Hey, cartoon boy drew his first “global warming” hysteritic.

Is it a self portrait?

~~~~~
Typical whiny liberal only the surrender monkeys can admire:
{{{{Australian leader bashes lead-up to war, blah, blah, blah, US of KKKA sucks, blah, blah, mookie good, blah, blah.-Urinal/DNC}}}}
{{{{…in an interview published Monday in The Sydney Morning Herald, Howard said he was “baffled” by the decision to withdraw troops, adding he would have shifted them into a training roles.}}}}
Yep, ignore the successes of Iraq, stab your predecessor in the back and flee from the battlefield like a sniveling spineless coward, this guy really is a lib.
~~~~~

{{{{Pet owners face hard decisions in lean economy- Diana Bardsley wiped tears from her eyes as she recalled taking food off her plate to feed her beloved spaniel Hunter and two Siamese cats. Her greatest fear: that she could be forced to surrender the animals as she struggled to stretch her food stamps and Social Security income to meet the escalating cost of living, boo hoo hoo, sniff sniff- Urinal/DNC}}}}

Boy, I sure can’t wait to surrender myself to the government and all the benefits they will lavish upon me, man, I’ll be rich!

Dimwit, mouth breathing, suckas-s liberals writing stories about how lame their promises really are.

Geez.

{{{{We’ve allowed casuists, left politicians, gullible and sensationalist journalists, and a few dodgy, grant-hungry scientists to stampede us into hysteria about global warming, or in the new preferred phrase “climate change” (which is intellectually incoherent — climate is always changing), on the basis of nothing more than wild speculation dreamed up by computer jockeys who couldn’t tell us whether or not it will rain tomorrow if their lives depended on it. An increasing number of scientists are coming forward to pin the tail on the global warming donkeys, but no one much seems to be paying attention.}}}}

Yeah, what he^^ said.

{{{{Our May has been unusually cold, too. We’ve had a few days that were actually above average, but many of them were well below. Right now our average temps are supposed to be 72. There have been days that we were over 20 degrees below our avg. for that day. Our trees were late in budding and our flowery bushes were very late this year. Even our tulips started blooming late. Our trees still aren’t in full bloom. But that’s ok cause everything is starting to get color around here.}}}}

Morons.

{{{{The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service concluded that a proposal for Lake Lanier and other Chattahoochee River reservoirs to store more water and release less will not be a threat to endangered and threatened fish and mussels downstream.-Urinal}}}}

It’s really comforting to know that they at least considered We The People when they made this decision.

The questioner jokingly asked the vice president if he and Obama were going to have a family reunion, to which Cheney replied he would "have no objections" though he said he doubted Obama would want one - "certainly not before November."

Then came the offensive punch line. Cheney explained that during the course of researching his family lineage for Lynne's memoir "Blue Skies, No Fences" last year, he learned there were Cheneys on both his father's and his mother's side of the family. There was a Richard Cheney on his mother's side, the vice president said.

"So I had Cheneys on both sides of the family and we don't even live in West Virginia," Cheney quipped.">>

It must be nice to retire and finally be free to speak your mind. Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, the man who led American ground forces in Iraq from 2003-2004, has released a new book– titled Wiser in Battle: A Soldier’s Story – that takes aim at the Bush administration with some of the strongest criticism to date from a former Iraq commander.An excerpt from NPR:In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, I watched helplessly as the Bush administration led America into a strategic blunder of historic proportions. It became painfully obvious that the executive branch of our government did not trust its military. It relied instead on a neoconservative ideology developed by men and women with little, if any, military experience. Some senior military leaders did not challenge civilian decision makers at the appropriate times, and the courageous few who did take a stand were subsequently forced out of the service……It’s gonna be hard to accuse General Sanchez of hating the troops.

AND

Retired Air Force Gen. Merrill A. McPeak, was a Republican, a former chief of staff of the Air Force, a former fighter pilot who flew 285 combat missions, and a veteran who campaigned for Dole in ‘96 and Bush in ‘00. This year, he’s supporting Obama — and isn’t at all impressed with McCain. “It doesn’t take very long to uncover national security issues that McCain is weak on,” McPeak said. “For McCain to think he has a monopoly on virtue in the national security issue is going to be shown a pretty flimsy idea very quickly.”

When the liberals apply their mindless ideas to problems that do not even exist, guess who gets hurt:

{{{{The poor already face energy costs as a much higher percentage of their income than wealthier Americans. While most Americans spend about 4% of their monthly budget on heating their homes or other energy needs, the poorest fifth of Americans spend 19%. A 2006 survey of Colorado homeless families with children found that high energy bills were cited as one of the two main reasons they became homeless.}}}}

Congratulations, you POS.

VP Cheney delivered that line at The National Press Club. And just as at Trinity Church, the audience laughed and clapped.

What’s good for the goose -

BTW - ITN - you may want to link the Vanity Fair article on Pres Clinton. It was along the same lines as the NY Times article on Sen McCain - unnamed, anonymous sources, innuendo, etc etc.

I wonder now if the issue isn’t so much a “liberal press” or a “conservative press” as it is an “incompetent press” - be that reporters, editors or both.

ITN 8:12

I’d really like it if instead of broad generalizations, Gen Sanchez would give the names of those senior military officers who gave unwanted input and were forced to retire. Some specifics of the prescient input would be nice, too.

Hey AJC, what rocket scientist wrote this gem? Guess what… They also spend a higher pecentage of their food stamp money on pet food than wealthy Americans do to! Wow! Imagine the statistics involved with that revelation. I hope that study wasn’t done with government grant money. Today’s cartoon was the best in a while. I always wondered about the guys who carry “the end is near” signs. People really believe that. If you march around any city in the world with a properly translated “end is near” sign, you’ll get some followers. You’d get a few more followers if you hold a “beginning of end is near” sign. Of course you’d get everybody if you hold a “end of the beginning is near” sign, and that’s the best bet to make. (Why couldn’t the Redwings hold on with 30 seconds left? Penguins net was empty. If you watch the last minute, Detroit had plenty of opportunities to get the puck back there, I hated last night). On television, doomsday prophets abound, and people send them donations. Good old fashioned fire and brimstone! That’s what this campaign needs. YOu have to wonder how far off message a priest can get if he improves a bit like the Hillary/Black man bit. What does this guy think he’s gotta do to caucus, anyway? It’s getting very very difficult to justify supporting the lunatic fringe of the left when they obviously have just as many pointed heads as the rabid right. Moderation, people. Sure, lets keep taxes low, but lets not spend what little there is on arbitrary wars. I think Bush should start talking about bicycling to work. I’m serious. Cities should have bicycle lanes on the expressways into town for a couple of hours in the morning to get people downtown. They should make the penalty for running over a cyclist very steep, say, a 10 gallon of gas penalty, and they should lower the speed limit then to 35 mph and use cameras to enforce with another 10 gallon of gas penalty. That’ll slow the cowboys down. Aw it’s gonna be great folks, cause there’s SO many things we can do. We’re going to open the abandoned coal mines to tourists. We’re going to sell homeowners canaries in cages to keep in their bathrooms to warn them if their sewer is backed up or if that breakfast burrito your husband ate backfired on him. Yes, people, we can have change. but change itself isn’t enough. No. We need hope for a better tomorrow! And that’s where underfunded pension plans for judges comes in. Lets get all the judges angry at society by cutting their retirement plans off at the knees, (read Wooten today), that way, if any of us appear before a magistrate for even

ITFS,

Watch out for the law of unintended consequences in your crusade against media consolidation. While I agree that a certain amount of independence is required, once you force each outlet to maintain it’s full cost structure you’ll find them cutting costs where they can which likely be in the news gathering arena. Then you’ll have your Utopian “free” media that all get their stories from a very few sources.

I didn’t really want you to post the Vanity Fair - just kinda’ tweakin’ ya’ - I do not have much use for articles focusing on the personal lives of public figures. Unless they’ve made their “virtue” a campaign issue, that is.

The article strikes me a lot like McClellan’s book - lots of repeats, nothing new. Just a new author’s take on the matter.

Regarding Gen McPeak - Obama would be well served to get guys like him (and there are more as his advisors) out front, soon and often.

He makes a good point about the “image” that accrues to McCain because of his past career. But one can really argue a military career - at his level, with his background - makes his national security views as valid as, say, all those guys the anti-Iraq crowd parades because “they’re vets who served in Iraq.” Does the guy working the GM SUV factory line have, by default, a valid opinion about the US vehicle market?

RW,

Like you said earlier about the Vanity Fair article - anyone who hasn’t been asleep for the past 16 years - same goes for McClellan - or in his case, asleep for 8 years - McClellan isn’t saying anything new to us.

Can it be proven? Nope. Do I think what he’s doing is despicable? Yes. Not because he said what he said, but WHEN he’s chosen to say it and it’s obvious he’s doing it for the money.

Do I think it has substance? Don’t know yet - like you, I will pick up a copy at the Dollar Tree. I usually don’t comment on substance of something until I’ve read it - the people who are saying it has no substance? Um….their the ones being criticized in the book - or being paid to say what they say.

If the Congressional Judiciary Committee thinks it has substance, I’m sure they’ll put a subpoena in his hand.

Things don’t have to be proven in order for people to think they are legitimate concerns being raised.

Take God for instance - you just believe it’s real or not - the existence of God will never be proven to those who just don’t believe it, and will never be verifiable to those who do believe.

I believe Bush and his cronies are lying, cheating, manipulative, criminals who deserve to be brought up on war crimes and thrown in prison for the rest of their pathetic lives. But that’s just me. I’m sure you have just as much affection for Clinton.

Goldie,

Powell has a conscious - that’s why he left - I think he was duped like many others, realized his errors and got the hell out - like a true gentleman and military man would. I also believe that if anyone could chose to bring down Bush, it would be him. You know he has saved every email, post-it note, etc. related to his involvement with this administration. He knows s**, but is too good to tell it because he knows what it would do to our country, of course, imho.

I’m with you on Powell.

Loyalty to the party, President or ideology should be BEHIND (way the hell behind)loyalty to the Nation.

Yes, it would cause investigations and hopefully indictments and incarcerations - OH NO!! - but it would also go along way in impressing on our elected officials that it’s not nice to fool Mother America!

Sometimes truth, justice and the American way hurts.

GreenJeans,

Saw this as I’m lacing my shoes -

While I agree with you, I don’t think Powell would. Powell is a career military general - and a damn good one at that - and I think that in today’s explosive polarized environment - if I could read his mind (which I can’t of course - this is only my opinion), I feel that he would think that is a bad thing to continue to constant battling that goes on within our own country.

Who know? Maybe he’ll surprise us one day.

So it appears that al queada bombing of the Demark embassy in Pakistan could have been easily avoided.

President Bush has had it right the whole time. We are at war and wartime is no time to be getting all romantic with freedom.

The liberal media is directly responsible for this bombing. That cartoon was an act of war. It should be quite obvious now why Bush has curtailed some freedoms we have taken advantage of. If incendiary cartoons are banned there are no bombings PERIOD. Why you liberals take the side of the enemy is just mind boggling. Its time to shut all the sissy liberals up.

Oh my God! I might have to keep my big liberal mouth shut for the sake of my country and future freedom. Losers.

You, and others like you here, are the biggest ingrates this world has known. You live in the most freedom, the best protected and the most prosperous country in the world. And the man who has preserved and brought much of that to America is President Bush.

He has led the fight against terrorism and delivered to two suppressed countries the chance at freedom.

There has never been any illegal action brought against the President(although his haters have tried) because he has done nothing illegal. But you want him tried for ‘war crimes’!

If anyone should be tried for war crimes it should be people like you who have fought against every effort the USA has made to secure our freedom. I like how Obama likes it that McBush is now preaching about Iran divestment, after McBush has spent the past year fighting divestment:

During the Bush Administration, Iran has dramatically expanded its nuclear program, going from zero centrifuges to more than 3000 centrifuges. During the Bush Administration, Iran has expanded its influence throughout a vitally important region, plying Hamas and Hezbollah with money and arms. During the Bush Administration, Hamas took over Gaza. Most importantly, the war in Iraq that John McCain supported and promises to continue indefinitely has done more to dramatically strengthen and embolden Iran than anything in a generation.

SMACKDOWN!

“Confronted with that reality, John McCain promises four more years of the same policies that have strengthened Iran, making the United States and Israel less safe. He promises to continue a war in Iraq that has emboldened Iran and strengthened its hand. He promises sanctions that the Bush Administration has been unable to persuade the Security Council to deliver. He promises a divestment campaign, even though he refused to sign on to Barack Obama’s bipartisan divestment bill, refused to get his colleagues to lift an anonymous hold on the bill, and willfully ignores the fact that trade and investment between Iran and Iraq continue to expand. He stubbornly refuses to engage in aggressive diplomacy, ruling it out unconditionally as a tool of American power.

SMACKDOWN!

Bosch, the real danger is the right-wing authoritarian mindset that Dusty represents.

In that dangerously anti-American and anti-freedom perspective, ANY disagreement or dissent is treason. Not the sign of a healthy democracy, but pure EVIL in its rawest form. The right-wing follower is motivated by fear and hatred, dressed up in faux patriotism.

Facts do not matter to such a person—witness the Bush administration’s attempt to censor science. Logic does not apply—witness the free pass that McLame and his constant flip-flops get, from the group that supposedly abhors “flip-floppers.” Even blatant contradictions don’t bother them: “This is the free-est country in the world, and you should be shot if you disagree!”

The right-wing authoritarian mind is simply one that cannot, DARE not, think at all. And it’s what the Bush-types rely on to seize and retain power: stupidity and fear. It’s a dangerous combination.

No, the really troubling thing about Dusty is that she represents a full 28% of Americans—fellow citizens who have ZERO understanding of what being an American really means, and who would gladly destroy our freedoms and ideals in the name of protecting them.

“which General was it that had to resign after stating that 300,000 to 500,000 troops would be needed for “regime change” in Iraq?” For the umpteenth time, that was General Shinseki, Army Chief of Staff. He wasn’t fired – he’d announced his retirement about a year earlier. BUT: he was about the only one around to think ahead and answer (when asked, he sure as heck didn’t volunteer it): what happens if after “mission accomplished” these Iraqis don’t follow the historical model?

For the record: the person (military) who should’ve been asking those questions was General Franks, CENTCOM Commander. You know, the guy who wouldn’t give the CIA 800 Rangers for a bin Laden blocking action? The guy who retired a month after the Iraq invasion? WHY OPPOSE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

I noticed that my neighbor’s yacht in the deck we shared, began to look abandoned. There was no one to keep that teak deck bright and shiny. The fittings lost their glitter and all other visible parts of that wonderful vessel showed signs of neglect. When I saw him I asked him about it and he told me. “An example would be the best way to illustrate this drama. Let us say that before the year 2000 I sold a product for 1 dollar a can to wholesalers. To produce, process and can and package cost me 70 cents of which 55 were direct labor. Product cost, sales and distribution accounted for 20 cents leaving a pre tax income of 10 cents. In the end I would keep 5 cents. Is that clear?” “Crystal. Go on, the plot thickens.” “Then waves of immigrants, illegal or not, seemed to descend on the area and they were all willing to work their tails off for whatever you offered. Like others, we took advantage of this strange blessing. We hired like mad; in weeks we did not have a single American citizen working for us. We had to learn Spanish and eat more enchiladas, but our labor force seemed to be happy with us and with their work. This was fine. Instead of 55 cents for labor, the cost went down to 15 cents! It just shot the pre tax earnings through the roof. All of us in this business began to enjoy life as prescribed by the Constitution and all that jazz about the pursuit of happiness. For several years the real estate people, the car dealers and the local airlines have enjoyed prosperity like never before. You have no idea, man!” In a sense, both sides won. The immigrants that found a job and a place to call home if somewhat precariously, and the employers who suddenly were able to amass fortunes. Without forgetting that Uncle Sam keeps collecting taxes on almost every steps of the entire chain of events. But, there was always that thin line of reasoning that associates my neighbor’s . fortunes with that of the merchants of the 17th and 18th centuries. Merchants that waited eagerly every time ships laden with slaves reached port. Such reasoning evoked some clear references not only to our Constitution but also to the Bible. I could only comment: “An incredible story. I can see why some people oppose immigration controls, especially if they run a labor intensive shop or have housing developments to build or must harvest millions of tons of produce, not to mention those millions of hotel rooms that must be kept s** and spa

Oh and that Young Republican video is the biggest piece of trash around.

Why am I not at war? To keep America strong. Its that simple. My goal is an MBA. If all of America’s future businessmen were to suddenly get up and go to war it would create a huge vacuum. Oh not right now, but in the future. 20 years from now there will not be enough experience and knowledge to lead businesses if our best and brightest are forced to go fight in a war. A war that is better suited to be fought with people that don’t posses the quality skills and leadership abilities like Republicans have. Stop overreacting, that doesn’t necessarily mean minorities have to be the ones that do all the fighting. Although they will be the vast majority, thats just the way it is. When was the last time you heard of a minority CEO? Point proven.

A greater question is why aren’t the liberals in college going to fight for our freedom? Do we really need art majors? LMAO! Journalists?? Don’t we have already enough liberal media elitists? Scientists? To what? Prove that global warming is a fraud or that I evolved from a monkey?

Damn time flies). The Italian a*****, Materazzi called Zidane the “the son of a terrorist w*******” - I’d have headbutted him too, or worse.

Boschi,

My church does not delve in politics as you seem to expect. The only money sent overseas is hefty sums sent for world relief. Our denomination has an agency well known around the world.

We do not have ministers who preach politics or hate or racism. I guess you are being “funny” but does your church support Bridget Bardot? Why imply that mine does?

You are not particularly “dangerous”, boschi. You sound like a childish follower with little original thought. Your only danger is being easily misled.

Keep trying. There is not a court in the land that would convict Bush of anything illegal. Why not? Because there is NO evidence and you know it. Your opinions are not evidence.

I am certainly glad you are not an attorney, Bosch. Even a lay person knows that you cannot convict a person without evidence. But you would try and manufacture some, wouldn’t you?

Better examine your own hate in case you are going to France. You might not get back.

HEY EVERYBODY…..

LOOK AT IT THIS WAY

Effective Jan 1, 2009

Dusty, great patriot that she claims to be, will be a supporter of President Obama!

She’ll support the withdrawal from Iraq!

She’ll support the investigations into the criminal activity of the previous administration.

She’ll support tax cuts for the poor and middle class and tax hikes on the top 5%

She’ll support science, recognize global warming and evolution and a woman’s right to dominion over her own body.

All of the new Presidents policies will be her policies too!

AND TRUST ME…..If she ever posts against her professed “type” at that time…..I have tons of her posts to throw in her face!

We gonna have some fun then!

I know I’m not dangerous - but considering you think I should be IMPRISONED for my opinions, you are very dangerous.

Yes, I consider people like you VERY dangerous.

But our country saw the errors of Joe McCarthy, and we’ll make it through the likes of Dustyistic thought (ha! that’s kind of an oxymoron) too.

“support tax cuts for the poor and middle class and tax hikes on the top 5%”

See, this is what I mean by phrases that sound good, but…

Poor generally don’t pay Federal income tax. Same is true for many, many middle class households (depends upon how you define middle-class, too).

In fact, the Bush tax cuts provided many, many benefits to poor and lower-to-middle class families, such as child care assistance and taking many off the tax rolls entirely. Which is why when the Dems in Congress began chanting to undo the tax cuts they were made aware - it’d affect those same people! Now we see the “clarification” that ummm, no, they meant it only for the “rich.” Can’t give any credit to a Republican for giving more benefits to poor and middle-class households, now, can we?

Oh, just a passing thought - if President Obama gets us in a war, police action, UN operation etc etc etc that a bunch of us decide we don’t care for…

Does that mean you’ll continue to support him, or at the very least, begin to question why he can order ‘kids’ into combat when he ‘never served a day in his life’?

See what I mean about what goes around, comes around?

I wonder if Father Pfleger preached that same sermon mocking Hillary at his own church? Catholics favor Hillary, so probably not.

Plain and simple, the “news” stories that you have seen posted throughout the day are the wormy lib media blatantly trying to influence the elections.

I really like the idear of an Obama/Clinton ticket. It’s seems obvious now, but just two weeks ago it seemed obscene. Isn’t that funny about political bedfellows.

This story just wont die:

I just saw on CNN: They just reported that a unicycling bear (escaped from the circus?), was struck and killed by motorists on I-75 in Cobb Country. The bear apparently refused to yeild to larger, faster vehicles and instead insisted on his right of way in the bicycling lane that wasn’t there.

The motorist didn’t stop. Witnesses say the bear appeared disgruntled and beligerent, and answered to the name Dusty.

Gas is expensive, people, and we need to have bicycle lanes on the x-ways. Save the bears.

You know, they say that sometimes it takes a proper tragedy to git things done proper like, and maybe this old bar din’t die for nuthin.

I guarantee that these premature “Obambi wins” stories from the AP were coordinated through the DNC, see my nickname^^.

They want Bruno to begone and they know they can create the impression that she is by broadcasting their message to all of their dimwit sycophants through the TV Set, which still mystifies many liberals, the TV talking to them is the closest they will ever get to having religion in their lives.

Think “global warming,” the temperatures are falling but that doesn’t matter to the brainwashed because the TV Set told them they would erupt in flames if they didn’t start eating insects or some such nonsense.

What’s so cute is the wonderment of having this propaganda apparatus aimed at the KKKlintons, who hid many years of corrupt, unlawful and hideous behaviors behind it.
