Free speech, nuclear Iran, Ramsey case
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Thinking Right’s free-for-all Friday. Pick a topic:
• Developers who default on a $6.3 million loan are going to build a $675 million amusement park, hotel, condo and retail project in south DeKalb County? Sure. Show me the money, not the drawings.
• I don’t much care when minor celebrities split, and I’d just as soon they not feel obligated to blurt out their sexual preferences, either. Some information should be parceled out on a need-to-know basis.
• Since our taxes pay for law enforcement, regardless of level, it’s hard to be too upset that Georgia Bureau of Investigation and State Patrol officers are leaving “in droves” to take jobs with the feds or local governments.
• When next we convene in the territory commonly called “suburbia,” we must wring our hands in exaggerated worry about the lack of diversity inside the beltway. Atlanta’s foreign-born population is 9 percent, half that of DeKalb and Cobb counties and a third that of Gwinnett. Y’all can’t keep living in those sterile cocoons and expect to know how to act when exposed to diversity outside the Perimeter.
• No, real conservatives don’t write laws telling high schools when it’s too hot to practice football. That’s busybodiness.
• Headline: “Perdue deal has rich potential.” Or: “Perdue deal a potential bust.” Either’s true. And is anybody surprised that Democrats who laid out the information would then demand a state and federal investigation? Put the U.N. oil-for-food investigative team on it, too.
• True, too: Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres’ assertion in Atlanta that future fighting in Lebanon is inevitable despite the current cease-fire. We all hope, as he declares, that the damage to Hezbollah is probably worse than reported. Otherwise, Hezbollah, Syria and Iran win, and it’s hard to see the Ehud Olmert government surviving. Seventy percent of Israelis oppose the cease-fire.
• Wow! McNair Middle School in DeKalb County has more than 700 serious disciplinary incidents per 100 students — those being vandalism, thefts, fights, drugs, knives and guns. Avondale High School has more than three per student, as do Columbia Middle and Bethune Middle, all in DeKalb. State prisons are bound to have fewer. But I’m torn: praise them for honesty or tell parents of the young’uns to run. Lots of lying goes on when schools are asked to report same.
• Headline: “Insults allowed at Georgia Tech.” Yes. Or free speech. Nobody designated universities to be speech police, in dorms or elsewhere. Nor have they invited a self-anointed group of lawyers and others to police speech in judicial races, as they do. Go away.
• Condos over retail is the urban rage. What’s needed, though, is condos over sanctuaries in downtown churches. Marietta City Council last week rejected a proposal for a 50,000-square-foot megachurch on eight acres near downtown. That is an awful lot of valuable space to go unused for so much of the week.
• Nope, says Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran won’t give up uranium enrichment. “We are fully mastering the nuclear fuel cycle for our peaceful atomic activities,” said he. “No one can take it away from us.”
Sooner or later, four years at the most, Iran will have to demonstrate convincingly that it’s no threat to Israel or its neighbors — or the threat will have to be dealt with. How long do we have to finish the job in Iraq? Until the day before Iran has nuclear weapons capability.
• “Sustainable” applies to development, not transportation. Or so we might surmise from the news that MARTA officials, with a once-in-a-decade surplus of $19 million, wish to spend it expanding service. Which, of course, will be cut when the inevitable hard times return. Save the surplus.
• Sandy Springs gets its parks from the county for $16,000. A fair price. A fair resolution. But as always the case with the Fulton County Commission, it couldn’t come without a dose of political hate, spite and envy.
• Is life fair? It’s indiscriminately not. Patsy Ramsey is proof. She lost a child and then endured years of entirely unwarranted suspicion. And sadly, she’s no longer here for the acknowledgment she’s due.
• Jim Wooten is the associate editorial page editor. His column runs Fridays, Sundays and Tuesdays.

With respect to your point:
“No, real conservatives don’t write laws telling high schools when it’s too hot to practice football. That’s busybodiness.”
Since we are starting school in the middle of the summer now, the heat factor, more and more, must be a focus of consideration. Good, responsible high school football coaches take this into consideration and schedule practices and practice routines appropriately. The “idiots,” who think they are auditioning for a job with the NFL, do not. It is for this small minority that we have to have rules! Still, I would rather the Georgia High School Association issue the governing standard as opposed to the Georgia General Assembly. The latter body has a tendency to embrace a much higher degree of temperature with all the “hot air” that emanates from them!

Ga. Tech’s speech police are quitting in droves for Federal censorship positions. In Iran, if students dont make death threats they get arrested. Is that irony, or a paradox? (which reminds me, I need to get a second opinion on my Pilondial Cyst).
I dont care much when minor countries split from the world community, and I’d just as soon they not feel obligated to blurt out their nuclear preferences either..
700 disciplines for 100 students? That’s like when the 16 million votes for the “Think you can Dance” finale actually came from only 147 viewers. Speed dialing is not pretty. Click fraud much? Here, the parallel is that TFTT and Realist make up 30% of the hundreds of blogs each day. (Those two journalists only take time off five times a day to face east and chant prostratively) Ahkmed and Hahkmed, you’re busted.
The only speech that needs policing is Bush’s, who invents a crisis for poll points, and who will inevitably goad N. Korea and Iran into making a big mistake. Mr. Bush: STFU! You cant do anything to either country, all your eggs are in the Iraqi desert, hard boiled and rotten.
Bush is acting like he knows he’ll have an endless supply of US troops. Do I smell a draft this close to miller time? (dont reach for that one, Ahkmed, it’s WAY over your head).

Good morning,
Thanks to the Bush doctrine, axis of evil speech and the numerous nuclear deals with other countries, Iran will go nuclear and the world will allow it.
Just another disaster caused by this administration. Deal with it.
When I played football, three a day practices in the summer heat was how to get into shape. Nobody died, so the deaths happening now may involve something else.
The nut confessing to the murder of the Ramsey girl does not add up. Methinks he is looking for his fifteen minutes.

The spate of young athletes dying in the heat of action is merely the inevitable culling of the gene pool. It is a shame that they should die so young, but it is the way of nature.
But to stop the summer 3-a-day practices (which I used to enjoy until that damnable cyst acted up) is liberal bedwetting nonsense. We must stay the course and continue these practices, or the loss of life of these young gridiron warriors loses meaning.

Do megachurches pay taxes? Maybe that had something to do with the Marietta city council’s decision. I believe that the tax man was also behind Sonny’s decision to buy swampland in Florida. It was reported that the purchase was primarily a tax shelter to avoid capital gains. The issue is that he bought it from a guy that Sonny appointed to the board of a State agency who happens to be a big contributor to Sonny’s politcal campaign and the Georgia Republican party.

“No, real conservatives don’t write laws telling high schools when it’s too hot to practice football. That’s busybodiness.”
Doesn’t this have to do with school start dates? Aren’t these “good responsible coaches” at the mercy of these schedules?
It is unfortunate that most of Georgia insists on ending the school year on May 25 and starting up early in August. Our neighboring states are figuring this out, and the costs, both to our economy and in human life, is inexcusable and unnecessary.
There is no reason not to push the school calender forward a few weeks into early June and start no earlier than the third week in August (if not later).
The arguments that I’ve heard insisting on a May 25th end date are:
Students have to take their final exams before Christmas (“winter”?) break
Semesters have to be of equal length.
How it is that the vast majority of the country manages to overcome these hurdles with demonstrable success?
This is not about irresponsible football coaches. It is about educators and bureaucrats making unwise and unhealthy decisions.

When I think about the world reaction to the development of nuclear weapons in Iran, I think of Sir Winston Churchill’s definition of an appeaser, “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last.” I think that Iran (and Syria for that matter) have demonstrated in this Hezbollah fracas the lengths to which they will go to fulfill their rabid desire to destroy the country of Israel. A surrogate army today and perhaps the “Hammer of God” tomorrow. Someone has to stand up to these would-be regional tyrants to prevent a new holocaust in the deserts of Palestine.

Losing Pakistan
WASHINGTON - A U.S.-backed plan to defeat Islamist militants in Pakistan’s autonomous tribal areas has backfired badly, and the Bush administration is working with Pakistan to come up with a new strategy to defuse the insurrection.
Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf “sees that what he was doing wasn’t working,” said one U.S. official who’s familiar with the new plan. “He really has a mess.”
Once again, just another disaster caused by this administration. Deal with it.

Is Bush this Century’s Herbert Hoover who was blamed for the Depression?
Is the Islamic Revolution using Bush as a scape goat?
It’s just possible that Bush stumbled into the exact correct move by invading Iraq and forcing the jihad to show it’s cards sooner than they’d otherwise done so. (awkward phrasing much?)
There’s no question that the Jihad is upon us, and aimed at Israel and the USA, and we have a serious, real warning earlier than we would have had had we not invaded Iraq (ugh).

Vans to and from the station would be a good start - I happen to work near the station and Buckhead has a free bus that does that, they go all around Buckhead. For me, and for most people I know, the biggest problem is the stations aren’t near any of our homes, and the drive to get to the station is half our daily commute, in fact, for me it is the worst traffic. The trains need to extend further.

We northsiders will only have to wait 25 more years for the train to extend to Alpharetta. In the mean time we are asked to drive to a park-ride lot to catch a bus to take us to a train that drops us off nowhere near our job. I have done the park-ride, bus-to-train routine but I worked walking distance from the train station. While it took a bit longer than driving, I was able to read and study for an exam that helped me land a better job. If MARTA could at least get people from the train station to their job we might get more people interested in MARTA.

However, the problem with the christian right’s hold on power is that they view American Freedom with the same enmity that the terrorists do.

The corrupt hustler B. Campbell has one weekend of freedom left … shame the sullen bigot A Young wont be joining him in the big house. Young has been making racist remarks against non-blacks and then only grudgingly apologising since the shameful day that the narcissistic joke Carter appointed him well over his head to a job he simply couldn’t do!! Still at least this racist moron has some poxy road named after him in yet another mindless example of the complete lack of diversity that informs black gesture politics.!
Diversity is a nauseating micky mouse notion that increasingly grates with and amongst free thinking folks. The very idea that you have to be hectored and be told that something like diversity is acceptable just shows how nasty, smug and intolerant liberals are. Folks are folks - no one needs to stridently tell me, and I assume just about all other conservatives, to stridently and with the sneering implication that if I dont accept someone just because they are different I’m a racist. Conservatives are way too tolerant enough of liberal Bush hating nutters - now that is Bhudda like acceptance of diversity.
Nice to see Dekalb schools are undeniably displaying the thuggishness that so much of the area is plagued by. Not much diversity in parts of Dekalb though - and NO “honest” finger pointing by McKinney types about just who is responsible for the local yoof thuggishness.
Funny how its only the simpering poofs and the third world etc that get free speech at GA Tech. Although I’m not religious at all surely christians who are the largest religious domination by fa in GA and the US should be allowed their free speech too - but the diversity hating poofs get real uppity whenever any one doesn’t slavishly accept any of their screeched demands. Same for white conservatives and jews, they are largely denied free speech too and are quietly discriminated against by certain racist student groups. Just look at the vile pantheon of far left student terrorist third world loving groups that are arraigned against them, in the name of the so called palestinians and other jew hating mohammedan fascists and latin type racist groups like la raza!!
Still at least the AJC is always fair and balanced - just like Fox News —- ooops almost forgot the AJC is a far left Bush hating rag with only one notable resident token conservative - out of how many lefty diversity loving hacks?

If that is true, why do they attack only America and America’s allies? There are many countries far “freer” than the USA. This country is actually rather repressive (no matter how much they convinved you in elementary school that we are “free.”)
The only motivations for the terrorists are political and personal gain, the exact same motivation for the leaders of the USA.

A few observations:
The Ramsey’s lost a child and went through years of pure, unadulturated He11 from the news media and police.
Unless you have had first-hand knowledge of an item and then seen it on the news, you don’t really understand how bad news reporting is.
Diversity my big ‘ole white hairy a$$. Any more questions?
I can’t help it… Anyone who thinks diversity is a good thing should read “The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire.” Something about history repeating itself comes to mind.
I too can’t understand the news media’s fixation on celebrities and who they’re screwing at the moment. Plus, maybe it’s a generational thing, but I have never heard of most of these people.
Last I heard, Iran’s a soveriegn nation and has every right to develop nuclear energy. Given that the US foreign policy has flip-flopped about six times in the last thirty years and we won’t put a leash on Israel, I can’t blame Iran for developing nuclear weapons either.
Finally, - When looking at the school violence reports, you only have to look at two statistics to tell if administration is lying, Fighting and Battery. If a Principal reports 100 fights and 0 Battery, he’s lying. Worse than that, he is not dealing with those who violently attack other students. Schools today have adopted a “Don’t ask and you don’t have to make a decision” policy regarding fighting. It’s just easier to suspend them both, irregardless of who was the aggressor.

I’ve been slapping myself upside it after I realized that back in the 60s at Parris Island, when the D.I was beating the crap out of me, I could have stopped it by dropping my drawers and showing the guy my pile-on cyst.
Anyway, I know the correct answer to the rapid transit problem is to get the guvmint out of the travel business. That would be what JMBlaw and TFTT would say, and they are my idols. They are never wrong. Just ask them. Show me a bus and I’ll show you a traffic jam, is what I say. The UK has reasonable suspicion as its terrorist arresting standard - ACLU nazi types this reject the notion that the UK is in any freer than the US. The Ausssies have a pretty sensible policy on illegal immigrants which again the ACLU nazis despise… Singapore is a benign dictatorship which allows little or no freedoms. New Zealand has a pretty white immigration policy and KIwis hate poofs as much as aussies do.

Jim Wooten -
Obviously we need Jimmy Carter and Andy Young to bow and kowtow to the Iranians to win them over. With their impressive success stories, we can never tell.
I am sure the Algiers Accords that Jimmy signed would not stop him from helping this country (yeah, right) -
“The United States pledges that it is and from now on will be the policy of the United States not to intervene, directly or indirectly, politically or militarily, in Iran’s internal affairs.”
How could a sitting President accept and sign these pledges?

TFTT,
Still waiting on an answer to my challenge from yesterday. 21 hours and counting.
“Inconsistency is the author of revelation.” (Let the great English Warrior tell you what English thinker and author said that. Any good Brit would know. I do after all.)
Why no response? It’s because you don’t know because you are a fake, isn’t it!
As of 1:09 pm yesterday what I have been saying for weeks is now a reality. I now possess in my grubby little fingers, (or widdle as both you and UBK like to say, but that’s another story) incontrovertible proof that you are a fake. Perhaps now you’ll come clean and drop this meager and pathetic false Brit act.
But then again you’ll probably tell me the question means nothing and call me a f*.
And BTW, you seem awfully obsessed with calling people homosexuals. (Me yesterday, Harold today) You know they’ve done studies on homophobes like you where its been shown that you obsess on who’s gay to cover up your own sexual predilections. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Ah well. Enjoy your eight to ten hours on the blog today. It’s such pretty day outside but I guess you are so desperate for attention that your fake-Brit, bad Ann Coulter act is all you have in life. I mean who can enjoy the outdoors with there are sycophants to pander to, Hannity/Coulterisms to spout, names to call, billingsgate to spew and fake lives to lead.
I’m out. Bring on the bile. (And the fake Brit-speak, remarkably absent so far this morning.)
Love in Jeebus,
Anal

Van would have to ask the people who make the freest nations lists how the USA is less free / more repressive than other nations.
For a few quick points, though in the USA supposing you have to take a leak. You can be arrested for doing it wrong.
Supposing you’d like to grow a pot plant and smoke some dope? Off to prison with you!
Supposing you want to get a suntan on your female boobies at the beach? Off to prison with you!
Supposing you do not wish to pay for wars? Off to prison with you.
Supposing you want to ride a bicycle instead of drive a car? Too bad! Death penalty.
Don’t care for cutting your grass? You will be paying fines and the government will cut your grass.
Want to collect rainwater from your gutters and use it to water your plants? Illegal!

That idea of an amusement park in south DeKalb is amusing alright. It reminds me of that amusement financial disaster (can’t even remember the name of it) near Turner Field that included putt-putt, video games, and a restaurant & bar for the parents. That was supposed to bring all the suburbanites back into the city. Yeah, like Gwinnett, North Fulton, Cobb, and Fayette don’t already have those things. Yeah, like suburbanites were going to drive back into the city, pay to park, and constantly deal with aggressive panhandling. Sheer brilliance from the Atlanta City Council. Speaking of inside vs. outside the city, that’s an excellent point on the “non-diversity” of being ITP. One of the greatest feel-good liberal lovewords of all time is “diversity.” We must celebrate diversity. We must enjoy being surrounded by those that are different than us. We must learn that there are others who are not like us and share their feelings or get into their skin and feel what it’s like to be them. Oh gag me. Nobody complains that whites have an extreme % misrepresentation ITP relative to Georgia’s overall population. Therefore, diversity must exclude whites in diversity as an inclusive group, at least from a liberal perspective. Clear as mud. Regarding the UN oil-for-food scandal, if the liberal left would spend just 10% of it’s time squawking about that instead of Halliburton, the truth might come out. If the New York Slimes would put those little busybody loonbat reporters and investigators to task on it like they do on anything the Bush administration does, the truth might come out. But of course, the UN is the left’s MIA ineffective deadbeat daddy in this nation and around the world, so like an abused wife, they’ll keep coming back for more of nothing. Speaking of the worthlessness of the UN, resolution 1559 which stated in 2004 that “all Lebanese and non-Lebanese militias must be disbanded” was a complete failure and was not enforced. Now exactly what kind of idiots out there are going to trust Lebanon to stay true to their word again? Oh, of course: appeasement Sheehan liberalites and the lapdog UN. Yeah, appeasement really works. Once again, Israel is going to get attacked, and once again they are supposed to just sit there and take it. I give this fake “peace” less than a year before something big happens, and you can bet a liberal EBT card it won’t be the Israelis that start it, as usual. So DeKalb county schools have well more than one serious incident per student. I wonder what Jihad McKinney has to say about that and what her plan of action is? Oh wait, she’s no longer in power. My bad. Ok, how long before DeKalb politicians and other hacks are going to blame this train wreck of the future of young people on the rich flight suburbanites? Free speech indeed on college campuses. Typical liberalism as mentioned yesterday and attempting to shut out the voice of opposition all because it may GASP! offend someone. Talk about breeding a nation of spineless wimps. It’s happening right here on this blog. Our resident liberal ID thief is trying to drag this blog down into nothing but insults in the hope it will eventually be removed, solely for the purpose of course to get rid of conservative thoughts and ideas. I’ve seen this tactic tried for years by the loon left. That’s not unlike the loonbat left trying to sabotage the war in Iraq just to get Republicans booted out of power. Aren’t radical liberals such lovely people? So Mahmoud said “no one can take it away from us” regarding nuclear production, huh? We’ll see what Israel has to do about it in a few years just like they did a quarter century ago. Leave Iran’s nukes for Israel to deal with. Oh, and be prepared for the loonbats to come out crying and pounding sand, again, when Israel does… again. The monstrosity of MARTA knows no boundaries. From spending outlandishly on convention trips to Las Vegas to offering up a GREAT DEAL! on taking 25 years to expand the north rail line another whopping five miles, MARTA prides itself on being a private entity run like the City of Atlanta, or the Fulton County Commission. If you live on the north side in unincorporated Fulton, ask not what your county can do for you, and learn to like it. After all, you are that evil “rich” person. But if you happen to be a rich limousine liberal upperdemocrust like John Kerry Heinz or George Soros, it’s ok to have money. Sometimes the stench of liberal hypocrisy instrudes even PC monitors. Liberalism = Stinkovision
The McKinneyites can trash the J-E-W-S seven ways to the Sabbath, but the minute a white male like Mel Gibson does it, all hell breaks loose in liberal journalism la-la land. But what else do you expect from the hypocrisy of Wally World’s Wild Ride Of Looney Liberalism?

Hi Jim. To respond to your topics today:
Diversity - we’ve taken it way too far in the US. There’s a point where diversity turns into divisiveness - that’s where we are now. We as a country need to find more in common with each other; not more to be diverse about.
As for the high school atheletes, I agree with a few of the earlier posters that this could probably be caused by kids in bad shape, but also by starting school so early. I like the idea of running school through June and then picking back up in September. Somebody needs to take up that cause……
I don’t care to hear anything about the hollywood stars and their messy sexcapades and marriages. They are setting bad examples for our children and are part of the moral decay of our society. The press should just stop reporting on it.
As for the church in Marietta, I agree with deegee that it has to be about taxes. The city could get much more from taxes on condos than from a church. Another form of imminant(sp) domain I guess….
I share your mixed feelings about the school reports of discipline. I think the schools that are being honest, or the schools that have a tougher discipline policy should be admired. Until all schools have the same discipline policies (and we can prove they all follow them the same way), these reports should not be considered an accurate indicator of school problems. Maybe the ones with the high incidences are better because the principals actually take action to stop the problems. (Just throwing that out there - not sure if I believe it)
As for the Ramsey’s, I’m still not sure that the parents were totally innocent. Even if that guy they have now did do it, he claims he was in love with this 6 year old girl. As a parent of 2 girls and 2 boys, I would know if my 6 year old was hanging out with some 30 year old long enough to be “in love” with them. I’d also be more in tune with the kid. At 6 years old, the kid talks constantly, and if they have an admiration for someone, the parent knows it. And when your 6 year old has a strange admiration for some 30 year old that’s not even related to the family or a neighbor, you, the parent, should be looking into that pretty heavily.
Finally, Van and TFTT, you are 2 of the most intelligent guys that post here. I admire both of you a lot. Harold is a worthless piece of trash that posts stupid, non-related comments, hurls insults and makes stuff up. He’s not worth your time.

Yes. The resolutions also granted any member nation the authority to go to war if any were violated. And these violations went CLEAR back to the end of Gulf War I in 1991. You can turn resolution after resolution to no avail. That’s why the UN needs to be doing nothing but handing out cheeseburgers in Somalia, although they seem to not even be able to handle THAT too well either.

Mark the Lib,
In trying to work within the accepted and time honored way, our President went to the leftie, bedwetting UN. They then passwd UN resolution 1441, telling Saddam to obey or else.
We knew that this was a hopeless task and a waste of time.
But to appease the left that is the way it was done.
If Bush had not gone to the UN first, then the socialists in our Congress would have raised a howl heard around the nation.
This President has tried to work within the normal guidelines better than the last jerk. He by-passed the UN in the former Yugoslavia, and desided to go it alone, dragging Nato behind him.
Talking to you lefties is exhausting, do it by the book, you cry foul, do it on your own, you cry.
Try to connect the dots, you cry, don’t connect the dots good enough and you cry.
All the left does is cry about it not being how they would do it, but they never say how they would do it. Their response is to mouth some pretty platitutes and high ideas, but no substance.

Good afternoon, all. Full week, and little time to pop in. I disagree with almost everything Gitmobound has said, but the 1:20 post was half-brilliant. “Outsourcing diplomacy” is a total waste of time - much worse than mere diplomacy; that sounds like a broad indictment of the UN (issued by one of the accursed leftists!)
When I see such clear thinking in one of our leftist friends, I feel the obligation to acknowledge it.
Also, I’ll ditto everything Barbara said today. I don’t understand why the leftists complain when TFTT responds to their venom. TFTT generally does not initiate a harsh exchange, but responds as Israel to Hezbollah. If you leftists are truly peace loving, you might do well to lay off TFTT (and just appreciate the clever use of language, as I appreciate it.) TFTT and I don’t agree on every issue, but it is impossible for me to not enjoy the posts.

I’ll be fair and tell you my question was prompted by the President saying this in regards to the wiretapping issue:
[Those who applaud the decision regarding wiretaps] “simply do not understand the nature of the world in which we live”.
As to whether or not “we liberals” have a plan on this, of course we do — take the rationale for the program to the FISA court and get the d@mned warrant, if the program is needed. It just might be that the President is correct and we need to have this wiretapping effort. I don’t know about that, I don’t pretend to be an expert on the program or it’s goals. I do know we are supposed to be a nation of laws, which no individual is above, not even the President. It’s really very simple: follow the laws of this country and then let our legal system, including the NSA do their jobs.

It is interesting that we as American (conservative, Jewish, Christians etc.) have decided the moral rime of the world. Ever day we spend billions of dollars developing nuclear weapons and strengthen our military. We have followed our knowledgeable president into military action we cannot win. That same president allowed Israeli to invade a sovereign nation under the pretence it was attempting to recover a kidnap solider. (What ever happen to that solider?) We do all of this and we wonder why the Muslim nations are seeking nuclear weapons?
If I understand religious teaching correctly did not that Jesus guy teach peace and love thy neighbor. Does that belief only hold true for white Christian or Jewish males. We keep stating we are looking to end terrorism and bring peace to the world. But actions speak louder than words. Our actions (I’m an American too) reflect more axis of evil than any other third world country. America could drop a bomb on anyone of these countries and wipe them out. (Oh that would destroy the oil).
So let’s address the real issues in America like the economy is going down the drain (OGC projecting a 1.7 billion dollar deficit. The tax breaks are not working). Auto makers are shouting down plants. The housing market which fueled the economy through this recession is cooling down. Our border is not secure thus allowing terrorist to walk into the state anytime they want. And last but not less the president has two more years.

Seeing through,
You are correct. Another example is the traitorous judge who wishes to take away Our Leader’s GOd-given right to wiretap whoever the hell he damn well pleases, because it was just this kind of effort that prevented the gel-toothpaste plot of last week from murdering thousands of innocent White Christian victims. (not to mention the incidental people who would have been harmed)
This judge, who foolishly believes that the rule of law should apply to the Leader Bush, is nothing more nor less than a traitor and is objectively pro-terror. That she is a weak-kneed woman is no suprise; nor, that she is a Dem appointee (what is it with these appeaser-crats?) and is of a darker race. In fact, I think the Circuit Court may in fact be an al Queda sleeper cell, cleverly put in place by the traitor President Clenis.
Our President Bush is above, beyond and greater than any silly laws that might bind his hands in the global war on terror. Wooten and his Governor pals who wish to usurp the National Guard, take note.

You are correct, the laws, by the book, as written, technically are being broken by what the NSA is doing. The judge who wrote her decision simply did what she had to do, follow the letter of the law. The problem is we need congress and all branches to work TOGETHER to understand that the current situation calls for changes in our laws and in the way we do things today. We have never faced this before in our history.
The FISA warrants WILL NOT WORK. You cant stand before a judge and ask for a warrant without a name, telelphone number, location, address, nothing. They are simply monitoring foreign overseas conversations/traffic listening for key words, like BROOKLYN BRIDGE (which btw would be gone, blown to bits if not for the NSA wiretaps). I’d rather find out who these people are BEFORE thier bombs go off, not after.

This scriptural passage from the Book of Monty:
Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, “Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.” And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals … Now did the Lord say, “First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.”

“Because after all, without life, what is the point?”
Common sense conservatism at its best. This is why Seeing Through and I are in the vanguard of the fight to protect our way of life through trenchant Keyboarding. I think it’s fortunate that we have evolved since 1851 and the comments of Patrick Henry, and thus not forced to choose between liberty and death. We can have liberty and life, if only we could stop the squabbling and infighting to see how best to accomplish it.

AN ACTUAL MIRACLE … HELL MUST HAVE FROZEN OVER (if you believe in hell)
The racial huckster Sharptongue has actually stated the blindingly obvious … maybe things will hopefully meaningfully start to change for black yoofs if more racial spoils types like him keep repeating the same thing many conservatives have been saying for years!!
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Many black youths fall under a spell of “gangster mentality,” preventing them from becoming leaders and making a positive impact in politics, the Rev. Al Sharpton said.
The civil rights activist faulted Hollywood and the record industry for making “gangsterism” seem cool and acceptable.
“We have got to get out of this gangster mentality, acting as if gangsterism and blackness are synonymous,” Sharpton said Thursday at the annual conference of the National Association of Black Journalists.
“I think we’ve allowed a whole generation of young people to feel that if they’re focused, they’re not black enough. If they speak well and act well, they’re acting white, and there’s nothing more racist than that.”

Another train wrecked blog thanks to the freakshow ususal loonbat liberals. Lovely. However it looks like my fellow right-wing breathern were able to wrestle it back from the evil sea monster liberal extremists.
Flyrod says that the housing market is down. Yeah, that’s bound to happen with sequential record growth over time, kinda like Clinton’s so-called dotcom bust.
Flyrod says that companies like Ford are laying off thousands. Yeah, that’s what happens when you are forced to sign on to overinflated wages and benefits and pensions. That’s what happens when you miscalculate (in Ford’s case) the market and spend too much R&D on SUVs and trucks. That’s what happens when you don’t have a lot of excess funds for R&D because you are tied to the aforementioned union sham costs.
All in all, it appears it’s been a great day for Conservatives on this blog, ESPECIALLY the attempt to make my 11:47am post (sorry for that run-on 11:42am disaste) a racist post. Good job freakshow loonbat liberal mutliple ID Thief from hell!

Let’s try this again. I asked the question yesterday (again), but all the big-talking conservatives avoided the question like they thought they’d turn into Hillary if they answered it.
Question: Why did your God Bush order the U.S. to attack Iraq and result in the death of 1000’s of U.S. soldiers? Whenever I post this, tftt, Ugo, and others immediately get defensive and cry “what are you going to do about it now?” No, the question to be answered first must be why did we attack? Then, you can answer what to do now.
Bush sent 1000’s of U.S. soldiers to die for absolutely no reason and he doesn’t have the balls to admit he was wrong and bring them back. How many more U.S. soldiers must he murder before he calls them back?
It’s a simple question - why can’t you “bright” republicans come up with an honest answer? I guess because you know there is no answer - it was a dumba$$ decision by a dumba$$ president.
