And so begins the end of our long national nightmare, the closing chapter on a fifteen and a half year pestilence, goober and his “wife,” soon to be sent packing back to the rat infested ArKKKansas hovel from whence they came, with a new label attached to them, not the usual sweet sing song propaganda that the pinko media made up for them all these years, no, they will begone from here wearing the very fitting tag of LOSERS on their as-s.

So be it.

~~~~~
And check this out:
{{{{“I know we are seeing incredible participation right now,” said Carrie Giddins, spokeswoman for the Iowa Democratic Party.}}}}
Yeah, participation from the thousands upon thousands of people that the democrat campaigns bused in from other states, gave rides to the polls and baby sat for their children.
Who knows how many Chinese people Clintoon had trucked in.
And just imagine how many millions It spent.
It still lost.
Bwa.
Look at the cartoon and see how hard the libs are fighting now to “out” a couple of CIA agents, isn’t the irony just so delicious?
Huckabee Chair Caught Trashing Romney, Dropping F-Bomb
Leave it to the redneck, inbred, evangelical “right” to vote for a man with northing more than an associate’s degree in divinity. He is a man that should have stayed a Baptist preacher, a man who has no experience in dealing with the real issues of the world. Other than saying, God will show me the way. A president is someone that you admire and that stands above you with. He’s not someone that could be your neighbor or that “you could have a beer with”. Is that what we want, someone that has a very narrow world view, and thinks that the earth was created in six days, and looks down on science and education?
It’s a sad time for America if Huckabee becomes president. It is only a matter of time before we become the Theocracy that these crazed evangelicals want.
If Obama doesn’t screw up big-time, he will win in New Hampshire and lock up the nomination by Feb 5th. The GOP and their cronies at Fox ‘News’ and on hate radio better start making up their lies and developing their smears quick, or Barack Obama will steamroll anybody the Grumpy Old men Party can throw out there.
Great piece by David Brooks of the NYT here.
He accurately describes the wave behind Huckabee. Those of you that harp on his short termed gains as religious zealots trying to un-separate church and state have it all wrong, and frankly aren’t really paying attention.
I like Huck, but he has acted a little wacky lately, and probably can’t carry the wave to a nomination. My prediction is that Romney is now damaged goods, McCain wins NH and he rides the wave to the nomination, despite not polling so well nationally.
Against Clinton, McCain destroys her. She has 0 credibility. Last night in her speach, she seemed to need someone to whisper in her ear to tell her what she thinks. Obama is savvy, but change + experience beats change alone.
heh heh heh, Hillary has been Bill’s doormat for decades, now both Barack and John have wiped their feet on her. This tells me that Hillarity does not have the Right Stuff to go toe to toe with Akmed and Abdul, let alone Cho and Mikhail. Send her back to New York with her tail between her two hind legs. Torture would be 4 years of world leaders wiping their feet on America with Hillarity as President.
In THE NEWS: what was the democratic vote count? I know the percentages, but what was the overall vote count? Please make yourself useful, and maybe we peace-out, and then it’s on to New hampshire where hillary will win there……
Anyone notice how I am using double reverse psychology on voters to ensure an Obama win? By pretending to endorse Hillary, I badger voters to vote for the polar-bear opposite of her, ensuring her swan song. Can you find the three animals named in that last sentence? Are you a moron? Can you find the nitwit in that last sentence. Duhng blows. Can you find the only word that Duhng knows in that last sentence. (Hint it rhymes)
Okay, now that I’ve got your undivided attention, and boy, have I got that, how about Luckovich’s “the dog ate my homework” tribute to my blog from a couple of days ago, eh?
It’s so ingratiating when either by chance or by happenstance, (certainly not by restroom tapdance), I am zeroed in on a Luckovich cartoon.
RW (the original). I read (this morning) your 5:47 from yesterday. For your information, I am also in favor of term limits. While the Democrats were in control, the Republicans were shouting to high heaven about term limits. When the Republicans took over, you didn’t hear squat about term limits (still don’t). Oh yes, I know the Dems have a slight majority now, but not enough to accomplish what needs to be done. Still too many wishy-washy Dems trying to get reelected. Hopefully that will soon change! The one and only Aunt Josie is in favor of term limits at all levels of government.
This has nothing to do with anything but I heard it on the radio this morning.
Iguanas are falling out of the trees in Key Biscayne onto joggers below. The cold weather made them inactive and they lost their grips on the tree branches. They can grow to as long as 6 feet. They are OK, thay become active again as the temperature rises, as it is down here now. They are ex-pets people relased when they got too big to take care of.
YIKES, that would scare the crap out of me.
When I worked at a law office, I remember encountering the document-destruction policy of various U.S. automakers: “Burn all the test records, so they can’t be used against us!”
Seems like Bush has learned from Nixon on that principle. “Accountability” is still a dirty word in his administration—for those who can pronounce it, that is.
Obama is using the unity argument for change and the wingnuts will show up for Gomer Pyle.
{{{{Clintoon is in trouble, and It knows it. It’s flat concession speech, gracious under the circumstances, reflected the devastating facts. It’s third-place finish, 9 points behind Obama and a single point behind John Edwards, is irrefutable proof that the aura of invincibility is gone.}}}}
{{{{The nostalgia for the ’90s, a move for a restoration of the Clintoon presidency, isn’t a persuasive rationale. The flaw was on display in It’s speech - surrounded by Bill and some of his old aides, It was a tableau of the past, not the future.}}}}
{{{{SO MUCH FOR THE inevitability of Hillary Clintoon as the Democratic presidential nominee. The biggest story in the world today is the defeat of Clintoon and the entire Clintoon political machine, led by It’s “husband,” former President Bill Clintoon, in the Iowa caucuses. It turns out that taping CIA interrogations and then destroying the tapes is a routine procedure. The tapes are made so the analysts can look at the body language of the one being interrogated to determine whether they are being deceptive or not.
The tapes are then destroyed to keep from outing the agents and we all know how sincere you moonbat(ic)s® are about not outing a CIA agent. Or is just desk jockey’s pretending to be spies you’re concerned with?
What a great month it has been!
God is a Republican! There can no longer be any doubt. High Fives everyone.
First Sonny Perdue gets us all wet with his “Pray For Rain” bonanza! Look what happened when rain became a prayer priority! A flood of rain. Its no coincidence that we got a heavy rain after high school football and Christmas. Thats the busiest Prayer season of the year. “Pray for Rain” can’t compete with “Jesus please give me a toy machine gun for Christmas.”
Next, I got the Rolls I’ve been praying years for. Merry Christmas.
Now this. I’ve been praying hard for a Huckabee Prophidency. His win yesterday in Iowa is nothing short of a miracle.
Which kinda gets me to the point of this post. Folks, this kind of accuracy and dedication to prayer requires Me to raise My tithe. My Personal Prayer fee will go up to $20,000.00 per subject, which is still in line with industry standards. Far lower than the Huckabee motivational speech fee for instance. He’s getting $25,000.00 a pop.
This Saturday come out and see us at the Prophet Center. We are hosting a special prayer vigil for Huckabee, “Prey for Reign.”
Also, because I got my new Rolls for Christmas, I can no longer support the “Pray for Rain” campaign. I won’t actively pray for drought, but I do like to keep the Rolls clean with a nice waxy shine.
Hallelujah
Happy New Year, all -
Goldie 8:06 We’ll see if hope can overcome party machine politics. I have a smile on my face this morning. A big one.
Here is a little original analysis instead of talking points. George Mason University’s Center for Media and Public Affairs compared the three networks, Fox news (not the entertainment and theater people) and concluded Fox is more equitable in their treatment of both political parties.
Link: [Election Study Finds Media Hits Hillary Hardest: Obama, Huckabee Fare Best; FOX is most balanced (Not a Typo)]*(http://www.cmpa.com/releases/071221ElectionStudy.pdf)
Aunt Josie 9:38
I too am in favor of term limits - philosophically, it’s less professional politician and more citizen-server; practically, given committee assignments are based on seniority, I really don’t want a Congressman or Senator from a district diametrically opposed to mine having an inordinate influence over policy.
General comment on the tapes destruction: what, exactly, is the problem?
CIA acknowledged waterboarding. Three people after 9-11. Director Tenet and head of bin Laden unit said many al Qaeda operations were stopped and lives saved. Key congressional leaders were briefed post-9-11 on CIA intentions. Only one (Rep Harmon) voiced any objections. Others - Rockefeller, Pelosi, etc asked such questions as “are you sure it’s tough enough?”
So, whether or not it’s torture is a matter of law and opinion masquerading as law. Acts happened, were recorded, acts acknowledged, transcripts made, recordings destroyed. Rep Harmon said her objection to destroying tapes was because we would no longer have a source to document accuracy of transcripts (really stretching, there). Justice has opened inquiry, has not detailed any specification, could be unrelated to actual conduct in ‘02 (such as later making misleading comments). But none of that requires possession of the actual recordings.
As ususal, Mikey and his silly liberal buddies don’t let facts get in the way of blaming Bush for something.
Fact 1: The White House advised the CIA not to destroy the tapes:
“One official familiar with the investigation said Alberto Gonzales, who served as White House counsel and then attorney general, advised against destroying the videotapes. Another administration attorney, John Bellinger, then a lawyer at the National Security Council, has told colleagues that administration lawyers who discussed the matter in 2003 came to a consensus that the tapes should not be destroyed, said a senior official familiar with Bellinger’s account of the 2003 White House discussion. “The recommendation in 2003 from the White House was that the tapes should not be destroyed,” the official said.”
Fact 2: The White House appoitned a non-partisan prosecutor to investigate:
“On Wednesday, Attorney General Michael Mukasey appointed John Durham, a veteran federal prosecutor in Connecticut, to oversee a full criminal investigation that could further challenge the Bush administration’s handling of terrorism suspects.”
“”The Justice Department went out and got somebody with complete independence and integrity,” said former Connecticut U.S. Attorney Stanley Twardy, who worked with Durham. “No politics whatsoever. It’s going to be completely by the book and he’s going to let the chips fall where they may.”“
Norm Crosby? Thanks… I think.
My point was the headline noted the Dem third-place finisher had more votes than the Rep first-place. Really irrelevant to anything other than an Iowa observation. Voters have to be registered and participate by party. The Iowa example does not mirror the nation. Same is true for Huckabee - 60 pct of Rep voters were described as “evangelical” - again, doesn’t mirror the nation.
