At least they’re not wearing robes and pointy hats like the KKKlinton Kampaign is.

Look at mikey trying to hide Hot Michelle behind Rush’s “gut.” What, are you worried that your goon pinko readership will glance at true Republican beauty and be drawn away forever from the demokrat shrieking hags like Ku Klux Rodham?

I don’t blame ya.

~~~~~
Look at the libs starting to become war mongers:
{{{{CBS’s Steve Kroft asked Obama in a 60 Minutes interview if he would pull out of Iraq according to a timetable “regardless of the situation? Even if there’s sectarian violence?”}}}}
{{{{Obama responded, “No, I always reserve as commander in chief the right to assess the situation.”}}}}
They have already fooled the hardcore pinkos with their talk of withdrawal, now it is time to start acting like responsible adults and they know it.
Let’s call it a new kampaign program if you will, All Code Pinko Children Left Behind.
Bwa.
~~~~~

{{{{KKKlinton said that her staff had sent her “some independent study” “which seemed to suggest that” “in terms of the fairness of the coverage,” Fox News Channel has treated her campaign more fairly than MSNBC.}}}}

Gosh, I wonder who predicted this?:

~~~~~
{{{{Hillary KKKlinton is a classic commodity provider. She caters to the less-educated, less-pretentious consumer. As Ron Brownstein of The National Journal pointed out on Wednesday, she won the non-college-educated voters by 22 points in California, 32 points in Massachusetts and 54 points in Arkansas. She offers voters no frills, just commodities: tax credits, federal subsidies and scholarships. She’s got good programs at good prices.-David Brooks- Urinal}}}}
This is the continuation of a dismal 10-year performance with nearly one and a half million Golden Staters leaving what was once the premier destination state in America.}}}}
{{{{Our friends on the left say Americans are willing to pay more taxes to get better government services, but their migration patterns reveal the opposite. Governors would be wise to heed these interstate migration trends as they try to cope with what may be one of the worst years in recent memory for state finances. The people who tend to be the most mobile in American society are the educated and motivated — in other words, the taxpaying class. Tax them too much, and you’ll soon find they aren’t there to tax at all.}}}}
Funny toon Mike.
They will vote for the kook for the SC judges and he will probably win. More wars, 100 years in Iraq, a draft and the economy will continue to crash.
Watched Dodd speak on FISA amnesty for 2 and half hrs last night. Our Senate is using unity and will vote today to allow w to break the law again and give everyone involved amnesty.
So far, he has admitted torture, spying on Americans without a warrant and punked on WMD’s in Iraq.
The Dems have decided to not hold them accountable to win elections instead. Hope for the Dems to do the right thing, will be ended today.
Saudi Arabia bans all things red ahead of Valentine’s Day
No Love For the Saudis!
I’m not much of a Valentine’s Day fan, but I don’t think it should be banned. And what’s wrong with the color red? I mean come on, red is a very nice color. Oh yeah, and chocolate. I do like chocolate.
Well, if you think about it, maybe the Saudi men got tired of Valentines Day - it is kind of silly, having to buy presents to prove your love.
I usually buy the other Bosch a card or a little bit of chocolate. We don’t go all out on V-Day.
By AntiRadical
February 12, 2008 9:26 AM | Link to this
Good toon ML. The hallmark of the radical right is identical to that of the radical left. Both are intractable and unable to compromise; consequently, both are categorically unable to govern effectively.
I am encouraged to see Sen McCain doing so well, though. I had planned to vote Dem this election cycle for the same reason I voted Rep in 2000. The existing party has been in power too long.
Now the unusual events of this presidential campaign season force me to reconsider. I am fairly certain that Dems will increase their congressional majority substantially, and I don’t care to repeat the mistake of electing a single party to both the executive and legislative branches of government; been there and done that in 2000. A Dem majority that has close to veto overide authority coupled with a conservatively principled Rep president would yield a perfect match to hold each in an equilibrium of checks and balances.
This balance might yield an environment of the best government we can hope for; one that is so utterly hamstrung and conflicted that it can get nothing done, thereby doing the least harm.
It’s a mathematical certainty and in that way, McCain is mathematically eliminated from serious consideration 2B our next prez.
McCain will mismanage things almost as badly as the Demoncrats if he does not appoint true conservatives to key posts such as the CEA and the Treasury Department. However, he will be infinitely better on defense issues - he is not ‘Neville Chamberlain’ Obama or ‘Daladier’ Clinton. He does not think that appeasement and surrender are the best means of achieving world peace. However, I think that even light weights such as Obama and Clinton will realize that victory is preferable to defeat and they will act accordingly. They will just ruin everything else domestically. Uh, welcome fellow goons and klanners.
We have come to another milestone in our glorious krusade to keep thee Magnificent and Wonderful White Powers, Ms. Ku Klux Rodham and Exalted Cyclops Billy Klux, in their proper Seats of Grand Power. This is a highly important day for our kountry, because if we lose today like we did Saturday, I’m afraid that we will be unable to stop the coming nightmare and our nation will descend into to a frightful darkness.
It seems to me that we have several, or should I say quite a few, traitors in our midst. Some of you have kommitted the highest of blasphemies against our Great and Generous Rulers by casting your votes for the black man. I know this because there are not that many of Those People out there. Must we look over your shoulders today in thee polling booth?
If this is not the case, then it must mean that some of you are real stupid, and we are grateful for that because you are our strength. But please, fellow klanners, try to pay attention when the High and Mighty One’s address you, you should fall prostrate to their Wisdoms.
What don’t you understand when They say They are Inevitable? Do we have to go over this real slow? I-n-e-v-i-t-a-b-l-e. There is no point in resisting. We have based our whole kampaign on this simplest of notions, we thought you were paying attention. That is why we offered this token candidacy to this B. Hussein Obama, the crack dealing Muslim terrorist, because we thought surely you would understand Ku Klux Rodham is Inevitable and he would lose big time, like another Jesse Jackson. Do we have to write it down for you?
After all, they don’t call it the White House for nothing.
So let us ride, mighty klanners, ride through the streets on your horsey, but remember, no burning churches today and take off your pointy hat when entering thee polling place.
Bosch,
Your friend sounds very accomplished indeed. Were he free of Dyslexia he’d be a “Class Three” adult illiterate; those in that category are especially adept at concealing their illiteracy, and most often are astonishingly resourceful in their lonely invention of coping mechanisms.
Given your remarkable friend’s Dyslexia, he’d presumably make a wonderful Special Ed teacher of those with similar learning disabilities—-in the public or private schools, the adult schools, or through any of the organized literacy programs that have been promoted, for example, by the present and previous two First Ladies of the U.S.
One in three adult Georgians cannot make out a check properly or read the front page of this newspaper or the filling instructions on a gas pump. One in five cannot read so much as the poison warning on a household product.
These people are alone, in crowds. Even in crowds of themselves.
Damn Glenn,
You sound like there is something wrong with my friend, like he should be featured on some Hallmark special movie or Lifetime television event:
“These people are alone, in crowds. Even in crowds of themselves”
and
“lonely invention of coping mechanisms”
the brain is a weird thing and he does just fine - kids with disabilities such as dyslexia grow up thinking something is wrong with them and try to hide it, but luckily there are some great programs and super teachers that help kids overcome these difficulties, and help them to realize there is nothing “wrong” about them at all.
Nice try RW.
Bosch,
I told you what the third category of adult illiteracy is. It’s those especially adept at concealment. Often their lives revolve around the felt need for that concealment. Cat 4’s, those of the final classification, are aliterate—-averse to learning to read. They get that way through educational quackery.
I’m not trying to make a poster child out of your friend, only pointing out that his level of accomplishment probably commends him as a teacher of pupils with similar disabilities. There are many such pupils, and if you truly think that the severe Dyslexia you describe is not a disability, I think that it is you who stand alone, in a crowd or otherwise.
Likewise your mockery of the fact that fully a fifth of Georgians constitute a lonely crowd of completely illiterate persons coping without benefit of assistance even from each other. I really have to assume that you, who take robust pleasure in your own literacy, are being facetious when you pretend that that does not constitute a scourge among us.
Among other things it is a resounding rebuke of the publishers of this newspaper, who fail to attend even to the fiduciary responsibility that would compel them to face this problem. Liberals forever bemoan that the big battles are long won.
Well, here’s one for you. Whether you know it or not.
Glenn,
I don’t like being lectured to, especially when it is totally unwarranted.
You know nothing about me or my friend, and his abilities, or mine.
I assure you I’ve done more for disabled children and adults in my lifetime than some armchair hero like yourself will ever even imagine.
You can assume and presume all you want Glen, but your assumptions about me, my friend, and liberals are, as usual, narrow minded, dishonest, and wrong.
Do you also assume that my friend is a Special Ed teacher because you think that’s all he can teach?
If you can show where I mocked the millions of illiterate Georgians in any of my posts, I’ll eat my sock, and considering I just got through running 5 miles, it’s pretty sweaty and smells bad.
What I can show you is where you mocked my friend by assuming something is “wrong” with him. You mock him and those like him by assuming that they feel the need to conceal something about themselves that is neither wrong or should be ashamed of. My friend has never had to conceal the fact that he couldn’t read or write, nor should the other millions of children and adults that have the same issue.
Many do, that’s true, but if you’ll read my last post before I left instead of lecturing me like some kind of pious prat, you’ll see that I commend the teachers and school programs there are in this state and in this country that help these individuals realize there is nothing WRONG with them, but they are rather unique and special.
Some research concludes that people who have learning disabilities or have difficulty reading are actually cognitively smarter because they use more areas of their brains to communicate (don’t ask me to cite that, I can’t remember where I read that). Ever seen an autistic kid use his own language? That’s pretty damn impressive if you ask me.
My friend does not consider himself disabled, quite the contrary, actually, so neither do I. Apparently, you’ve never been around many people with a “disability” because they quite frequently feel the same way - they are not “disabled,” they are simply unique.
Why So Many Women Are For Barack Obama By Sarah Ramey - Feb 12th, 2008 at 1:33 pm EST Women for Obama
Thousands of women have been organizing, throwing house parties, canvassing and phone banking for Barack Obama over the last year.
And today, lead by the DC Women for Obama chapter, hundreds more women are working the phones and knocking on doors all over the Potomac region to turn out the vote for Barack Obama.
For months, they have been holding grassroots house parties for women to talk about the specifics of how Barack Obama’s honesty and progressive policies are so crucial to solving and addressing many of the challenges women face. As Maria Shriver said so honestly a week ago, “this is a moment to have a conversation with yourself, not anyone else. Have a conversation with your own heart. And ask yourself, ‘What kind of America do I believe in?’”
Here are just a few the nation’s most prominent advocates for women’s issues on why they whole-heartedly support Barack Obama.
Former president of NARAL, Kate Michelman:
“Why I’m endorsing Barack Obama”
…Barack Obama is also calling our nation to the greatness that we all want but that we’re uncertain we can still achieve. Others talk about greatness and they even say all the right words, but they do not bring those words to life. Their words do not grab us by the arms and pull us along together.
Barack Obama, like John Edwards, is redefining what is possible and in so doing he’s changing us, each one of us.
Many who had given up on politics are re-engaging. Many who had grown tolerant of the intolerable are now ready to demand more  and not just from themselves but others. And many who had given up believing that the ideals of equality, dignity and justice would ever again be as politically important as money and power, now believe again.
…Senator Obama is not just prepared to lead  as our beloved Teddy and Caroline Kennedy have said, he is prepared to lead in a way different than we have seen for decades. Not out in front with us behind him, but rather with us beside him.
And that difference is all the difference. That difference separates just any president from a great president; and right now, we need a great president.
Katha Pollitt from The Nation:
…When Obama won Iowa, I was surprised that I was glad
{{{{McFarlane, who as far as I could see was nowhere in evidence at CPAC, should perhaps have shown up and taken the time, as I did, to listen to the conservatives who were there. Particularly instructive was speaking to a number of young people waiting in a line to hear commentator Ann Coulter. First of all, the line itself was amazing. A mainstream Washington journalist I was speaking to at one point was truly stunned to see this very long line snaking up from the lower conference room level of the Shoreham hotel, along an entire corridor, then crossing the hotel lobby before extending the length of yet another corridor — all filled with Ann Coulter fans. But McFarlane would have profited by simply taking some time to listen to what these Coulterites had to say. Quite a number of them, with Coulter buttons pinned to lapels and blouses, volunteered that they didn’t agree with their heroine that it would be better to vote for Hillary over McCain. What they also made clear was that they loved Ann Coulter and respected her for her clarity as a champion of conservative principles, reserving the right to disagree with her as they reserved the right to disagree with McCain.}}}}
Sorry to jump in here, but something we may want to consider when electing our new CIC.
About Iranian/U.S. negotiations on Iraq…
(((Rhetoric aside, we are therefore in a phase where there are ways for each side to get what it wants. Obviously, the political process is under way in both countries, with Iranian parliamentary elections on March 14 and the U.S. presidential race in full swing. Much domestic opposition is building up against Ahmadinejad, and an intensifying power struggle in Iran could be a fairly large distraction for the country in the short term. ——>The Iranians also could wait a bit more to see how the U.S. presidential campaign shapes up before making any major decisions.<——)))
(((But then, a political process is always under way. That means the rhetoric will remain torrid; the public meetings few and low-key; the private discussions ongoing; and actions by each side sometimes inexplicable, keyed as they are to private discussions.)))
(((But it is clear from this week’s announcements by the Iranians that there is movement under way. If the Iranian president does visit Iraq and the United States makes no effort to block him, that will be the signal that some sort of accommodation has been reached. The United States and Iran will not recognize each other and will continue to condemn and even threaten each other. But this is truly a case where their rhetoric does not begin to reflect the reality.)))
Let’s get this thing over with. McCain has got to be our next president. Otherwise the war will ratchet up again.
Looks like the neo-cons started the day off all riled up! And November is still a LONG way off.
Some weeks ago, one of the regulars at Wooten’s started up an arcane claim that the term neo-con was anti-Semetic. He was roundly laughed at by the vast majority of the others there. And there were no end to the reason people told him he was full of lawyerly cr@p.
Though technically correct in the etymology, no one in their right mind bought his BS on the topic. No one.
Oh wait, There is one single soul here who was idiotic enough to take up the banner of stupidity and fly it high and proud. He post tons of rubbish here, and he favors himself an original.
The most laughable part of this one really ignorant neo-con is his unfounded and amazingly stupid assertion that I am a Jew-hater, based solely on using that term.
My grandfather, Abraham Herzfeld, was a small town lawyer. He and his wife, an amazing woman who was a dentist (in the 1930’s!), fled Germany with their only daughter - my mother circa 1939. They made a perilous and circuitous route to England, after the Nazis had detained him but inexplicably let him go. They arrived in GB with but 10 Deutsch marks to their name, where they were put in a “refugee camp”. My grandfather died a bellhop in London. The Brits, in countless cases, treated these Jews like sh!t and blamed them for the war.
So for the ignorant neo-con RW to call ME a Jew-hater, yet again shows his incredible stupidity and lack of human decency. Characteristics associated to him by almost all of those who visit or post here regularly.
Good work neo-con.
Democrats do have one thing working in their favor - Republicans.
With McCain all but having wrapped up the nomination and with a huge jump over the squabbling Democrats while the GOP can concentrate on unifying the party for the big show in the fall, you’d think Republicans would be celebrating.
What good did the right-wingers do for their faux conservative candidate, the cashmere chameleon Mitt Romney, who tried to run several campaigns at once, telling different groups of voters what they wanted to hear?
How great is it that there is not ONE single neo-con still left in the race, to be our next President? Sorry, Huck, you just think you are.
Perhaps you are the repulsive anti-Semite here. But certainly you truly exemplify why America is disgusted with you and your utterly twisted ideas.
Bosch what an arsehole you are. I said nothing about your friend having something “wrong” with him, even though you tried to attribute that word to me twice, the second time by lying with quotation marks. You said that your friend has severe Dyslexia, and then insisted that that is not a disability.
Neither did I assume that your friend teaches Special Ed. Rather, I acknowledged a presumption that he might make a good teacher of Special Ed. The most masterful of Special Educators, as your braggadocio indicates you would know, teach a fully integrated curriculum; as such, a world of learning is at their disposal and consequently at that of their students.
It is you who ridiculously overgeneralized from the anecdotal experience with your friend. I have no idea why you think it unacceptable and worthy of derision that I should take the opportunity, in the discussion of Mr. Corcoran, to point out how many millions of Georgians cannot read or write. If you deem that lecturing, you really could stand a lecture.
That is, after a therapist has treated your radical narcissism. As big a jerk as you could not possibly have been much help to disabled learners nor anyone else. Don’t be ridiculous atop your other pathologies.
Night y’all.
By AmVet
ITN, the problems here have ALWAYS ensued because of the following:
I, as you and everyone else here knows, love tweaking the noses of the President and other political figures (And yes I have slammed Bill Clinton and other Dems from time to time too). I do not hold back and have no problems with anybody who does the same. I will not sit quietly in the face of corruption and incompetence.
The problem with the much-maligned and oft juvenile RW, and the gang - @@, Dusty, the now-missing BD and notoriously Andy - is that they feel compelled to make the responses personal. In an childish effort to build themselves (and their arguments) up they try to defame others rather than rely upon facts and evidence.
If ANYBODY were to state their opinion that EVERY SINGLE RALPH NADER fan in the universe is a cowardly fool, it would not bother me in the slightest. They could slam every thing I believe in and I would move happily along.
BUT…the reality is and always has been that when I step over their line in the sand and call one of their heroes like Dick Cheney for example a supreme screw up they respond by insulting ME PERSONALLY, i.e. telling me what an a*******hole, useful tool, (fill in the blank) I am. And it is they who ALWAYS cast that first stone. Anyone can look it up and confirm it, but we all know it is unnecessary.
I don’t do that, I never have and I will not tolerate it from others. So that form of “debate” is simply not allowed by this cowboy. Without consequences. And in a battle of wits, the vast majority of these extremely fringe “conservatives” are not very good. That is just an observation, but it is shared throughout the land.
If and when they can learn this simple lesson, act like adults and refrain from the unprovoked personal insults, there will be hope for them.
But I am nearly certain that as very, very slow learners, it will take another electoral bloodbath or two.
AmVet has been around here using many names, for years, and his unbridled and deep seated hatred combined with the absolute filth that he’ll use when he thinks he’s safely disguised himself under another name make him unworthy of being treated as anything but the slime he truly is.
