Yeah, tears of joy.
You must be so happy to find some more false accusations against our soldiers.
An M16 fires a three round burst when on automatic, and Tillman was killed by friendly fire.
Now you perverts are dragging his corpse around trying to play your anti American, Bush delusional agenda.
Look, you’re crying like an idiot and I’m biting my tongue.

The facts are Pat was killed by fellow soldiers not matter how you try to phrase it. The Army and the officials in Washington lied about it whether you like it or not. Like Dragnet Joe Friday used to say. “Just the facts.”

Barry Bonds. Notice how the entire media unanimously dislikes this guy?
For the last few months, all I’ve heard or read starts out with how much the author dilikes Bonds.
The Tour de France connect was a bit obvious for me, but more importantly, where was W’s dog throwing the stick in the bicycle spokes?
but I’m sure others will like it.

The question Luckovich should have addressed is: “Did Babe Ruth juice?”
Perhaps show the Babe as the drunken sod he truly was, how he never took care of himself or ate correctly, (he lived on beer and hotdogs, which he stole from the concession stands….)
Am I the only reporter who dislikes the Babe? There’s a myth about the babe, that he once called a home run shot, but if you look closely at the video replay, he’s clearly not pointing to the fence, he’s flipping off reporters, ala Barry Bonds.

Hank did it without steroids. Did anyone hear the piece on NPR this morning about when Hank Aaron broke the record? I never realized, but then again I was a kid, that he had death threats and bodyguards during that time. He told some of his friends (Dusty Baker) not to sit near him in the dugout because he was afraid they would get shot.
They played a clip of the announcers when Hank hit 715 - I got goosebumps. In my opinion, that record will always belong to Hank Aaron.

It really works, too. A cartoon idea: Show an old timers tribute roast thing, and show Howard Cosell introducing someone saying, “You know those legs, you know those arms, those moves, it’s….THE JUICE!”
Then show Barry Bonds hobbling to the stage.

In The News 9:23
That’s been standard practice for years for personal-issue equipment or equipment over which the person has custody.
The standard was loss, damage or destruction resulting from negligence that a normal person, in similar circumstances, would not exercise. Once the loss or damage is discovered, an investigating officer is appointed. If he recommends the soldier be held liable, the recommendation has to be approved by a senior officer.
We’re not talking about equipment damaged or left behind in the heat of combat. A soldier is issued a helmet. He deploys, serves his tour in the rear areas, returns stateside, does another year, outprocesses (turns in the gear he’s been issued), doesn’t have his helmet, he’s probably going to pay for it.
A pilot is issued a flight suit (cost a few hundred dollars - they wear them when they aren’t flying, even if they haven’t flown for years). They leave and don’t turn them back to the unit, they should pay for it. Taxpayers shouldn’t have to buy personal clothing for people making a hundred grand.
So that’s “the rest of the story.”

All these personal implosions we’re seeing these days is the natural fallout from this emphasis on winning at all costs. Some folks are getting caught and others are just getting chewed up by the whirlwind.

Maybe we can shame the Juice into quitting. (and get even with OJ).
If we refer to Bonds as the Juice, certainly OJ will get upset and maybe do something stupid, like sponsor dogfights, and THIS time we’ll get ‘im.
Wouldn’t it be something if OJ was called to testify in the Vick Dogfighting trial? “The police planted that bloody leash on Vick’s property”.

Dusty, To continue our conversation from last night, and to answer your question…….
“You actually think that I “promote racial superiority doctrines, ethnic persecution, imperialistic expansion, and genocide”?” Yes, I do because of your continued support for this war.
It doesn’t matter if you think I’m pathetic and pitiful, I’m not the POTUS, my opinion does not affect our nation.
What IS pathetic and pitiful and DOES affect our nation are: 1) George Bush and Dick Cheney (and Alberto Gonzales; 2) this continued bloodbath in Iraq; 3)the man responsible for the 9/11 attacks is still at large; 4) our nations credibility around the world; 5) the shattering of our Constitution; 6) our unprotected borders; 7) increased Al-Qaeda presence around world and the re-establishment of the Taliban — shall I go on?
I answered your question, now answer some of mine if you have the courage to do it:
Do you feel that liberals deserve representation in our government?
Do you feel that Christianity is the one absolute religion?
What’s your opinion of the Hispanic population and their effect (or affect?) on our economy and social services?
How do you feel about this? EO: Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq
Or this? National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive
Do you feel Bush was justified to illegally wire-tap phones?
I know I’ve gone to a lot of trouble typing out questions that you will never answer.
I wonder how long it will take you to come back with you typical juvenile response of “you pitiful, pathetic, freaking moron, unpatriotic, liberal (spit), piece of crap?”

IN THE NEWS
I was referring to the broad outline - the overall policy. Rodriguez should be an exception - there’s no excuse for something taking that long. In fact, there are clear guidelines on how long the Army has to investigate and report once the loss is discovered. His record should have been cleared before he was discharged. It’s easy. He outprocess. He doesn’t have the gear he was issued. His discharged is held up. It appears his unit and the other agencies didn’t do their jobs. If the last sentence is correct, then the Army is wrong. There is always a paper trail.
Sen Schumer seems to be saying there should be no investigations or accountability for government employees who lose or damage taxpayer-supplied equipment. That’s a shame. Reminds me of the grandstanding of a couple years back over military and credit cards “soldiers using government credit cards buy booze and go to strip clubs.” The rest of that story was soldiers on temporary duty receive an allowance for meals and incidental expenses. They don’t get a cash advance - they get a credit card to be used only when they travel. If they want to buy a beer and go to a strip club instead of eat dinner at Burger King (with their own money) that’s their choice. But it makes for lousy Congressional outrage or news stories.
And that’s the rest of the rest of the rest of the story.

I didn’t see it but I’ll take your word on it. Again, I’m more interested in substance (the story or allegation and the facts supporting it) than the style (personality). Many of these folks (Fox, MSNBC, CNN, etc etc) have pretty irritating personalities. Many have stances or causes that plain don’t interest me. But when a good story comes along I try to put all that aside and evaluate what the broadcaster has to say and what the guests on either side have to say. That’s why I caught the BOR episode during this past week when Howard Wolfson, Hillary’s Communications Director was on. I’d rather hear something from the source than a website’s interpretation of what Mr. Wolfson said.
Oh, I saw recent footage of Sen Thompson with his wife. Let’s just say the previous photo of her was very flattering. She appears to be cut from the Hillary mold - tough, smart, wants a seat at the table. Then again, I understand she was a well-regarded political operative before she married.

I read Sen Schumer’s remarks not as saying the Rodriguez case happens many, many, many times with others and is almost the norm, but that military personnel who return from overseas are held accountable for personal-issued equipment.
If Sen Schumer wants it changed, he’s in a position as a senior Senator to introduce legislation to change the law (yup, those actions are based on public law).
There’s a big difference between the two. I didn’t see it as clear from the context of the story what he was saying, which is why I wrote “SEEMS to be saying.”

The Democrats’ call for a special counsel to investigate Gonzales’ statements to Congress is, mostly, political puffery. The real problem in the Justice Department is not the firings of US attorneys. Ask yourself: why haven’t the leakers of the CIA secret prisons, the SWIFT program’s cooperation, and the NSA terrorist surveillance program been discovered and prosecuted?….. Pete Hoekstra (former chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and now ranking Republican on one of its subcommittees) told me Thursday — have damaged our capabilities in the war against the terrorist groups and the nations that support them. The damage is enormous, resulting in changed behavior of nations who — before the leaks — were cooperating secretly with us and can no longer because the cooperation was revealed………I’ve come to know one overriding fact: no one in the government leaks by accident. Whomever the leaker is, he or she is pushing an agenda. And the leaks — if they are from the CIA — were meant to change the behavior of our government and other governments helping us combat terrorists. The leakers’ agenda cannot be explained otherwise.
Duh.

Friendly fire happens in every war unfortunately. There is nothing that can make a family satisfied with such an event. Their hearts are broken.
But there have been 16 friendly fire deaths in Afghanistan & Iraq and 6 under investigation. The press and Tillman family has made a great uproar over the death of Tillman but little is said of others.
Friendly fire is an anomaly of war. If facts are confused, battles are hectic places and confusing. Even if facts change,no family will ever be the same after such a loss. But to turn against your country will not stop the anguish. Our military is volunteer. I do not think they want the service to which they volunteered and gave their life to be smeared by others.

From the AP: {{{The doctors - whose names were blacked out - said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away.}}}
Crooks & Liars conclusion:
{{{In other words, Pat Tillman was most likely murdered in the field. In cold blood. By other US soldiers.}}}
Now you are posting this:
{{{“It happens too often and it’s just disgraceful,” Sen. Charles Schumer said. “Here are people who are risking their lives for us and they come home and they’re being treated as if they’re criminals instead of heroes.”}}}
Who is it exactly that is treating our soldiers as criminals instead of heroes?

Bosch@9:54
Well, it seems that Bosch (our dual citizenship blogger, i.e. 50% American and 50% German) is fretting over his beer stein this morning. He’s listed questions that any liberal would be proud to present. But, let’s see.
Liberals aka Democrats are certainly part of our government and population. Obviously so. They now control Congress and have brought public approval to an all time low for that body. Democrats seemed determined to conduct a “wild goose chase”. Much ado about nothing, as Shakespeare put it. But all voices may speak and Dems did vote for going to war against our enemies even if they want to run now.
Christianity is the religion for me, a saving grace. Since I am not God I cannot prognosticate about other religions. The discussion on Hindus at our church last Sunday was interesting. So was another discussion of Muslims. Almost all religions have SOME good points.
Hispanics?? Great addition to our country when legal. Otherwise, illegals are costing American taxpayers a great deal of money for healthcare, schools and security systems.
I have a recent Hispanic addition to my family by marriage. Has worked hard on legal processes and has a green card. A most enjoyable member of our family who has brought much happiness to us.
Your question on “blocking” was not clear to me.
Do I like Homeland Security? You bet. We are at war with bloodthirsty terrorists and I don’t want them here destroying skyscrapers, blowing up trains and planes, deploying suicide bombers. If it takes extra measures to insure our safety, I am for it.
I don’t remember your last question.
But, as to the “fascist” label you put on me yesterday, I must get busy with my genocide (like the Holocaust I presume) and other accusations you mentioned.
Since you like dictionary quotes, please allow me to give YOU one.

God created us, but we were living like animals, so he sent his son to teach us how to live.
His son started a religion. We did everything we could to kill him, but he just wouldn’t stay dead. How do you defend against THAT?

There is only one true religion and all the others are socio-cults meant to assuage sinners and build careers and fortunes of the titular tithers. (the bible according to Oprah)
God gets more worship out of a rock just being a rock than in all of the dancing, prancing singing prayers of non catholic worshippers.
That’s only true If there is a god, if not, then Islam is a good as catholicism. That’s the only way Moslems and Catholics achieve parity: if there is no god.
What are we saying when we say, “I believe in God”? What god? Is there a menu? Is there any historical reference book that survived to tell us what divine intercourse we’ve shared?
The old testament is the history of man on earth, the new testament is the history of God on earth.
Until the Son of god, we only had man’s word that god spoke or existed. (Abraham and Moses)

Dusty, You make too many general assumptions about people, you have no idea what my nationality is, but I AM an American citizen, first and foremost.
If you want to put the “genocide, Nazi” definition on someone, you need to try someone else, because it ain’t me sister.
My definition of Fascism didn’t come from the dictionary ,sometimes complicated philosophical ideals can’t be defined by one sentence.
So, do you honestly think I’m not patriotic because I don’t agree with Bush and the continuation of this war? Do you think that is the ONLY criteria for being patriotic?
Click on the links and READ the Executive Orders and tell me what you think about those.
Here are the other questions you forgot:
Do you feel Bush was justified to illegally wire-tap phones?
AND
Do you feel that “American Democracy” (because we all know we are really a Republic) is the best and most efficient form of government and should be practiced world-wide?
I’m proud of you Dusty, I didn’t think you would answer any of my questions, but you prooved me wrong.
I always think it best when debating in forums such as this to stand by what you believe in because if you are swayed by a few to go against your beliefs, then they can’t have been strong to begin with.

Oh, Dusty, one more thing, can you explain this statement?
“Democrats seemed determined to conduct a “wild goose chase”. Much ado about nothing, as Shakespeare put it. But all voices may speak and Dems did vote for going to war against our enemies even if they want to run now.”
How exactly are the Democrats trying to conduct a wild goose chase? For what? For who? AND, didn’t the Republicans vote to go to war too? Some of whom are now siding with the Democrats to change course? Can you say for certain that all the Democrats are trying to “run” now? Or are they simply wanting the troops re-deployed?

Bosch,
You seem to forget certain things. YOU told us about your dual citizenship and you brought up genocide in accusing me of being a fascist. I didn’t put that name on you anymore than you put it on me. REMEMBER? Maybe you should go back and read some of your own statements.
I did not say that you were NOT patriotic. I certainly do think we have different views of what is good for this country. In fact, I feel sure that statements coming from Congress and liberals are a definite incentive to our enemies. Free speech can be costly but it is a chance we take for that freedom.
NO, our republic is a great democracy and I am all for it. I would hope that others might enjoy such a privilege but I doubt that they can. We are blessed with natural resources, mostly moderate temperatures, great leadership and governmental policies from the beginning. Many countries are not so blessed. Equality and freedom as in a democracy are hard to reach. We should appreciate all that we have.
Wire taps? Are they not part of Homeland Security? I myself don’t have a thing to hide. If they can catch a terrorist making plans, go ahead and catch him. Why does that bother you? It is a war time arrangement and not a permanent thing.
Nevermind the little benigh statements about being proud of me. I haven’t needed such pitty-pats in a long time. Give them to your dog who probably likes to be petted.

Dusty says: “Wire taps? Are they not part of Homeland Security? I myself don’t have a thing to hide.”
I completely agree that in this post-9/11 era that we should not insist on privacy and that everything that we do and say should be known to the government. We are servants of the government and they should know what we are up to. Obviously, the reverse isn’t true when Bush claims executive priviledge. Why? Because we don’t need to know what our government does, the government needs to know what citizens do.
People who suggest that government infringements on privacy are of no concern because of having “nothing to hide” are correct in also pointing out that a claim of executive priviledge doesn’t mean that the President has something to hide. These are two different things and I am being completely consistent I assure you.
You might ask “Hey winger. How can you take 2 completely different positions on the same topic and claim that you are being consistent?”
Well let me explain. I haven’t always been a right wing nut job. I used to watch Hannity and listen to Rush and I really wanted to be like them. But there was a problem. When they would make claims about what a good idea invading Iraq was my common sense took over and I saw tremendous problems including strengthening the enemy, giving the enemy a recruiting tool and a training ground. I also thought that the three different ethnic groups would fight and given that the most populous sect (Shia) were religiously identified with Iran, I thought that maybe even if you got a democracy in Iraq it might not be all that friendly.
Concerned that I could not just go along with my winger heros’ suggestions instinctively, I sought professional help. I saw a mental health expert and explained the problem. He ran a battery of tests and came to the following conclusions:
1) My IQ being slightly above average made it difficult for me to be a loyal winger.
2) My insistence on facts, logic, reasoning and consistency also made it very difficult to be a right wing nut job.
I was grief stricken and asked “please, please, is there anything that can be done so that I can be all the right wing nut job I can be?” The doctor calmed me down and said “all we need to do is a simple labotomy and you’ll be just fine.” The rest as they say is history.

Bush isn’t lying. 19 of the 20 9/11 highjackers were Saudis. Bin Laden is a Saudi. Much of Bin Laden’s financial support has been from Saudi’s. So in large part al-Qaeda is Saudi Arabia. That’s why we are in Iraq. We are just fighting the Saudis over there so we don’t have to fight them over there. It makes perfect sense if you don’t think about it. If that doesn’t work try a labotomy. Worked for me. Some of us just aren’t naturally gifted nut jobs like Dusty and we have to get parts of our brains removed so that we can keep up with her intellect.

Democratic Hopefuls Snub Party Moderates
(((But that doesn’t make him worry any less about the future of his party.)))
(((“Presidents are elected in the middle and they are elected by being bigger than their party. Neither parties’ activists alone can elect somebody president,” From said in a telephone interview from his Washington office. “Democrats have a long history of nominating people, including people who have lost badly. The challenge for Democrats is to nominate somebody who can win the election.”)))
(((The DLC would like to help the Democratic candidates, but none are listening. While no Democratic presidential hopeful wants to be associated with the centrist group, most of the candidates will be in Chicago on Aug. 4 to attend a convention of liberal bloggers.)))
(((“They are looking only at the liberal activists in Iowa,” From said of the candidates.)))

To those of you who don’t understand government and don’t have a very high intelligence level so you keep saying Dems authorized the war, let me explain:
The bill that authorized bush the power to invade Iraq mentioned WMD and had many conditions to it. Actually, it looked like a pretty rational and harmless document that would protect the US from an immenent Iraqi WMD attack. Unfortunately we have a irrational president who lied to get support and totally ignored the list of conditions charging gung ho into Iraq with inadequate planning.
In the first place, bush usurped power that was not truly given to him.
Second, there are no WMD which was the chief concern of most Dems that voted for it.
Third, the leadership that took us to Iraq was…was…well it sucked.
Fourth, the Dems who voted for the bill did NOT vote for the March 3 invasion per se.
I am surprised how anyone with any business acumen can support bush. He totally lacks leadership skills and knowledge. He failed in the business world and now the federal world. He’s lucky he comes from a monied family or he would fail miserably in the real world.

Why couldn’t Bush go through the legal channels to obtain wire taps? There are special courts in place (even during war time) for things like that, but why can’t he go through those channels legally?

You wrote earlier, “I must get busy with my genocide (like the Holocaust I presume)”. Is using the word “Holocaust” supposed to be some kind of “benign” tease to me?

Bosch,
Wild goose chase it is for Dems in Congress.
Democrats in Congress at present are:
Trying to pull out of the “surge” after they approved both General Petraeus and the surge.
At present, trying to nail A.G. Gonzales on the dismissal of US Federal Attorneys, a process always done by presidents. Clinton swept out 90 such attorneys at one sweep and not one Democrat objected. Dems now make a big hullabaloo.
Trying to get the knowledge of every word spoken or written in the President’s office. Dems trying to break yet another executive privilege. Even CEOs are allowed some privacy in office information.
“Impeach” is thrown around by Democrats like it is a badge of honor. If not the president, then the vice president or his aides, then the Attorney General or Somebody/Anybody in the Republican Administration. The word is used without any indication of any crime, the proverbial witchhunt. There has been no “crime”.
Putting peachy little political attachments on important bills when the President has already said he will veto such frivolous apportionments.
Holding all night talkathon slumber parties when Dems can’t get their way.
What do Democrats want to do about Iraq? Listen to their speeches in their hunt for nominations. Kicinich wants all out. Hillary wants partial out with a few left for training (deployment). She means leave targets. Obama says he never voted for war ANYWAY. Biden wants to split Iraq into three sections.
Only a few Republicans go for any of these deals. Most are saying that we MUST not desert Iraq. Democrats cannot even present a plan, just the same old basic cut’n’run.
And look at John Conyers(D), trying to make a big deal over a phony news report about abuse of the Koran at Guantanamo and other pure lies.
The list goes on and on. I hope that you will notice one day that the main goal of Democrats is to demean President Bush by any and all means. They will fight him tooth and nail even if it means losing the war. I gather that is OK with you.

{{{{{{{Oh, so now you libs are against diplomacy too, we can’t bomb anybody and we can’t talk to them either.}}}}}}
Just a few facts (don’t be scared of them, they are what they are):
First, Iraq (which the Bush Admin identifies as the ‘Central Front in the War on Terror’) had only minor ties to terrorism at the time Bush invaded.
Second, countries like Saudia Arabia and Pakistan have much more eggregious ties to terrorism than Iraq ever had, but, we consider them ‘allies’ in the war on terror?
Third, countries like Iran, Syria, Somalia and Sudan (like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan) are blatant enablers of terrorism, but, we have done absolutely nothing to these countries.
Fourth, the Bush Administrations own intelligence agencies now admit that the war in Iraq has actually worsened terrorism around the world.
Fifth, even some of the most jaded, uni-browed ‘conservatives’ have criticized the incomprehensible incompetence with which the Bush Admin has administered the war in Iraq.
Now…add all that up in your tiny brain (rebut any of these five points you don’t believe are factual) and tell me again how all this is the fault of liberals…or just hide behind another cowardly obfuscation (and nic).

Definition of Liberalism
Liberalism refers to a broad array of related ideas and theories of government that advocate individual liberty. Liberalism has its roots in the Western Age of Enlightenment.
Broadly speaking, liberalism emphasizes individual rights and equality of opportunity. A liberal society is characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy, free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected. In the 21st century, this usually means liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law.
Definition of Fascism
Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers individual and other societal interests subordinate to the needs of the state, and seeks to forge a type of national unity, usually based on, but not limited to, ethnic, cultural, or racial attributes. Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, authoritarianism, statism, militarism, corporatism, populism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, racism and opposition to economic and political liberalism. Nevertheless, contrary to popular belief, racism is not a requirement of Fascism

Buy Danish,
“I read the AP story about Pat Tillman. What I took issue with was Crooks & Liars conclusion that he was murdered by his fellow soldiers - something the AP story very clearly reveals was investigated and found to be without merit.”
Ah much like the Dubya who you praised you cherry picked this article. Here is what is actuall said:
Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman’s forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player’s death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.
“The medical evidence did not match up with the, with the scenario as described,” a doctor who examined Tillman’s body after he was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators.
So see it wasnt investigated thouroughly like you said. The ME who wanted it investigated was rebuffed. This from the same Admin who told us Jessica Lynch was a female rambo when she didnt even have a gun. Thats why you have to question everything this administration says….

Bosch,
Sorry about your cat’s mean streak. I am glad to hear you don’t blame it on Bush.
Bush did not work for the CIA. He did not lie because he did not gather the information. Nor did he work for British Intelligence. Information on Iraq came from the CIA and it was studied by the President, Congress and Tony Blair. All believed it was accurate. All voted FOR the war. How do you make that into Bush lied?
Unless Monica Lewinsky was a Republican, I don’t believe you can blame Clinton’s downfall on conservatives. He was a man unable to do the moral thing and it caught up with him. He too has karma and it bit him in the rear.
Tell all your “sky is falling” liberals that the war is not lost yet even with their help. Oh, ye of little faith.
Now,please tell us the glorious Democratic Plan for Iraq that you mentioned. Murtha’s, Kucinich’s, Hillary’s, Obama’s, Biden’s or Edwards’ if he has one??? Take your pick and let us know.
If the study of incoming information to this country is illegal, I believe there would be indictments. Most wise people know it is one of the best ways to detect terrorists. We are still at war with them whether you like it or not.
I have never said that Republicans were perfect. That would be a “bosch”. But Dems say they are in control NOW. If they know how to run Congress, they certainly have not shown the country. That is not the fault of Republicans.
Have a good one and don’t fall off the porch. Steady!!!

Per se, eh?:
October 10, 2002 Floor Speech of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on S.J. Res. 45, A Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq, As Delivered, Today we are asked whether to give the President of the United States authority to use force in Iraq should diplomatic efforts fail to dismantle Saddam Hussein’s chemical and biological weapons and his nuclear program. Now, I believe the facts that have brought us to this fateful vote are not in doubt. Saddam Hussein is a tyrant who has tortured and killed his own people, even his own family members, to maintain his iron grip on power. He used chemical weapons on Iraqi Kurds and on Iranians, killing over 20 thousand people. Unfortunately, during the 1980’s, while he engaged in such horrific activity, he enjoyed the support of the American government, because he had oil and was seen as a counterweight to the Ayatollah Khomeini in Iran. A vote for it is not a vote to rush to war; it is a vote that puts awesome responsibility in the hands of our President and we say to him - use these powers wisely and as a last resort. And it is a vote that says clearly to Saddam Hussein - this is your last chance - disarm or be disarmed.
6 months later, after plenty of chances for Saddam, we invaded.
Hillary stood behind that invasion until 2007, when Barak Obama started getting too far to her left.

Sigh Dusty Democratic Party plan for Iraq
Click on the blue part and read.
That’s what I pay attention to right now, the party’s platform, not so much the individual candidate. Notice I said, right now, I actually hate the primaries and all the hoopla with a passion - on both sides. I’m not a Democrat (and definitely not a Republican). I’ll pay more attention to the candidates when it’s closer time to the election.
I think it is the more general consensus in Congress, they are promoting re-deployment instead of an outright pull out.
I know Bush didn’t work for the CIA, but he’s head of the executive branch, and he is ultimately responsible. Same as a CEO. But don’t you think before you invade a country, you should have your facts straight? Don’t you think it is prudent to make sure that the intelligence you have is accurate?
And why has the war changed so much over the years? Nobody, including Bush knows what this war is even about anymore.
No, I don’t blame Bush for my mean cat. Karma is funny. He’s not so mean, just really contemptuous. He stares at people with such disgust in his eyes. I have another cat named Napoleon who is great - the ultimate great cat who is not really all that big, but makes up for it by dominating the house. He drives Karma crazy.

The main reason Hillary will be our next president is that the timing is right. Timing. it’s everything.
Just ask Einstein. Did you know that Einstein couldn’t get his formulas to work (special relativity), until he made time a variable.
You see Einstein stumbled upon the fact that time passes differently for everyone because it exists relative to each individual observer, that is, it lives only in our own individual minds. Each person sees Time differently
Imagine that. It’s in the timing.
True.
Fact.

Bosch,
Regarding your claims that we need FISA warrants in order to “wiretap” phone calls that occur out of the USA (which is absurd from the get go) do you realize that our intelligence services can’t even view freaking emails from foreign terrorists if they use an American server without a freaking FISA warrant?
Are you willing to take responsibility for mass casualties because you dinosaurs were unwilling and unable to get with the 21st Century technology which makes FISA more often than not obsolete?
I just saw Nancy Pelosi shaking in her shoes in response to questions about Mike McConnell’s findings about the desperate need to overhaul FISA.
I predict that she and Reyes will capitulate shortly. She may be a jackass, but she’s not suicidal.
Thomas and friends,
Sorry to burst your bubbles of joy that float merrily around at the giddy prospect of on trashing our military, but…
We know that Tillman was shot at close range. It has already been pointed out to you that this can easily happen under Friendly Fire circumstances.
We know that there was an Army coverup about his death being caused by friendly fire.
That does not mean that he was “fragged”, and the AP story states that the Pentagon found no reason to conclude that that occurred.
For all your “tears” you sure do want to believe the worst about our military.
