Yeah, I know, “war” in Iraq has reduced the roles of “disease, death and famine.”
He should be happy to hear about Iran.
~~~~~
Look at the wormy Urinal trying to ease back into their anti American Iraq reports:
{{{{IRAQ DEVELOPMENTS- A drive-by shooting in Mosul killed a university professor and a student.-Urinal}}}}
Uh, yeah:
{{{{Man Injured in Drive Up Shooting Near Sunset and La Brea- January 30, 2008, Los Angeles.}}}}
Let me guess, there’s no political “progress” in Iraq either, right, scumbags?
~~~~~
{{{{METRO BRIEFS: Georgian among troops killed in (((ambush))) in Iraq-Urinal}}}}
Dictionary.Com- Ambush: an act or instance of lying concealed so as to attack by surprise: The highwaymen waited in ambush near the road.
{{{{They died from wounds suffered when their unit encountered an improvised explosive device during convoy operations Jan. 28 in Mosul, Iraq.-MNF-Iraq}}}}
The way the Urinal uses the word “ambush,” and they are doing this purposefully, is to convey an image of a strong enemy in Iraq.
Blowing a bomb up from thousands of yards away does not take much guts.
Neither does using your “news” paper to propagandize against America.
That’s why spineless gutless wonder pinkos are the ones doing it.
~~~~~
Ahh, yes, liberal democrat account keeping:
{{{{Atlanta budget deficit at $70 million-Urinal}}}}
A puny little city budget, with the highest taxes and surcharges in the Atlanta area, a major source of revenue from an airport that they hold hostage and they’re still losing money.
A fine example of what they would do to America.
{{{{After watching him huff and puff up the issue of race in a way that Americans have not seen since the presidential campaigns of the late George Wallace, the former Boy President, rather than being our first black president, is our second redneck president. Now, after his repeated acts of treachery in South Carolina, we see a Bill actively turning whites and blacks in his own party against each other. Moreover, he wants to encourage ill-will between Latinos and blacks within his party. He is making these invidious efforts purely to bring his family back to power. Though I have called him a sociopath, I thought that when it came to the issue of race he might be more scrupulous.}}}}
~~~~~
{{{{This was first brought to my attention by the Pakistani Consul General who came to offer condolences at our home in California. When we spoke about the anti-Semitic element in Danny’s (Pearl) murder she said: “What can you expect of these people who never saw a Jew in their lives and who have been exposed, day and night, to televised images of Israeli soldiers targeting and killing Palestinian children.”}}}}
{{{{At the time, it was not clear whether she was trying to exonerate Pakistan from responsibility for Danny’s murder, or to pass on the responsibility to European and Arab media for their persistent de-humanization of Jews, Americans and Israelis. The answer was unveiled in 2004, when a friend told me that photos of Muhammad Al Dura were used as background in the video tape of Danny’s murder.}}}}
{{{{Al Dura, readers may recall, is the 12-year-old Palestinian boy who allegedly died from Israeli bullets in Gaza in September of 2001. As we now know, the whole scene is very likely to have been a fraud, choreographed by stringers and cameramen of France 2, the official news channel of France. France 2 aired the tape repeatedly and distributed it all over the world to anyone who needed an excuse to ratchet up anger or violence, among them Danny’s killers.}}}}
{{{{The Pakistani Consul was right. The media cannot be totally exonerated from responsibility for Daniel’s murder, as well as for the “tsunami of hate” that has swept the world and continues to rise.}}}}
How many “atrocity” photos have you faked, Atlanta Journal Constitution?
How much blood do you have on your hands?

The American People: Fiddle-dee-dee. War, war, war; this war talk’s spoiling all the fun at every party this spring. I get so bored I could scream. Besides… there isn’t going to be any war.
John McCain: Not going to be any war? Why, honey, of course there’s gonna be a war.
The American People: If either of you boys says “war” just once again, I’ll go in the house and slam the door.
John McCain: But America, Don’t you want us to have a war?
If John McCain continues to talk about staying in Iraq for 20, 50 or 100 years, if he can’t talk about creating a lasting peace, the American people will not sit beside him at the barbeque.

Be sure to vote for a Repuglican if you want “other wars” — apparently 2 simultaenous occupations of foreign countries is not enough for those war-mongers!
And they don’t even want to talk about how many tours of duty our Nat’l Guard are having to pull in support of their war policies!
Get rid of the Repuglicans in November and we’ll get rid of a lot of terrorists who are emboldened by our endless occupation of their countries!

LONDON (Reuters) - More than one million Iraqis have died as a result of the conflict in their country since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, according to research conducted by one of Britain’s leading polling groups. The survey, conducted by Opinion Research Business (ORB) with 2,414 adults in face-to-face interviews, found that 20 percent of people had had at least one death in their household as a result of the conflict, rather than natural causes.
Now lets hear from the new generation of deniers.

I’m saying this as an Obama supporter, so take it as you will, but McCain is not a bad choice. As much as I’ve disagreed with our mess in Iraq—and disgusted with the way it violated the Powell doctrine—I’ve come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to maintain a presence for a few more years. We caused this mess, we have to be responsible for helping to fix it. We need to stop patrolling like occupiers as soon as a viable security force can take over an area. We should be less and less visible and only take part in operations that need our muscle. It’s sad, but there is honestly no other option. Whatever the Democrats say, if they manage to win, they will do no different—they can’t. I hope they can get more world assistance with the mess though.
I guess what I’m saying is that if Obama doesn’t get the nomination, McCain is a better option than Hillary. We’ve had enough Bushes and Clintons—throw the bums out.

Bleak 2008 ELECTION YEAR For an entire year we have been exposed to something similar to physical torture. Everywhere you turned during each and every one of the 365 days of the year 2007 you ran into the faces of 20 candidates for the presidency of the republic, endless TV and Radio commentary, article upon article with pros, cons and did you know?, sensational revelations about the type of toothpaste used by the candidates, videos, U-Tube, U-Save, U-Know, U-Bother Me, and an endless and shapeless diet of nonsense, inanity and so what! But now, in 2008 we will only have four candidates and toward the end only two. How are we going to substitute the relentless media attacks that have become an organic craving by now? We could make the election year of 2008 not only interesting but also lively to an extreme. I would start by taking Ralph Nader seriously and letting him get a spot in the line-up. Then I would get Pat Buchanan who can enlighten us with his own versions of our history. We will need Ross Perot to introduce a touch of Western sophistication and promote future wars. Then we must have Al Gore to replace the sleeping pills we take throughout the day. To demonstrate our total absence of racial prejudice we also invite an Asian like Mister Wu, my private nuclear physicist, the Al Sharpton-Reverend Jackson duet, the Mind of Mencia and, of course, Steven Colbert. How about Bill Clinton? you might ask. Save him for 2012!

Today’s ‘toon - yesterday morning’s discussion before server seemed to freeze - topic was cited along with McCain’s economy comments, which I cited in context.. Making an observation is different from advocating. Saying yeah, we’re gonna have more wars strikes me as realistic. After WWI the cry was “this was the war to end all wars.” People were tired of war and didn’t want to hear it. But someone who said “this wasn’t the last” would have been correct.
Remember the follow-on in a debate: “Sen Clinton, Sen McCain said this country would face wars in the future. Under your Presidency, can you say America will not under any circumstances have a war?” Followed, of course, by her commitment to invade a sovereign Arab nation, Pakistan, to kill OBL. Followed by a question along the lines of “after you invade Pakistan, if another ME country struck at America, are you saying you wouldn’t…”
Gets sticky, doesn’t it?
Same with mischaracterization of McCain’s economic comments. Rule of thumb: before belittling an opponent, make sure the same theme can’t be used against you.
For example, in a McCain-Obama debate: “Sen Obama, Sen McCain was criticized for saying he didn’t know as much about economics as he wanted to , in spite of the knowledge he gained serving as Chairman of the Commerce Committee. Do you, Sen Obama, know everything you need to know about foreign affairs, even though you haven’t served as chair on any such committees?”
Could use that to test Hillary’s “experience,” too.
As far as Romney’s no jobs coming back: if it’s Michigan and they are auto jobs, no kidding. Companies make the decision to build heavy, gas-hungry vehicles in interest of short-term profits, Congresses and Administrations aid them with no fuel economy adjustments or for giving thousands in tax credits for big SUVs, then the market changes and people buy other vehicles. Of course jobs aren’t going to stay the

Few days ago you seemed to imply Candidate Romney was responsible for Time-Warner showing adult shows in Marriott hotels, as Romney served on Marriott’s board. Following that same logic, where are the MediaMatters links showing Candidate Hillary’s responsibility for fighting for corporate interests over workers’ fair treatment, not allowing unions, as she served on WalMart’s board for six years? If they spin it that she began a program to bring more women to positions of power, I’m waiting to read their commentary on how ineffective a leader she was – 20 years later, and there are over a million women in a suit against WalMart for discrimination.

Mrs Godzilla,
McCain doesn’t seem to be a candidate who sticks to the script; hence, he sends his opponents to soundbite heaven. His comment was:
“Sen. John McCain told a crowd of supporters on Sunday, “It’s a tough war we’re in. It’s not going to be over right away. There’s going to be other wars.” Offering more of his increasingly bleak “straight talk,” he repeated the claim: “I’m sorry to tell you, there’s going to be other wars. We will never surrender but there will be other wars.”
Maybe there can be too much honesty? You make an excellent point - if he just would have followed it with “but my administration will engage Iran in talks, we will continue to work with…”
It would have been truncated by many outlets, but at least it wouldn’t have been so bleak.
BTW - my experience - military types are the last to advocate military force. It’s the civilians who always seem to want to forge ahead.

RB, you truly are an idiot. You’re obviously too stupid to see the implied “video game” reference that I made that so many “conservatives” seem to think how the “real-world” works.
The point is, if there is a draft, where EVERY American has to make a sacrifice for this war, then it would really make people think twice if war is really worth it. Because once you started to see middle and upper class white folks drafted in to Vietnam, that’s when the war started to end there.
So long as people can sit in their comfortable arm chair and look at the chaos on the teevee, what does it matter to him that some kid got his arms blown off? What does it matter to him that a guy just lost his son?
It doesn’t matter, and that’s why idiots like you will always push for more war, because you have nothing to lose, and nothing to stand for.

I was hoping you would go there simpleton. On 2 fronts.
First, NOBODY on the right wants more war. Get that through your thick skull. NOBODY!! Not McCain, not Bush, not me, not duh, NOBODY. What about that is so hard for you sound bite liberals to get? However, we will not roll over and let 3rd rate dictators push us around and we not surrender to a bunch of cave dwellers. If you haven’t yet figured out you prevent more wars by having a strong defense than by sticking your head in the sand and apologizing for having a standard of living, there is no hope for you. See Europe, late 30’s, early 40’s.
Second, the “if you had to participate” garbage. The same is true of all these social programs you socialist keep dreaming up. Every last damn one of them targets taking money from “rich white business owners” and gives it to you and every other do nothing who sits around whining about not having anything and blaming somebody else. I suspect if you and your ilk had to actually pay for the programs you keep stealing money from others to pay for, you wouldn’t be for them any more. If you want poor kids to have health insurance, then march your happy little self down to the shelter, pick you out a family, AND WRITE THE CHECK. Do you care enough to put up your money? I didn’t think so.

Man is the only creature who has no reason for being in nature. He evolved, but independent of the natural evolutionary cycle. He doesn’t trim or feed any herd to keep nature in balance like all other creatures do. The planet doesn’t depend on a Trump Tower. The groundhog doesn’t have 2 predict the weather. Robins dont have to announce spring.
there is absolutely no reason for man to be here at all.

Paul,
In regards to 10:46 when you said,
“Good thing Huckabee didn’t make such a reference he could “control” his wife. Some people here would really go nuts.”
Going back to my point from Huckabee yesterday. I was trying to hint around that the whole Huckabee and women’s rights thing was another media hysterical moment. The reason I addressed it to @@ was because she was carrying on about the Clintons and all Democrats being rascists, which is as absurd as to suggest that Mike Huckabee forces his wife to have sex whenever he wants to.
Although, I think it is a very serious lack in judgement to sign your name in such a high proile way - albeit 10 years ago - to an ad as backwards as that one was in USA today.
His response to the women issue was reasonable, even though I totally disagree with him in his theological believes. I’d be a hypocrit to say I believe everything in my churches doctrine.

Hey Political Foreskin,
I watched a show on Discovery Science about what the earth would be like if man suddenly disappeared.
Within 150 years the oceans would replenish the fish supplies and would cleanse themselves of man’s pollution, skies would be free of pollution, forests would regrow and earth, for the first time since the Industrial Revolution, would be in harmony. After 10,000 years, the only trace of man still existing would be the Great Pyramids of Egypt.

Hello Bosch
I wasn’t thinking of you when I referenced Huckabee. I was struck by Hillary’s “control” comment and how people will say “uh huh, good, good…” - yet doing the favorite candidate reversal exercise, reversing genders, and citing an evangelical to boot, the response from many would be outrage. What you see depends on where you’re sitting.
w00t
Vietnam was winding way down when draft was done and lottery came in. Johnson Administration made a decision to minimize Guard/Reserve involvement to, just as you say, keep the discontent from going even further. There was already quite enough.
But even a draft wouldn’t achieve the objectives you desire. That comes from wise statesmen on our side and on the other side. But the ideologies, hatreds, resource interests and such are too hardened and go too far back. Best avenue I see it to reduce our strategic dependence in volatile regions. If that means more refineries and drilling here, so be it. Same with nuclear. Same with tougher gas standards, vehicle design and vehicle propulsion. Everybody needs to compromise. But most don’t want to.
I pointed out once, tongue in cheek, that even a draft wouldn’t work unless all the recruits went into Army groundpounders or USMC. Navy’s not at risk. Air Force - air conditioned quarters and Barcoloungers - same for them. Heck, they send their officers to the front while the enlisted wave when they take off. Even in the Army and USMC we can’t have all in the front lines, so there will still be disparity.
It’s an understandable sentiment, though.

If we humans could, somehow, grandfather in a binding resolution that we will reduce the earth’s population to 3 billion by 2080, that would be a marvelous thing for humankind.

RB, they do want more war, just like McCain said: “I’m sorry to tell you, there’s going to be other wars. We will never surrender but there will be other wars.”
Where do you get the money for “other wars”? You don’t do it by dropping taxes, that’s for sure. To me, I feel like I am being stolen from when they ask for yet ANOTHER $70 Billion. 42% of your federal taxes from your paycheck goes towards defense. We spend more money on Defense than all of NATO combined. It’s ridiculous, and it shouldn’t be that way. Social programs here are nothing but a drop in the bucket compared to the monster that is Iraq and our defense budget. If conservatives want to talk about Eisenhower like they knew him they need to get a clue and understand that he was against over spending on Defense and thought that the money was better spent in our OWN country for the BETTERMENT of the AMERICAN people. Not by wasting billions if not trillions of dollars on foreign lands where we have no business being.
If republicans have the nerve to talk about how “congress” is overspending, they need to go right to the source of the money pit that is the Military-Industrial Complex.

Actually, as a percentage of outlays Defense is about a fifth. Human resources is over 60 percent. Let’s not even get into the sleight of hand with Social Security and Medicare.
But as far as what we spend compared to the rest of the world, it’s been like that for decades. You’re right about Eisenhower, he coined the “military-industrial complex” term.

Cut off all Alabama and Florida residents from water that originates in Georgia.
Train the Atlanta Police in military tactics and then pre-emptively attack Tehran because they might have WMD’s.
Eliminate all income taxes.
Close all public schools.
Deport everyone not born in Georgia, or who are gay, liberal, poor, or non-Christian.
Make NASCAR the national sport, then convert I-285 into a superspeedway (has that already happened?).
Solve the immigration problem by legalizing indentured servitude.
Allow people to avoid federal taxes by declaring themselves living and breathing mobile repositories of Jesus.
Require all residents to own concealable firearms, make a vow of chastity, reject alcoholic beverages except during football season, memorize all 11 verses of “Dixie”, and take a day off from work on Lester Maddox’s birthday.

Once again, your ignorance of the Bible shines through. How about this verse from the book of Luke.
“If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”
So tell me Bible scholar, how do you rebuke someone without judging them? the Bible doesn’t say not to point out sin, it says not to be arrogant about it as if you never sin yourself for you will also be judged. I’m ok with that. Are you?
Please either learn the Bible or stop quoting it. You’re embarrasing yourself.

This guy should really stick to being a racist and a Chinese Kampaign Kontribution Kollector, you know, his strong suits:
{{{{In a long, and interesting speech, Billy Klux characterized what the U.S. and other industrialized nations need to do to combat global warming this way: “We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions ‘cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren.”}}}}
{{{{“If you want that in America, if you want the millions of jobs that will come from it, if you would like to see a new energy trust fund to finance solar energy and wind energy and biomass and responsible bio-fuels and electric hybrid plug-in vehicles that will soon get 100 miles a gallon, if you want every facility in this country to be made maximally energy efficient that will create millions and millions and millions of jobs, vote for Misses Ku Klux Rodham. She’ll give it to you. She’s got the right energy plan.”}}}}
Let us, for one moment, imagine a new world where we would be able to plug our cars into our butts.
These liberals are freaking dangerous, if any of their goofy ideas were even viable then why wouldn’t the private sector already be turning a buck on them?
Why does the dumbas-s government have to force everything on us?
20 years, still no dependable electric car, electing a bigot to the presidency will somehow change this?
The government wants to “finance” solar energy, will this somehow make the clouds go away?

Nice duck, @@. I’m not talking about “conservation” or “potential”. I’m talking about simple numbers — exponential growth of large omnivores on a planet not suited for such numbers of them. “Potential” and “conservation” mean nothing when a population runs out of resources and starts dying out wholesale for lack thereof. This is what it looks like, and in 50 years the Asian tsunami that killed 300,000+ in a few hours will look like a quaint hiccup, much like the casualty totals from great wars of the Roman empire look insignificant compared to a single day at Stalingrad. Hannibal’s famous Battle at Cannae claimed 70,000 Roman lives (and incurred losses of 6,000 for him). Overall there were 136,000 casualties. Stalingrad claimed 1.5 million casualties. Any questions?

I have to go get some Picadillo started for company, but real quick:
Paul Ehrlich got this going in the 60s with “The Population Bomb.” Bit of hysteria. Most “predictions” way off mark. Some scandalous actions in UN in that time frame - using his data rather than data developed by UN teams. Anyhow, he was wrong on nearly everything. (UN) 1900-2000 pop grew from 1.6b to 6.1b - fourfold - but world GDP grew from 20 to 40 times. Nearly 20 years ago, UNFAO report stated that with then-present technologies we could feed 35 billion.
It’s a recycled argument. Many of the arguments and much of the data are still the same. Some profs who were students in the 60s never updated their outlook. Or their books. Or their data. Tenure is a wonderful thing.
Make a difference - work on the distribution system. Work to make third-world and some “civilized” world officials less corrupt. Encourage efforts to steer some 21st-century peoples away from tribalism and towards a view of shared humanity.
That’s one of the things I like about religion. It encourages faith in the goodness of creation and the recognition of ultimate reality. Genesis: creation. Creation’s complete. Revelation: its place is symbolic. God is revealed thru creation. Answers are there, just need to be discovered (uncover, remove the cover from; see what is) or revealed.
Gotta get the picadillo started -

Paul — this is not about spin. This is about simple math. We need to eat. OK, what do we eat? Well, fish for one. But our oceans are already getting overfished, due to increased demand. What else? Meat. Yes, but animals need grain and other foodstuffs, so we need to set aside large swaths of land for their food. Bread. Fine, but wheat areas are needed to plant oats to feed cattle. Don’t even get started on water. And I could keep going. Yes, technology is allowing human beings to squeeze ever more out of Earth. But that’s still finite. Meanwhile these advances are slow and minute, while population growth is exponential. Just because someone in the dreaded “60s” realized this problem does not mean it’s gone away by now. It’s a catch-22: the better technology gets, the more we get out of the Earth, the longer we live, the faster the population grows until… what? The inevitable collapse? If you think that laws of evolution (specifically what happens to an unchecked population in the wild) have stopped applying to our species I fear you, and the rest of us, are in for a rude awakening. If not in your lifetime, maybe in mine. And if not in mine, maybe in my (possible) children’s.

Just thought I’d drop by and tell y’all an interesting story:
I was talking with this liberal idiot who mentioned that Gov. Huckabee, and a lot of other good God-fearing Americans who love their country, had said that Saddam had WMD’s but sent them to another country (Syria or Jordan I think in this instance) prior to the invasion. This liberal moron said that such a line of thinking to justify the Iraq invasion was “absurd.” So I inquired why?
He said that “if the fear of proliferation of WMD’s into the hands of terrorists was the justification for the war then we caused exactly what we didn’t want to have happen. That is, WMD’s floating around unaccounted for, and in unknown locations, with access by unknown persons. The world in essence, is less safe because it caused Saddam to put the WMD’s out there where they could be used anytime and anywhere and by anyone, assuming, of course, the premise is true.”
My response was: “why can’t you just support the troops?”
And then he says that “McCain justifies the war by saying that the world is better off without Saddam in power. My question is wouldn’t any Republican say the world would be better off without a Democrat in the White House? And if so, what does that portend for the next Democrat President? Are you all gonna shoot him/her?”
I looked at him straight in the eye and said: “Seriously, dude, why do you hate America?”
He shook his head and walked away…idiot.
Can any of you people explain what this guy was trying to say? It just sounded way too, I don’t know, ‘logical’ to compute in my right-wing brain.

I have faith in the adaptability of Mankind. Much of what you describe is predicated on many factors remaining the same. They won’t. Petroleum? Alternatives exist - some discovered, some yet to be. Resource allocation problems? Fixable - without the hatreds, that is. Resource-intensive practices for political purposes (okay, ethanol) - we started it, we can stop. Same with other items. Same with dietary changes. Rather like those survival exercises where you get a bunch of mundane items and get turned loose in a (classroom) setting. Time limit comes and you’ve bought the farm. Then the instructor reveals to you the uses to which you could have put the mundane items. More than survive, you could sustain and be on your way to flourishing. The answers were always there.
Much of change isn’t “good” or “bad” - it’s just different. It’s the effects are “good” or “bad.”

Yes I have to agree — Over-Population will be a serious bane to this world - It’s already hapening in 3rd world countries, and even modernized countries. China can tell you about population explosions and their extreme controls. To have a child you must get government approval. That ring a bell?
Take Mexico for example with the strong Catholic presence and their - “No Birth Control” stance. Now they are finding it harder to sustain their excessive population in that country. Plenty of people in Mexico to work the fields and industry, just not enough resources to work on.
But Nature has some great population reducing qualitys to help balance things out,
— Disease (Bird Flu anyone? new strains of Ebola?)
— Famine…
Oh and believe it or not - too high a population in any species has a nice effect of creating high stress levels, and eventually those animals start fighting with each other — (War anyone?)…
But if it does all go to craaaaaap — and we find that we have no food left, - just remember….

Paul — I’m sorry, but I really can’t bring myself to look at what will probably the biggest disaster in human history and have “faith” that we will avert it. Having blind faith is easy for a religious person, but I’m not one.
So the situation is simple. Right now human population is growing at an exponential rate. There are 2 options: either this trend will continue indefinitely or it won’t. The first option seems to be ruled out by several factors, such as, for one, the laws of physics. So at a certain point we will reach a situation when human beings can simply no longer grow any more. That may be 30 billion people, that may be 30 trillion people. The number itself does not matter, the concept does. So at a certain point human population will have to stop growing, if only because the total mass of humanity will now equal the total mass of the planet Earth. The question is: how is that going to happen? Now the religious element on this board doesn’t believe in math or science, so they simply refuse to accept this obvious fact. Fortunately many people out there don’t choose to live in blissful ignorance. So my question to you is: what is going to happen to make human population plateau (if not drop)? Think about it for a second, and you’ll see that there is no “good” answer.

When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.}}}}

Well! It looks like @@ won that exchange! We’re not worthy. Rushncap will never be the same. His career in ruins. He’ll be selling blankets at the airport.
BTW Everyone: @@ described her life yesterday. She mentioned how she’s average, and then wrote out a criteria from which she concluded that she was leading a just-average life, listing items which she would consider an elitist might consume if he/she were included in the league of extraordinary bipeds. Anyway, it was Possibly the funniest, and most endearing blog I’ve read in ten years, and it’s why I simply cant get mad at @@ anymore. Prime rib! I love it. What a good person you are @@.
Rushncap, if that’s you, then here’s a refresher course in Troll 101: Never, ever ever reply to a troll. There’s never an upside. You can win a thousand times and totally impress everyone with your devastating double entendres, and the troll wont go away. Sorry but that’s like the first thing you learn in Troll

Just another death wish from RW. Typical. That’s all he’s got. RW, I’m sorry that your party is in such disarray, but dont despair. The pendulum always swings the other way. The democrats always blow it.
Hillary will only have one term. That’s a guarantee. All we can pray for is a lesbo scandal. I’ve got it bad for lesbo’s man, I dont know about you, but I think they rule.

I had a dream about Britney last night. I was taking care of her while she sobered up. Helping her out in her time of need.
Then woke up and saw the motorcade taking her away to where Andy dwells.
Anyhoo, I must be psychic or something.

Not blind faith. Just faith in the adaptability and potential of mankind.
If things progress as they are, I agree - it will be difficult. But what is does not have to be.
I’m sure there will be some naturally-occurring that will have some ill effect. A greater danger is what we just may do to each other.
Just think about this. Go back 1000 years. Heck, 500. Look at how people lived. Then describe the metropolises we have. Would have been unimaginable.
But that’s just physical containment. More to the point: ever reviewed any papers from 50,30 years ago speculating what life would be like now? Most are way, way off the mark. Why? Because the technologies, or those upon which they were based, had not even been dreamed of at the time the speculation occurred.
But, if you want to adhere to a voluntary “cull the herd” view, you’ll enjoy this:

@@ — last post to you for the day. When I say “I’m done with you” what’s implied is “for now”. That doesn’t mean I won’t come back tomorrow or in a week or in a month to slap you around some more. It’s just that for today you have exhausted your amusement value and have crossed the line into “boring psycho b!tch”. As such, I’m not longer entertained by you, so I’m done.
Foreskin — you’re right, of course. I guess that’s just a fault with me — I’m an optimist. Every so often I think “well, maybe today she’ll be able to hold a normal discussion about a topic”, and without fail I’m reminded that, well, no, no she can’t. It’s my fault, and I accept it. I guess that’s like coming up to a tiger every few months and saying “well, maybe today he’ll become vegan”. The tiger’s not to blame when he chews your arm off, you’re to blame for being so dumb. So you’re right, oh so right…

I’m surprized you left off the obvious liberal solution to the problem. We’ll all just evolve into dirt eating beings or something. Isn’t that what you evolution people keep saying? Everything changes to adapt to it’s surroundings or something like that? Don’t have that much faith in evolution either, eh?

Our boy Huckabee’s doing his job. Bob was smart to sell Terry on giving the green light to our people in New Hampshire to give Mike the money he needed to stay afloat until The Tuesday. We get from his people this afternoon that he’s going to be able to hold out until then. Which is great because Bill told us to do what it takes to help Mike enough so’s CTA wouldn’t have to spend down our West Coast chest. Nothing but good news from Huckabee and everyone here’s happy but me, since Bob gets another feather in his cap the durty bastid. You suck Bob!
Just kidding. Mike’s looking like the token Reep Hillary’s gonna name for the new cabinet. Fine by me and Bob. We never thought of him as the enemy anyway. Guy was with Jimmy and the crew in SBC and as Governor he basically gave us a blank check and kept our people in labor very happy so its just understood that the guy has our politics. Bill says he made a good “Steward of the Dream” in Little Rock. We even thought of having him say that to CNN or somebody so Mike could use it for a little boost. But Hill said too obvious.
Doesn’t matter. Main thing is he’s the spoiler she needed so she can run against McInsane. If we had to have gone against the other I don’t think anybody in the whole Devil’s Workshop woulda known how exactly to take out Mr. Goody-2-Shoes. McC though we can paint any way we want to any audience on any given day. A dream enemy. He’s so damn dumb he doesn’t even know what’s going to hit him. He’s spent his whole career as a Reep making himself a pig in a poke—I mean what does he expect? Like we’re not going to point out to voters that that’s what they’ll get if they give it up for him?
Nobody’s that stupid. Nobody’s as stupid as McInsane.

Paul — please tell me that you haven’t been reading @@/RW/RB’s posts to glean what my view is. I’d lose all respect for you.
So first of all, I don’t have an easy solution. I never said I did. However, just because ~I~ don’t have a solution, does that mean there is no problem? I don’t know how to cure cancer either, that doesn’t mean it’s not killing people. But I AM saying that we need to start investigating possible solutions now, rather than when we wake up and find that 4 billion people died of starvation in Africa or Asia.
And yes, most predictions about the future miss their mark. That does not mean that we’ll somehow turn into beings which need not consume any energy to survive. 2nd law of thermodynamics prevents that from happening. So unless that gets repealed we will always need resources, of whatever sort. And if you look back 10, 100, 1000, 1000000, 1000000000 or more years, every creature on this planet has needed food. You can stack human beings miles high, they’ll still need a hamburger now and then.
RB, your post requires about as much response as someone asking a baseball player why he doesn’t just drive a car to get around the bases faster.

Dreaming about Britney?
Back in the Mickey Mouse days it was like off limits and then she got fat.
You’re really sick, man.

Isn’t it funny how the writers of the Bible knew the things that the pinkos of today would whine about, 2000 years before they did it?
Jesus probably spent his time on Earth thinking “My God, our liberal children are silly.”
I always laugh when they get to the libs in the Bible, “I can’t walk on water,” or “you want me to fight all these Palestinians with just two hundred men?”
When will you morons ever learn to listen to Him?

‘Course not! I can arrive at my own conclusions, thank you veddy much.
Neither do I think the solutions are easy. Or even am sure what they are. Only that there is an answer there if mankind will avail itself of it.
I also agree that the time to begin is - yesterday.
I just don’t think the future is bleak, or hopeless. Quite the contrary.
