Insane in the membrane.

{{{{“They think we made a mistake going in there (Iraq) without letting the U.N. inspectors finish their jobs,” Clinton said. “And they would have found that the weapons of mass destruction that did exist — the biological and chemical material — were destroyed in 1998 when Saddam Hussein kicked the weapons inspectors out and I bombed where I thought they were. We got it, but we didn’t know. That’s what the inspectors are for.”}}}}

And they all lived happily ever after. The End.

Uh, 2003 minus 1998 is five years dude and the “inspectors” were there practically the whole time.

Well, well, how about KKKlinton’s mess, a freaking quagmire threatening the whole world with war.

I guess Bushie will have to go in there and clean it up.

Jolly old show by the British, too, cutting and running.

{{{{The word on the street is that the Obama campaign and New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg have already met and devised an incredible plan if Clinton wins the nominee. Mayor Bloomberg would give nearly $1 billion to Obama’s campaign after which Obama would bolt from the Democratic Party and run as an Independent candidate with king-maker Bloomberg as his running mate. The Obama campaign realizes that Obama is too new at this game and doesn’t have the political weight of the Clintons to bring in the true heavy-hitters of the party’s hierarchy. So, according to sources it was Bloomberg himself who suggested this cunning strategy. It’s mind boggling that the Clintons are willing to destroy the entire Democratic Party, and potentially in the process lose the White House and seats in Congress, for their own selfish thirst for power and glory.}}}}

FACTS - Obama is the MOST EXPERIENCED CANDIDATE!

Senator Clinton has based her campaign on an erroneous claim to greater legislative and administrative experience. Former President Clinton talks up her role in his administration on the campaign trail but pointedly refuses to release any documents that would provide greater details on her actual activities there. It is broadly understood that Hillary spearheaded the response team that staved off Republican attacks and spun the many scandals of the Clinton years. As to her Senate record, no one in the press has had the diligence to lay out her record for the public to assess.

Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term (6 yrs.), and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law only (20) twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years. These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress (www.thomas.loc.gov), but to save you trouble, I’ll post them here for you.

Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall. Name courthouse after James L. Watson. Name post office after Jonn A. O’Shea. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men’ s Lacrosse Team on winning the championship. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men’s Lacrosse Team on winning the championship. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty.

Only five of Clinton’s bills are more substantive. 16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11. 17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11 18. Assist landmine victims in other countries. 19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care. 20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.

There you have it, the facts straight from the Senate Record.

On March 4th, Texas Republicans and Independents will have an opportunity to end Hillary Clinton’s (and Bill’s) presidential ambitions once and for all!

Since Texas has on open primary, Republicans and Independents should sign in at their polling place and request a Democratic ballot. They should then vote for Barack Obama. Even James Carville admits that if Hillary loses Texas, “she’s done!” Republicans can help make this a reality!!! Just think, no more Clintons in the White House!

Voting Democratic this one time will have NO effect on your ability to vote in the next Republican primary or obviously on your vote in November. Since John McCain has the Republican nomination locked up, voting for McCain or Huckabee at this point will have no effect on the outcome on the Republican side.

After you vote during early voting or on March 4th, you ARE NOT done! Report back to your regular polling place at 7PM on March 4th to sign the Barack Obama list for caucus delegates. In a little known Texas voting quirk, 67 delegates to the Democratic convention will be seated because of these caucuses. This is a full one-third of the total number of Texas delegates. For Hillary to lose, she has to lose the primary votes AND the caucus votes.

I urge you to vote against Hillary Clinton by voting for Barack Obama. Please forward this e-mail to all your Texas Republican and Independent friends so that we can help ensure the Clinton’s defeat on March 4th!!!

Barack Obama’s Plan Provide Middle Class Americans Tax Relief Obama will cut income taxes by $1,000 for working families to offset the payroll tax they pay.

Provide a Tax Cut for Working Families: Obama will restore fairness to the tax code and provide 150 million workers the tax relief they need. Obama will create a new “Making Work Pay” tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per working family. The “Making Work Pay” tax credit will completely eliminate income taxes for 10 million Americans. Simplify Tax Filings for Middle Class Americans: Obama will dramatically simplify tax filings so that millions of Americans will be able to do their taxes in less than five minutes. Obama will ensure that the IRS uses the information it already gets from banks and employers to give taxpayers the option of pre-filled tax forms to verify, sign and return. Experts estimate that the Obama proposal will save Americans up to 200 million total hours of work and aggravation and up to $2 billion in tax preparer fees. Trade Obama believes that trade with foreign nations should strengthen the American economy and create more American jobs. He will stand firm against agreements that undermine our economic security.

Fight for Fair Trade: Obama will fight for a trade policy that opens up foreign markets to support good American jobs. He will use trade agreements to spread good labor and environmental standards around the world and stand firm against agreements like the Central American Free Trade Agreement that fail to live up to those important benchmarks. Obama will also pressure the World Trade Organization to enforce trade agreements and stop countries from continuing unfair government subsidies to foreign exporters and nontariff barriers on U.S. exports. Amend the North American Free Trade Agreement: Obama believes that NAFTA and its potential were oversold to the American people. Obama will work with the leaders of Canada and Mexico to fix NAFTA so that it works for American workers. Improve Transition Assistance: To help all workers adapt to a rapidly changing economy, Obama would update the existing system of Trade Adjustment Assistance by extending it to service industries, creating flexible education accounts to help workers retrain, and providing retraining assistance for workers in sectors of the economy vulnerable to dislocation before they lose their jobs. Technology, Innovation and Creating Jobs Obama will

Barack Obama’s Plan Shine the Light on Washington Lobbying Centralize Ethics and Lobbying Information for Voters: Obama will create a centralized Internet database of lobbying reports, ethics records, and campaign finance filings in a searchable, sortable and downloadable format. Require Independent Monitoring of Lobbying Laws and Ethics Rules: Obama will use the power of the presidency to fight for an independent watchdog agency to oversee the investigation of congressional ethics violations so that the public can be assured that ethics complaints will be investigated. Support Campaign Finance Reform: Obama supports public financing of campaigns combined with free television and radio time as a way to reduce the influence of moneyed special interests. Obama introduced public financing legislation in the Illinois State Senate, and is the only 2008 candidate to have sponsored Senator Russ Feingold’s (D-WI) tough bill to reform the presidential public financing system. Shine the Light on Federal Contracts, Tax Breaks and Earmarks Create a Public “Contracts and Influence” Database: As president, Obama will create a “contracts and influence” database that will disclose how much federal contractors spend on lobbying, and what contracts they are getting and how well they complete them. Expose Special Interest Tax Breaks to Public Scrutiny: Barack Obama will ensure that any tax breaks for corporate recipients — or tax earmarks — are also publicly available on the Internet in an easily searchable format. End Abuse of No-Bid Contracts: Barack Obama will end abuse of no-bid contracts by requiring that nearly all contract orders over $25,000 be competitively awarded. Sunlight Before Signing: Too often bills are rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to review them. As president, Obama will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days. Shine Light on Earmarks and Pork Barrel Spending: Obama’s Transparency and Integrity in Earmarks Act will shed light on all earmarks by disclosing the name of the legislator who asked for each earmark, along with a written justification, 72 hours before they can be approved by the full Senate. Bring Americans Back into their Government Hold 21st Century Fireside Chats: Obama will bring democracy and policy directly to the people by requiring his Cabinet o

Barack Obama’s Plan Ending the War in Iraq Judgment You Can Trust: As a candidate for the United States Senate in 2002, Obama put his political career on the line to oppose going to war in Iraq, and warned of “an occupation of undetermined length, with undetermined costs, and undetermined consequences.” Obama has been a consistent, principled and vocal opponent of the war in Iraq: In 2003 and 2004, he spoke out against the war on the campaign trail; In 2005, he called for a phased withdrawal of our troops; In 2006, he called for a timetable to remove our troops, a political solution within Iraq, and aggressive diplomacy with all of Iraq’s neighbors; In January 2007, he introduced legislation in the Senate to remove all of our combat troops from Iraq by March 2008. In September 2007, he laid out a detailed plan for how he will end the war as president. Bring Our Troops Home: Obama will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq. He will remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months. Obama will make it clear that we will not build any permanent bases in Iraq. He will keep some troops in Iraq to protect our embassy and diplomats; if al Qaeda attempts to build a base within Iraq, he will keep troops in Iraq or elsewhere in the region to carry out targeted strikes on al Qaeda. Press Iraq’s leaders to reconcile: The best way to press Iraq’s leaders to take responsibility for their future is to make it clear that we are leaving. As we remove our troops, Obama will engage representatives from all levels of Iraqi society – in and out of government – to seek a new accord on Iraq’s Constitution and governance. The United Nations will play a central role in this convention, which should not adjourn until a new national accord is reached addressing tough questions like federalism and oil revenue-sharing. Regional Diplomacy: Obama will launch the most aggressive diplomatic effort in recent American history to reach a new compact on the stability of Iraq and the Middle East. This effort will include all of Iraq’s neighbors – including Iran and Syria. This compact will aim to secure Iraq’s borders; keep neighboring countries from meddling inside Iraq; isolate al Qaeda; support reconciliation among Iraq’s sectarian groups; and provide financial support for Iraq’s reconstruction. Humanitarian Initiative: Obama believes that America has a m

Oh, Luckoduh, always parroting the retardican pary line. SQUAK, SQUAK, SQUAK!

Now I know why you call yourself “duh”. Because you don’t have a clue on how the real world works.

The thing is, Bush wanted to pass a bill that allowed for warrantless spying on Americans and to give telecoms immunity from law suites for possible illegal eaves dropping.

The Bush administration can initiate new terrorist monitoring activities after the PAA expires. It just has to get a FISA warrant, the same way it did in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. Indeed, Bush himself praised the changes Congress made to FISA in the wake of the September 11 attacks, noting that they “will allow surveillance of all communications used by terrorists, including e-mails, the Internet, and cell phones” and makes the intelligences community “able to better meet the technological challenges posed by this proliferation of communications technology.” If we were able to get by with those provisions for nearly six years, surely we’ll be OK living under them again for a couple of weeks.

I guess LuckoDuh wants to live in a fascist state where his government follows his every move and make sure he salutes the flag every morning and praying to a picture of chancellor Bush.

Andysaq, I’m not the bed wetter like you are. I want the president to follow the rule of the law, not make up BS as he goes along to justify his assault on the civil liberties of the people he swore an oath to, to uphold the constitution.

The thing is Bush has lied, yet again. This time he tried to tell the American people that when the law expired, he would not be able to protect the public. This was a total and outright lie. He still has the ability to spy on people. All he has to do is get a warrant, like the FISA law says. On top of that, no warrant request has EVER been turned down. He also wanted telecom immunity. How is granting telecom immunity going to protect you or me? All this sets the stage for is the abuse or power. We know what happens when people abuse power. You get false wars in the name of protecting America, and the destruction of our freedoms and liberties at the cost “national security.”

Basically what you want is big government. A big brother government where your every move is watched. The money you pay in taxes goes in to tracking you and your family so you are “protected” in the name of national security.

I’ll take national healthcare and an education for poor people in this country any day over that fascist utopia you dream of.

Luck,

You wrote:

“Uh, 2003 minus 1998 is five years dude and the “inspectors” were there practically the whole time.”

This statement demonstrates why wingers are superior to the sub-human species known as liberals. Liberals base their opinions upon ‘facts’ whereas we wingers base our opinions upon facts we make up in our own heads.

Our position is “I am right because (fill in some stupid revisionist history.)”

I’m sure that Luck is aware that any published history on Iraq would state that Saddam kicked inspectors out in 1998 and that they didn’t return until late 2002, but who cares what the ‘facts’ are when only the ones you make up your own head support your argument?

You know why I’m voting for McCain? Because McCain is a young man who inspires hope. I know the leftist press says that McCain told voters in Michagan that ‘these jobs aren’t coming back’, but he was just taken out of context. I’m sure that after hearing McCain’s speech that many voters were motivated to act e.g., jump off a building, slice their wrists etc… The point is that he moves people to action.

In addition, his 5 and half years of captivity brought an almost Buhdda like-calmness to the man. The last thing we need in this day and age is someone who goes around yelling obsenities at people and losing his temper. That would be scary and that’s why I’m for McCain.

Of course, that’s not to mention that I think McCain will build upon Bush’s unrivaled legacy of peace and prosperity.

BTW: When are they putting up the Bust Monument so Bush can take his rightful place among Washington and Lincoln? A spot on Rushmore perhaps? It is rare to see a country so united about a President and I think some acknowledgement ought to be made.

Too bad Cheney didn’t run. That suprised me given his good health and broad popularity amongst the people. I mean its not like he has some personal issue like a gay daughter to worry about, right?

27 January 2003 Since the initial UN inspections began on 27 November 2002, soon after the arrival of some inspectors, the inspectors are to report back to the Security Council by 27 January 2003. Although the US would consult the Council if inspectors reported Iraq had failed to cooperate to discuss the consequences Baghdad whould face, the US would not have to wait for UN approval before taking military action.

07 March 2003 At 10 AM Hans Blix and Mohamed ElBaradei will give a report to the United Nations Security Council briefing it on a report that it submitted earlier in the month and giving testimony regarding developments in the inspections process.

16 March 2003 On March 16 the IAEA and UNMOVIC were advised by the United States to withdraw their inspectors from Iraq. Such a withdrawl should be completed by March 18 depending on how long it takes for the United Nations to approve such a withdrawl.

President Bush, during an address to the nation on March 17, gave a 48 hour deadline to Saddam Hussein to leave Iraq or else the United States and its coalition allies will initiate a military action against the Iraqi regime. The deadline for Hussein to enter exile would be 8:00 PM EST on March 19, by this time nearly all of the final preparations would be completed. Military operations against Iraq began at around 9:30 PM EST on March 19.

MILWAUKEE - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign released a 13-page blueprint for fixing the economy Monday, detailing the former first lady’s plans to achieve universal health care, address the home foreclosure crisis and develop jobs for the middle class.

So while Republicans continue their obsession with adultery and abortion, Democrats are giving us a plan of exactly what THEY will do to fix the real problems inflicted on America by the neo-puritans (everybody now knows they sure as hell ain’t neo-‘conservatives’)

Where’s the beef, Republicans? Are you guys too damn afraid or ashamed to actually committ your sorry butts to anything? What’s your plan?

The only thing Republicans are gonna give us is another 4 years of talk, talk about Billy Clinton’s weiner and where it’s been. Why? Cause they ain’t got the first farkin clue about how to clean up their own mess. If they did, they would publish and committ to a plan to save our great nation from their big, Big, BIG business/ big, Big, BIG government excesses.

Oh yeh, ‘PLANNING’ is a word that ain’t in the Republican dictionary. They didn’t PLAN how to win a war they were hot to jump into, they didn’t PLAN how to keep our economy out of recession when they were spending our tax dollars like drunken sailors, and they didn’t PLAN on the frontal assault across our borders that occurred when they refused to enforce exisitng laws that hold their big, Big, BIG business buddies accountable for giving american jobs to illegal criminals that violate our borders every minute of everyday.

Hell, it looks like the only thing Republicans ever PLANNED for is how to get their pathetic little peckers into to some congressional pageboys butt without gettin caught and they screwed that one up and got caught anyway.

On this President’s Day, I would like to express President Clinton’s great victory in Kosovo, since the blogs and the corporate media hate too much to congratulate him and America:

“In declaring independence, Kosovo’s prime minister, Hashim Thaci, a former leader of the guerrilla force that just over 10 years ago began an armed rebellion against Serbian domination, struck a note of reconciliation. Addressing Parliament in both Albanian and Serbian, he pledged to protect the rights of Kosovo’s Serbian minority. “I feel the heartbeat of our ancestors,” he said. “We, the leaders of our people, democratically elected, through this declaration proclaim Kosovo an independent and sovereign state.”

Oh how sweet it is. King George imposes another new ‘TAX’ on the wealthy.

Typical of the Republican big, Big, BIG business/government machine. Jack up the fees, reduce the deductions, increase the premiums, deny the assistance, eliminate the ‘waste’. Just don’t call it a “TAX” and that makes different somehow.

Of course the rest of us know that no matter what they call it, we pay more and get less for it. Ya just gotta love the Republican ability to speak outta both sides of their faces at the same time.

On August 26, 2002, in an address to the national convention of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Cheney flatly declared: “Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction. There is no doubt he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies, and against us.” In fact, former CIA Director George Tenet later recalled, Cheney’s assertions went well beyond his agency’s assessments at the time. Another CIA official, referring to the same speech, told journalist Ron Suskind, “Our reaction was, ‘Where is he getting this stuff from?’ ”

In the closing days of September 2002, with a congressional vote fast approaching on authorizing the use of military force in Iraq, Bush told the nation in his weekly radio address: “The Iraqi regime possesses biological and chemical weapons, is rebuilding the facilities to make more and, according to the British government, could launch a biological or chemical attack in as little as 45 minutes after the order is given… . This regime is seeking a nuclear bomb, and with fissile material could build one within a year.” A few days later, similar findings were also included in a much-hurried National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction — an analysis that hadn’t been done in years, as the intelligence community had deemed it unnecessary and the White House hadn’t requested it.

In July 2002, Rumsfeld had a one-word answer for reporters who asked whether Iraq had relationships with Al Qaeda terrorists: “Sure.” In fact, an assessment issued that same month by the Defense Intelligence Agency (and confirmed weeks later by CIA Director Tenet) found an absence of “compelling evidence demonstrating direct cooperation between the government of Iraq and Al Qaeda.” What’s more, an earlier DIA assessment said that “the nature of the regime’s relationship with Al Qaeda is unclear.”

On May 29, 2003, in an interview with Polish TV, President Bush declared: “We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories.” But as journalist Bob Woodward reported in State of Denial, days earlier a team of civilian experts dispatched to examine the two mobile labs found in Iraq had concluded in a field report that the labs were not for biological weapons. The team’s final report, completed the following month, concluded that the labs had probably been used to manufacture hydrogen for weather balloons

On January 28, 2003, in his annual State of the Union address, Bush asserted: “The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa. Our intelligence sources tell us that he has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes suitable for nuclear weapons production.” Two weeks earlier, an analyst with the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research sent an email to colleagues in the intelligence community laying out why he believed the uranium-purchase agreement “probably is a hoax.”

On February 5, 2003, in an address to the United Nations Security Council, Powell said: “What we’re giving you are facts and conclusions based on solid intelligence. I will cite some examples, and these are from human sources.” As it turned out, however, two of the main human sources to which Powell referred had provided false information. One was an Iraqi con artist, code-named “Curveball,” whom American intelligence officials were dubious about and in fact had never even spoken to. The other was an Al Qaeda detainee, Ibn al-Sheikh al-Libi, who had reportedly been sent to Eqypt by the CIA and tortured and who later recanted the information he had provided. Libi told the CIA in January 2004 that he had “decided he would fabricate any information interrogators wanted in order to gain better treatment and avoid being handed over to [a foreign government].” The false statements dramatically increased in August 2002, with congressional consideration of a war resolution, then escalated through the mid-term elections and spiked even higher from January 2003 to the eve of the invasion.

{{{{One of the more bizarre sights during the recent congressional hearings on steroid use in baseball (commonly known as the “Let’s Get Roger Clemens Hearings”) was the sight of Roger (The Rocket) Clemens being shouted down by the gavel-pounding Henry (The Weasel) Waxman. There is something empowering about a gavel in the hands of a U.S. Congressman. No matter how big a weenie he may have been in high school and no matter how much fun the other kids used to make of him, he now has the authority to make corporate heads, executive department bigwigs or sports stars squirm and perspire.}}}}

{{{{For those of you who aren’t football fans a “Hail Mary” is a term used when a quarterback throws a pass with a very low percentage of success in desperation to win a football game when the team is down and desperate for a win. This time Hillary’s camp teams up with the right wing rhetoric of John McCain basically using the media and the right wing noise machine to bolster her point.}}}}

{{{{We all know Ruppert Murdoch gave Hillary campaign cash for her Senate bid in New York, and by coincidence Fox news is running this story again on their front page as of 5:39 eastern time. IN THE NEWS @ 5:47:

I have no objection to the investigation that Senators Biden (D) and Kit Bond (R) are promoting. They’re objective is to protect our military by getting to the source of the problem. It’s not to destroy but to improve.

I think it’s only fair that all details are revealed.

You have a bad habit of selectively reporting what serves your personal interest. I suspect the troops weren’t your primary concern.

Ok, almost 7 gotta cut to the chase.

War isn’t only about cammo and ammo. It’s also about mens souls.

The Presidential, and even more so the Congressional Elections, of 2008 can be a pivotal moment in U.S. History. It will require that war for mens souls. Get your body armor out boys and girls, because we are going to RUMBLE.

The pent up righteous anger of the American people is EVERYWHERE! When your hardware guy says the country is going down the toilet YOU KNOW people are paying attention. I promise you I know real Obamacans. Moderate voices, fooled by GOP and “New” Christians for a while - but no longer.

The people who have been running our nation and the pundit class that have supported them need to be slapped upside the head.

I am just one of the citizens that will be doing the slappin’.

I’ll be damned if I let some little right wing weenie continue to spit on the Constitution.
