The libs used to whine about Maliki being a tool of “Iran:”
{{{{“We call on our brothers in the Iraqi army and the brave national police not to be tools of death in the hands of the new dictatorship,” Sadrist lawmaker Falah Shanshal said.}}}}
{{{{Demonstrators in the northern Baghdad neighborhood of Kazimiyah called al-Maliki a “new dictator” as they carried a coffin bearing a crossed-out picture of the U.S.-backed prime minister, who belongs to a rival political party. A sea of people also rallied in Sadr City, Baghdad’s main Shiite district.}}}}
{{{{Sadrist lawmakers in Baghdad issued a strongly worded statement demanding a halt to the military operations and appealing to Iraqi security forces to stand down.-Urinal}}}}
Now they whine because he’s fixing to stomp the Iranian backed Mahdi army.
So which is it, pinkos?

{{{{What struck me as the best commentary on the Bosnia story came from a poster called GI Joe who wrote in to a news blog: “Actually Mrs. Clinton was too modest. I was there and saw it all. When Mrs. Clinton got off the plane the tarmac came under mortar and machine gun fire. I was blown off my tank and exposed to enemy fire. Mrs. Clinton without regard to her own safety dragged me to safety, jumped on the tank and opened fire, killing 50 of the enemy.” Soon a suicide bomber appeared, but Mrs. Clinton stopped the guards from opening fire. “She talked to the man in his own language and got him [to] surrender. She found that he had suffered terribly as a result of policies of George Bush. She defused the bomb vest herself.” Then she turned to his wounds. “She stopped my bleeding and saved my life. Chelsea donated the blood.”}}}}
{{{{Made me laugh. It was like the voice of the people answering back. This guy knows that what Mrs. Clinton said is sort of crazy. He seems to know her reputation for untruths. He seemed to be saying, “I get it.”-Noonan}}}}
~~~~~
{{{{No more apologizing. Now comes the euphoria, the liberation, the freedom of … Bosnian snipers! Suddenly, liberals all over are remembering that they never really liked the Clintons, even as they defended them in the 1990s. Suddenly, they can sidle into a discussion about Mrs. Clinton’s ethics, and all on a subject that (bonus!)
A CORRECTION
EXCLUSIVE: McCain’s Foreign Affairs Speech 1996 Address By Adm. Timothy Ziemer (UPDATED) UPDATE: It appears that Ziemer’s speech may have been plagiarized from McCain. According to the McCain campaign, the senator used these lines before Ziemer — in 1995. We regret the error.
UPDATE: As a blog that strives to maintain credibility and transparency, we would like to explain our mistake. When we were alerted to the tip that Adm. Ziemer gave a similar speech in 1996, we searched LexisNexis and McCain’s campaign site for whether the senator used the disputed phrases before that time. We did not find anything. After we published the post, the McCain campaign contacted us and pointed to a speech given by the senator in 1995, which appears on McCain’s Senate site. As soon as we were alerted to the error, we rushed to publish a correction. Once again, we regret the error.
When the violence in Iraq increases, it means we’re winning, because the ‘dead-enders’ are in their ‘last throes.’ When the violence in Iraq stabilizes, it means we’re winning, because we have ‘turned the corner.’ And when the violence in Iraq decreases, it means we’re winning, because…well, we MUST be winning if the violence is decreasing, right?
When the answer is always “we’re winning,” the actual situation is irrelevant. That’s the great thing about having a delusional alcoholic as Commander-in-Chief. We can always feel really good about ourselves!
BREAKING: Don Siegelman to be released pending appeal
AND
60 Minutes: The Prosecution of Don Siegelman——-(Grant) Woods is one of the 52 former state attorneys-general, of both parties, who’ve asked Congress to investigate the Siegelman case. “I personally believe that what happened here is that they targeted Don Siegelman because they could not beat him fair and square. This was a Republican state and he was the one Democrat they could never get rid of,” Woods says. Now a Republican lawyer from Alabama, Jill Simpson, has come forward to claim that the Siegelman prosecution was part of a five-year secret campaign to ruin the governor. Simpson told 60 Minutes she did what’s called “opposition research” for the Republican party. She says during a meeting in 2001, Karl Rove, President Bush’s senior political advisor, asked her to try to catch Siegelman cheating on his wife. [..] She says she spied on Siegelman for months but saw nothing. Even though she was working as a Republican campaign operative, Simpson says she wanted to talk to 60 Minutes because Siegelman’s prison sentence bothers her conscience. Simpson says she wasn’t surprised that Rove made this request. Asked why not, she tells Pelley, “I had had other requests for intelligence before.” “From Karl Rove?” Pelley asks. “Yes,” Simpson says.
The science isn’t settled — it’s unsettling, and getting more so every year as the scientific community learns more about the catastrophic consequences of uncontrolled greenhouse gas emissions. The big difference I have with the doubters is they believe the IPCC reports seriously overstate the impact of human emissions on the climate, whereas the actual observed climate data clearly show the reports dramatically understate the impact.
But t in spite of their outstanding qualifications, they are unable to rise above it. The country is falling apart and they are forced to play the “I said, you said, they said game” “So?” “Number one: they have not learned from George W. Bush. They allowed the media and their own advisers, to set the tone for their campaign. You will agree that George W. has taken tons of garbage from the best gurus, pundits, talk show hosts and newspapers but has remained above all of them. Bush has led the band every minute. Right or wrong, including the biggest fraud perpetrated in our history, he has never bothered to let blame, guilt, culpability and accusations change his arrogant demeanor. How are those two candidates expect to deal with the major crises that are certain to appear, if they can not keep their own house in order?” “How about John McCain?” “Just as bad or even worse. His idea of occupying Iraq for 100 years says a lot; it is an echo of the Bush-Cheney doctrine and its results. We don”t want wars against Mexico, Iran, North Korea, France, New Zealand and even the Vatican!” “Has Ralph Nader announced yet?”
Anti-lobbyist cred lets him get away with pandering to lobbyists. Campaign finance reform cred lets him get away with gaming the campaign finance system. Straight talking cred lets him get away with brutally slandering Mitt Romney in the closing days of the Republican primary. Maverick uprightness cred allows him to get away with begging for endorsements from extremist religious leaders like John Hagee. “Man of conviction” cred allows him to get away with transparent flip-flopping so egregious it would make any other politician a laughingstock. Anti-torture cred allows him to get away with supporting torture as long as only the CIA does it.
You know, for an administration that like to insist that “all options are on the table” when it comes to dropping bombs on Iraq or Iran, wouldn’t it be nice if for once “all options were on the table” when it came to fighting for basic human rights. Instead, if Bush goes to Beijing and sits clapping in the stands, it will be seen, correctly in my opinion, as unspoken approval for some of the world’s most brutal, authoritarian tactics.
From DHIMMWIT’s 8:25 goony lib propaganda scare link:
{{{{The science isn’t settled — it’s unsettling, and getting more so every year as the scientific community learns more about the catastrophic consequences of uncontrolled greenhouse gas emissions.}}}}
Apparently you libs don’t understand very much about science:
{{{{Just how much of the “Greenhouse Effect” is caused by CO2 human activity? It is about 0.28%, if water vapor is taken into account— about 5.53%, if not.}}}}
That is unadulterated scientific fact, indisputable, CO2 makes up about .28% of the so called greenhouse gases, with water vapor being 95% of the heat trapping effect.
Won’t do you pinkos not understand about this?
Take your little beakers, go into the laboratory and see for yourself, and while you are there, learn something about CO2’s maximum soluble levels.
Your whole entire “man made” theory is based on one of the most absolute minimal possible causes for warming but yet you just ignore the science and hysterically drive on.
As al-Gore fills his bank accounts to the brim.
And the parade of lies just continues unabated:
{{{{Fortunately Kernen wasn’t around when scientists were warning that puny little humans were destroying the Earth’s protective ozone layer. Otherwise >>>we<<< might never have banned chlorofluorocarbons in time.}}}}
“We,” eh?
{{{{China has moved to ban the production of ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), according to a statement from the country’s environmental protection agency. The action is in accordance with the 1987 Montreal Protocol to phase out the use of ozone layer-depleting products . China, which signed the agreement in 1991, >>>says it will end all CFC production by 2010.<<<}}}}
What about India?
And the rest of Asia?
They’ve been blowing out CFC’s without a care in the world but only after the United States was brought to it’s knees did the environmental terrorists drop their ozone hole scare mongering.
Ever wonder why that is?
Do only American CFC’s eat away the ozone?
Yep, global warming never existed. Considering it was global warming that was responsible for the oil Andy loves to drink.
Once you release all that trapped carbon that has been stored in the earth for millions of years, it has to go somewhere.
And it’s not a “guess”. Scientist KNOW the chemical properties of Carbon and Carbon Dioxide and how it can affect the environment of the earth.
Andy, Science is not up to you or anyone else for that matter to determine what is right or wrong. It is up to OTHER SCIENTIST to subject a hypothesis, theory, or paper through PEER REVIEW. Some “guy” just doesn’t stand up and say, “I think that the earth is warming because the flying spaghetti monster did it!” No, the theory has to fit the evidence. It works just like a court of law, the evidence determines wither the person, or in this case, the theory is innocent (True) or guilty (false). So when scientists say, “Global warming is caused by increases in CO2 levels” They aren’t kidding around. Now matter how hard a oil backed group tries to inject doubt, it doesn’t change the evidence.
Continuing to doubt global warming or any other potential disaster to Earth as nothing more than hearsay puts your children and their future on the line and show’s how selfish you are.
Analchord - that’s just the problem with you liberals. If the church leaders agree with you - like the Pope on the death penalty, then you quote him as authority. But if a religious leader disagrees with you, you say that he should stay out of politics - again like the Pope on abortion. The fact is that Democrats routinely campaign openly in African-American churches and sermons are routinely politically charged in those churches. Even Pat Robertson resigned as an ordained minister when he ran for President. Neither Jesse Jackson nor Al Sharpton would do this. Mike Huckabee did not, but he should have.
Religion does have a place in public life. It is part of the body politic. One cannot keep religion completely out of politics and the views of one’s denomination are often important, but not disqualifying when running for public office. Obama’s church just gives the public a very good idea where he might stand on certain issues. He needs to define his differences more clearly and explain why he did not do so at any time over the last 20 years!!!!
Bosch - I just read it and I don’t have a problem with what he wrote or how it was phrased, or even the conclusions. He is not advocating prohibition or ending liquor by the drink in bars and restaurants on Sundays. Some counties (Lowndes for instance) are totally dry on Sundays. Certainly Atlanta is not. I do know for a fact that alcohol related crime and accidents are lower on Sundays in Lowndes County because of the law. However, I am not advocating anyone going dry either (I take a snoot-full myself on occasion). Neither is the governor. His statistics are verified and verifiable.
Liberty does not mean license. We also have laws against speeding and we put people who are a danger to themselves away. There are limits in a free society to what people can and cannot do - look at environmental regulations for a start. I am sure that you don’t want to repeal all of those, do you? By your logic, that is trampling on someone’s freedom, isn’t it?
By w00t
If people kept religion out of politics all together, then we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Religion has no place in politics. Only men with rational and logical thinking belong in office. We do not need men in office that are willing to sacrifice education to the whims of radicals, nor do we need men in office that might be willing to down play a woman’s importance in the work place or home. We need men that make decisions on actual evidence on the ground, and not from their gut, or a “message from God”. We do not need men in office that feel that the Earth was put here by God for us to rape, plunder, and pillage, because the “rapture” is soon upon us. We certainly do not need men in office that think 6000 years ago man was ridding on the back of a Jesus tyrannosaur.
You put someone in office that has a vision for this country, its people, and future generations. Not someone, with faith in stone-age beliefs that the country is in the hands of God’s control. Fate is what we make for ourselves.
If we continue to elect “leaders” like this, we should expect in short order that the US will no longer be the leaders in science and technological achievement. Our country will quickly collapse in to a theology, just as the Middle Eastern nations did during their dark ages while all the power and wealth shift to Asian and European countries.
w00t - thank heavens we in this country do not listen to people like you. We would end up with a stagnant, lifeless and souless society such as the one which Lenin and Stalin created. One in which religion was trashed and ground underfoot by the state. The state became the god and the state used that authority to play God.
Whether you like it or not, religion is a part of our lives and should guide public officials when they make decisions of conscience. NY Governor Mario Cuomo refused to sign any death penalty bill because he was morally and religiously opposed to the death penalty. Unfortunately, he was a hypocrite because he was for abortion on demand. I am opposed to both, but the arguments for the death penalty make a whole lot more sense to me because at least a person who was found guilty of the ultimate crime is being punished! I still am opposed, though.
The President has not restricted science. He has just stated that the government will not fund certain types of research. I agree. There are serious ethical questions when it comes to cloning and embryonic stem-cell research. One cannot cut himself off from such moral arguments or go against core beliefs. You obviously are hostile to religion, so you are not forced to participate in it in this country. Go about your business, but do not try to dictate what others can and cannot believe and what they bring to the table as public officials. Your belief that religion should not be part of public life is as fanatical and bizarre as having an established religion. Neither extreme is desirable.
Regarding the declining news coverage, I think the real cause is, if Americans aren’t dying, neither the public nor the media really cares.
It’s a pity, really. The same underlying issues of jidahism remain, America’s dependency on foreign oil and the failure of our elected officials for thirty years to do anything about it; the continuing self-centeredness of “I have the money, if I want to burn three times the gas it’s my right”; the view that “I can drive/do what I want and the fuel price should be low or someone else is to blame”: Detroit/Japanese/German decisions to bow to larger profits;;; but few Americans were dying, so it’s really no story.
And that’s the real story.
w00t - I also want to address your contention that religious people want to subjugate women. That is why I am opposed to having an official religion, because that is the type of thing that can be done when fanatics get in control. However, it also depends upon the religion. All of the Scandianavian nations and Great Britain have ‘established’ churches. Women’s rights are respected completely. The ‘established’ church in these nations is Protestant (Lutheran/Anglican/Presbyterian) Christianity. Saudi Arabia does not respect the rights of women. That religion is the fanaticism we are currently fighting. Communist China also routinely disregards the rights of women and dissenters in general. It is officially atheist!!! I would posit to you that repression exists in societies when government becomes too powerful. Religion is a moral counter-balance to that evil in a free society. The trouble is you look at the examples where society is not free and want to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
James Madison, the author of the 1st amendment to the Constitution also was the first to introduce a resolution (which was passed) to hire a chaplain for the House of Representatives. Religion and government can and should coexist and work together. But neither should control the other. But to try to eviscerate any influence religion has on public life is just plain bigoted and not very bright!
{{{Go about your business, but do not try to dictate what others can and cannot believe and what they bring to the table as public officials.}}}
Oh, that’s funny coming from a “religious” person.
The thing is when people think of religion, they think of “when I die, I live for all of eternity, so what I do here, or to this planet is not all that important.” Wrong. Having a finite life here on this planet, gives us purpose, it gives us meaning. That we should not sit around hoping to get to some place after we die. That we need to live life now, and to make sure we live this world in a better place.
Religion is no different on either side. Christianity and Islam both try to limit free speech and free thinking when it goes against the churches dogmatic view of the world. This is what led to the dark ages in the Middle East. When religious leaders took over and installed shia law that basically made it illegal and punishable by death if something was seen as an affront to Islam. It held people back. With no freedom of speech and ideas, their countries turned in to what we see today, religious zealots with no rational understanding of the world. Many of them still believe that the earth goes around the sun. This is not something that took place over night. It took many years to accomplish. This same path can happen to our own country.
Look at Pat Robertson, and Farwell. They tried to blame the 9/11 attacks on gays because of their dogmatic views. Robertson said that Dover, PA should not look to God if there was a natural disaster in their area when they ruled against intelligent design. We have Ken Ham and his Creationist museum. Are these the thing that we want in our country? The dumbing down of our citizens? The rest of the western world laughs at us and takes our jobs as children are indoctrinated with this rhetoric. We are on the tipping point and can easily slide in to oblivion.
Mr. Devil,
Yes, we do not have to participate in anything, and we certainly do not have to participate in religion.
But when politicians pass laws or restrict certain activities based on their own moral conviction and religion, that affects EVERYONE, not just them, or you who happen to believe like they do.
How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot?
You wouldn’t complain?
How would you feel if tomorrow, a law was passed to say that stem cell research will be funded by the government because the benefits to potential patients outweigh the consequences?
What one considers ethical and moral for one does not mean for all.
PITTSBURGH - Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey endorsed Democrat Barack Obama on Friday, a move that could help the presidential candidate make inroads with white working-class voters dubbed “Casey Democrats” in the Keystone State.
Appearing on stage beside the Illinois senator, Casey told a boisterous rally, “I believe in my heart that there is one person who’s uniquely qualified to lead us in that new direction and that is Barack Obama.”
Pennsylvania’s April 22 primary will allocate 158 delegates, the biggest single prize left in the drawn-out nomination battle between Obama and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York. Clinton is leading Obama in the state, by 12 points in one poll this month.
Casey is a first-term senator and the son of a popular former governor of the state. Casey is Catholic and, like his father, is known for his opposition to abortion and support of gun rights. His support could help Obama make inroads among Catholic voters, who have preferred Clinton to Obama in earlier primaries and strongly favor her in Pennsylvania polls.
“I really believe that in a time of danger around the world and in division here at home, Barack Obama can lead us, he can heal us, he can help rebuild America,” he said.
Obama told the crowd that he had not pushed Casey hard for an endorsement.
“Bob is such a gracious person and such a thoughtful person that I did not press him on this endorsement,” especially since Obama trails Clinton in Pennsylvania polls.
“It would have been easy for Bob just to stay out of it, just to stay neutral, I think everybody would have accepted that,” Obama said.
Casey said that he called Clinton Thursday night to tell her of his decision.
“She was very gracious. We know that she’s a great senator, she’s a great leader,” Casey said.
Asked by Casey’s endorsement, Clinton spokesman Mo Elleithee said, “We’re proud of the support we have from across Pennsylvania, including Gov. (Ed) Rendell, several members of Congress and mayors from across the state. We look forward to having his support in the general election as Democrats unite to beat John McCain and to turn our country around.”
Clinton’s backers in the state include Rep. John Murtha, who was an early advocate of withdrawing from Iraq, and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter
w00t - the point to Christianity - unless you are a Calvinist - is that we do have free will to accept or reject the word of God. You have obviously rejected it. And the purpose of this life is to serve God AND our fellow man. It is not to achieve selfish goals or just have what would be a meaningless existence - an existence without a life after death. What would be the purpose in living a good life and helping your fellow man if there is no reward or consequence to bad actions.
I actually pity you as much as I pity those like Osama bin Laden who believe in a merciless God. Either way you lose out. Whether you like it or not, you will be in my prayers, but not that God will touch you, but that you will allow Him in because He has always wanted to be in your heart.
That man has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Why do I have to repeat this over and over again?
It is, after all, rather obvious, the best you libs can come up with is a naturally occurring atmospheric element that we exhale when we breathe, it is a plant food and above all, it’s effect on trapping heat in the atmosphere is .28% which is laughable and a stone cold fact.
I will never change my mind, doing so would be comparable to saying the Earth is flat, which is the exact type of idiocy that you liberals have embarked upon.
The Sun, on the other hand, the source of all of our heat, gosh, just imagine that it’s solar activity increases and decreases, causing warming and cooling, just like it has since the beginning of time.
Are you able to say that man’s activity caused the Earth to emerge from the Little Ice Age in the 1600’s?
Thank you very much. I do enjoy following the state of Russian affairs.
While I was gone I read William Craig’s “Enemy at the Gates” - about the battle of Stalingrad. There were many German and Russian first-person accounts. It was tough to get through at the end - what people can inflict on each other, and survive, is horrendously incredible.
I’ve made the point certain parties in this world have reached agreements on making the practice of warfare less barbaric (a concept not embraced by those with a mindset appropriate to the 10th century). But many of the one-off, atypical “atrocities” cited by many as evidence of America’s evil are not anywhere in the same league as that which was routinely perpetrated in what was the generation (of many here) of our fathers and grandfathers.
Bosch - we all have certain core, moral beliefs. If we don’t then we just degenerate into complete social misfits - sociopaths and psychopaths. I don’t believe in murder, period. That is a core belief. I thus don’t believe that society should condone one type of murder and condemn another. Taking another’s property is also against the law, and it is one of the ten commandments. Should we throw that one out because it is a religious law? I think not.
Throwing out one’s core beliefs is not an option for any honest person holding public office. I guess that is one of the things that has separated the Bushes of this world from the Clintons. They have different kinds of morality. One is bedded in a core belief that certain things are right and wrong. The other is bedded in expediency and the belief that they are the ones who are the most capable of making decisions for all of us poor, stupid people. But even they realize the purpose of religion and even pay lip service to it and go to Church on Sundays, although I actually doubt they believe a word of it, or they would live their lives a bit differently.
I realize that many atheists and anti-religionists think that people like me are just plain stupid, but they would be wrong. But the funniest part of all of this is - If I am wrong, then no harm, no foul. I just die. If the atheists and anti-religionists and apostates are wrong, what excuse will they make when they come face to face with the Creator of the Universe?
Ponder this for a while.
Gene Karpinski, president of the League of Conservation Voters, said he was not surprised that roughly 500 participants had gathered at the meeting. “I’m sure that the flat Earth society had a few final meetings before they broke up.”
And Princeton University geosciences professor Michael Oppenheimer said that with the media and many politicians now ignoring the climate skeptics, “they have to get together to talk to each other, because nobody else is talking to them.”
Mr. Devil,
It is my opinion that people who criticize the Clintons while praising the Bushes are just plain hypocritical.
But that’s just me.
I’m no Clinton fan, but Bush ain’t no charm, in fact, I’m not that old, well, to my kids I am, but I can never remember a cloud of mistrust for our government like we have now.
Anyway, religion is one of my favorite topics, so yes, if you believe that an old man sits in heaven on a gold throne and when you die you will reside there forever to gaze upon his glory along with all the other billions or so who’ve made the cut, then that’s just plain makes me giddy. That’s great.
Whom I feel sorry for are those who make the decision to not attempt ANY kind of spiritual path.
And I am also continually frustrated with those who claim that their religion or what they believe is “right” and everyone else is “wrong.” Because, basically, at my core, I believe what Christ taught, that God’s grace and eternal happiness (whatever that may be) is for EVERYONE, and is potentially available to EVERYONE - for those who seek it.
Now, whether that means now or in the afterlife, no one knows. Not me, not you, not anyone except for those who’ve died.
So, I choose to make the best of both worlds - I live a good life now, I am a happy person now, I try very hard to treat my fellow man with respect (albeit sometimes hard), and when I die, if I’m right, then I think I’ll be okay, and if I’m wrong and I have to stand before God, then I won’t have such a hard time defending myself.
If I am wrong and there is an old guy whom one day I’ll have to stand before and defend my life to, I do feel that this old guy will understand what it is that I believe and that what I believe isn’t too different than what most others believe - it’s just got different labels, and sometimes I call them different things - and he’ll be cool with that.
The people who totally blew their climate “models” try to weasel their way out of loss of government funding, notice how “irradiance” from the Sun can cause ice ages, freeze the whole freaking world over, but has “less effect than greenhouse gases,” which have “caused” a one degree fahrenheit rise in the last century, which was erased in one year, 2007:
{{{{There is much need to refine our understanding of key natural forcing mechanisms of the climate, including solar irradiance changes, in order to reduce uncertainty in our projections of future climate change.}}}}
{{{{In addition to changes in energy from the sun itself, the Earth’s position and orientation relative to the sun (our orbit) also varies slightly, thereby bringing us closer and further away from the sun in predictable cycles (called Milankovitch cycles). >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Variations in these cycles are believed to be the cause of Earth’s ice-ages (glacials)<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<. Particularly important for the development of glacials is the radiation receipt at high northern latitudes. Diminishing radiation at these latitudes during the summer months would have enabled winter snow and ice cover to persist throughout the year, eventually leading to a permanent snow- or icepack. While Milankovitch cycles have tremendous value as a theory to explain ice-ages and long-term changes in the climate, they are unlikely to have very much impact on the decade-century timescale. Over several centuries, it may be possible to observe the effect of these orbital parameters, >>>>>>>>>however for the prediction of climate change in the 21st century,<<<<<<<<<<< these changes will be far less important than radiative forcing from greenhouse gases.}}}}
{{{{By mm March 28, 2008 2:13 PM {{{Over several centuries, it may be possible to observe the effect of these orbital parameters, however for the prediction of climate change in the 21st century, these changes will be far less important than radiative forcing from greenhouse gases.}}}}
mmoron: I understand completely what that says, these geniuses need several centuries of study to figure out that being closer or farther from the Sun has an effect on warming or cooling, I mean, really, if you want to climb out on that limb, go right ahead.
Let’s run this again, look at what has just dawned upon the brilliant environmental terrorist scare mongers:
{{{{In addition to changes in energy from the sun itself, the Earth’s position and orientation relative to the sun (our orbit) also varies slightly, thereby bringing us closer and further away from the sun in predictable cycles (called Milankovitch cycles).}}}}
Now let’s check out some information that was readily available in the fourteenth century:
{{{{An old theory about why ice ages occur when they do may actually be right, a U.S. researcher said Thursday. He said variations in the Earth’s orbit around the Sun could explain why ice ages, which occur about every 100,000 years, have not been more regular. “The earth circles the sun every year in an orbit that becomes either more elliptical or less elliptical over tens of thousands of years,” Jose Rial, a professor of geophysics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, said in a statement. “Variations in the orbit over time chiefly account for the ice ages as differing amounts of sunlight warm the planet.”}}}}
Go ahead on, mmoron, join in with the CO2 terrorists, when this whole thing gets exposed as a lie they will fade back into the woodwork with their government tax riches, but you will be just an idiot.
That doesn’t seem to bother you very much.
Again with the religious debate?
Face it…we, as a nation, and all who live within it are rooted. George McKenna wrote an excellent paper on the topic:
“The Puritan Origins of American Patriotism”
Now Mr. McKenna didn’t formulate his opinions based on those of others. He thought critically on the issues.
Heck, Denzel Washington had his acting career launched through portraying George McKenna in “Hard Times”, as the principal at George Washington H.S. in L.A. - the H.S. where “Tookie” took society one step further when he formed the West Side Crips.
George McKenna or Tookie? I’ll take George.
Summer fashions are out, and I’m goin’ shopping. I’m so excited.
Good point @@. Do you have a blogsite where you offer more indepth comments? I’d love to visit. I hope there’s a photo of you to compare with the image I have in my head. I see a thirty-something brunette, thin, and very cool. Someone anyman would love to be with.
Anyway, sorry for completely getting you mixed up with trolls all these months. I’m done fighting or arguing or flaming or condescending. Everyone has a contribution to make to the general discussion of any issue, and that contribution is no less worthy than any others, which remember Einstein proved when he said that all observers are equally valid, without that crucial truth, none of his theories would be possible.
So sorry.
An apology? Okay. I’m sorry that you think liberals are not americans. I’m sorry that you feel your country, (that country), is slipping away from you. I’m sorry that you ended up becoming that which you most despise because you allowed yourself to hate. I’m sorry that you have beome the enemy of america, like the royalty became the enemy of france in 1779, when they garroted Marie Antoinette with a piece of piano wire and then oj’d her with a rusty bolo knife, and then set her on fire and threw here in a well, and then poisoned her and then shot her fifty times and then ….no wait that was Rasputin….darn it, I always get my revolutions mixed up…
Outside the Shi’ite underclass, however, there is little sympathy for Sadr and his cohorts. Most Iraqis wonder why it has taken so long for the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to take on the Mahdi Army. Inevitably, many are asking whether Maliki will go whole hog, pursuing the Mahdi Army until it is completely destroyed.
Well ^^^ there you have it - subversive journalism at its best errrrr worst.
Applying the term “whole HOG” to a muslim leader. What was he thinking? Just kidding.
besides, if I recall you’re a married man. Now don’t go telling me any sad stories about your wife, cause my heart is very tender. I’m serious….I really am. I remember you mentioning her at Wooten’s.
No, I do not have a blog, and therefore to pictures. Think Sophia.
I’m not writing a term paper, Brucie, I’m posting to a political blog.
Perhaps this might be why you dimwit liberals have been taken in by the CO2 hoax, scrutinizing the tree but yet missing the snow covered forest.
Let me know when you will be reading this blog and I promise I’ll make a big effort to try and be nice, K?
No blog for @@? suprised. not a pick up line, just letting you know what my minds eye imagines when I read your comments. I dont suppose it’s wize to ask what your mind’s eye sees when you read my comments, well, it’s a little unfair because you think i’m fifty other trolls, and that would throw you off. For that last time, mostly , you’re wrong when you think I’m one of the extraneous trolls. it’s so obvious who I am cause I dont try to hide it. I change id’s because it’s a peculiarity with me, not because I think I’m fooling anyone, nor do I care if anyone gets fooled so what, ha ah fooled ya! Guess I won. Hooray for me. What?
There’s no prize for trolling. Someday maybe you’ll get it. i dont know.
