It’s not that animals are more important than humans. It is simply that someone who harms an animal without good reason harms his own humanity. We are all part of nature.

Lots of Luckovich metaphors this morning. The one with power using the other for sport and entertainment. Killing the other and as candide said, debasing his own humanity. Then comes awareness, apology and acceptance of both parties, with the implicit understanding to not repeat the past and strike out on a better future.
A metaphor for our own politictal system?

$20,000 to enlistees who agree to immediate deployment. So what does an 18 year old kid think? How about: Gee whiz, 15 months in Iraq and I can get me a new Mustang with 18-inch wheels. Of course it might need special equipment for amputees. Or a chaufeur for veterans with TBI.

I really hate to say it, but I kind of felt sorry for Vick yesterday when I saw his statement on the news. Now, don’t get me wrong, I think what he did was completely repulsive, and I think he is a thug, but he is an example of how many just can’t handle money and fame. I read an article about his dad, and good lord, what a loser, and I’m sure all these “friends” of his live off his money too.
It’s really sad all the way around, but hopefully we won’t have to hear about it for too much longer.
I have another question. About yesterday’s cartoon, a friend of mine told me over the weekend, that he saw some kind of show on television that talked about the origins of the whole fashion trend of the pants down past your rear thing. He told me that according to the show (he couldn’t remember the name of the show of channel), it started in the prison population, and the men who wore their pants down past their rears - well, I think you get the picture here. Has anyone else heard that? Because if that is true, I bet not too many of these kids who knew that would want to display themselves as the “girly men” if you know what I mean. Yuck.

In his first major foreign policy address, French President Nicholas Sarkozy called for a timetable to withdraw foreign troops from Iraq. “The Iraq tragedy cannot leave us indifferent. France was, thanks to Jacques Chirac, and remains hostile to this war,” said Sarkozy.

Sarkozy is? And here I thought the top-tier Dem candidates weren’t calling for a pullout - more like a drawdown and a moveabout?
Wait - you said “wingnut” - so the corresponding group would be “moonbat,” correct? I believe that’s the group calling for a pullout. So American moonbats have something similar with a French conservative? Too bad we couldn’t have such commonality in this country.

I too am tired of Vick on every front page in every newspaper in America. Four years ago when the owners of dog racing greyhounds were found to be killing their dogs who were either too old or not winning, where was the fuss? I don’t like going to the seaquarium because I can’t stand how they have those animals in those tanks that are too small for them, (they used to have a whole ocean to roam now their confined in a small “box” compared to what they were used to), being forced to entertain crowds of humans for their enjoyment.
And I won’t even mention how i feel about horse racing!! Whatever happens to THOSE animals when they don’t have the great bloodline to breed out and are no longer, (if they ever did), bringing in winning purses? ENOUGH ALREADY!!!
Now as for the 20K that the Army is paying soldiers to enlist — I have to say that if I was a kid in a dead end job, even though there was a war, I’d jump at the chance of earning 20K. They get 10K when they finish secondary training, (not tax free of course), and then the rest throughout their enlistment, plus any additinal enlistment bonuses. You can’t beat that!! I’d sign up for the minimum, take the money, and flip the Army a bird on my way out the door!!!
PS: But I wouldn’t SHOOT the bird, ‘cause it’ll be cruel to animals.

Hmmmm amazing how only republicans when they’re caught, (Foley [teen boys], Abramahoff, Haggard, etc.); are the only ones worthy of being remorseful; all others who confess to remorse are met with disdain and people not “buying” their words.
I guess if Vick would’ve said that he and his dogs prayed about it and now he’s “converted” back to becoming straight again; or something to that affect, it would’ve been easier to swallow.

I’ve already had a dropped post after your first of the day - gotta watch this server, down yesterday, acting squirrely this morning.
I believe those recruiting bribes are called “bonuses.” Their system’s full of ‘em. They pay lots of money to lots of people for ‘skills’ we really don’t use (learn how to parchute!) or we pay people in priviliged careers who are compensated well over $100k a year (pilots) another $20k a year to “fly” drones over Iraq or along our border. ‘Cept they do it from someplace in California? Hey, at least the young, not as educated are getting in on it.
Isn’t this a “free market” kind of thing? (aside - about as “free market” as the enticements of subprime mortages) -

Color me naive, but after reading Vick’s transcript and hearing his mom (I know, I know) saying he has a big heart, I’m inclined to believe his repentance is somewhat heart felt.
It may well be that he is mainly sorry for getting caught and not his actions leading up to that, but I kind of doubt it.
And there is no question that he has earned whatever proper justice is coming his way.
But unlike some others here, I do believe that redemption is possible. And to me that has absolutely nothing to do with religion, notwithstanding his “finding” Jesus.
So if he can find his and going forward can make a truly positive difference in the world, that is a good thing. No, a great thing.
And I, for one, would love to see it.

BAGHDAD, Aug. 27 — Several federal agencies are investigating a widening network of criminal cases involving the purchase and delivery of billions of dollars of weapons, supplies and other matériel to Iraqi and American forces, according to American officials. The officials said it amounted to the largest ring of fraud and kickbacks uncovered in the conflict here. The inquiry has already led to several indictments of Americans, with more expected, the officials said. One of the investigations involves a senior American officer who worked closely with Gen. David H. Petraeus in setting up the logistics operation to supply the Iraqi forces when General Petraeus was in charge of training and equipping those forces in 2004 and 2005, American officials said Monday.

I got this the other day, was going to ask one of the other posters of the liberal, female persuasion if it’s just an urban legend or if, in fact, there is a basis in fact, here. Any idea?
A woman married three times walked into a bridal shop and told the sales clerk that she was looking for a wedding gown for her fourth wedding. “Of course, madam,” replied the sales clerk, “exactly what type and color dress are you looking for?”
The bride to be said: “A long frilly white dress with a veil.” The sales clerk was irritated a bit, then said, “Please don’t take this the wrong way, but gowns of that nature are considered more appropriate for brides who are being married the first time - for those who are a bit more innocent, if you know what I mean? Perhaps ivory or sky blue would be nice?”
“Well,” replied the customer, a little peeved at the clerk’s directness, “I can assure you that a white gown would be quite appropriate. Believe it or not, despite all my marriages, I remain as innocent as a first-time bride. You see, my first husband was so excited about our wedding, he died as we were checking into our hotel. My second husband and I got into such a terrible fight in the limo on our way to our honeymoon that we had that wedding annulled immediately and we never spoke to each other again.”
“What about your third husband?” asked the sales clerk.
“That one was a Democrat,” said the woman, “and every night for four years, he just sat on the edge of the bed and told me how good it was going to be, but nothing ever happened.”

I’m of the opinion (currently, subject to change) that there are some pretty extreme views at both ends - and to break faith with one tenet automatically places you, in their eyes, square in the other camp.
Read an op-ed Sunday - said people can form political views and have them reinforced by hanging out with others of homogeneous views (no kidding) - but when done to the exclusion of other views, the people tend to think their view is the predominant view. Now that’s something to think about -

Some bloggers don’t seem to know the difference between euthanasia and torture/killings. Many animals are euthanized at dog pounds and vetinary facilities. They are not drowned or hung to death but “put away” painlessly.
One of the more famous actions of this type is the recent demise of Barbaro, who was “put down” after failed attempts to cure him of a painful debilitating illness.

Euthanasia is a nice word; however to “euthanize” an animal because it’s not peforming well in legal gambling pursuits, is no different than “euthanizing” one in an illegal gambling pursuit. Some are shot with weapons, it’s cheaper than drugs, while others have their throats slashed so that their blood can be drained for their flesh to be used as food.
All these animals were used by humans as a means of entertainment; both legal and illegal, and when their entertainment value was over, were put to death. Where is the humanity in that?
Why do some people nit pick at what they feel is the lesser evil when it supports THEIR viewpoints; but blasts the same type of behavior as truly evil, when it does not?

{I know! Aren’t those homosexual people just so strange?}
Andy, you may pretend to play this off as yet another homosexual problem, but you conveniently miss the much larger point.
Yes, you and I and countless others may feel that soliciting sex, of any type, in a public restroom is debauched. And rightfully deserves scorn and in this case an arrest.
But what you conveniently fail to note is how the act is compounded by the fact that this man took such a public anti-gay position to further his political career.
Debauched is bad enough, but a ultra-hypocritical profligate is many times worse and is now sadly fairly representative of others in Congress, etc…

Amvet, I’ve always thought these “moral police” are the ones you have to look out for. In my opinion, they have deep rooted, very serious sexual repression issues - often misguided by their religious beliefs.
When I hear people preaching “morals” they usually sound kind of scared/scary to me - I think they are really scared of themselves.

Duh is for Dull,
Personally, I understand Duh completely. He is simply a superior being to the rest of you and therefore you get lost in his wisdom.
Duh knows that going into Iraq was the right thing to do, because he says so. He knows that we can, will and must win, because he says so. He knows that the mistake of Vietnam wasn’t in the getting in, it was in the getting out. He knows that it is irrelevant that Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, Nugent, etc…, etc…, etc… avoided service when they had the chance but are all patriotic flag waving hawks when its time for someone else to go. Duh knows that just because they wimped out themselves doesn’t mean they are wrong. Duh knows that the Khmer Rouge didn’t start their massacre until we left the country next door. Liberal history books may tell you that the Khmer Rouge started in 1968 during the height of the Vietnam War, but Duh knows that ‘facts’ get in the way of a good story and should be ignored as much as posible. Duh knows that there is a direct correlation between our invasion of Iraq and the war on terror. Duh knows that Iraq was a hot bed of international terrorism prior to the invasion and that we had no choice but to invade. You may ask: Name one international terror attack sponsored by Iraq under Saddam? The reason the answer is none is because they simply were too clever to get caught which is why they were so dangerous. Duh and I say prove that Iraq wasn’t behind a terror attack. Can’t do it can you? You may say that you could make the same argument against Bolivia and you’d be right. So what? Duh knows that it is perfectly consistent to support a party which cherry picked dictatorships that they liked based upon money throughout the Cold War despite their vast record of human rights abuses, and still use human rights abuses to justify attack on the ones they aren’t making money on. China good, Cuba bad. See the difference? South Africa in the 1980’s good, Venezuela bad. Can’t you see the difference? Reagan’s chief of staff Don Regan said that the reason that the administration supported normalized relationships with the Apartheid government in South Africa was because our women couldn’t live without their diamonds. Duh thought that was great! When Saddam tortured his people however it was bad and we should invade.

I do not call euthanasia “torture”. In fact, my dictionary calls it: the act of killing individuals (as persons or domestic animals) that are hopelessly sick or injured for reasons of mercy.
Drowning or hanging a dog is not merciful.
Vick wants the court to be “merciful” in sentencing while he himself did not possess that quality. Even talent, fame and money could not give him mercy. That is sad.

Dusty as usual you only see, (read) what you wish to see, (read).
[[I do not know every incident involving the death of animals. I do know there are laws on the books which prohibit the torture of animals.]]
One man’s torture is another’s man’s profit. Do you believe the animals at a seaquarium are tortured? Or at the track? Or do you believe that when their entertainment value is over they are put in a old animals home for retirement?
[[I do not call euthanasia “torture”.]]
Neither did I.
[[In fact, my dictionary calls it: the act of killing individuals (as persons or domestic animals) that are hopelessly sick or injured for reasons of mercy.]]
So if the animal is NOT sick, and NOT injured just not able to make their owners any money anymore, are you against THAT type of “euthanasia”
[[Drowning or hanging a dog is not merciful.]]
True. Neither is killing them because they can’t make you money anymore. This goes to illegal as well as LEGAL gambling on animals. But it seems that the “sanctioned” gambling and/or abuse of animals does not have the same type of knee jerk response. I wonder why?
[[Vick wants the court to be “merciful” in sentencing while he himself did not possess that quality]]
I’m amazed — you spoke very highly of the ex-Atlanta Thrashers player who drove drunk and KILLED his best friend; (I believe the player’s name was Danny Heatley). You thought he deserved mercy even though he broke the law and killed someone through his thoughtless actions;and reckless disregard for the safety of himself and others; however, you show no inclination towards that same charitable christian spirit in this instance.
Amazing.

My wife just sent me a funny e-mail:
A public school teacher was arrested this morning at John F.Kennedy International Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, a slide rule and a calculator. At a morning press conference, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction. “Al-gebra is a problem for us,” Gonzales said. “They desire solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in a search of absolute value. They use secret code names like ‘X’ and ‘Y’ and refer to themselves as ‘unknowns’, but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isos Celes used to say, ‘There are 3 sides to every triangle’.” When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush said, “If God wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes.” White House aides told reporters they could not recall a more intelligent or profound statement by the president.

Clinton hurt the institution of the presidency and contributed to a general disintegration of respect americans feel for our institutions.
And I blame the man. He was a grave disappointment to me personally and I think we blew the big chance resurrected so many years after JFK.
But Bush has given the oval office the coup de grace, and stuck the sword in and twisted it with relish.
The presidency and maybe our country is dead. We have never been so close to mercenary backed revolution in our history. The right is so hypocritical that the left feels it can only revolt. The attorney general was the sword bush used to finish off the bull, literally. Wall street will tumble if the perception of no-confidence becomes ubiquitous.

We won’t even get into Dog Racing, Horse Racing, Circus acts, or the horse drawn carriage downtown Atlanta.
Humans abuse and use animals. Vick was caught excessivly abusing animals and will be punished. But that the end folks. There is very few laws stopping abuse or even describing what constitutes abuse. The kids that set the puppy on fire and the kids that microwaved the puppy were far more evil than Vick, yet they got a slap on the hand for their crimes.

Pardons, I thought, were for those convicted of crimes, or in the case of Marc Rich, indicted and facing trial.
One may disagree with the policies and methods of some administration officials, or think it’s a crime they put policies into place then waltzed away in pursuit of big bucks, but, hey, that’s politics, not criminal conduct. Unless there’s a statute somewhere…
And I rather doubt the current Pres will be real keen on pardoning drug dealers, people who sell out the US and such. No matter how high the bribe. Er, contribution. Er, library building fund.
So to me, it’s not so much the “what” was done to merit a pardon - it’s the “for whom.”

A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science.
The new element has been named “Bushcronium.” Bushcronium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an Atomic mass of 311.
These 311 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.
Since Bushcronium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact.
A minute amount of Bushcronium causes one reaction to take over 4 days to complete when it would normally take less than a second.
Bushcronium has a normal half-life of multiples of 4 years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.
In fact, Bushcronium’s mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Bushcronium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as “Critical Morass.”
When catalyzed with money, Bushcronium activates Foxnewsium, an element which radiates orders of magnitude more energy, albeit as incoherent noise, since it has 1/2 as many peons but twice as many morons

It exists and no matter how much you hate that fact, it has been a reality of humanity since before the ancient Greeks.
That is NOT the issue. And if you had ANY guts you would admit it.
Typically though, you’ll say anything and everything to dance around the relevant issue - the one that Bosch noted so well in his 11:27.
This fake family values position, as exemplified by this very senior Republican Senator and numerous others just like him, lose what tiny credibility it has when it is so vigorously and hypocritically proclaimed by such enormous liars.
Lying, deceit, hypocrisy.

{Clinton hurt the institution of the presidency and contributed to a general disintegration of respect Americans feel for our institutions.}
{And I blame the man. He was a grave disappointment to me personally and I think we blew the big chance resurrected so many years after JFK.}
{But Bush has given the oval office the coup de grace, and stuck the sword in and twisted it with relish.}
I completely agree.
Unquestionably, like some before him, Clinton misused his position in numerous ways, but worse, seemed to show a shocking lack of respect for it.
BUT, at least most rational Americans agree that he was a pretty effective President and did an at least adequate job of leading the country.
His follower in office though took that disrespect to new and previously unimaginable lows.
And I feared as much when I saw the men who made up his Cabinet and advisory staff.
AND most rational Americans would agree that he has been the complete antithesis of an effective President.
But I disagree with this: {The presidency and maybe our country is dead.}
This nation has endured a withering Civil War, two incredibly bloody World Wars, imminent nuclear war with Khrushchev, Viet Nam and Watergate. It will survive this short lived neo-con excuse for governance.

Hey Paul - I enjoyed that conversation too and I LOVE Indian food! Yummy!
AmVet, I think religion gets in the way of most things (obviously), many things that are just natural, human behavior, many times, religion makes them into something bad.
I find it odd how people will make laws about sexual issues that most normal people wouldn’t participate in, because it is not natural. There are simple laws of nature that most people follow that are not learned or obeyed because it is a human invented law, they obey them because it goes against nature therefore making them, simply wrong.
For example, pornography. Most forms of pornography are completely horrific, I don’t need a law to tell me not to participate in that. I don’t need a law to make me NOT want to have sex in a public restroom with a stranger.
I know there are freaks out there who rape children for pleasure, but those deviants will do it regardless of a LAW. And don’t get me wrong, we obviously NEED laws to protect children, so that when these freaks are caught, they will go to jail.
However, people who participate in lewd acts are going to do it regardless of the law - and those who usually are yelling about it the loudest, in my opinion, are the ones who are really just scared of themselves, like they are talking themselves out of it somehow - like when you are trying to talk yourself out of doing something tempting (I will not eat that cake, I will not eat that cake), if that makes sense.
And yes, they are completely misguided by their religious beliefs, the more conservative religions view sex as evil and bad, and when they have sexual urges, instead of viewing it as natural and human they see themselves as bad, and they usually get morphed into something much more vile (like paying for and getting blow jobs in public restrooms at airports).

Compare that to the trash in this world who masquerade as people. That is why so many Atlantans have turned on Mike Vick. It has nothing to do with his race. I’d gone this morning when you asked the poll question. Yes, I think it can be reinforcing. Before the last election I was on another blog with a fellow from Connecticut - just knew Lieberman was going to get trounced. I reference a Quinnipiac poll - usually reliable - to question his basis, whereupon I was branded a neocon traitor like Lieberman and the guy just KNEW I was wrong because his friends said so. Polls, too. I just said we’d wait for the election. Never heard from him again.
Polls are dicey - they reflect the fact of a group’s opinion. The opinion is what is - but it could be erroneous (n% of Americans think Saddam engineered 9/11 and n% think Bush did - add those percentages up and shake your head).

Ah, so you gave a toast (to me I think) while enjoying Indian food. Well, I hope it was the right “Indian” food. You see, the only food considered Indian that I am familiar with is Native American food. So many summers I have enjoyed it.
The White Mountain Apaches fixed acorn soup which was very good. I think the meat was squirrel but I did not ask.
The Navajo specialty was lamb stew with fried bread (full of fat and delicious). While working with the Hopis, someone brought in paper thin bread made from different shades of corn. Don’t think I have ever seen that anywhere else.
Well, I thought you might be interested in other “Indian” food. If I go to a local Indian restaurant, I am lost!! Likewise with wine. And beer is worse than medicine. Guess I will never make it as a conoisseur.

But their is much more than just having a gay thing for young boys involved here, these dudes are forcing their laws upon people but consider themselves above those same laws.”
Of all of the possible things that could be gleaned from this story, hypocrisy is obviously the most important. Clearly, had the Taliban imprisoned, brutalized or executed people accused of immoral acts then everything would have been fine because they wouldn’t have been hypocrites. Good catch there Duh!
I’m sure that liberals would ignore the whole hypocrisy angle altogether and go right to the issue of the propriety of enforcing religious codes on the people by the Government. Of course, Duh and I support religious rules, codes and punishments be enforced by the Government as outlined in the Bible i.e, death for homosexual acts. If God says “kill ‘em” who am I to argue? Just as long as the executioner isn’t gay everything would be fine.
Liberals probably look at the Taliban and Iran, etc… and see in the Muslim world what the Western world took centuries to finally rid itself of: the intermingling of church and state. Conservatives like Duh and I merely see, not that it is wrong to impose your religion on the populace, but simply that Muslims pray to the wrong God. And that’s the real difference between you scumbag libs and us God-fearing REAL Americans.
“An eye for and eye” right Duh? When can we give these teenage victims of the Taliban the opportunity to ‘get even?’ You give these teens a bunch of lube and let them go to town on those guys and I’ll bet they’ll think twice about doing that again. And therein lies the wisdom of the Old Testament and why it should be the law of the land.

DDR, for me this whole issue of “you can’t be against the war because…” is in some strange ways so surreal that it reminds me of those days back when Viet Nam was raging.
I remember hearing about mothers and fathers actually disowning their children for being against that war.
And I remember the Ronald Reagans and Richard Nixons just loving it.
For me this is one of the most perplexing and disappointing aspects of the pro-war movement today.
And that is that they have apparently learned so very little from the mistakes of the past. And in many ways, this single trait is the most defining aspect of the neo-con philosophy to me.
And I’m not talking about this administration’s total ineptitude in this matter. Nor their cloaked and idiotic ideas about democracy in the Middle East, etc as a reason.
Though yet again, the American people have been deceived by men of very questionable ethics (and in this case intelligence) and sold a bill of goods in the name of American interests. (They are, I’m sure, acting in somebody’s best interests, but somehow I don’t think it’s you or me).
I’m talking about the followers of these men, who 40 years later, again trot out the endless clap-trap regarding patriotism, cowardice, etc. as though their self-righteous, infallible opinion was written in stone! That is because there has been little talk about the arrests. And that, in turn, may have something to do with the fact that “Dirty Nearly Dozen” includes University of North Carolina Professor Dr. Hugh Tilson and Spelman College Professor Lev T. Mills.)))
Defending it, promoting it, encouraging it in our schools perpetuates it, cultivates it, refines it.
In summation….
you liberals don’t see your reflection when you look in the mirror, do you?

We are enrolling the good Senator in my new gay conversion therapy for adults. Its modeled after my gay conversion method for children.
The child technique is this …”“”Meanwhile, the boy’s father has to do his part. He needs to mirror and affirm his son’s maleness. He can play rough-and-tumble games with his son, in ways that are decidedly different from the games he would play with a little girl. He can help his son learn to throw and catch a ball. He can teach him to pound a square wooden peg into a square hole in a pegboard. He can even take his son with him into the shower, where the boy cannot help but notice that Dad has a penis, just like his, only bigger.”“
Now of course we can’t use Sen Craig’s father for the shower routine because he is dead, and we can’t use Andy/Duh because he is too small. Fear not there are millions of other Republicans that will quickly volunteer!

Yet again, in an almost desperate attempt to deflect attention away from a lying Republican senior US Senator soliciting sex, someone predictably trots out a red herring.
I swear to you-know-who that some of you do not even understand, or worse, pretend to not understand the definition of the word, so here it is:
Hypocrite: a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
I wish I had more time, I could find some obscure articles about truckers in (pick a state) doing the same at truck stops. Maybe they could then be tortured to confess if they were Democrats or Republicans.
IT DOESN’T MATTER!
We all know, there are perverts (IMHO that is an accurate term) everywhere! There always have been!
Fortunately, they are in a minuscule minority and generally they are your typical garden variety nobodys. NOT A LYING HYPOCRITICAL UNITED STATES SENATOR who has loudly and longly excoriated gays and extolled the virtues of family, etc, so slavishly lapped up by the religious right and other reactionary neo-cons!
Wake the f()ck up! Is this what you want from your government? Do you expect nothing better?!!

How many? I guarantee you it’s more than you would have found fifty years ago. There’s an awful lot of freedoms in the media and the internet today.
Do you want to restrict them in the interest of our children or do you want to pay for them? Do you want our kids to pay for them personally or financially?
Teenage pregnancies? STDs? Psychological counseling?
Do you support government funded healthcare to provide for all those sexual freedoms you don’t want restricted?

I have no interest in what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own domicile, but if we’re going to celebrate, support or encourage it, then we have to recognize the impact it may have on our kids, and the unintended consequences
I believe that homosexuals are more often genetically predisposed, but not always. Sometimes environmental surroundings may come into play. I think bi-sexuality is more often than not socially encouraged.
If a child is born with male and female reproductive organs, I believe that surgery should be put off until the child has some emotional and psychological tie to a specific gender. If that child grows up and has chosen neither, who’s going to push him in one direction or the other?
If one influence wins out over the other and the individual believes he has made a mistake, who’s to blame?
I’m just asking questions here.

Actually you can get Roast Gu1nea pig right here at some south of teh border restaurants in Atlanta! Its called Cuy!
Cuy is the Peruvian name for Guinea pig, but it has been bred to be much larger than your home pet rodent and with more meat. This is often compared to eating rabbit.
But actually I find this to be even more Humourous - if not a bit disgusting.
But now on a serious side - and even more disgusting note..
I would never want to eat here!
Uhhm - Gross!
