Nice toon Mikey. Siamese twins joined at the hip. Lately, I am sure that is the only place they are joining together.

Two heads^^ are more whiny than one?
~~~~~
{{{{Still, there is something troubling about the rush to execute accused criminals on the cheap. If the state of Georgia insists on carrying out the ultimate penalty, it should be prepared to pay the price to make sure the defendant has received a fair trial.-Queen Pinko, Urinal}}}}
Is she talking about defending one of our brave soldiers?
Are libs standing up for those unfairly accused troops?
Uh, of course not, whimpering for Brian Nichols, who should have been shot dead in the squad car the day he was arrested.
It ain’t like he’s innocent.
~~~~~
{{{{Actor Heath Ledger found dead in NYC…}}}}
Gracious and Eternal Father, open the doors to your Kingdom wide and allow this young man to make the choice that he was denied by the secular human beings here on this miserable Earth. Let him see the Wonders of Life without death and to once and for all choose forever the path of righteousness, for on this Earth, he knew not what he did. I say these things in the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
~~~~~
You have to wonder why the libs like McCain so much:
{{{{Taking the microphone, McCain stood before giant U.S. flags and opened his remarks at both venues thanking veterans and promising to fix the veterans health care system “so that you’re not treated as a second-class citizen. ” You and I know that our veterans health care is not what it should be,” he said and then whipped out a card from his suit jacket with a quote from George Washington and read it aloud to his audiences.-Washington Post}}}}
They sound damn near orgasmic, don’t they?
Is this John McCain they are talking about or the second coming of Vladmir Lenin?
Ask yourself this, confused young Conservatives, was Ronald Reagan ever praised by the libs like this?
John McCain, sir, you are no Ronald Reagan.
Bwa.
The good news from Iraq that the Code Pinkos at the Urinal refuse to print:
{{{{BAQUBA — Coalition Forces liberated two Iraqi males with signs of torture from an al-Qaeda prison near Arab Jabar, south of Baquba in the early morning hours of Jan. 20.}}}}
Gee, I thought the Americans were the ones doing the torture???
What’s up with dis?
Did we rescue them so that we could take over the torture duties?
Duh, freaking duh.
{{{{“I have been reading about Diyala lately, but I haven’t really had a chance to see it, and you got a real sense that there is much improvement,” said Huda Had al-Hamed, a reporter with al-Jazeera International. “The Iraqi Army was very proud to be here and to be able to do this. They were extremely professional. There is a way out of the madness and violence in Iraq. I think the way is long and complicated, but when you see days like this, you realize that there is a way out.”}}}}
Hearts and minds, baby, hearts and minds.
{{{{At the rally itself, Obama took the stage to a rousing ovation that lasted over a minute and included sustained chants of “O-BAM-A.” By contrast, the polite reception Clinton received, mostly from her section of supporters, was muted. She was able to begin her speech within 10 seconds of her name being announced.}}}}
~~~~~
{{{{While folks who listen to Limbaugh can proclaim their core beliefs from the rooftops, liberal “values” must be slowly indoctrinated into the mainstream. This is why liberal talk radio is such a failure. Except for their radical base, not many people can take the left-wing mantra straight up. To succeed, they must cloak their message in pleasant euphemisms like “choice” and “equal rights.”}}}}
{{{{Whatever polls may say, the majority of the American people do not embrace higher taxes, the culture of perpetual victimhood, government intervention in their lives, the taking of innocent life, and the defeat of our military at the hands of those who would see us all dead.}}}}

One of our favorite Bill Clinton anecdotes involves a confrontation he had with Bob Dole in the Oval Office after the 1996 election. Mr. Dole protested Mr. Clinton’s attack ads claiming the Republican wanted to harm Medicare, but the President merely smiled that Bubba grin and said, “You gotta do what you gotta do.”

Congressman Bennie Thompson endorses Barack Obama. Business will get to keep their cheap illegal labor.
Washington Times
A Mississippi Democrat in line to become chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee has warned the nation’s largest uniform supplier it faces criminal charges if it follows a White House proposal to recheck workers with mismatched Social Security numbers and fire those who cannot resolve the discrepancy in 60 days.
Rep. Bennie Thompson said in a letter to Cintas Corp. it could be charged with “illegal activities in violation of state and federal law” if any of its 32,000 employees are terminated because they gave incorrect Social Security numbers to be hired.
In June, President Bush proposed new guidelines concerning “no-match” letters from the Social Security Administration, saying he wanted to make it easier for employers to verify workers’ eligibility and continue to hold them accountable for those they hire.
The Department of Homeland Security followed up on that announcement yesterday, formally releasing new regulations to help businesses comply with hiring requirements intended to reduce the hiring of illegal aliens — including setting guidelines for businesses when handling “no-match” letters from the Social Security Administration.
The proposed regulation is subject to a 60-day public comment period.
But Mr. Thompson called the “no-match” letters a threat to workers who fail to reverify their information and called Cintas’ actions a “rash enactment of a proposed DHS regulation.” He said that by implementing “this incomplete regulation,” Cintas could be in violation of federal immigration law.
The seven-term congressman also said before the proposal becomes law, it must go through a rule-making process, “which could radically change the regulation or kill it all together.”
As Homeland Security Committee chairman, he would set the panel’s agenda. Earlier this month, he also said Democrats planned to “revisit” legislation mandating 698 miles of fencing on the U.S.-Mexico border and might seek to scrap the plan.
Beware the democrats illegal invasion!

I feel it is my duty to educate all of you as to who I am:
In contemporary usage, the adjective gay usually describes a person’s sexual orientation, being the standard term for homosexual. In earlier usage, the word meant “carefree”, “happy”, or “bright and showy”, though this usage is infrequent today. Gay sometimes also refers to commonalities shared by homosexual people, as in “gay history”, the ideological concept of gay culture as in “gay music” or “gay sensibility” which is neither definable or accurate. The word gay is sometimes used to refer to same-sex relationships more generally, as in “gay marriage”, although this usage is discouraged by some LGBT supporters: the rationale is that this usage is exclusive of not only bisexual and transgender people but also lesbians who generally reject labels of being a subset of men, even gay men. While gay applies in some contexts to all homosexual people, the term lesbian is sex-specific: it is used exclusively to describe gay women. Sometimes gay is used to refer only to men.

A few months back, Consumer Reports rated Trend Micro Internet Security suite as a top-notch product. Includes antivirus, antispyware, firewall - and is light on system resources. Plus, the entire thing costs about the same as programs that are just antivirus. Runs about 45 or 50 bucks. A good idea for anyone - whether with a $300 eMachines or a $3800 Dell.
BTW - it’s ideology, not racism, propelling Muslim jihadists. They’ll happily slaughter other Muslims (men, women, children) with the wrong skin color. Witness Sudan.
A suggestion - you may want to consider another argument style to entice voters to support Obama. As RW pointed out to me, these boards get read by a lot of people who never post.
But you’ll have to convince @@ with reasoned argument that Obama would be more effective than an opponent in conducting worldwide antiterrorist operations. That will be no small task.
getalife 10:07
Well, you may be correct on something (you’re supposed to smile now). Our discussion the other day - if the budget deficit would be erased if we didn’t spend what we were spending in Iraq. From reading many posters, I was under the impression the deficit was downright huge. Enormous. Leading to financial ruin. I checked some sources - seems last year it was just over $200 billion. Not exactly the end of the world. Without spending too much time digging for supporting facts but based upon past reading, I’d guess including reconstruction costs, plus additive military costs, of our spending in Iraq, would come close to a wash if compared to the deficit. Past years - a different story. But for now, seems close.
But the cynic in me says, absent Iraq, Congress would still be profligate. They will spend every dollar they get (and then some) from every source they can find.
But we can do both, without increasing taxes. Just as Ron Paul.

Actually Paul,
The $696 billion is for defense.
Lets compare:
United States (FY08 budget), $696 billion China (2004), $65 billion Russia, $50 billion France (2005), $45 billion Japan (2007), $41.75 billion Germany (2003), $35.1 billion Italy (2003), $28.2 billion South Korea (2003), $21.1 billion India (2005 est.), $19 billion Saudi Arabia (2005 est.), $18 billionYou need to factor in the borrowed money that they continue to borrow like junkies that can’t stop. The banks are begging the Saudis for billions and selling assets to cover this debt. The United States of Arabia because the China has cut off lending to these banks.
Who will pay this bill Paul?
It will not be the me generation, it will be future generations.

If anyone has ever had to pay a traffic ticket in DeKalb County, then you would know that ANYTHING proposed by the Clintons could not possibly work. I have called the number for over 40 minutes, no answer, not even a busy signal. Yet these people want to put petty bureaucrats in charge of the health care system when they cannot even run traffic court efficiently. Hell, I’m guilty. I just want to pay the fine!!!! I cannot even do that. I wonder if I am even in the system, but I will never know because no one even answers the phone.

Yes, the wingnuts are coming unhinged.
Was it this that made your heads explodes:
“President George W. Bush and seven of his administration’s top officials, including Vice President Dick Cheney, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, made at least 935 false statements in the two years following September 11, 2001, about the national security threat posed by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. Nearly five years after the U.S. invasion of Iraq, an exhaustive examination of the record shows that the statements were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses.”

I have said, and still stand by, “If Hillary gets the Democratic nomination, I will support her with everything I’ve got.” However, she remains NOT my first choice.
This piece of a piece by Ben Smith at Politico says it very well.
“However, something funny has happened the last couple of days that was crystallized amongst those watching highlights of last night’s debate. Around the office today, a number of women who were definitely in the Hillary camp are starting to feel a little sick to their stomach about the role Bill Clinton’s is playing. One remarked that she thought she would be voting for the first women president, not a trojan horse for Bill Clinton’s overactive ambition. Another friend I thought last week would definitely vote for Hillary labeled them the “Dynastic Duo” this morning and said she may switch to Obama…….I think the media is missing the point like they did in NH. Bill’s role as of late is undermining the very strength derived from her seeming historic candidacy”
I was at the IBEW union hall last Saturday afternoon listening to and shaking the hand of my first choice.

The flaw I see in that scenario Dick Morris lays out is that Hillary got out of Dodge so the black community is likely to say that Bill always liked them but she took her shots at the brother and left town so she didn’t come to them hat in hand asking for their support.

Sad. But True. I wonder why politicians have to break everything down in the all powerful, all consuming, search for more political clout? The Clintons may do more harm to the party by their continued political ploys than any Repug has ever done.
I’m with you Mrs. G — I’ll vote for whoever the Party picks to represent the Dems in the next election. ANYTHING to stop another lame, illiterate, drunken, pretzel choking repug from sitting (and lieing) in office for another 4 years!!!

This is what King and Queen Bigot think is “fair and equal treatment” for running against the black man:
{{{{Now Bill is returning the favor by attacking Mr. Obama; at the same time, other surrogates raise his long-ago cocaine use, only to apologize after it’s been widely reported. News reports also say that so-called robo-calls in Nevada repeatedly referred to Mr. Obama by his middle name, “Hussein.” And emails suddenly appeared last week on Jewish lists accusing the African-American Senator of being fond of Louis Farrakhan. Mr. Obama had to disavow Mr. Farrakhan and his associates.}}}}
{{{{Meanwhile, Mrs. Clinton can claim to disapprove of these attacks, and even assert that she herself is being unfairly picked on by the media because she’s a woman. She wants to make the primary contest about race and gender, rather than about Mr. Obama’s larger, more inspiring message of change. She can then diminish Mr. Obama and make the choice a trench fight for the votes of typical Democratic constituencies. You gotta do what you gotta do.}}}}
This is “change?”

We’ve spent more on defense each year than our allies put together, our allies and many enemies put together – heck, even more than many countries’ entire budgets - for decades, now. Literally. This huge difference between what we spend had what the rest of the world spends didn’t start with Iraq.
Nothing much would change in that regard if we weren’t in Iraq. The key question there is, how much are we spending that is solely attributable to Iraq? When I was out I skimmed the latest Time – columnist tossed out a number of $9 billion a month (not sourced). That’s $108b a year for Iraq. About half the deficit for the year.
But even $108b a year is a big chunk of change.

Mrs Godzilla,
My impression (italics, there) is that in the last few months there hasn’t been a lot of changes in the Democratic agenda, aside from emphasis on economy and deemphasis on Iraq.
His style struck me more like Hillary’s - issue based - while Obama was more on a theme. I’d wondered if he couldn’t have had more support if he’d developed more mainstream (dirty idea to some, I know) than going for a particular element within the Democratic power structure early on. He did better in the 2004 primaries.
getalife 4:01
I’ll hazard a guess that even if we’d never gone to Iraq and had no deficit there’d still be the same health care arguments.
BTW - someone should let the Representative know many billions go from citizen one to citizen two, even when citizen two has a better living situation than citizen one.

Mrs. G,
I’m surprised that you as an Edwards supporter wouldn’t be a little more familiar with his career, assuming you weren’t just feigning ignorance as a dodge.
Linking complications during childbirth to cerebral palsy became a specialty for Mr. Edwards. In the courtroom, he was known to dramatize the events at birth by speaking to jurors as if he were the unborn baby, begging for help, begging to be let out of the womb. “He was very good at it,” said Dr. John Schmitt, an obstetrician and gynecologist who used to practice in Mr. Edwards’ hometown of Raleigh. “But the science behind a lot of his arguments was flawed.”
And lest you think this is more demagoguery from the VRWC Edwards was quite proud of his ability to channel the unborn in the court room and included it in his book Four Trials.
{{{{Many of Four Trials’s courtroom scenes, in fact, illustrate how Edwards’s ability to understand individuals translated in legal victories for his clients. Edwards often seems the master of knowing exactly what jurors needed to hear in order to return a certain outcome. Outside the courtroom, some of Edwards’s closing arguments can seem corny or even overly dramatic, but that his methods proved effective is beyond question. During the trial against a negligent doctor, for example, Edwards describes how he actually channeled the voice of his young client to speak directly to the jury. “She speaks to you through me,” Edwards said to the jury during his closing argument. “Right now I feel her, I feel her presence; she’s inside me, and she’s talking to you….She asks you to take this burden that she’s carried for six years off of Peggy and Jeff Campbell…and to put it where it belongs.”}}}}

And when he excoriates politicians for “letting this happen,” he’s directing his fire at Congressional Black Caucus members who support open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens. “Massive illegal immigration has been devastating to my community,” Anderson, a former auto mechanic and longtime South Central Los Angeles resident, tells listeners. “Black Americans are hit the hardest.”

Like a child on CHRISTmas morning before a tree full of unexpected presents, Luckoduh opens another gift and, to his joyous amazement, finds Ku Klux Klintoon yelling at a Clinton News Network Infobabe:
{{{{“Are you saying the Obama camp is bringing up these racial issues?,” asked CNN reporter Jessica Yellin.}}}}
{{{{“You want another story. I’m not gonna get in a fight with him, I’m just gonna answer what the facts are. There are indisputable facts. You wanna make this about words and name calling. I hate it,” Clinton said after a campaign event at Huger’s Restaurant in Charleston.}}}}
{{{{For many reporters, it was hard to hear exactly what set the former president off, but it quickly became clear he wasn’t happy.}}}}
{{{{Then Clinton appeared angry with the reporter for asking the question.}}}}
{{{{“You asked me about this. You sat through this whole meeting. Not one, single solitary soul asked me about this. And they never do,” he said.}}}}
{{{{“They’re feeding you this because they know this is what you want. This is what you live for. This hurts the people of South Carolina, because the people of South Carolina ask questions about what they care about,” he said. “And what they care about is not gonna be in the news coverage tonight, because you don’t care about it. What you care about is this. And the Obama people know that. So they just spin you up on this, and you happily go along. The people don’t care about this. They never ask about it. And you are determined to take this election away from them. That’s not right. That is not right. This election oughta belong to those people who are out there asking questions about their lives.”}}}}
{{{{As he left the restaurant surrounded by secret service, Clinton seemed to cool down. He smiled as he left and said to the reporter, “One more story. Shame on you. Shame on you!” Clinton said.}}}}
Geez, what a psycho.

The Silky Pony yells from stage left, just outside of the camera frame, that he’s still relevant. He isn’t but it’s fun to watch him wildly wave his hand in the air hoping the teacher will call on him.
“After the debate she flew out and she’s been gone and she won’t be back until I don’t know - later in the week or until primary day,” Edwards told a crowd of about 150 people in this small city. “What are the chances she’s coming back when she’s president of the United States?”
But speaking of flying out right after the debate, who was that letting DL play with his hair?
