity thuggery and dog fighting will drop like a Shiite from an open helicopter over the dessert (not that that could happen in this war, which we are fighting humanely and with Christian Compassion, but it is a clear example, yes?).

Mr Wooten has truly hit upon a Common Sense Win-Win scenario, and THE Captain is ready to volunteer for duty as a Fighting Warrior in the Wooten 101st Keyboardist Division, standing proudly alongside Dusty, Jeff, RCH, jbm, and brave Time for More Meth. Because we are sorely needed to fight the war at home.Elstwise, when we get home from victory over there, we’ll come home to find that the Dirty Foooking Hippies have taken over, with their sexual liberality and foul language, sagging-and-braless brests, and unshaved armpits. Then there are the women. But THE Captain digresses.

War, Glorious War. How it thrills me to know that our Brave Fighting Men and Not-Men are over there fighting and killing and dying. How my heart flutters when I see photos of dead Islamoterrorists, whatever their age. How my heart sings when I see photographs of Our Troops winning hearts and minds through sodomy, torture, and frisky play with puppy dogs and terrified ragheads. My Common Sense heart only wishes there could be more of it, regardless of the ill-defined and ever-shifting rationale Our Leader and His Cheney offer for their actions. It makes no difference…if Our Bush says it is good, I believe it. Period. End of discussion.

Onward to Iran, True Believers. It is the Right Thing to do.

I’m flattered that you all only took six months to come around to my, “We aint nevah gonna git outta iraq”.

I was two years ahead of the curve, but now it’s only six month. But 6 months is the new two years the way change is accelerating in Iraq.

So where are we now? They way the Petraeus Report was set up in the spring formed last weeks drama about whre we are now. Nothing new, really.

So where are we now? We are stalemated. We have to invent a new offensive campaign, but I suspect we’ll stick with “surge” until people start laughing anytime Bush mentions it. (By thanksgiving or Xmas).

So we go into winter with only the Iraqis to trust. I trust the Iraqis to act like Iraqis. We are fighting the Iraqis against the Iraqis, so which Iraqi do we fight for? How about we do an odd-even day for sunnis and shia. On odd days, we fight with shia. On even days we give supporting cover fire for sunni incursions into Sadr City.

Sounds fair to me. But under no circumstances do we ever surrender to the kurds.

I will state categorically that I do not authorized any US troop or general to surrender to the kurds.

Dont surrender to the Kurds.

Try to remember not to surrender to the Kurds in September….

Sorry, but I happen to think that if the US pulled out, the sunnis alliance of convenience with al qaida will soon vanish (unless they decide to attack the shia in the south, which would be suicidal). Without the sunnis, where will al qaida go? To the north, with the kurds? Sorry the peshmerga will chew them up and spit them out. To the south with the shia? History will be kind to Bush if the benefits of establishing a military presence in Iraq outweight the trillions it costs or the complications that have ensued when Bush opened Pandora’s Box of ancient enmities that Saddam had bottled up.

To be kind to Bush, History will have to report that “Everything went perfectly, and the mission was accomplished, but not after a lot of hard work. Iraq became a peaceful country of freedom in the middle of Opec. After seeing how determined Bush was, all the Islamists got convinced that they cant win and they all went home shaking their heads, muttering, “Bush is too strong headed, he’s just too much of an infidel for us. He just wouldn’t surrender, and that’s just totally not fair, and I mean, we give up. the guy is too stubborn for allah. We dont even WANT him to convert to Islam. He’ll give it a bad name.”

That’s expecting everything to go perfect. So far, things have gone perfect?

I’m trying to play out the Iraq war in 10 years of occupation with evolving Sectarian hegemony competing for neighborhoods. Iraq cannot stand half shia and half sunni. A house divided against itself cannot stand. It will either be all shia or all sunni, but will not be both, as Lincoln, to whom history was kind, said about us and slavery.

So, that means we see an arms escalation and a period of quiet as the two sides seek the advantage.

It also means that in order to avoid surrendering to the Kurds, the USA will have to ultimately choose between the shia and the sunni. (two guesses who we back: the ones we threw out, the sunni bathists)

That’s what Churchill did after he got a load of what lunatics the shia be. The shia deserve to be disenfranchised for generations and generations like what’s happened since 1920 when the british occupied Iraq.

Seems churchill need to convert his navy from coal to oil and chose Iraq as the fuel depot.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see poison gas attacks to clear out neighborhoods by the sunnis against the shia. The sunnis are really good with gas, just ask the kurds, (but dont surrender to the kurds, or Jim Wooten will be heart-broken.)

Remember, Jim Wooten says “dont surrender to the kurds”. He’s smart to remind us about not doing something that only a retard would do. You did good, jim. Here’s a cookie.

Good Sunday morning, Jim,

I guess I am among the first on Sunday to respond to this topic.

I agree fully that we cannot cut and run in Iraq. However to give Georgie Bush too much credit is a mistake.

IF…he had sent a sufficient number of troops in at the start of the occupation, as was suggested to him by military officials, who were conveniently and punctually retired soon afterward, we might have already wrapped-up this difficult matter.

IF…he had established an American viceroyage, similar to General MacArthur’s role in Japan after World War II, to assist the Iraqi people in developing the knowledge and skills necessaryto develop and maintain a democratic form of government, by now, we might have an actually functioning and effective Iraqi national government.

Instead, he listened to Donald On the Cheap Rumsfeld, sent in just enough troops to win the combat phase of the operation (and too many of them had poor or inefficient equipment at the start), encouraged an inexperienced group of Iraqi quasi-politicians to try to form a democratic government (the most difficult form of government to create), paid no attention to the sectarian elements that challenged the situation, failed to secure the Iraqi borders, just as he has failed to secure ours, and swaggered his way before the American people until last fall when Petraeus and Crocker set before him that we needed another 30,000 troops or all might be lost.

If the Texas Wonder had been the President that many of us though he was, he would have handled this better.

Just think, Jim, if 30,000 additional troops has made this much difference in six months, what would have been the difference if Georgie had sent in 225,000 troops to start with?

Nope, I can’t agree with you that Georgie Bush has been a great President…just better than anything offered in 2000 or 2004. What a mess the United States political system is in!

The Atlanta Urinal Constitution, in cooperation with Al Qaeda, is pleased to announce the following blessed news:

{{{{An al-Qaida front group, the Islamic State, warned it will hunt down and kill Sunni Arab tribal leaders who cooperate with the United States and its Iraqi partners, saying the assassination of Sheik Abdul Sattar al-Rishawi, the leader of the revolt against the terror movement, was just a beginning.}}}}

So you tribal sheiks working with the infidels had better stop it, right now, and get back to beheading children and blowing up innocent civilians on behalf of the democrat controlled American Congress, uh, please.

~~~~~
Maybe you libs could review your editorial board Grand Poohba’s columns before they get published:
{{{{While some other government agencies may be politicized without corroding public trust, the Justice Department is different. It is supposed to embody American constitutional principles and protect the basic premise of our republic: that ours is a government of laws, not men.-Queen Pinko, Urinal}}}}
Uh, yeah:
{{{{Attorney General Janet Reno said she had found no evidence that President Clinton misused his office to raise money, improperly allowed contributors to stay overnight at the White House or sought contributions in exchange for favors. In a letter to Republican lawmakers, Ms. Reno presented the Justice Department’s most detailed report of its inquiry into campaign finance abuses.}}}}
So, Sinthia, omission of error or intentionally misleading?
And check this out:
{{{{It ought to be the one place where citizens can be certain that they are not judged according to race or religion, party or politics.}}}}
But then just a few paragraphs later, in the exact same column:
{{{{In 1999, Siegelman pushed hard for Alabama voters to approve a state lottery for educational causes, but the lottery was defeated by Bible-thumpers who insisted it was sinful.}}}}
pulitzer prize winner, eh?
~~~~~~~

Look at this unabashed fluff piece from the Hillary Clinton cheerleading squad:

{{{{Argentina leader gets compared to Clinton-Urinal}}}}

So this Argentian women is a lying two faced, corrupt, Chinese campaign money grubbing, who steers defense contracts to her campaign contributors, that has a “husband” that won’t sleep in the same town with her but he still gets plenty laid, she has her own set of chubby little legs and fatas-s that the pinko press refuse to show pictures of anymore, and claims to know how to speak the “redneck” language.

Other than that, what does this Argentian woman have going for her, haha.

Talk about a negative smear campaign against her, but she does try to defend herself from this vicious attack on her character:

{{{{“Hillary really acquired her national standing because her husband was president,” she told CNN en Espanol. “She didn’t have a political career beforehand, and that really isn’t my case.”}}}}

He, that’s what I was thinking too.

~~~~~
Try to decipher this:
{{{{The Iraqi government suffered another blow when lawmakers loyal to anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr announced their withdrawal from the Shiite bloc in Parliament, leaving the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki 30 seats short of a majority.}}}}
Last week the democrat liberal goonies were all bleating about the Iraqi government becoming a stooge of Iran, now that we are forcing those extremist elements out of the Iraqi Parliament it is now contrived to be a “blow?”
This is just further proof that no matter what happens in Iraq or the Bush administration it will always be portrayed as a “problem.”
And that those who influence the “news” in this fashion have an agenda and do not have the desire to present the facts in an unbiased, straight forward manner.
I don’t see how anyone could trust a word that they hear from this Atlanta Urinal Constitution or any drive by media for that matter
Example:
{{{{Oberdorfer, Dan. Tet! New York: Doubleday & Co., 1971. “…It is clear that the attack forces and particularly the indigenous Vietcong, who did most of the fighting and dying suffered a grievous military setback. Tens of thousands of the most dedicated and experienced fighters emerged from the jungles and forests of the countryside only to meet a deadly rain of fire and steel within the cities. The Vietcong lost the best of a generation of resistance fighters, and after Tet increasing numbers of North Vietnamese had to be sent south to fill the ranks. The war became increasingly a conventional battle and less an insurgency. Because the people of the cities did not rise up against the foreigners and puppets at Tet indeed, they gave little support to the attack force the communist claim to a moral and political authority in South Vietnam suffered a serious blow.}}}}
In other words, a clear cut monumental American and South Vietnamese victory that should have been the endgame for the Communists and their lackeys, but:
{{{{To say that we are mired in stalemate seems the only realistic, yet unsatisfactory, conclusion……. But it is increasingly clear to this reporter that the only rational way out then will be to negotiate, not as victors, but as an honorable people who lived up to their pledge to defend democracy, and did the best they could. This is Walter Cronkite. Good night.}}}}
I was wrong before to single out the democrat controlled Congress’s abandonment as the turning point in the Vietnam war, while it was important, this act of treason by the mainstream media was the beginning of the end.
These POS elites took an astounding American victory and turned it into a defeat, not based on any factual evidence, but instead contrived wholly from their agendas.
And we the American people fell for it. (Well, you idiot libs fell for it.)
Will we be stupid enough to lose a historical victory over Al Qaeda, a victory that could even be bigger than what we won over German Fascism or Soviet Communism, just because the pinkos control what we see on our TV sets and “news” papers?
Um, no.
~~~~~~

{{{{American commanders in southern Iraq say Shiite sheiks are showing interest in joining forces with the U.S. military against extremists, in much the same way that Sunni clansmen in the western part of the country have worked with American forces against Al Qaeda. Sheik Majid Tahir al-Magsousi, the leader of the Migasees tribe here in Wasit province, acknowledged tribal leaders have discussed creating a brigade of young men trained by the Americans to bolster local security as well as help patrol the border with Iran. He also said last week’s assassination of Abdul-Sattar Abu Risha, who spearheaded the Sunni uprising against Al Qaeda in Anbar province, only made the Shiite tribal leaders more resolute. “We see consistently expressed deep frustration or anger with the activities of militia that appear to be untethered to any sort of guiding authority, appear to be really criminal in nature,” he added.}}}}

Now we got a “civil” war.

Democrats aren’t just for surrendering anymore.

We also listen to Bush speak: “If we were driven from Iraq…. extremists could control a key part of the global energy supply.”

This is Bush’s retro-admission to the petro-mission in Iraq. But I love the way he threw it in there amoungst lesser evils. Like in “American Graffiti” when the underaged teen tried to buy liquor: “Yes, I’d like a comb, a ball point pen, a pint of Dewer’s ,and some aftershave, and some matches……”

BUSH: “If we surrender, then Iran could get nukes, uh…and al queda would get recruits, we’d lose control of that oil, and …we’d never finish building that new US Embassy in Tikrit…..

It’s like the way some catholics confess to onanism: “Bless me father, I have sinned, uh…I uh gossipped about my boss’s wife, I, uh, shoplifted a pair of socks from macy’s, I was impure, I lied to my wife about drinking beer in the basement, I…(What do you mean that you were impure?)…Huh? Oh, you know. I was looking at dirty pictures. You know. (no, I dont know, what dirty pictures?). Porn, father, internet porn in 3D using a wifi connect to an Iphone modified to accept bluetooth pegamixels and stuff….(how many times did you look at porn this way?)…Uh, not many, twenty or thirty seven, maybe fifty times. (So that’s how you were impure then? You looked at porn? )..well yes, basically, I probably touched myself you know…(so you masturbated to porn?)…YES! Thankyou, Father.

Bush is still an adolescent confessing to a nation his sin of self-abuse of power.

Well, I’m real sorry I spent all day at Countryland Golf Club yesterday and didn’t get a chance to say nothing to you all.

But when I got home and read Wooten’s fine, patriotic words about My President and then seen Captain Freedom’s amen to it all, I stood up and got a cold chill and saluted My President and by the time it was all over I found out I didn’t even need a belt to hold up my pants. I was just so proud to be a American and have such a Great President.

This is the most best president we ever had. But the libruls keep blaming him for all kinds of things. Like running us into debt and shipping jobs overseas and people out of work and people with no medical insurance and fighting a war bad and spying on peoples mail and phone calls and such. Well, everybody knows them things is somebody elses fault, not My President’s.

I’m with Sister Dusty. She calls the libruls what they are—a bunch of cut ‘n runners. She makes me so proud the way she stands up and blasts the libruls from her BBQ grill and such. We will keep fighting in Iraq till they got nobody left to fight us and we will win cause we got more people than they got. It may cost a few thousand more lifes but you got to die some day anyway and besides I don’t know none of the soldiers that died. I’m awful glad My President is laying plans for being over there another 20 years or so. It ain’t long. Heck, us rednecks have been fighting the civil war over here for nigh on 150 years.

Anyway, I’m scared to death a librul will be president in another 18 months or so and ruin all the plans My President made and use our taxes to pay for medical insurance and appoint librul judges and all that stuff. Me and my buddy Jim Earl already decided we will leave this country and go live someplace else if that happens. There must be some country that will want a few patriotic rednecks.

Let me close with a salute to the brave Captain Freedom. You are a true patriot, sir. I don’t understand half the words you use but your heart is in the Right place. No one could of said truer words about My President and slammed the libruls better. Long as we got good people like you the US of A will be fine.

And to all the rest of you I say God Bless America. If you don’t like it leave it, for you are a bunch of traders, but if you are a god fearing Christian conservative you need to stick around and maybe make it so My President can run again. We may have a few people that have trouble chasing teenage boys and trying to do You Know What with other men in public restrooms and going to jail for bribes and such, but no party is perfect. Leastwise we know how to keep a good war going.

When Bush appears to be reeling, under siege from public opinion polls, unified Democrats and defections among Republican allies, he has the remarkable leadership ability to plant his feet, define his principled ground, and stand fast. Never betray people who believe in you. Bush won’t.

Stand fast? He hides, Jim. He hid his low IQ behind Cheney and Powell to get elected, he hid behind Rumsfeld for the first years of Iraq, and now he hides behind Betrayus. And we should have know this would happen, as he hid underneath his Daddy’s bed during Vietnam.

General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker are being as honest with the American people as their positions within the military and the foreign service of the United States will permit. If one has listened to their testimonies, the signals are clear…there is much about the current strategy that is working, yet there are no guarantees.

Petraeus and Crocker may turn out to be the heroes of this mess. It certainly will not be Bush or Rumsfeld.

The new Presidency in 2009 will provide us an opportunity to view this matter more objectively and without Bush’s stubborn pride of opinion.

I hope, whoever the new Chief Executive is, that an effort will be made to increase and equip the conventional forces of the United States. We need a standing Army of 4.5 million. The other services need to be increased proportionally.

Bush’s retro-admission to the petro-mission in Iraq is a blockbuster!!

He said it. Oil. We are there so China doesn’t hoard that oil. We are there to build a fort on top of that oil.

Finally. A mission. Okay, I can work with that.

Lets build an airbase, and surround that airbase with an army citadel, and interweave female marines and special-forces-women imbeds (via musical beds) using burka camoflauge in veiled secrecy at night, and surround that entire military Xanadu with a naval armada (off shore, morons), and surrond all of it with a cruise missile umbrella of doom.

Our advice to you stinking republicans about to be fired from your do nothing jobs follows:

“1. We hope you can sell that foreign car you spent too much money for.

“2. Get a good pair of shoes as you will need them to walk from place to place while begging for the jobs you sent overseas.

“3. Obtain good negotiating skills, as you will have to go low enough to displace foreigners you have let in to our country illegally because everyone wanted to profit from under-priced labor.

“4. Eat right. You don’t think a hospital will waste resources on anyone over 50 do you? They did not back in the Great Depression!”

The funniest and most practical advice was:

“5. Obtain a favorite cup and spoon, because even at the soup kitchens of the 1930s, you had to bring your own.”

Bush made a retro-admission to the petro-mission in Iraq!

We gave amnesty to sunni insurgents. The shia militas now want amnesty. (we have to choose soon)

We surrendered to Sunni Insurgents, and gave them our weapons, which they promised only to use against the english language al queda in Iraq.

We surrendered to Al Sadr in Sadr City when we stopped looking for that lost Marine. What happened to him? Bush dont know.

So amnesty and surrender is Bush’s way, not the democrats.

That’s why the right screamed “amnesty” so loud last summer about illegal aliens. They were covering up the real amnesty we bestowed on the enemy what kilt all our troops for four years in Iraq.

That’s sounds like capitulation to me.

Here’s two bits of advice -

1) Buy gold as Wooten’s beloved government is printing money like there’s no tomorrow. How else to knock a nick in the nearly 9 trillion gross national debt. Your dollar is more worthless every day. Buy gold and hard assets to protect yourself against the charade that is a fiat currency.

2)Vote for Ron Paul to save this broken country and get us back to our constitutional roots, pull our troops out of the 130 countries the U.S. currently resides in, get rid of the private banker’s Federal Reserve, abolish the federal income tax, and many other needed reforms to get this country off the road to Rome.

3)Bonus - A horse walks into a bar. Bartender says, aren’t you that blowhard dimwit who writes for the AJC?

After the sunnis and shia stalemate, then we’ll get the political compromises that will allow us to tell them all to go f themselves, it’s out oil, we died for it, we paid for it, and we aint letting you sell it all to china.

Captain Kirk pulled out aplomb with his thumbed-up split infinitive, “To boldly go”. Only slightly less famous was good boy neil armstrong with “That’s one step for man.”

But Neil Armstrong was correct. Christ gave us the authority to speak to god as man for man both as individuals and collectively as a species on a planet.

Each of you should Speak to God for all of us. Every ask “why me”? I’ll tell U Y U. You can move God. He lives in your mind as far as any connection you’ve ever had with god. You never actually saw him, but you thought of him and learned about him. Christ only left us with this: We have the authority to speak to god for ourselves and everyone else on the planet.

So allow me. God, this is the way we respect your name. Christ said Father. Mohammed said Allah. We will trust that you can see the equivalency of yourself, for yourself, and by yourself, (whew), and forgive our crude attempts to pronounce your holy name. We worship you together, for ever and ever, amen. Thank you for this planet, btw. it rocks.

The new glory be: I crave my enemy’s prayers. I know we’ll both perish eventually, but with God’s help, we’ll let God decide when.

Speak to God now. Dont read anymore of this tone poem until you acknowledge he exists and is listening to this new prayer.

Respect Christ. Respect Mohammed. Neither are the Father. Neither are the Father. (Christ was not the Father, although if he was any closer he’d be mary)

or the holy ghost. amen.

Anyone believe in God now? I doubt it. I just destroyed all of religion as we know it on the face of the earth. And I liked doing it! And I’ll do it again on the next planet and the next planet and the next planet……..I just proved that we are alone in the universe. If there were other beings on other planets, then christ would have to get crucified infinity times as he went from planet to planet in some perpetual devotion machine much like a surge. Thus we can only conclude that man created the universe when he first observed it. God needs us as much as we need him. He lives only through us. Christ said only through me can you see the Father, but mathematically, christ said that the father can only get to all of us through Christ. the common ground between God and Man is christ, and in Islam that person is Mohammed. However the window to god was opened, the view is identical: GOD. ONE GOD.

(the Position is Taken) by the Father into which the Son may never truly be. Christ was a hybrid man. He was a man. He was the Son of Man. We are man. We are all the Son of Man too. Notice no divinity claim. I’m the Son of Man. That means he speaks for all of man as a man and showing other men how to speak the same way to God. Just speak.

Did christ know he was the son of god? He had doubts. He talked to the father openly on the cross. Just speak to God, christ is showing us. Christ’s message is still rather undeciphered, but what christ gave us is good enough. Notice how he spoke to 12 apostles? the number is what god would choose to assure the redundancy necessary to translate accurately 2000 years later, like now, man. I think we can trust most of the beatitudes. I think there are new beatitudes that would have been added if the apostles had thought of them. Like, say, “Blessed are those who only criticize in others what they see of themselves. It’s a dead giveaway. Irony rules the universe. We act like we’re not.

The spin about others lives only in your own mind. You could never communicate your true intentions through your humanity. No way. Nobody else in the world thinks quite the way YOU do. and that’s why you. Why you? Because it’s required by God that it be only your experience. Only Your take. Your choices. You’re so important that it cant be anyone else’s experience or spin, it has to be yours…You. Your mind. your thoughts. Your reactions. . You’re equal to the whole of man. You’re have the same authority that christ had when he adressed God as the son of man.

Life is short, but you probably figured God for extra time. Never leave scratch marks on the inside of a door jam. (steve mcqueen)

So the country has realized we’re trapped 4ever in Iraq. Amazing.

Who is the enemy in Iraq? The multiple-front face of the enemy has multiple subsets of larger tribal feuds that both intersect and criss-cross the overall civil war…. Churchill knew. Bush Sr. knew. The worst possible move any world leader could have made after 911 was to unhinge Iraq.

What Bush did: The danger of Iraq morphing into ww3 is really good vegas odds. I’d take the bet.

Be afwaid. Be berry afwaid.

Viva Las Vegas! Viva Las Vegas!!

ps to keep expanding, china needs oil, as much as, or ten times more than we do. We will breath from chinese catalytic converters and smokestack scrubbers. There’s the industry we hope they copy and rip off. Let them see how much money there is in clean air. We can avoid war.

BUT Bush went to war already. War should be a last resort. This Iraq is actually the end of what Chairman Mao asked Nixon, “How many generations of peace will there be, one? two?” Nixon was the right man in that room as our president… So far the Chinese want a healthy global consumer. Thank you, Richard Nixon.

We can have peace and move the world forward, but we have been forced to face ancient enmities too soon for us to embrace each other peacefully. We are at war, peace is not an option.

See what Bush did? See it now? The McRoves are going to have to flee. Let them go. We have a world to save, and a god to convince.

THE Captain returns to stand again with Mr Wooten, Dusty, and Time for Meth in the call for Permanent War. It is the Right Thing to do. Period. God said it. Our Leader heard it. I believe it. End of discussion.

THE Captain also wishes to endores the modest proposals of Dusty and St John McCain that those who disagree with Us, the 26-37% of the US population who are True Americans (by virture of our unwavering support of Our Leader and His Permanent War) should either be forcibly deported or imprisoned for their seditious Heresies and America-hating. It is the Right Thing to do.

(Those who would decry the ensuing labor shortage forget that we have offshored almost all productive work anyway. The rest can be done by low-cost immigrant labor. This too is Common Sense, market-driven conservatism.)

And despite Sister Dusty’s modest averral that she is nothing like THE Captain, THE Captain wishes to state that they are peas in a pod, two of a perfect pair, and absolute mirror images. Dusty feels inadequate in her not-man-ness, and rightly defers to THE Captain as a White Christian Conservative Male. Lots of great observations here this morning, 11:03, 11:29, 11:54.

sct at 12:05 though, hits the proverbial nail on the head.

The Dems have been called many things, some correctly, but as far as sheep, or perhaps willing lambs being led to the slaughter, NO ONE in the history of the nation compares to the knee-jerk, lock-step neo-cons, whose essential philosophy is, “If the non-republicans believe in something/anything? (Thanks Todd Rundgren!), we won’t.

Pick a subject, there are many.

Reagan, the idolized grandfather of neo-conservatism, ramped up this farce that has become the “new” GOP. And GWB has helped grow it into the disaster that it now is.

Men of courage and conscience, like Chuck Hagel, who is one of the first of hopefully, many others to come has at least begun what will surely be an ugly, arduous process of restoring some sanity, dignity, clear vision and competence to that once respected political party (albeit a very long time ago) and who, like the rest of America repudiate this failed experiment and philosophy perpetrated by men who in many cases lack the above traits. And whose most ardent followers are discredited here and around the globe.

The good news is that their swan song is becoming deafening and the nation will undoubtedly extract another reckoning next November.

While Mr. Wooten worries that we are betraying Iraq by leaving, I wonder if he has pondered how Iraq has betrayed US. Seems like to me they have sat around for these years and let US do the work and let US take the blame and now they want US to continue to do the hard stuff a while longer and a while longer and a while longer till they are “ready”. By “ready” they mean that all their opponents have been killed or rendered unable to defend themselves and that we are financially bankrupt (morally we are already pretty much empty with all that has happened in the last 6 years).

Of course, Mr. Bush wants US to keep doing it because he isn’t really a part of the US that is doing it. And, besides, he and his ilk are profiteering left and right—no suffering going on there.

Moron Jim says: History — assuming it is written by free men and women not intimidated into silence by the fear of attracting the terrorists’ notice — will be exceedingly kind to this president.

What Moron Jim doesn’t tell you is that Bush is not fighting a war; he’s persecuting a personal agenda using the US military. Our soldiers are not defending the US or democracy or any of the other neocon Republican lies that Bush and his followers have spewed. It is not for the honor of the country or a promise or anything else. Powell said it best; “You break it, you own it.” But so far, the public has largely failed to hold Bush and Co responsible for this debacle.

Another thing that Moron Jim doesn’t tell you it that history is written by the people in charge at any given time. Note the current revisionist history on Vietnam and McCarthy. The neocons are in charge and their version of history is that Vietnam was lost because of bad press and liberals and that McCarthy was justified in his witch hunt for commies no matter how many innocent people were harmed along the way. So as long as the neocons are in charge, Bush will be a righteous man on a justified jihad with moral and principle guiding him. Of course we all know that is crap, but that’s the way Moron Jim and his buddies want to write history. Bush is an ideologue; not a man of principle. He bought into the neocon views of Dick ‘Chicken Army’ Cheney and this merry band of inept suck-ups. Bush will be remember for what he didn’t accomplish more than anything else. And he didn’t accomplish a lot.

Trash, that’s because right wingers have lives and enjoy it unlike you filthy subhuman liberal POSs. Look at you miserable keyboard monkeys tapping your sad miserable liberal lives away on this blog. In any event, I would not want to live in a nation where freedom of speech is quelled and protesting government policies is outlawed. Although, I’m sure if the left was in total power they would eventually try to find a way to outlaw conservative thoughts and ideology under a guise of “hate speech.” One doesn’t have to read any further than the excrement posted by the left on this blog to see that.

Let’s say that [Iraq war for oil] is true. So what? The US and Britain are dependent on oil. Our economic way of life are what they are because of it. If it was suddenly cut off our way of life, our economic power would collapse. I have no problem with protecting our interests even if that means we need to protect our access to oil. - Anne, London, U.K.

Word up, Anne. While technically we didn’t go to Iraq for oil as a primary reason, it is a trickle down reason. There is not one word from Democrats or Republicans about oil with regards to plans on taking out Saddam. In addition, during the last two years of the Clinton Administration, a contingent plan to take Saddam out was drawn up. Greenspan knows that and is becoming senile. The whiners moaned and groaned those same “no war for oil” words 17 years ago. Monsterous tyrants like Saddam are a threat to middle east oil stability and need to be taken out at any and all cost. Some landlocked libs who’ve never set foot outside of America find this hard to believe, but America is not the only user of oil. Go tell your lib friends across the pond to go ride a bike, live in a cave, eat raw grass, make their own clothes, and stfu about oil already if they are that upset about it. In short, tell them to lead by a zero-oil use lifestyle example or stfu. Over here, Learjet libs like Gore, Edwards, and Huffington can’t get enough of it while trash talking it. Finally, I’d bet you not one left winger on this blog is using solar or wind power to power their computer and monitor. They’re all hypocrites who’s words are not worth the dirt on Stalin’s grave. They have nothing to say to me.

Another milestone in military conflict by America: When Army scouts in Iraq spotted two men planting a roadside bomb Sept. 1, they called in a nearby Hunter unmanned aircraft, which dropped a laser-guided bomb and killed the two men (and recorded the first ever UAV kill).

Yay for America! Cool. That should upset the boohooing peacenick libs.

Dang Jim, you ought to talk to your co-worker Mike about opening up his blog on the weekends.

The liberals’ need to hunt down and defeat optimism here is unbelievable.

Like Mid-South, I would have appreciated seeing a larger troop force at the onset of the conflict in Iraq, but public opinion polls being run at the time were asking two questions.

Q - Would you support an invasion into Iraq following the 9/11 attack?

A - YES

Q - Would you support an invasion into Iraq if it resulted in large numbers of casualties?

A - NO

Could this opinion poll have played into the administration’s decision as to how many troops were initially needed?

It is a possibility!!! Couple that with the intelligence reports (misguided or not) a greater number of troops would have placed more of them at risk of chemical attacks.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Just look at the liberal number of a*******es in Congress who don’t have an alternate plan other than surrender.

Guarded optimism on Iraq has always been Bush’s call to the American people. He made the mistake of thinking that anti-war leftists and politically motivated Democrats were actually capable of such a tremendous endeavor.

Nope…nope…when it comes to the radical left pessimism must rule our future. It ruled them when General Patraeus offered his guarded optimism on Iraq. It drove them to undermine his message even before he had the chance to deliver it.

I’m betting it will backfire and hit them squarely where they sit in Washington.

Exit door? The Democrats haven’t left themselves an exit door. It occurred to me during President Bush’s address to the nation, that they missed their most opportune moment to capitalize on Iraq. In short…they blew it and thank goodness.

There is no question in my mind. I would not want to place our national security in the hands of Democrats who are too incompetent to secure their own political fate in ‘08 even when it has been handed to them?

I’m taking a front row seat on this one. The dems are in for a bumpy ride.

I’m very optimistic!!!!!

Ah, dear catlady,

Even though you are a black fluffy kitty with a white stripe down your back, I assure you that what I write is exactly what I am thinking. Unlike you I have no party line. I do have a great love for this country and do not appreciate those who undermine it.

In my opinion, anyone who expects terrorism to go away without us fighting is stupid, plain and simple. The war in Iraq has many missions, but the primary one is to fight terrorism on all fronts before it reaches us again. President Bush is leading that fight.

I am also not so naive as to believe that war is any thing other than hellish. It goes up and down, with losses and victories, sadness and death. But I cannot see any other way to stop the oppressive evils that humans inflict on other humans. War is the lesser of great evils when we must choose. Reminder: Holocaust, Khmer rouge, Rwanda,Darfur and now the virulent terrorism.

I do speak tongue and cheek sometimes, but only with the counterfeit conservative clowns of this blog, Captain and Redneck Convert. Jim Wooten does not fit into that cetegory and I enjoy his columns. He is not ashamed to be an American and shows it.

Those bad news bees are responsible for american men’s turbo-wanking habits only. We make no other claims about the bad news bees.

We are totally satisfied with Bush’s retro-admission about the petro-mission.

Now we can have the national debate: Do we allow the Iraqis to participate in the revenue and growth of that oil, or do we hoard it all for the one man who grabbed it: Cheney and the Saudi Royal Family.

To get that oil, Cheney had to commit treason, that is, Cheney had to act as our commander in chief when he belayed a direct order from our president, who ordered our army to attack Osama Bin Laden, who had been treed by the CIA snoopdogs. Rumsfeld and Cheney conspired to get Bush to fire the CIA first, and only then did they agreed to attack. they missed. they bungled it. they acted too late to catch osama bin laden or destroy his alqueda army.

All this happened becasue if we had destroyed alqueda, then there could be no invasion of Iraq. Finality can sober up a stupified nation. Osama’s capture would have provided finality a year after 911. Kudos to the CIA for their quick work.

Too bad that cheney realized that only by keeping Osama Bin Laden at large, would Iraq sell. Cheney is quite mad, you know. If cheney really did act as the commander in chief and belay that attack order to General Rumsfeld, then the terrorists won.

“It began with a pro-troops rally sponsored by the Gathering of Eagles. This was the group that organized thousands of people, mostly Vietnam Vets, to come to the ANSWER rally last March and heckle the bejeezus out of the surprised antiwar protestors marching to the Pentagon. This time, several hundred Eagles were gathered on the mall, waving American flags, singing patriotic songs, and cheering speeches that praised U.S. soldiers and ridiculed the protestors. It was not yet 10 a.m., and hardly any ANSWER activists were to be seen. A funny thing about these D.C. rallies and counter-rallies is that the pro-American side always turns out early, while the leftists can never seem to get anything organized before noon.”

The problem with France is that they elected a stinking yulmuke wearer to be their so called leader. France will live to regret that mistake, just as america regrets electing the israeli puppet called GWB to the office of president, and office that may never recover from the abuses of that clown.

Hey Amvet: Is this^^ an example of the liberal sophistication you are always babbling about?

What I am constantly “babbling about”, liar, is the irrefutable and near TOTAL lack of sophistication, intelligence, honesty and morality as evidenced by you personally, but attributable in general to most of the other few laughable neo-cons here.

Even on this supposed “conservative” (HA!) blog, the liberals, moderates, progressives and non neo-cons outnumber you hyper-hypocrites and social misfits by a WIDE margin. What does that tell you about advocating your repulsive, extremist views? They don’t sell, even when orchestrated and spun by one of the Bushbots, Mr. Wooten himself.

It is of no significance to me personally that you’re on the wrong side of so many issues facing this nation, and why your claims are so specious and so transparent. Nor why you and the ultra far right wing extremists are repudiated by the majority of ethical, educated Americans as evidenced by the avalanche of those here who speak out against you.

Live with it. You own it.

Idiot @ 3:10:

Hows it goin’ today? Here’s the thing I most admire about Bush. He didn’t want to leave you liberals without something to celebrate. Thus you have it…

*“If we were driven out of Iraq, extremists of all strains would be emboldened. We would leave our children to face a more dangerous world.”

and might I add that the radical left is living up to my expectations with their enthusiasm to reap such rewards in Iraq. The strangest things tend to get them excited.

Anyhoo…your comment to me on yesterday’s thread…

Boobs, if you’ve got balls enough to call someone that fought in your stead in a war that YOUR party supported, a “blow hard” and “pitiful”…you should have balls enough to put your own damn lawnmower belt on…but I guess you depend on your man to do everything else for you…I call THAT pitiful!

Balls?…balls? Let’s just say that I know how to manhandle a task. It was a collaborative effort (something that Democrats know nothing about). He fixes the lawnmower and I cut the grass. A plan for success. IT WORKED and the yard is lookin’ good.

Rotten - Yeess, you are right here…”The point is liberal pee on, that France is not ruling out a war.”

…neither are we veggie brain…but again, from your own post…

“We must negotiate right to the end,” with Iran, he said, but underlined that if Tehran possessed an atomic weapon, it would represent “a real danger for the whole world.”

“We are trying to put in place plans which are the privilege of chiefs of staff and that is not for tomorrow,” he said, referring to military plans but stressed that although any attack on Iran was far from taking place, “It is normal for us to plan” for any eventuality”

…However, from your war-monger eyes you only see WAR. If your daddy had used a little diplomacy to start with, we wouldn’t even be talking about Iran. I can see why you are rotten…you’re full of hate, vengence and anger…that sht will kill you dude…better start doing some self-examination. Have a nice day my little tomato :)

ANDREA MITCHELL, NBC NEWS:

“Up until now, Bill Clinton has been a complete plus among Democratic primary voters for Hillary Clinton. But now, with the Norman Hsu money-raising controversy, for the first time there’s a real concern in the Clinton camp that this is real baggage from the Clinton White House years. There’s a lot of stress, a lot of damage control, a lot of finger-pointing — and in fact, stress is so high that there was a shouting match observed among Clinton staffers in public last week.”

“We may differ with our American friends about tactics, I might not see eye to eye with them on all matters. But my message to them is one of appreciation and gratitude,” he said. ” To them I say, you have liberated a people, brought them into the modern world. They used to live in fear and now they live in liberty. Iraqis were cut off from the modern world, and thanks to American intervention we now belong to the world around us. We used to be decimated and killed like locusts in Saddam’s endless wars, and we have now come into the light. A teacher used to work for $2 a month, now there is a living wage, and indeed in some sectors of our economy, we are suffering from labor shortages.”

{{{{“Historically we are winning.” The words were those of Vice President Adel Abdul Mahdi. This is a scion of Baghdad Shiite aristocracy, at ease with French and English, a man whose odyssey had taken him from Marxism to the Baath, then finally to the Islamism of the Supreme Islamic Council. “We came from under the ashes, and now the new order, this new Iraq, is taking hold. If we were losing, why would the insurgents be joining us?” He had nothing but praise for the effort that had secured the peace of Baghdad: “Petraeus can defend the surge,” he said. “He can show the ‘red zones’ of conflict receding, and the spread of the ‘blue zones’ of peace. Six months ago, you could not venture into the Anbar, now you can walk its streets in peace. There is a Sunni problem in the country which requires a Shiite initiative. The Sunni problem is power, plain and simple. Sunni society grew addicted to power, and now it has to make this painful adjustment.”}}}}

{{{{Mr. Mahdi was not apologetic about what Iraq offers the United States by way of justification for the blood and treasure and the sacrifice: “Little more than two decades ago, in the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution and the Lebanon War of 1982, the American position in this region was exposed and endangered. Look around you today: Everyone seeks American protection and patronage. The line was held in Iraq; perhaps America was overly sanguine about the course of things in Iraq. But that initial optimism now behind us, the war has been an American victory. All in the region are romancing the Americans, even Syria and Iran in their own way.”}}}}

One often hears that government schools in totalitarian nations brainwash their children to love the government. People in free nations decry that as oppressing the free will of innocent children, and rightly so. In American schools, however, just the opposite is true as with the case of an anti-American teacher in a public school in Chico, California who hates this country so much that he sent a letter home to his student’s parents urging them to renounce their citizenship in the U.S. as he announced he was so doing.

Since the troubling work of the so-called progressives led by John Dewey that has resulted in the near destruction of our institutes of higher learning, American schools have been steadily undermining this country. For a long time, at least, it was isolated mostly in the Universities safely removed from our youngest and most vulnerable students. Now, this pernicious and self-loathing force is commonly seen in even our elementary and high schools all too often. Supposed “teachers” who so hate the United States, its culture, history and ideals that they are willing to cast aside any pretense of teaching and are going straight for political indoctrination of their own hate filled ideology appear everywhere you turn.

This is the case of yet another American hater, another Ward Churchillesque propagandist infesting an American public school, one paid for by public funds, who is advocating the destruction of the United States by teaching things antithetical to our nation.

“Teacher” Mike Brooks is teaching his 14-year-old, middle school children that the U.S. tortures people and that it is better to be a member of “the global community” than to be an American. He is so filled with hate against the U.S.A. that he even sent a letter home to his student’s parents asking them to renounce their citizenship in the U.S. <— more of the kook left libs for you that are hell bent on destroying this nation.

Man, the good news just keeps pouring on for the neo-cons! it is to laugh!

And GWB didn’t make the list of smartest Presidents? I am shocked!!

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan slams President Bush and today’s Republicans, while calling Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton “the smartest presidents” he worked with, according to an advance copy of his upcoming book.

He further says the GOP deserved the stomping it took in November’s congressional elections — a ballot that saw both houses of Congress wrested from Republican control — because the party “swapped principle for power.”

His book, “The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World,” is scheduled for release Monday. CNN obtained a copy Saturday.

In the book, Greenspan wrote that Bush essentially left an unbridled GOP Congress to spend money however it saw fit, and by not vetoing a single bill in six years, the president deprived the nation of checks and balances.

“The Republicans in Congress lost their way,” Greenspan wrote. “They swapped principle for power. They ended up with neither. They deserved to lose.”

As for the president’s lack of intellectual curiosity and his vapidness compared to his predecessors, look to his “base” for the answer.

As long as the neo-cons never gain a foothold along the coasts, where the majority of the intellect and culture in this country resides, they can have the most backwards and least educated in Georgia, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Utah and West Virginia.

And yes, dork the point is that Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar (look it up if you don’t know what it means), Carter graduated at the top of his class at Annapolis, Nixon was brilliant. Some needle prick writer from the Slimes named Frank Rich insinuates that Petreaus is a coward for going on Fox News:

General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker could grab an hour of prime television time only by slinking into the safe foxhole of Fox News, where Brit Hume chaperoned them on a gloomy, bunkerlike set before an audience of merely 1.5 million true believers.

First of all, this little prick needs to understand that Foxnews is the #1 cable media outlet in the nation. He’ll just have to change his soiled panties.

But this little liberal bald comb over prick never shot a gun in his life, let alone ever served, yet he has the gall to call Petreaus a coward. I tell ya, the disgust, trash, filth, garbage, excrement, and absolute satanic hate these liberals are full of out there will get the best of them one day. I’m at peace knowing that. But, in true Slimes fashion, details and the truth are thrown out the window of lies. Here’s where Petreaus appeared other than Fox News:

  • ABC

  • NBC

  • CBS

  • CNN (Situation Room, Anderson Cooper, American Morning)

Hate to burst your bubble but I think you will find that Cheney and Halliburton were involved in the oil for food nonsense, though I think they preferred to do business with Iran.

Funny thing about the oil business is that oil is located in some of the most unsavory countries in the world. In order to be successful, you have to do business with those countries. By all accounts, Halliburton has been successful.

We should maybe invade other countries, and Make Damn sure the soldiers we are USING to invade other countries, keep getting the lousy health care support when they come back here hurt, and wounded.

Most importantly I think we need to keep the Rich getting richer, and the WAR machine going………that will make us wonderful citizens for the rest of the world and bring about GLOBAL Peace !!!!!!
