I hate to say it, but its clear that MV is pretty much a train wreck. A football team needs a real leader to play quarterback, and its clear that Vick doesn’t have any of the traits that make up a leader. If there was any hope that he would grow up and act like a man, that hope is long gone. He just keeps spiraling downward.

UGH! Cruella De Vick!

By @@

This one is interesting ml. Your use of “Cruel”la De”Ville” adequately portrays our society as it is. Things aren’t always black and white. Put me in the “part” where Cruella’s gray roots are showing.

While the inhumane sport of dog fighting is abhorrant, there are those who believe that the individual’s freedom to produce and own the fighting breeds takes precedence over the safety of the community. The Carrollton tragedy was felt by everyone involved albeit too late.

A family pet should receive the same love and respect that we show our children.

I don’t know all the details of Mr. Vick’s case. I’ll wait for the jury verdict. There does seem to be a great focus on the “money” he was making and will lose as a result of his indictment.

Oh well….maybe “it” can be redeemed if “his” innocence is proven.

Yeah, that’s real funny, torturing dogs, haha.

{{{{{{{WASHINGTON (AP) - The Pentagon told Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton that her questions about how the U.S. plans to eventually withdraw from Iraq boosts enemy propaganda. In a stinging rebuke to a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Undersecretary of Defense Eric Edelman responded to questions Clinton raised in May in which she urged the Pentagon to start planning now for the withdrawal of American forces. “Premature and public discussion of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq reinforces enemy propaganda that the United States will abandon its allies in Iraq, much as we are perceived to have done in Vietnam, Lebanon and Somalia,” Edelman wrote. He added that “such talk understandably unnerves the very same Iraqi allies we are asking to assume enormous personal risks.”}}}}}}}}

What does he think she’s trying to do?

I fully understand why the Atlanta Journal Constitution chose to censor Charles Krauthammer’s column this week:

Amid the Senate’s all-night pillow fight and other Iraq grandstanding, real things are happening on the ground in Iraq. They consist of more than just a surge of U.S. troop levels…. This has begun to happen in Anbar and Diyala. First, because al-Qaeda are foreigners. So are we, but — reason No. 2 — unlike them, we are not barbarous. We don’t amputate fingers for smoking, decapitate with pleasure and kill Shiites for sport.…..The recent capture of the leading Iraqi in al-Qaeda’s Iraq affiliate is no accident, comrade. You capture such people only when you have good intelligence and you have good intelligence only when the locals have turned against the terrorists.

Pardon me, Mr. Duh….

Under Secretary of Defense Eric Edelman, who told Clinton that “public discussion” of withdrawal is inappropriate: Premature and public discussion of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq reinforces enemy propaganda that the United States will abandon its allies in Iraq, much as we are perceived to have done in Vietnam, Lebanon and Somalia. … [S]uch talk understandably unnerves the very same Iraqi allies we are asking to assume enormous personal risks.

Edelman is directly contradicted by Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who testified that debate over Iraq redeployment has been “helpful in bringing pressure to bear on the Maliki government.” Additionally, these “very same Iraqi allies” aren’t unnerved by talk of redeployment, but overwhelmingly favor it — 71 percent of Iraqis want the U.S. troops to withdraw within a year.

Goldilocks and Mara,

Goldie blamed the fact that an inner city kid was paid a lot of money to work for Arthur Blank.

It becomes a “liberal versus conservative” argument when LIBS refuse to place the blame where it lies - on the individual thugs and the culture that encourages them to be thugs.

Goldie did not blame Vick, or the depraved “Hip Hop” culture that breeds youth for whom torturing dogs is normal entertainment.

Libs make excuses for this thug culture while conservatives universally decry it.

Those of us who decry it are called “racists” and then blamed for the deviant behavior of the thugs whose behavior libs excuse.

I have no problem with pornography being sold in hard copy (no pun intended) intended for those who enjoy looking and enjoying.

Actually, Buy Danish would disagree with me on the fighting breeds and say that it WAS the individual owner’s responsibility to assure that their dogs don’t become vicious.

I personally think the fighting breeds are genetically predisposed to attack and see no great value in allowing the breed to continue.

The reality is that ANY dog, no matter the breed, can become vicious if mistreated by their owner. Goes back to the owner’s responsibility now doesn’t it?

An interesting excerpt from a Pakistani newspaper:

(((There is perhaps no other issue on which so many Pakistanis are compromised as on religious extremism. They have admired the jihadis for fighting for them in Afghanistan and Kashmir, and for having the guts to stand up to an undemocratic government. Yet they have wanted them to stay at arm’s length, a distant threat — on the other side of the Durand line, in Fata, at least outside Islamabad. One by one the spatial barriers we have erected for them in our minds are being broken. On TV and in real life, they are inching closer.)))

Why aren’t these form of expressions ever dragged through the mud and made to feel like they’re causing the total decline of moral cognizance in America?

There may come a time When a lass needs a lawyer, But diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

There may come a time When a hard-boiled employer Thinks you’re awful nice, But get that ice or else no dice.

He’s your guy When stocks are high, But beware when they start to descend.

It’s then that those louses Go back to their spouses. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

I’ve heard of affairs That are strictly platonic, But diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

And I think affairs That you must keep liaisonic Are better bets If little pets get big baguettes.

Time rolls on, And youth is gone, And you can’t straighten up when you bend.

But stiff back Or stiff knees, You stand straight at Tiffany’s.

Diamonds! Diamonds! I don’t mean rhinestones! But diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

Buy Danish,

Your constant bleating is completely out of touch. Your idea of gaining the pulse of the black community is to watch Hannity and Colmes where the only black guests they have are some crazy black radical separatist like the New Black Panthers or an Uncle Tom sellout like Jesse Lee Peterson or Ward Connerly.

What the hell does Russell Simmons have to do with the Vick case? Russell Simmons has been trying to lead efforts to clean-up some of the more vulgar forms of hip hop.

To you, hip hop is nothing but 50Cent videos because that’s all the mainstream media wants you to see. Do you know why? Because that’s what most white kids buy. They completely ignore underground hip hop and artists that are more credible, such as the Roots.

Maybe you need to go through your childrens’ IPod/CD collection to see what exactly they’re listening to. I mean you wouldn’t want Young Jeezy giving them the idea to start breeding pit bulls or anything (sarc).

you built me up with your wishing hell; I didn’t have to sell you; you threw your money in the p** well;

you do just what they tell you; REPENT, that’s what I’m talking about; i shed the skin to feed the fake; REPENT, that’s what I’m talking about; whose mistake am i anyway?;

Cut the head off; Grows back hard; I am the hydra; now you’ll see your star; prick your finger it is done; the moon has now eclipsed the sun; the angel has spread its wings; the time has come for bitter things ; [chorus]

Libs make excuses for this thug culture while conservatives universally decry it

you mean the “thug” culture of backwoods Louisiana, or the “thug” culture of New Mexico, Tennessee, and Arizona…all bastions of conservative ideology? All of whom have only recently banned animal fighting? How about the 39 Republicans (as opposed to two farm-state Dems)who OPPOSED the federal ban on animal fighting (H.R. 137)? Is it the liberals who’re howling about animal fighting, including dog fighting, being “part of our heritage” and alleging that the government is infringing on their rights? And what are we to think of all the dang conservatives in PETA, ALF, WWF, ASPCA and all the rest?

In my opinion Vick reminds me of a sociopath. The symptoms of one are:

No empathy - obviously if you can arrange and watch to animals fight to the death, or painfully kill the loser of the fight.

No regret - he would apologize and feel sorry for what he had done if he felt regret

Unrealistic self image - he thinks he is fooling people because they are not as smart as he is. He can just smile and ignor it and because he is MV the rules do not apply to him.

Manipulative manner - thinking if you say what people want or expect to hear then they will no longer take into account the disgusting acts that you have committed.

It is a personality disorder and cannot be improved, like a mental disorder which can be with medication and therapy. The prisions are filled with sociopaths. It is estimated that 3% of the US population and 80+% of the prison population consists of these people

If other people want to go out and cheer this type of individual, that is their business. However I will no longer even turn on the TV to watch the Falcons, much less go to the dome as long as MV plays for them. When he leaves the team I will be a fan again.

AJC carried a story today stating team mate Horn says Vick is ‘saddened’ by events.The only thing Vick is sad about is he got caught big time by the Feds.Charges brought against Vick in the 18 page indictment are the same type of charges that are used to bring down large crime families. This is not small time stuff . Keep in mind the Feds have a 95-97% conviction rate. Vick don’t bother getting ready to play football.Concentrate on preparing for some quality time in prison. I can’t think of anyone more deserving than Vick.Maybe Fed Pens have a football team.Vick could sign for perhaps for 6 seasons. Mr Blank do the right thing and sack Vic. I don’t know much about hip-hop music, I don’t listen to it personally, but I don’t think dog-fighting has so much to do with the “depravity” of one particular culture, as it does with the depravity of the individuals who go to these events and torture and kill these animals.

The New York Times found that missing bottle of Prozac:

{{{{{{While reasonable people can differ on whether the coalition should have intervened against Saddam Hussein’s regime, it is clear at this point that the future of Iraq will have a profound effect on the region and, in turn, on peace and stability in the world. The United States endorses Mr. Ban’s call for an expanded United Nations role in Iraq to help Iraq become a peaceful, stable country — one that will be a responsible partner in the international community and a force for moderation in the region.}}}}}}}

Look at these two libs sniping at eachother:

{{{{{ Arlen Specter is a senior U.S. senator who expects to be allowed his say on the Senate floor. So he bristled when Sen. Harry Reid, the majority leader, brusquely cut him off at the end of the Iraq debate. “The leadership is setting a dictatorial tone,” Specter, R-Pa., said Thursday, still furious over his treatment the day before. Senators didn’t get here to be pushed around.”}}}}}}

{{{{What surprises me is that the extremists have fallen so deeply into their own narrative that they are wholly unaware of how their call for strict control of the news and their slander of the widely and rightly admired extraordinary hero that is General Petraeus exposes them to the public as deeply unbalanced, anti-intellectual and far, far removed from the mainstream of America. This disconnection from ordinary Americans is always obvious when a leftist resorts to the most foul sorts of profanity and vulgarity, but the rage that bubbles and erupts again and again is the sort of eye-opener that not even friends can ignore for very long. The demands for the Fairness Doctrine’s return displayed the same sort of zealotry in the attempt to shut down voices not in keeping with their own. The illiberal reflexiveness of the left tells you all you need to know about how they would govern if they ever got close to power.}}}}}}

BUT no, in your quest to prove ALL THINGS BLACK FILTHY, you pull out of your A$$ ONE ARTICLE from NYC.

Where in the article did it say HIP HOP CULTURE? I read where it said quote ” First are the drug dealers, who use pit bulls, or pit-bull crosses, as particularly vicious sentinels.” THE ARTICLE SPOKE OF DRUG DEALERS. Unless you, (which you may….who knows), associate ALL DRUG DEALERS as HIP HOP, even the white ones, the Latino ones and the MAFIA ran drug trade, then your argument lacks cohesion, merit, and is just plain STOOOPID.

Steve-zero,

Keep on making excuses for this depraved culture - it’s more likely than not that inner city residents will be the victims of these savage dogs.

Who owns these dogs?

Three distinct classes of irresponsible—or, more accurately, abusive—owners are the source of the CACC’s flood of pit bulls. First are the drug dealers, who use pit bulls, or pit-bull crosses, as particularly vicious sentinels

{{{…”When we raid a ring, not only will there be shotgun-armed lookouts, but we’ll search people and find drugs and weapons, and we’ll always find people wanted for rape, murder, robbery charges.”}}}

{{{Finally, the CACC gets pit bulls owned by teenagers and gang members—”young punks,” Watford calls them—who raise the dogs to intimidate. “It’s a macho thing,” Watford says. “These punks will get into the typical park scenario, a `my dog is tougher than your dog’ thing, in which they let the dogs fight.” I recalled a Bronx mother screaming at two teen lowlifes fighting pit bulls in the park in front of our apartment building. The teens, sporting military fatigues and shaved heads, ignored her and went on with their barbarous fun. Typically, these teens lose interest in their brutalized—and usually unneutered—dogs and let them loose, swamping the city with stray pit bulls.}}}

This story is truly frightening and arguably even more disturbing than the hideous treatment that Vick is alleged to have inflicted on his dogs because THESE dogs and their owners terrorize residential neighborhoods.

Not only that, the leash law here is not inforced AT ALL! This is a predominately white community where most natives drive pick-ups, are NRA card-carriers, listen to god-awful country music, and sport mullets. rushncap,

Perhaps you should take your ignorant, babbling complaints up with PETA who says:

Pit bulls are perhaps the most abused dogs on the planet. These days, they are kept for protection by almost every drug dealer and pimp in every major city and beyond. You can drive into any depressed area and see them being used as cheap burglar alarms, wearing heavy logging chains around their necks (they easily break regular collars and harnesses), attached to a stake or metal drum or rundown doghouse without a floor and with holes in the roof. Bored juveniles sic them on cats, neighbors’ small dogs and even children.

What sort of neighborhood do you think they’re describing, Munchkin?

Even if you Libs were finally willing to agree with the undeniable fact that this is an inner city problem, it wouldn’t be long before you blamed white Republicans for this cultural depravity.

It’s not enough that Vicious Vick went to Virginia Tech and had every opportunity in the world given him.

That just makes him a “spoiled athelete” who just happened to have a kennel called “Bad Newz” just like, Ozzie Osbourne, I suppose.

In the wake of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick’s indictment on charges related to dogfighting, all of Vick’s corporate sponsors, Falcons CEO Arthur Blank, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell received a joint letter this morning from hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, civil rights leader The Rev. Al Sharpton, and PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk roundly condemning dogfighting and other forms of violence.

Good morning, all.

Dammit LHU! Please don’t ban classic rock! IMHO, it’s still the filet mignon of modern music. And screw Tipper Gore.

True, it did have a lot of socially negative aspects to it (as pointed out by DebbieDoRight), but it also had many empowering and positive aspects as well.

Can rap say the same thing? I, blissfully, don’t know, but presume that any comparisons in this regard would be woefully inaccurate.

And while we’re at it, let’s legalize small amounts of cannabis for personal consumption. Damn Reagan and his neo-con war on drugs. Practically all it has accomplished is to fill our ever-growing number of prisons.

And do I understand that we may have to pass a second amendment for dog owners if BD tries to get her way?

Less government, not more! Enforce the laws already on the books! Quit trying to legislate people’s behavior!

See? I can quote the neo-con mantra!

Sorry AmVet…but, these things have GOT TO GO!

But, I WILL NOT stop there…

After I have successfully lobbied my gov’t to ban all unpatriotic and immoral music, I will then work tirelessly to accomplish these same goals with the movie, radio and television industries!

Sorry, but unpatriotic and immoral movies, television shows and radio shows will have to go as well…

This country needs more censorship… otherwise the dithering masses will go further astray.

This is definitely the business of our gov’t. I mean, who would be a better arbiter of patriotism and morality?

What all you libs need to understand is that we don’t speak the same language.

We neo-cons have our own methods of speech.

We say “met 8 out of 18 benchmarks” not true, but we pay enough for the corporate media to repeat it.

Al Gore never said he invented the internet, but we placed it well and now everybody believes.

We talk up the cost of Edward’s haircuts, but never mention the cost of Mitt’s makeup.

We stand up in the well of congress condemning f****** in the white house, while making appointments to wear diapers in the hooker’s room.

We said they would great us as liberators, and now we can’t take the hint and get out as they ask.

We swift boat actual veterans, while promoting the multipy defferred.

We tell you the fight in the Middle East is about freedom, when its about oil and money.

We say one thing and always, ALWAYS, mean another.

Even better, you say one thing and we twist it into something else.

Youv’e seen us do that one here all day.

If you take any thing any of us say at face value, you are as big a fool as we think you are.

Arlen Specter is a senior United States senator who expects to be allowed his say on the Senate floor. So he bristled when Senator Harry Reid, the majority leader, brusquely cut him off at the end of the Iraq debate.

“The leadership is setting a dictatorial tone,” Mr. Specter, Republican of Pennsylvania, said Thursday, still furious over his treatment the day before. “Senators didn’t get here to be pushed around.”

I love how the Republicans in Congress forget how they treated the Dems for the last 6 years.

Ah, fame and publicity. It brings the girls in high school, the ‘gifts’ in college. It is intoxicating in its first bloom, the promise of greater things to come. When fame arrives, the crush of photographers and constant attention is annoying and unwanted - but nothing like how hot it gets when the attention comes from shame and disgrace!
When you wish to hide from the world, nothing is better than coming home to man’s best friend, who lives but to give unquestioning love.

(I saw a picture of Vick today, surrounded by media, and wondered if this was a happy ‘before’ picture, or one from this week. I look at my dog and wonder how low a man can get. I do inspection work after storms, and a few times had to go from costal MS to the country. I often saw dogs tied up in the woods, and wondered if they were fighting dogs. Idiots!)

As soon as this message is posted I will get a lot of people saying I am wrong for what I believe. Save it, I believe anyone “CONVICTED” of hurting any animal should be punished with time in jail. That goes for all you hunters out there who kill innocent deer, bear, etc. in the name of sport, the same way Vick has been accused of killing dogs in the name of sport. So having admitted dog-fighting is wrong. I will say Michael Vick has not been convicted of anything, he like everyone else in this country deserves due process of our law. Secondly, everyone is saying he should be responsible for being a team leader. He is, on the football field. No one has the right to expect him to be a leader to any of his teammates in their personal life, how many of you take responsibility for your co-workers actions and behavior when you are away from the job “NONE OF YOU”. Third, all the evidence the FBI have, has come from convicted dog-fighters serving time in prison, whom they cut deals with to make these allegations against Vick. This is a fact stated by one of the mens sister. And being Americans we all know most of us would sell our souls to save our own a**. I heard someone say yesterday the police don’t lie to get convictions against people “please don’t make me remind you of a little old lady named Catherine Johnston”. If proven guilty Vick should be held accountable, but no-one seems to want this to play out in a court of law. As for Arthur Blank this man has done more for charity especially those that benefit children and this city, how many of you can say that. So stop raggin on him, give the man time to look at the evidence first, then decide what to do.

Ed Koch ‘bailing out’ on support for war. Last year, former New York City mayor Ed Koch attacked war critics for their attempts to “weaken the president“:

There is something terribly wrong with people seeking to demean and weaken the president in war time, thereby strengthening our country’s enemies. As a result of the language and tactics of those opposed to our presence in Iraq, our enemies have been emboldened, believing the American public to be sharply divided on the war, and in fact at war with itself.

But in the Politico today, Koch bails out:

I’m bailing out. I will no longer defend the policy of keeping U.S. troops in Iraq to assist the Iraqi central government in the ongoing civil war.

I’m very disappointed by the rush to judgment by Mike Lukovich and so many Americans. Sadly, it seems that many Americans are only concerned concerned about due process and personal freedoms when it affects them personally, and that they couldn’t care less about affording the same respect to others.

Michael Vick has been indicted, not convicted. While he may well have committed these crimes, they have not yet been proven. So while it’s fine to condemn crimes against animals, it’s not yet fine to condemn Michael Vick.

To the person who said he/she doesn’t believe that there are any (paraphrasing here), relevant lyrics in Hip Hop; please check out the lyrics below. Especially poignant to me is the verse where he says,”They say you can rap about anything except for Jesus; That means guns, sex, lies, video tapes; But if I talk about God my record won’t get played”.

This is the reason you probably don’t hear artists like Common or the Roots on the radio, they’re mostly speaking about positive things, the people who are in the Hip Hop Business; want you to only think about what they TELL you to think about. Hip Hop is just Wrestling revamped. Think about it, can anyone, (even Keith Richards Rolling Stones), do THAT much drugs/sex/etc. and live? OR look that good? Every drug Keith Richards’ has ever taken shows on his face. Danish, you’re getting played — McMahon, (WWE) showed Hip Hop the way, someone took the class, graduated and now is making millions off of it.

Jesus Walks by Kanye West

To the hustlas, killers, murderers, drug dealers even the strippers (jesus walks with them);

To the victims of Welfare for we living in hell here ohh yeah (jesus walks with tthheemm);

Now hear ye hear ye want to see Thee more clearly; I know he hear me when my feet get weary; Cuz we’re the almost nearly extinct We rappers is role models we rap we don’t think;

I ain’t here to argue about his facial features; Or here to convert atheists into believers; I’m just trying to say the way school need teachers; The way Kathie Lee needed Regis that’s the way I need Jesus;

So here go my single dog radio needs this; They say you can rap about anything except for Jesus; That means guns, sex, lies, video tapes But if I talk about God my record won’t get played Huh?;

Well let this take away from my spins; Which will probably take away from my ends; Then I hope this take away from my sins

“We certainly do not condone this activity and will not tolerate cruelty or mistreatment of animals. If Mr. Vick or anyone associated with the NFL is found to have violated state or federal law, the commissioner has stated publicly that he will impose significant discipline under our personal conduct policy.”

Really, how stupid can he be IF he honestly believes his own claptrap?

But from the tepid tone, somehow though I doubt he even does.

Maybe, like the other uninformed neo-con screw-ups here, he just parrots “provocative” nuttiness to bring attention to himself.

Shawny only further exposes his ignorance in lieu of expressing cogent thoughts and a seemingly innate ability to use red herrings in lieu of rational discourse. He only damages the ever diminishing, tiny argument that the pollution-loving, earth-hating, religious nut jobs and neo-cons have left in this matter when he speaks such foolishness.

And to think I thought that only the Andys and Dustys of the world were this idiotic and asinine and who obviously do believe their own myopic nonsense.

Fortunately for mankind, there are many, many people in this world who do give a damn about this planet and our children’s futures. And they, not these soon-to-be-extinct neo-cons, are the ones who will control our destinies and who along with the rest of us laugh at these cretins.

Bosch @ 10:05:

(((I’m all for defending ourselves against terrorists, it’s just the way we’ve gone about it, I don’t like.)))

Yeah, I didn’t like watching the two towers fall either Bosch. You would think that all the administrations from Jimmy Carter forward could have gone about it differently. That way 3,000 innocent lives could have been saved. Not to mention all the other innocent victims of terrorism around the globe before 9/11.

You posted yesterday that you hoped I had seen your comment regarding “sermons”.

I did see it. I saw right through it too.

Buy Danish:

I agree. The responsibility for the viciousness of a dog lies with the owner. Where you would restrict them to rural areas, I would outlaw the breeds altogether. I mean would anybody die because they couldn’t own a certain breed? I doubt it.

I had lunch with some friends yesterday and one of them commented that society waits until an animal or a child suffers abuse/death before their emotions kick in.

I responded by pointing out that our society is more inclined to get upset over animals. Kids? Not so much.

I read another article where an environmental group is advocating limits to the number of children a couple should have. I think they want to allow only two. Gotta save those natural resources by limiting the number of our greatest resources.

Then I visit a media site in India where the government is making plans to create a national registry of pregnancies and abortions performed in the country to curb sex-selective abortions and infant mortality.

Family planning groups are already opposing it as an unrealistic attempt to manage the unmanageable. Some women’s groups called WomenPowerConnect, said that the plan could “lead to too much intrusion in somebody’s private life. Women fighting to protect a woman’s right to abort female infants only.

WTH’s that all about? Culling the herd…

Yawwwwnnnnnnn.

Gore points out the number of Category 4 and 5 hurricanes has doubled in the last 30 years and global sea levels could rise 20 feet by the end of the century, creating tens of millions of refugees, according to his documentary.

Gosh, I wonder if everything else Al preached in his movie will turn out to be mindless hysteria and silly junk science?

Besides which, how bad could it be if San Francisco and New York City were underwater, dispersing their liberal populations to like Canada or somewhere far away?

Shouldn’t we want that?

You and Osama Bin Laden sound a lot alike.

Why do you hate America? (and why are you hiding?)

Coward…

LHU, it’s funny that he repeats the above important point. The point that we can laugh at an impotent, loathsome moron.

BTW, how are you feeling these days, Curls? I mean, blogging with your nuts cut off by the AJC? That’s gotta hurt!

Seems like you would find another venue where you’re not watched so closely.

Ah well. You had it coming and we enjoy the comedic effect of your new “compassionate conservative” style.

Their word is good enough for me.

Generals Plead for Time to Secure Iraq

(((“To me, it would be wrong to take ground from the enemy at a cost—I’ve lost 80 soldiers under my command, 56 of those since the fourth of April—it would be wrong to have fought and won that terrain, only to turn around and give it back,” he said.)))

The men and women who protect this country should NEVER have to “plead” to a bunch of vote-pandering politicians in Washington who are looking to gain ground in an election.

Let the Democrats have their pajama parties for the benefit of media coverage.

Let the Generals and the troops do what THEY do best.

4 and half years of wasted lives and billions is way too much.

Still no exit strategy.

Pathetic.

The Dems will fight the real enemy in Pakistan.

We will win with real leadership while the wingnuts scream wag the dog.

The American people should not ever get accustomed to or grow complacent with this President’s ineptitude.

We want to win. It is in our very nature.

We don’t want half-a*******ed attempts when our guys are getting killed and maimed every day in such a ridiculous and needless fashion.

There are only two solutions.

One, go in to win. I mean REALLY win. Not this mistaken jackas-sed kinda winning by these mamby pamby Republicans.

Either that or do what a REAL conservative, Senator Hagel recommends.

One or the other neo-cons.

In the first case, bring back the draft and lets get 500,000 pair of boots on the ground in Iraq.

I’d love to see the faces on those Young Republicans at UGA when conscription was mandatory. Talk about cockroaches running for cover when you turn the lights on!

Those gutless, talk big chickenhawks couldn’t get to Canada fast enough!

The few remaining idiots who still support this administration’s idea of a war are just second rate American losers.

AmVet are you an “old” warrior? I keep listening when they (our military) refers to this as a new war, a different kind of war; one that requires a different kind of strategy.

(((In the first case, bring back the draft and lets get 500,000 pair of boots on the ground in Iraq.)))

I’ll support ^^^ THAT when the military asks for THAT. It sounds like the Generals are pretty confident in the troops they have. You should share their confidence in our troops.

Anyhoo…

DoD News Briefing with Maj. Gen. Gaskins from Iraq

(((Q: And do you feel that right now you have enough troops to maintain all this progress that you’ve been telling us about this morning?)))

(((A: The second part of your question, YES, I DO.)))

Like I said, THEIR WORD IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. THEY WANT MORE TIME TO SUCCEED AND ACCORDING TO GENERAL GASKINS, THEY CAN DO IT WITH THE TROOPS THEY HAVE RIGHT NOW and if those troops choose to pray to their God, I’ll support THEIR right and THEIR need to do so.

You want to kill Bush and the Republicans.

They want to defeat YOUR enemy!!!!

It’s a good read btw. Put your bi-focals on and thank you for your service.
