Well, I guess that cartoon boy just doesn’t remember the real clowns we have had in office - all of them with a ‘d’ behind their names. Bill Clinton, the clownish whre monger who smoked a cigar after, well you know. Then there was old Dummy Carter. Al Gore has been such a clown that he has garnered major awards for it recently. He also will be proven WRONG on almost all of the issues he holds so dear. But the fact remains, stupid people just don’t become president. Even Carter is not stupid - just plain evil, like Bill the Bstard and his current stand in Hitlery!

w is the worst ever and destroyed our country but McInsane will finish it off with more wars, borrowing more trillions from China and no clue about the economy.

Voting gop and expecting change is the definition of insanity. McInsane will stay the course with w’s disastrous policies.

The choice is clear. To get out of Iraq, fix our economy and get back to the greatest country on this planet, just remember:

“It takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush”.

{{{{In Georgia and throughout the evangelical precincts of the south and the west, the Huckabee vote is dwindling because evangelical voters don’t need to make any more statements. The evangelicals need a political leader who can win and who will work towards the goals they want, not agree with their theology. The prospect of a McCain candidacy and an Obama presidency has clarified things in a wonderfully abrupt fashion for them. Most of them have no desire to look back in a few years and see themselves as the Perot voters of 1992. They are flowing to Romney because they really do care about the culture they see in decline and McCain’s indifference to it. They know that Huck has no chance of winning the nomination. A gesture isn’t enough in these circumstances.}}}}

{{{{Thanks to the miracles of modern technology, we can also look at the departure from the average for ice mass in a given month. At present, the coverage of ice surrounding Antarctica is almost exactly two million square miles above where it is historically supposed to be at this time of year. It’s farther above normal than it has ever been for any month in climatologic records. Around now, because it’s summer down there and the ice is headed towards its annual low point, there should be about seven million square miles of it. That means, as data in University of Illinois’ web publication Cryosphere Today shows, that there is nearly 30% more ice down in Antarctica than usual for this time of the year.}}}}

{{{{American “decline” is the foreign-policy equivalent of homelessness: The media only take note of it when a Republican is in the White House. Broadly speaking, declinists divide between those who merely accept America’s supposed diminishment as a fact of life, and those who celebrate it as long overdue. As for the causes of decline, however, they tend to agree: declining (relative) economic muscle, due in large part to the rise of China; an overextended military bogged down needlessly in Iraq and endlessly in Afghanistan; the declining value of America’s “brand” on account of Bush administration policies on detention, pre-emption, terrorism, global warming — you name it.}}}}

{{{{Yet each of these assumptions collapses on a moment’s inspection.}}}}

{{{{In his 2006 book “Überpower,” German writer Josef Joffe makes the following back-of-the-envelope calculation: “Assume that the Chinese economy keeps growing indefinitely at a rate of seven percent, the average of the past decade (for which history knows of no example)… . At that rate, China’s GDP would double every decade, reaching parity with today’s United States ($12 trillion) in thirty years. But the U.S. economy is not frozen into immobility. By then, the United States, growing at its long-term rate of 2.5 percent, would stand at $25 trillion.”}}}}

Memo from Obama Campaign

What the Obama campaign is up to on Election Day

Obama started Election Day at 5:20 AM ET, when he headed to a television studio to conduct 15 satellite interviews with all six morning shows, Univision and local TV in eight different states. This afternoon, Senator Obama will vote before heading to an election night event in Chicago.

Senators Kerry and Kennedy will do radio and satellite interviews across Super Tuesday states urging people to vote or caucus today. Other prominent leaders, like Governor Janet Napolitano, Governor Kathleen Sebelius, Senator Claire McCaskill and Representative Artur Davis, to name a few, are encouraging voters in their home state to participate in the primaries and caucuses being held today. Men and women from outside the world of politics, like Cornell West, actress Kate Walsh and actor Kal Penn, are calling into radio stations in states across America and encouraging listeners to show their support for Barack Obama by voting or caucusing for him today.

At 4:30 PM today, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe will hold a pen and pad briefing at the Hyatt Regency hotel. Stay tuned for more information on delegates and how the campaign is moving forward in states holding contests on February 9th, 10th, 12th and 19th.

One thing’s for sure… luckoduh. aka andy, the disassembler, etc., has become the biggest joke on this blog. I especially like his penchant for running quotes (no dout from his faves “The American Predator, I mean Spectator”, which has few readers, “Free Republic”, whose members are all fascist racists, and the Washington “Moonie” Times, which can count its serious paying readers on one hand) without any attribution whatsoever, much a link. Is he that embarrassed about his sources?

Honestly, duh’s paranoid ramblings have done more to alienate pragmatic Republicans who had been fence-sitters, and unite moderate Democrats, Independents, and your average, thoughtful voter than any plan the “sinister” DNC might come up with.

I’m convinced he’s a paid Democratic counter-insurgent.

When either Obama or Hillary take the oath of office next year, duh will be probably be tying a plastic bag over his head. Which would be sad. I don’t like to see anyone die, and his blue face, distended tongue and bulging eyeballs will make a closed casket virtually necessary. Darn shame for his family and friends, of which I assume he has a few.

Keep up the good work, duh! The work you and your ilk do make a GOP loss in November a virtual certainty.

Of course, W himself has helped.

Yes, Bush is a uniter. He waited and let you darling Dems on a Donkey change Congress into a Demo led Congressional backslide on America.

CHANGE Yeyyy CHANGE and do more like the Democratic-led Congress that never misses oppressing the troops, stopping the funding, adding earmarks, introducing socialized healthcare, incriminating the President and leading investigations that amount to nothing.

See Luckovich as a fine example of dirty Dem doings. Today’s cartoon is ust a little better than his “roasting the troops”, one of his anti-war specials.

But Oh Yes…CHANGE CHANGE and more back sliding. Vote “Democrat”, you slackers, and you get what you deserve. Either the new kid on the block whose only talent is talking nice or the power driven woman. That is the Dem choice. That’s what “thinking” liberals have to offer. Surely you jest!!

Great toon ML. Bush as Bozo is priceless.

Since either Obama or Clinton are acceptable choices to me, this year I voted in the Republican primary.

Sadly, it carried a large part of Deva Ju as I had voted for Senator McCain in 2000 when the radical right highjacked the Republican convention and installed the current sad state of affairs in office.

This is sad because I thought and still think that McCain would have been a great President. Unfortunately, his time is now past and I believe that any vote placed for him can only be effective as a counter to split the radical extremists of the Republican party.

As in 2000, we have had one political party in office for far too long, and it is indeed time for a change. Let’s return our nation to a more sane and rational course, vote Democrat in ‘08. America needs the help!

RB from Gwinnett,

Its your own skepticism that has prevented you from knowing what he means, but I’ll be happy to explain it to you:

Change from the usual way politics is done. Partisan voting, support, campagning, etc.

Change from the traditional methods that activists and others get things done.(Notice you don’t hear from the Sharptons of the world).

Change from our isolationist way of doing business with the rest of the world and bringing jobs back.

There are many ways he means change RB, those are just a few.

Got it?

RB,

From Obama’s website:

I think this pretty much sums it up, what he means by “change.” Sometimes things are kind of metaphorical, ya’ know.

“Americans are fed up with a divisive brand of politics that is more about scoring points than solving problems. To win in November — and to govern this country — we should not choose to be a party that extends an era of bitter partisanship; we must be the party that ends it.”

I know they all say that, but sometimes you must go with your gut as to who is actually telling the truth. My gut is with Obama - hopefully, it’s real and not just gas.

Typical sick liberal, taking the political debate far too seriously, a sure sign of disengagement from reality.

Anybody else notice how anti war surrender monkey liberals delight in the death and sicknesses of fellow Americans who they disagree with on minor policy issues, but fall into great sorrow and weep at the death of any women and children killing terrorist?

The same people that call their black opponent anther “Jesse Jackson?”

RE,

If this comes down to Clinton vs. McCain in Georgia I think McCain will carry the state without any of the people that he disgusts now coming back and voting for him.

The youth vote won’t turn out for that race and if Hillary gets the nod over Obama by seating Michigan and Florida delegates combined with super-delegates, the black vote will be suppressed.

With those two candidates you could see the lowest turnout in the history of Presidential elections in Georgia and perhaps everywhere else.

Now, it’s no secret that I’m no Bush lover here, but I have faith that despite Bush’s misgivings, surely they are actively looking for OBL, just a little more covert, so why would McCain say such a thing?

I’m just curious as to what some may think about that.

Not to mention the fact that McCain looks horrible, physically. He looks like he could fall over at any time. Many people vote for people based on their looks. I know it’s not ideal, but many people do, and does anyone think that if McCain wins the nomination and goes up against Clinton or Obama in a debate, he’s going to look the victor? {{{Change from the usual way politics is done. Partisan voting, support, campagning, etc.}}}

Sounds nice, but his voting record would indicate a completely different scenario. He’s voted the party line. There’s nothing bipartisan about that. Has he decided to be less liberal going forward or what? Talk is cheap. Evidence doesn’t support the sound bite.

{{{Change from the traditional methods that activists and others get things done.(Notice you don’t hear from the Sharptons of the world).}}} What commitment has he made? Has he proposed something to limit the influence of lobbiests or something? Again, a nice sound bite, but what does it mean in real terms?

{{{Change from our isolationist way of doing business with the rest of the world and bringing jobs back.}}} How is he planning to bring jobs back? Is he going to lower corporate income taxes so companies can compete with foreign made goods. You do realize our corp taxes at 35% are much higher than nearly anywhere in the world and get passed on to consumers in the form of pricing? Who wouldn’t be for bringing jobs back? But to change that, the reasons they left have to change. As a side note, who’s going to do those jobs when they come back? It’s hard as heck to find people to do jobs now. Aside from this recent downturn, unemployement has been at very healthy levels for 5+ years. There aren’t many people willing to work who don’t have a job.

Those are all nice sound bites and if you don’t make any attempt to figure out what they mean in real terms, it’s easy to be sold on them. To make change happen, though, you have to deal in real issues with real plans. I’m not hearing that from him and his record doesn’t support his claims. BTW, if I were inclined to vote D, I’d vote for Obama over Clinton any day. Although I don’t agree with him, I don’t distrust him as I do Clinton. He’s played this campaign smart by allowing Clinton to make more people hate her without sticking his neck out for anything meaningful. He’ll have to do that to win in Nov.

Well, Bosch, I disagree with RW whom I hold in high regard.

McCain is answering the oft noted Democratic accusation that Bush gave up hunting for Osama. MCain is ascertaining that our military will continue the hunt until they find Osama.

Most of us believe the reports that Osama is hiding in the high remote mountains of Pakistan. Even though they are working with us, we do not invade Pakistan to catch a now destabilized Osama. Our hunt is clandestine.

Dusty,

I think romney should stick to being a gameshow host. I like McCain because in the most basic definition, he has dedicated his life to his country. from military service on to his senatorial career, he has worker for this country and I have to respect that, also I believe he would make rational decisions in the country’s best interest. I probably hold somewhat similar if less intense feelings as you do towards Clinton.

With Obama I really see something different. Watch McCain and Romney bash each other over who is the most conservative or most like reagan (which by the way, if you look at reagan’s actual record, he isn’t much of a reagan republican). Hillary sends out one partisan group or another like NOW or NARAL to be a surrogate attacker against Obama. Both talk about working in a bipartisan manner, but when clinton says it it seems like she only means GOP members in congress. When Obama says it it sounds more like he is willing to work with republican voters and lead the country, not just be the head of the party. In this country there is 25% who are hardcore GOP and will hate everything democratic. and there are 25% who are hardcore dem and will hate everything GOP. The other 50% just want what is best for the country.

Paul take note of this section….

(2) APPLICABILITY OF OTHER REQUIREMENTS. — Nothing in this resolution supersedes any requirement of the War Powers Resolution.

Ok ?

Furthermore — The majority of Democrats in congress voted “AGAINST” this resolution.

Whereas the Republicans voted yes to this resolution almost 100%…

Democrats on the whole were rightfully against authorizing this President (or any President for that matter) this kind of power in office. This type of resolution throws checks and balances right out the window.

And I might add that the mis-information being spoon-fed to congress at the time was in error at best, or deception at worst.

Yes Hillary should have not supported this resolution. But she did. Thats history.

But then again she didn’t have accurate information and facts concerning Iraq.. now did she?

Great, great quote from a Nobel physics laureate Stephen Weinberg concerning religion.

Peoples for a Nuked

I know you signed off (Cheers) but if I catch you before you leave -

Just the title alone should have caused the lightbulb to go on.

Did you catch all the Whereas’s in there? Hillary’s a lawyer - she knows all about building a case - an argument - with premises. My gosh - when you read all the recapitulations that talk about using force - her explanations just don’t wash.

The Authorization didn’t supercede any part of the War Powers Resolution. In fact, it specifically stated “Congress declares that this section is intended to constitute specific statutory authorization” - doesn’t get much clearer. In fact, it referenced back to sec 4(a) 1, which states “into hostilities or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances” - that’s what all those “whereas’s” were about.

All in all, it relied heavily on the War Powers Resolution. Which came into being in 1973. So it wasn’t something dreamed up by the Administration to throw checks and balances out the window.

As far as the “she didn’t have accurate information, did she?” - kind of tough to buy that, given her consistent statements going back years on Iraq. Please don’t make the case Bill duped her, too (I didn’t say she was a senator then - just referring to her experience).

As I wrote last week, this is what happens when the Party takes the “he lied, we were duped” route to absolve itself of responsibility. Kinda makes one wonder if she’d come out with the “I gazed into Putin’s eyes” comments then say “I was duped.”

Gotta admit, it’s rather fun when these arguments are made by her opponent in the Democratic primary battle!

BTW - I like your “that’s history” comment. Do you think the antiBush crowd could say the same, particularly when discussing the candidates (or even the President), and focus on a way forward? With some consistent specifics? We’re in Iraq. How and when are history. The way forward is the tough part.

Any idea how he can go on about good and evil without a religious framework? What’s the basis for labeling something good? Or evil? Unless one reads his remark as “people will act according to their nature. But for a person aspiring to do good, who does evil, requires the judgment of a higher moral law.”

As the poet said (and many scientists believe) - God sleeps in the mineral, breaths in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and sleeps, breaths, dreams and expresses consciousness in Man.”

Just wondering about the implications of that quote, is all. Strikes me as a soundbite - or some confections - looks or sounds good, bit into it and - poof - nothing of substance.

I suppose I’m thinking now of religion not in the context of dogma but in the sense of a civilizing force, a framework for doing that which is not always according to one’s nature or in one’s interest. Those are general, overarching comments.

Basic good and evil universal? Hasn’t been that long that the concept of “shared humanity” has been around (that’s humanity, not hannity) - for so long, and still for some, it was “you’re not of my tribe you are no different than an animal.” Look at the attitude towards slavery throughout history. And the religious basis in the West for its abolition.

Using the terms loosely, I know. But so many set up a rigid, limited view of religion, then proceed to mock and tear down. Easy enough to do from a limited perspective. Just showing how difficult it can be to define good and evil without a view that mankind is inherently no different from the animal kingdom.

A. McCan’t— says we may be in Iraq for “100 years”, and “your jobs are not coming back, my friends”;

C. Huckleberry— wants to amend our US Constitution to be in alignment with his God’s word of law (which laws I wonder? Maybe the one that calls for stoning your neighbors if they wear clothing of two types of cloth?);

Paul —-

First - the big debate in congress during that year and event was over the warpowers act and how it applied to that resolution. This was one of the key reasons Democrats were against this resolution at that time. The Republicans and the Adminsitration were really pressing for this Resolution. It fully usurped the congressional powers concerning war.

However even so - the main aspect of it was that this resolution would not go into effect unless the UN had exhausted all diplomatic options concerning Saddam.

But instead of waiting for all options to be exhausted, Bush took advantage of the resolution the first chance he could get away with it. Thus we invaded a sovereign country without a clear and present danger against us.

Now comes the sticky part of the whole situation.

To this date, no Official war has ever actually been declared against Iraq. This was an invasion of Iraq without an actual war declared. Now how do you classify such an action as authorized by the resolution when the resolution clearly states authorization of force against the country Iraq?

If it is actually considered war against Iraq, then you have war and must follow the Geneva conventions of Prisoners of War.

So what is it officially?

A War against Iraq?

A Police Action?

or perchance is this invasion not actually recognized by any laws of the USA?

If we are truly at war with Iraq as authorized by the US constitution, Warpowers act (and authorized by this specifically worded resolution), then we have clearly violated the Geneva conventions concerning care of Prisoners of War.

So — Did Bush follow the rules of the Resolution yet break the rules of POW’s == or did he break the rules of the resolution, and use his powers of office to make a private war that is un-official in any sense of standardized rules of warfare?

War on Terrorism? — Nice public catchphrase, but just doesn’t wash as an official war. That’s so vague that anyone in the Justice Department would laugh and call the war illegal.

As to intelligence info available for Congress - The buck stops at Bush! The President is “the Owner” of Intelligence

Cheers’

Much of what I hear “debated” by many in Congress, it occurs to me, wouldn’t even be “debated” if the occupation had gone well. Really. If it had gone well, we’d been seen as wonderful liberators, we’d figured out how to include the Ba’athists, integrated the military and police forces, etc etc - all the things in hindsight we did badly - does anyone really think the Democratic Party members would have risen up and said “But we never should have gone in!! It was illegal!!”

Really does make one smile, just thinking about it, doesn’t it?

Last time we had a declared war was, when, exactly? WWII. The issues you raised were raised in the decades that followed and is one of the reasons we got the War Powers Resolution. And it’ll continue to be debated. Obama or Hillary may get hit with a war whether they want one or not. (Sorry ‘bout that, Goldie and getalife, but McCain has a pretty accurate view of some countries). And even then we’ll still have the debate.

Don’t mean to be brief (no, I wasn’t trying to be funny) but I’m catching a flight early tomorrow and have to apportion my time.

PS - I’ll hazard a guess that the only time we’ll see another Declaration of War is under Goldie’s scenario. Absent that the country will continue with this system that gives the Congress a bit of what it wants, the Executive a bit of what it wants, without the risk of either side being shut out.

The debate remarks were just about going into Pakistan to kill OBL. Nothing to do with the government.

Thousands of troops? Most discussions involve special ops/covert. But you know how quagmires begin. Look at Vietnam. A hundred here, a hundred there. First it’s a limited incursion with special ops. Then the target moves, and it’s time to bring in a couple companies to seal an escape route (remember Tora Bora? CIA wanted only 800 and Gen Franks still said no). Then a staging area for an aircav operation. Then the jihadists rally to the area. Let alone the tribes in the area the Pak gov’t can’t control. And so it begins…

Paul - since you bring it up - that is a very important point about the War Powers Resolution. Especially about the fact that after a length of time in putting troops into hostilities that War must be declared.

However the Resolution for attacking Iraq never says war anywhere in it. As a matter of fact it avoids the word War at every oppourtunity it can.

That is what makes that resolution so dangerous to the constitution of the United States. It is too vague, and leads to abuse of power from all sides.

I hope we learn from Iraq, seeing as we the Taxpayers will be paying for that mistake for a long long time…

It’s rare that George Friedman at Stratfor discusses our domestic politics, but when he takes the time, he hits the nail on the head.

(((The issue of policies versus character has been discussed many times. One school of thought holds that the foreign policies advocated by a presidential candidate are the things to look at. In fact, the candidate can advocate whatever he or she wants, but foreign policy is frequently defined by the world and not by the president. In many cases, it is impossible to know what the issue is going to be, meaning the candidates’ positions on various topics are irrelevant. The decisions that are going to matter are going to force the president’s hand, not the other way around.)))

(((Presidents are not to be judged by how they make history. They are to be judged by how gracefully they submit to the rules that history lays down. The consensus or disinterest of candidates is not important. What is important is this: The dominant foreign policy issue facing the candidates is going to hit them out of the blue one day. Their options will be few, and how quickly they recognize what must be done as opposed to what they would like to do is about all they will be judged by.)))

(((We know that Johnson made a terrible hash of Vietnam, while Roosevelt did pretty well in World War II. We strongly suspect that if Johnson had been president during World War II he would be respected and admired today, while if Roosevelt had been president during Vietnam he would be reviled. It’s not that presidents don’t matter. It’s that they don’t matter nearly as much as we would like to think and they would have us believe. Mostly, they are trapped in realities not of their own making.)))

The only reality is “a bi-tch” from the voters who think otherwise.

Homoduh,

Snowflake is a derogatory term used to call blacks who think intelligently and accused of “acting white”. Apparently, you think blacks are suppose to be stupid so allow me to demonstrate otherwise:

I believe that Obama is the best candidate for president of the United States. I use to believe McCain was until a little birdy showed me otherwise. While receiving the lastest bl@wjob from your mother she explained that this is how she does liberals. She said that you hate libs because they have always taken up your story time with her because they needed head. she then informed me that Obama was the best choice based on his good looks and if I didn’t change from McCain to Obama, then I would no longer receive head nor give her the golden shower that she loves so much.

You see homo. All of us aren’t stupid, we just make decisions based on what’s best for our lives.

Because we talk intelligently doesn’t mean we want to be white.

Peoples for Nuked

Spot on about what the Iraq Resolution didn’t say. My point was, though, that career politicians reading it should have well and truly known what those innocuous words meant. Especially with the included history recitation about Desert Storm and such. Kinda like calling a Mafia guy an enforcer and people asking “oh, is that like an umpire?”

I just really, really can’t believe (or really, really, really don’t want to believe) that these elected leaders who are so much smarter than their opponents were so… naive!

Actually, the Resolution was intended to strengthen the roles of Congress and Executive “It is the purpose of this joint resolution to fulfill the intent of the framers of the Constitution of the United States and insure that the collective judgement of both the Congress and the President will apply to the introduction of United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicate by the circumstances, and to the continued use of such forces in hostilities or in such situations. “

As far as having to declare war after a certain time, it just requires reports to Congress. There are provisions for withdrawal //absent authorization from Congress// - kinda like the “Authorization” to Use Armed Force In Iraq!

It also says “Notwithstanding subsection (b), at any time that United States Armed Forces are engaged in hostilities outside the territory of the United States, its possessions and territories without a declaration of war or specific statutory authorization, such forces shall be removed by the President if the Congress so directs by concurrent resolution.”

Which is why the Dems charges/countercharges of “but you voted for funding” are so trite.

I just got my 27th recorded phone message in the past two days, but thankfully this one didn’t haven’t Saxby’s repulsive voice on it.

But just as entertaining, it was someone referring to Laura Ingraham bemoaning the fact that Pat Dobson was bemoaning the fact that not ONE GOP candidate was insisting on the auto da fe for non-believers.

OK, OK, I made that last part up, but I wonder how the religious wrongs feel about the fact that based on the results to date, America has obviously, by and large, repudiated the Bible thumpers as an inane instrument of the GOP’s political power. Notwithstanding the liberal Huckabee. And notwithstanding the insistent but impotent “faithful” in the Deep South and outposts like Utah and WV.

Evening All!

Heard a great story listening to Randi. 93 year old lady, talking about voting for Hillary today. When she was born, women could not vote, were not equal citizens with men and were still considered the property of their husbands. We have come a long way baby! (Still at 70 something cents on the dollar salary wise though)

Whether you worship, accept, tolerate, dislike or hate Hillary it’s pretty damn cool to have a woman near my age being genuinely and deservedly given a shot at the Presidency of this great nation. My genderism will be hanging out all over when I state, I think women would do a better job on the whole.

That said, I voted for Senator Barak Obama today. Feels good.

What’s the poop on Huckabee in WV? There were some reports of McCain overpitching this one - anybody heard anything?

A network news reporter told me Saturday that he has interviewed McCain, Romney, Obama and Huckabee several times each, one-on-one. [Nothing about Ron Paul.] He said that he hasn’t interviewed Hillary because he and his network will not agree to her demand to submit all questions for prior review and approval, and limit questioning to the pre-approved and negotiated queries. So, he’s forced to shout questions to her from the pack, with his competitors’ cameras rolling.

McCain and Huckabee, he says, are clearly briefed by spin doctors, but in their manner seem the same in all settings, at all times. Romney and Hillary he says seem ever dipped in plastic when they go before the press or public.

Obama just hasn’t gone for the hard-hitting points yet. Can do that without character assassination. Just legit questions. Like how can Hillary say she’ll address foreign investment when her family receives tens of millions from - getting too late to check - Dubai? Plus the whole Saudi contributions to the Library and payroll thing.

Some newspersons are turning into cheerleaders. Look at that NBC guy “hard not to get caught up in the cheerleading” - should be fired. At least some are distinguishing between the Fox partisans/commentators/entertainers and the hard news shows. Other networks are blurring the distinction.

As far as your “liberal” suggestions from Obama - you’ve quite the wicked streak, haven’t you?

In human relations “shock and awe” is often counterproductive.

I read that BOR said 80% of the media is actively working to assure a Democratic President in November. He still is an idiot. If I wanted to live in la-la land I’d dance for joy at his suggestion. Let me offer something for everyone to think about, I got into it with a typical liberal dimwit today, a simple discussion about the election turned into a standard pinko talking point bombardment, this lib was well armed with the same old nonsense:

“Republicans want to tell a woman what to do with her body.”

“A fetus doesn’t have a beating heart for 52 days.”

I quickly changed the subject by asking her how many times she had unprotected sex with men she wasn’t committed to, it always cracks me up to see the dull glaze form when a pinko is forced to think.

But check out what tape recorded message came from her mouth next:

“Obama wants to give blacks reparations.”

Well, well, I wonder who pounded that information into her head?

That sounds like something that the Ku Klux Rodham Kampaign would be scaring their voters with, don’t it?

Ugly, ain’t it?

Mrs Godzilla,

Good point about the questions he asks. But it does seem his voter pool is getting broader and broader. Just ask my wife! My foreign dollar reference - should have been clearer - was during one of the debates - not the make nice one - where Hillary was coming out with some less than accurate hits. Then such a response may have been called for. Obama strikes me as the kind who can make the hard hits - but not come across as vindictive.

80 percent? Seems high to me. He does some good interviews - General Clark, Rev Jackson come to mind. Heck, even Kucinich had a good time there. Ron Paul got a tad frustrated.

With any of these folks - don’t have to like’em or hate’em. If they get accurate information out about the candidates I’m interested.
