Blogging real

Something about blogging is like an in-flight conversation with a person you’ll never again see. It invites confessions. Herewith, then, are some about blogging and me.

After six months, I am struck by how much of it is improvisational theater. People play roles. Often I think contributors, and liberals in particular, are effecting the voices they despise, projecting themselves to be bigots or religious fanatics, for example, because to their ear that’s the way conservatives talk, especially social conseratives. We aren’t and we don’t. Southerners, though, having heard the accent-in-parody throughout our lives, develop a finely-tuned ear — and eye —for the real deal. The gay marriage debate produced an unusually heavy volume of pretenders.

A lot of name-calling occurs in the blogosphere, too. I’ll admit that some of it is pretty creative and entertaining — invective the way it used to be before political correctness de-flowered public people of originality, lest they trip up and say somthing like “handicapped” instead of “disabled” or “differently abled.” Anyway, it’s hard for today’s blogosphere invective to top some of history’s masters. Who could forget reading about Virginian John B. Randolph’s characterization of his fellow Congressman, Henry Clay of Kentucky: “This being, so brilliant yet so corrupt, which, like a rotten mackerel by moonlight, shined and stunk.” A duel followed. (Disallowed on this blog, or flowing from exchanges on it.) Or earlier, British politician John Wilkes’ response to the Earl of Sandwich’s prediction that Wilkes would die on the gallows or of venereal disease. “That depends, my lord,” replied Wilkes, “whether I embrace your principles or your mistress.” (The exchange is also attributed to others; Thinking Right can’t even know for certain who posts now, much less who tossed an original barb then.)

As for the names liberals call me here and elsewhere — wingnut, right-wing loon, goose-stepping fascist and the like —have no worry. I have an older and bigger brother who was both inventive with names and positioned to apply them by brute force. And I’ve been married for the better part of 40 years, so all of my shortcomings have been noted with great insight, comprehensive analysis, and all subjected to a strictly supervised rehabilitation regimen. So flail away. But don’t expect “do-do head” to send me to therapy or convert me to liberalism. My brother started there.

Today’s questions, housekeeping of sorts, has to do with the blog, the conversation and the tone. What do you look for here? What would you like to lose? And do the games others play amuse or turn you off?

I think you have some serious and thoughtful blggers here, on both political sides. But there are a lot of immature, name-calling bloggers who don’t know how to discuss issues. And then there are the crude and rude people who hijack one’s screen name to post their filth. I won’t be blogging here again after having that happen several times (under another name).

Jim, I’m a little concerned about you. I hope you understand that there are a handful of trolls posting 70% of the comments on this and Lucky’s blog.

Never reply to a troll. It’s the cardinal rule of blogging. Trolls never go away, no matter how many times you trounce them. It’s the definition of a troll. They dont go away. They’re like stains on three day-old-underwear in a cold water cycle without bleach. (There are anthropologists who can date your Fruit of the Looms by counting the skidmarks. I have a pair from 1973. I’m the third BVD model from the left in the 1974 Sear’s catalogue. I’m historic.)

Never. Ever. Reply. To. A. Troll.

Good morning, all, and welcome back, Jim. For the greater part I skip over the invective on the blog. I allow myself to use “Moonbat” for the most extreme national socialist positions argued on the blog, but otherwise I try to argue the substance. I skip over those spewings with scatological references. I think economic nonsense distresses me more than anything I read on the blog.

I always read, and often disagree with, MidSouth Philosopher and Southern Democrat; they write well and force me to rethink my own ethical positions on a daily basis. I have often praised my friend TFTT for the clever use of language, although he would be unsurprised that I do not share his enthusiasm for the name-calling (but he truly is as skilled as Jim’s older brother.) I enjoy Van’s arguments, but since they mirror my own thoughts I have little cause to exchange with him. I think I enjoy most on the blog the arguments of some of the younger people – JK, Dana, @@, and Dusty are a few I always read.

I am shocked, shocked that Jim did not use my word “neonut”.

The battle on the blogs is over. The American people, including Republicans, Independents and Democrats all voted to get our country back from the “neonuts”.

The “neonuts” are history so the namecalling now will look ridiculous.

Jbmlaw is a sociopath. He’ll post one respectable, but boring, comment in the morning, and then spend the entire day posting with his trolls about dribbish. His writing style stinks. He stinks.

He’s a no good, dirty, yellah, lyin’ piece of confederate troll trash. (Why do all my comments end with a small child running after me yelling, “Shane! Come back, Shane!”

A moment of silence for Jack Palance, the star of Shane, who’s invective lives as one of the greatest along with Peter Lorre’s string of rantings against Sidney Greenstreet at the end of “Maltese Falcon”, which is the greatest of all time.

Quoth Jim: “Often I think contributors, and liberals in particular, are effecting the voices they despise, projecting themselves to be bigots or religious fanatics, for example, because to their ear that’s the way conservatives talk, especially social conseratives. We aren’t and we don’t.”

Almost, Jim. In my experience many social conservatives that I know do speak that way when they feel they are in a ‘safe’ crowd. And on this board, posters like Realist, TFTT, and Markus are never shy about displaying their uglier natures. They offer no target for the parodist, as they are parodies in and of themselves.

But even the ones that do not speak in this overtly objectionable tone often use a thinly veiled code that is understandable to any who wish to parse the language. And here is where the skilled parodist serves a purpose…to strip away the veneer of civility that masks the true nature of so much of the social conservative project.

Alas, that there were a skilled parodist in sight.

As for the art of invective, that is something to admire here, with the notable exception of the poo-poo-ca-ca types who spew naughty combinations without any sense of art or deft touch. And that’s the Truth.

My favorite invective from history: Winston Churchill was confronted by Lady Astor at a social affair. “Sir, you are drunk. You are very drunk.” Lord Churchill replied: “Madam, you are ugly. You are very ugly. In the morning, I shall be sober.”

Glad you’re back Jim. Your columns last week really had the flavor of “just mailed in”. Certainly we won’t feel that way now that you are back on the beam.

I’ve heard some interesting arguments here, and like jbmlaw, I like the blog aspect of having to really think about or defend one’s viewpoint. God knows the sheeples of the world can’t or won’t do that.

The name-calling is indeed kinda funny and creative up to a point. There’s an art to insult.

I skip reading a lot of posts of the “frequent flyers”, who wants to hear the same stuff over and over? It’s like a conversation—-there are always attention seeking hogs who will babble on and on whether anyone is listening or not. Political Foreskin is right…ignore the troll. On a blog, you can’t stop them from talking, but you can tune them out.

Jim,

I am a bogging neophyte, but I can see that public debate is still alive and well. Like Aquagirl (901), I find the blog a means whereby to shape and defend an opinion. My political opinions are still in embryonic form, so what better way to learn than to debate such skilled debaters. Yes, I use multiple voices as I work the spectra of opinions, gaining insight as each of these voices receive rebuttal. Sometimes, multiple voices even allow me to debate myself whenever I am of a mixed mind about a topic. With the input from the other bloggers, I move along that spectrum until an opinion fits in with the other opinions I am forming. I love blogging and look forward to each day and new debates.

It is blindingly obvious - to those that actually want to see - that yours truly does adopt a particular well meaning and well intentioned persona on here. In good part my chosen, exceedingly effective (note the daily often notably unhinged belligerent commie creep hissy fits) sardonic persona is designed to effortlessly inflame the resident archetypal zombie parrot leftists with sharp, harsh, fact based challenges to their smug bilious treasonous opprobrious vacuous rhetoric.

I note jbm’s usual kind words but must in fairness also point out that I NEVER just emptily “name call” liberals on here. Indeed my selfless centre-right public cyber service reflects a truly humble desire to quietly and munificently niggle the sadly growing concourse of stilted pinko neo-com liars, dissemblers, hypocrites and traitorous leftist scoria on a purely rational, unquestionable, matter of fact basis. Doubtless some of the resident scavenging marxist lite insectivores will noisily and boorishly protest my mildly self deprecating missive with yet more obsessively covetous, manic attempts to rebut my (necessarily rare) connotative honesty this morning.

Greetings today from the Pope - alas, here in Atlanta.

People are not going to believe this, but my favorite voices on this blog (besides my own, of course) are those of a couple of True Blue (or True Red) conservatives - Captain Freedom and Redneck Convert.

The Captain is a dogmatist, to be sure, but he backs it with intellect and rigor - obviously an elite, the Captain represents the best and the brightest of conservatism, a perfect embodiment of the kind of American that Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, and Matt Drudge drool over.

Redneck Convert, on the other hand, is the Georgia Everyman. He never ceases to blame his many struggles - be they personal, professional, or existential - on Those People, and libruls. His consistent homespun downhome message mark him as perhaps the greatest political mind in Georgia since, well, Zell Miller.

In the spirit of the day, a spirit of reconciliation and compromise, The Pope salutes your Best and Brightest, Mr. Wooten.

Well, I been missing for a few days. Truth is, I was in jail. On Friday night, I was at the bowling alley. This little pinhead in the next lane kept rolling the ball at the same time I did. I asked him twicet to stop it. The third time, I gave him a thunk on the back of the head as he started toward the line. It was fun to watch him sliding down that lane. A little harder and he would have been his own strike.

Next thing I know, the police are putting handcuffs on me. It wasn’t my fault. He was probly a librul anyway. Anyway, it’s a fine mess this country is in when a southern man can’t defend his Honor by whacking somebody once in a while. It’s the southern way. We like war, fighting, and drinking. It would be a poor world if those things was outlawed. Anyway, the missus hocked her wedding ring and bailed me out, and here I am. The worst part is I been banned from the bowling alley.

I think it’s a shame these bloggers can’t stand up and use their own name, instead of pertending to be somebody they are not. Like Wooten, I’m not afraid to show myself and stand up for my Honor. It’s the redneck way, and I’m proud to be a Georgia redneck. If a librul asks for a Pepsi instead of a Coke, he ought to be slugged. Why, a librul ought to be whacked just on the general principle of things.

Apologies to Dusty, TFTT, Realist, Markus, jbmlaw, Van and the other good people here for not being able to help them defend southern Honor the past few days.

Mr. Wooten mentions the code duello in his column today. One is reminded of our beloved albeit psychotic ex-Goobernor and ex-Senator career politician and hillbilly Zell Miller and his faux “challenge” to softballer Chris Matthews, Zell knowing full well that there was no danger of it happening.

Realisp and Andi have issued cyberspace challenges to people to meet them here and there over the last few months, a mannish display of courage for a chickenhawk, I would guess…

Perhaps a bigger display of courage would be - enlist in the US Army! No danger of that happening, right ladies?

I would never challenge a Woo-ten Klanner to a duel - one doesn’t duel with a rat or a rabid dog. I hold the Woo-ten Klanners in much the same esteem.

The Luckovich Losers are a fungus, a mold, a plague - I would treat them as such.

Any dialogue that we engage in here should begin with the truth. So let’s start with the self-evident truths already in evidence - most GOPers are paranoid, racist, hatefilled, ignorant, ill-mannered scum of the earth. While most Georgians haven’t realized it, the rest of America is finally waking up.

Thanks to getalife, especially, for fighting the good fight on this blog - I have slacked up a bit here recently, since I found that dealing with the small paranoid stupid minds here was making me sad and weary - I thank my fellow non-Southern Americans for giving this humble honorable highly intelligent man a ray of hope for the future last Tuesday…

Despite false claims that Democrats have no ideas, here is some of the legislation or changes likely to come out of the next Democratic Congress (all good):

  • raising the minimum wage
  • boosting alternative-energy research
  • repealing tax breaks for oil companies
  • beefing up sea-port screening
  • expanding college tuition assistance
  • boosting stem cell research
  • allowing the federal government to negotiate lower drug prices under Medicare.
  • implementing rules changes to limit the influence of lobbyists
  • offering the minority party more input on legislation
  • curbing home-state pet projects in spending bills
  • giving citizens of Washington D.C. a vote on the House floor.
  • Here are a few things unlikely to happen in the next couple of years (also good):

  • Plutocratic judges will no longer be confirmed by the Senate judiciary committee.
  • Propaganda specialist John Bolton won’t be confirmed by the Senate as our U.N. Ambassador.
  • Drilling in the Alaskan Wildlife Arctic Refuge won’t be approved.
  • The majority leaders in Congress won’t listen to anything Newt Gingrich has to say. This is appropriate since Gingrich is, in fact, ridiculous.
  • jbmlaw won’t claim that his pretzel logic is sensible simply because he perceives his opinions to be “popular”.

I think things would be very interesting in here if we were required to “register” first. In other words, in order to get an account to be able to make comments, you had to provide your name, address and phone number - and it would be verified. This list would then be available to all of the others who registered.

That way, people would be a bit more civil. Some people (like tftt in particular) have no moral conscious and take pride at making specifically intentional hurtful (and racist) attacks. If tftt’s name/address/phone number (and others) was available for all to see, I doubt he (she?) would be as hateful. You cuss out the wrong person who happens to live 10 miles away and you just might wake up dead one day.

As it is, little people (like tftt) feel a sense of power on a blog that they don’t have in “real life” due to their physical stature or limited job importance or intellectual ability.

Jim: You have offered up an opportunity here that I welcome with great enthusiasm.

I’ve always admired the participants here who are able to cope with angry comments by injecting either a reserved critique or a humorous invective to disarm their opponents. It always brings one of the huge smirks that TFTT enjoys.

For within that ability, can be displayed self-confidence and discipline which triumphs over all others.

It is an acquired art by which one lives their lives.

A chink in one’s armor is not something that would be found in Marcus Aurelius, who said:

“If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.”

    To Dusty (1101),

It’s a question of where one finds the middle. At this point, yes, I style myself a moderate, but, as I stated above, my political opinions are in a formative stage and require vigorous rebuttal from skilled debaters, such as yourself. I hope that you won’t fold your tents and slink away because my placement of center differs somewhat from yours. I am open-minded by definition — my opinions are embryonic and subject to change as additional information comes in. Prior to last Tuesday, however, I could not have used embryonic in the previous sentence without being accused of being a liberal. Now, we’re free to hold discourse again.

With all due respect, you have a mispelled word in your post today. It’s “doo doo head”, not “do do head”. You’re never a do do head, but you can be a doo doo head every now and them. Hey, it’s a joke.

As for the name calling, those that do that do not earn the respect they probably deserve. It’s hard to take anyone’s opinion seriously when they call someone an abortion bucket escapee or a child molester. Or if they end their post with HUGE F_ OFF LIBERALS SMIRK. I think most don’t mind the smirk, just drop the F_ OFF. There’s just no need for it. And TFTT is not the only one, he’s just an easy one to use as an example.

Speaking of name calling, here are some of the words and phrases that Wooten friend Newt Gingrich previously distributed to his Republican colleagues to educate them on how to, in his words, “define our opponents”:

    “decay… sick… pathetic… lie… liberal… betray… shallow… traitors… radical… corruption… permissive attitudes… destructive… anti-(issue): flag, family, child, jobs… welfare… corrupt… disgrace… taxes… bizarre… cheat… steal… abuse of power… machine… bosses… criminal rights”

Gingrich also instructed his colleagues to “memorize as many as possible” of the following “Positive Governing Words” to apply to Republicans:

    “opportunity…truth… moral… courage… reform… prosperity… crusade… movement… family… we/us/our… candid(ly)… liberty… principle(d)… duty… tough… lead… vision… conflict… freedom… rights… proud/pride… pro-(issue): flag, children, environment… reform… eliminate good-time in prison… strength… choice/choose… protect… confident… incentive… hard work… initiative… common sense”

Eliminate good time in prison? That’s cold.

Anyway, Republicans got the memo, and they’ve been carrying their word lists in their wallets ever since.

    Jim,

It’s pretty disturbing that you choose to single out the bloggers on the left as the ones using the antagonistic text.

Far and away, the most hate-filled and negative comments made are regularly from those who proclaim to be your supporters.

I’ve made several quality, level headed comments to this blog over the past few weeks that typically point out something to the effect of: The GOP is just as bad as the people they ridicule. They are just as morally weak, corrupt and ineffective as anyone you can find on the left. You would be a much better columnist if you would not wear blinders all the time and limit yourself to the party line. There are plenty of problems with government no matter who’s running it to continually point out the foibles of one side

But you choose to cherry pick quotes, events and incidents that make your thoughts look good while making the opposition look bad. That’s the stuff of Limbaugh and EIB - you’re conducting a PR campaign, not writing a column. It’s propaganda, not journalism. Unless you’re pulling punches, I really think that Bookman could run circles around you.

I like that you actually seem to read the blog, but I’m disappointed that you’re so stuck in the mud with your thinking.

As for the language and name calling, if you can’t see who the serial abusers are, then that’s just silly.

    Again about language –

Remember when one of the Shiite’s holiest Mosques was blown up in February, killing 130 worshippers? At the time, it was a widely-held belief that this horrible act had put Iraq on the verge of degenerating into a large-scale civil war (not to be confused with the current, non-descript civil war).

Those of us who watched the Sunday new shows that week might remember seeing Rice, Hadley, and others from the administration talking about this problem on Meet the Press, Fox News Sunday, This Week, etc. That morning, on show after show, administration official after administration official would say the same thing using the same language: “I confident there’s still hope for Iraq because Iraqis have looked into the abyss, and didn’t like what they saw”.

This “looked into the abyss” statement might have made sense at the time. But, the fact that these guys can’t go on television to talk honestly and genuinely about issues without being programmed before they leave the house is insulting. Republicans spend more time developing and rehearsing their spin than they do thinking about and solving problems, and in part, that’s why they lost last week. No doubt, many of them will be returned to Stepford (under Mayor Gingrich) for bug-fixes and upgrades.

CJ offers the anticipated Leftist perspective @ 10:28 • raising the minimum wage - increase unemployment among our poorest and blackest citizens; of course, Leftists don’t care if they increase dependency there • boosting alternative-energy research - increase expenses for all • repealing tax breaks for oil companies – increase expenses only for those who buy oil products • beefing up sea-port screening – raise expenses for anyone who purchases anything from abroad, as the Democrats’ plan will only increase payrolls for the dockworkers’ union • expanding college tuition assistance – manna from heaven, nobody will have to pay for it, as with all Democrat entitlements • boosting stem cell research – even though there is no intelligent reason to believe this will benefit anyone other than those living on the government payroll • allowing the federal government to negotiate lower drug prices under Medicare – comically assumes prices will change and no expenses will increase • implementing rules changes to limit the influence of lobbyists – we highlighted Mr. Murtha’s integrity last week, well-revealed in the Abscam tapes. • offering the minority party more input on legislation – in sharp contrast to the Dem’s position that Mr. Bush will not be allowed to appoint the members of his own team • curbing home-state pet projects in spending bills – Democrats do best when they so listen to true conservatives, and not to “compassionate conservatives” • giving citizens of Washington D.C. a vote on the House floor – maybe a constitutional problem there, since that would give DC an extra electoral vote, disproportionate to its population entitlement Here are a few things unlikely to happen in the next couple of years (also good): • Plutocratic judges will no longer be confirmed by the Senate judiciary committee – I’m sure CJ want more of the judges who gave us Kelo and fewer of those who would oppose it for ideological reasons. • Propaganda specialist John Bolton won’t be confirmed by the Senate as our U.N. Ambassador – ensuring that the Food for Oil fraud will never be brought to justice. • Drilling in the Alaskan Wildlife Arctic Refuge won’t be approved – even though everyone in Alaska is for it, and only the Eastern and Left Coast pinheads oppose it; can you say “remain dependent on Middle East.”. • The majority leaders in Congress won’t listen to anything Newt Gingrich has to say. This is appropriate since Gingrich is, in fact, ridiculous – blogger “Jim’s a Dummy” will be disappointed, but by ignoring good advice the Left’s congressional control will be short-lived .
    • jbmlaw won’t claim that his pretzel logic is sensible simply because he perceives his opinions to be “popular” – typical CJ straw dog, as any logic ties her into pretzels.

Any decent and reasonable points you might make are so few and far between that Jim would do well to bar you from posting. That would bring the level of civil discourse up a hundred notches right off the bat.

TFTT - me pointing out your personal abuse, while also stating in my first post this morning that you were not the only one, is not considered a “personal crusade.” Don’t give yourself that much credit.

You were the easiest one to use as an example because when I scrolled up while writing my post, there you were, abusing away (as were others). And I would say nobody on the left is vastly more personally abusive. You could be in a dead heat with some, but none are downright more personally abusive than you.

Getting me on the defensive? Again, you give yourself too much credit. Just because someone responds to something you say doesn’t mean they are on the defensive. I guess some would look at your response to me today and say you are on the defensive, but I don’t think so. You’re just responding to a post, same as I did earlier and am doing now.

    November 13, 2006 02:24 PM | Link to this

The Captain once again salutes Jim for keeping this lively forum afloat amidst the impolite attacks of the Dumbocrat moonbat leftcomsymp bedwetters.

I hold out hope that Jim will not become too disenchanted at the results of last week’s election. These are the times that try men’s souls, and Jim might well wonder if his reasoned articles have failed to convey the urgency of our times and the need of our nation to turn its gaze back to 1954. Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? Et tu, Father Caughlin?

The results also give the Captain pause to ponder: Were his posts not sufficient to change even one liberal so-called “mind”? Were all of my stalwart efforts behind the might keyboard of Freedom for naught? Have I failed to stiffen the manly resolve of an American public gone all girly with recoil from the thought of a few dead Iraqis?

But no, I realize this is not a problem with the Captain, or even with the foundations of our True Belief. I saw clearly and with horror — the election results prove all too well that bloodthirsty traitors have taken over America, an unholy cabal of lefties, Islamocrytpofascists, the MSM (exluding yourself, Jim, natch), and limp-wristed computer programmers at Diebold who have delivered our nation into the hands of appeasers, mollycoddlers, and immoral homo helpers like the horribly unattractive Nancy Pelosi and that fat slob Ted Kennedy. Just watch these uncouth wretches drag our discourse into the slime where they hold their wine-fueled orgies. The days of polite discourse may well be doomed with these heinous drug abusing sodomites on the loose.

So Jim! Let is not waver in our mission. The time is now for True Belief Brethren and our not-men auxilliary to resist these erroneously elected Democommies as they aim to impose their unholy Papist One Government conspiracy. We are the last bastion of freedom’s girded loins.

Alas, not all of our brethren have fared as well as Jim and the Captain, and we should take a moment to remember one of the fallen brave warriors.

Our Comrade in Belief, the non-American Time for the Truth, clearly has not been able to accept the ugly reality of our dire situation. If his latest posts are any indication, his mind has been blown like Pastor Haggard’s wayward d!ck. A shame, when a staunch defender of freedom falls under the weight of history’s merciless sword. For despite his addiction to adjectives and methamphetamine, he was a true and Godly man. He hated all the right people, and knew that spittle flecked rhetoric is more important than mere gestures like enlisting in the armed forces.

Yes, Time for the Truth would truly be missed, if only he would go away.

You need to know that you don’t hold the KEY to - Patriotism, Religion/Morals, Economic Efficiency, Self Effectiveness, WAR strategies, Parenting Skills, Family Values, etc…

Once you come to turn with the above, you might just earn points with the public. No “one” party or group of people, hold the KEY to even a smiggent of those things.

What we saw last Tuesday is the hopefully the beginning of the implosion of Nixon’s Southern Strategy - many moderate GOPers in every area of the country except Dicksea lost their jobs to Democratics. Chafee of RI is the most prominent on the list of more moderate GOPers that went down to defeat.

Of course, frightwing fundie nutjobs like Santorum, and Talent, and conmen like Conrad Burns were sent packing, and even the people of Virginia couldn’t stomach a racist clown like Senator Macacawitz for another six years. Even Arizonans sent another redneck buffoon packing - saying adios to JD Hayworth.

The majority of the American people are essentially conservative, but they are not all arrogant, self-righteous, intolerant, incompetent and corrupt, like the southern-dominated GOP has become.

I wish the libruls that invade this blog would keep the name of the Revrend Haggard out of this. Like the Revrend Jim Bob Buice, he was a victim of a witch hunt. The Revrend Jim Bob is in jail right now because some do-gooders saw him nekkid in the bushes with a boy and decided he was some kind of pervert. The Revrend Jim Bob says he took off his clothes in order to avoid getting them dirty when he crawled in the bushes to rescue that poor nekkid boy. And I bet the Revrend Haggard was just setting up a sting to expose a meth seller, and you see what he got for his effort.

Anyway, both are good Republicans, and that makes them OK in my book. They are both fighting the godless, worthless, traitor Democrats. But I won’t go in for calling names.

Man, y’all sure can be nasty to each other. That and a lot of the posts sound like the talking head sound bites on the evening news. Let’s face it folks, we Republicans got lost during the last 12 years and just got spanked for it. Good thing is that now the Democrats actually have to put forh some legislation that works for everyone and not just their core constituency. It appears like the middle ground (both Rs and Ds) are drawing closer in their wants, opinions, demands, etc. and the extremists in both parties (and on this blog) had best pay heed. While I hear a lot of promises from the Democrats about what they intend to do, it’s an awfully aggressive agenda for only two short years and I don’t think they’ll get their act together to make it all happen. A lot of the new members of Congress are middle grounders, and they are not going to toe the party line like old-timers will. Look at the brewing storm between Reid and Murtha. So, y’all can blow your horns and wave your banners and puff up your chests, but when the day is done, I don’t think much of anything will really get accomplished. Hate to say it, but the only thing that will really fix our country is the Second Coming. Y’all be good now, hear.

Glad you asked. Especially after my encounter with a liberal Dorkus here over the weekend. The weekend being the only time I am free to post unencumbered. Exception being given to the hindrance of one liberal Dorkus.

Pointing out in a post that tyrranical Islamofacists such as Ahmadenijad choose to blame all internal problems within their own country on the west & America. This allows them to further their own agenda by keeping the stupid people stupid. I suggested that liberals remain clueless as to how they operate. I was then met with this from Dufus Dorkus:

“A clue? Mallory…. so you’re saying it was the liberal with the free government cheese, in the rent subsidized bedroom?”

When I asked him to explain his bigoted remark, I was met with silence, so it appears that Dufus Dorkus remains clueless to date, or exactly what I called him.

    Chicken$hit.

I am free to ascertain that he was standing knee-deep in the stuff and failed to reappear in public because of the stench he had willfully applied to himself.

Wow Getalife, you used your OWN ID,

No, honey bun, you are the one with all the “meds”. The lovely South keeps me happy and being a conservative American tops it off.

Now you be careful in the swamp and don’t wrestle any alligators. If you run into Lauren, don’t wrestle with her either. She’s as mean as a snake.

And you know the terrorists and the bad guys endorsed the Democrats how? Because Tricky Dick and the Great decider told you? Or do you have an open line of communication with them? If the “bad guys” were trying only to influence the election, why hasn’t the killing stopped? Mission Accomplished and all that. If I were a terrorist or bad guy, I’d want to the incompetent boobs who have run things for the last 3 years to remain in power.

Hitllary thinks HitllaryCare is coming back. Don’t bank on it, witch. Your pathetic party doesn’t have enough backing in Congress, especially in the Senate that you narrowly have. (Isn’t it funny how two years ago the RAT pack was saying they “almost” won, and now they are thinking they got a landslide victory?).

Yeah that’s the RAT pack we know best. Fluck up something that works perfectly fine for those 84% of Americans who choose to have a healthcare plan for the 16% who don’t or won’t. Typical. Oh so typical of the good little neoStalinist fascists from the left who want to shove their socialist BS down our throats.

Not even close, witch. You anti-family liberals on the left are being out-reproduced by those on the Right anyway, so we still have some way to go, but we’re heading in the right direction again.

Yeah that’s right liberals, abort yourselves and non-breed yourselves right out of existence. After all, many of you don’t even believe there’s an afterlife.

Please retract your compliment to the Captain, as your kind words put a stain on my reputation.

What you fail to realize as you argue nits with Van is that nearly ALL foreigners seem to hate Our Leader and the Way of Life we hold dear. And the very fact that non-Americans hate Bush is de facto reason enough to know that he is the best thing going for us.

An old saying goes, “Don’t argue with a pig. It just gets you dirty and the pig annoyed.” So, you heroin addicted homo bedwetter Islamoliberal tax and spender…please don’t annoy Van.

Ah, right on shcedule, here comes Markus to demonstrate the courtesy in debate that Jim ascribes to the conservative mindset. My hunch is that Markus spends most of his online time scouring Little Green Snotballs or the Malkin Funtime Asylum where he stokes his impotent rage before flinging feces in Jim’s little debate parlour. At least he has quit beating his wife.

You have quit beating your wife, haven’t you Markus?

No, because THEY&& said so, straight from from al-Jazeera. What, are you idiots in a state of denial over **that now? Trying to ALREADY re-write history before it’s written? Everything these islamogoon freakbeards have said were straight out of the DNC headquarters. Idiots.

    Dear Mr. Wooten:

When I think of ignoring internet trolls, Oscar Wilde’s riposte to Lewis Morris – a minor poet campaigning for Poet Laureate – comes to mind:

Morris: “There is a conspiracy of silence against me! A conspiracy of silence! What should I do?

    Wilde: “Join it.”

Camus, thank you for your opinion. The amount of vitriol and hatred has come from the left for the past four years, not from the right. I just react to it, that’s all. Your very mention of some right-wing blogs and your snide little comments about them bespeaks volumes of your oh-so open minded liberalism. Democrite.

My bet is that Markus has yet to reproduce. I hope to God Himself I am right.

Let’s pray, too, for the poor unfortunate woman that ends up with him. She’ll need it. My hope is that she’s infertile, or pro-choice. No woman should have to live with the hell of being his abused spouse, no child should suffer the shame and abuse of having him for a father.

No wonder his parents died. Life was very unkind to them, giving them such for a son.

You amaze me more and more everyday. So someone who wants to make sure that people have health insurance is a witch. You really are a low-life piece of sh!t. Cheers to you Douchebag for appearing to stick up for the little man and then sticking it to him every chance afterwards.

NO IDIOT, those that want to TAKE AWAY from the majority to give to the minority are witches. Screw up, and it WILL be screwed up in government control, something that works PERFECTLY FINE for 84% of the American people so the remaining 16% who don’t have a healthcare plan is just plain fascist dictatorship potential. Oh, and I wonder how many of those who don’t want to break the bank for a few hundred dollars a month have plasmas, DVD players, spend weekends in bars, have those stupid spinner wheels, and buy $150 sneakers and $400 Starter jackets. I’d really like to know that.
