Impeach Cheney THE VICE PRESIDENT HAS RUN UTTERLY AMOK AND MUST BE STOPPED.

{{{…The vice president asserted presidential power to create military commissions,…. The vice president initiated kidnappings, secret detentions, and torture in Eastern European prisons……The vice president has maintained that the entire world is a battlefield…..Mr. Cheney has championed a presidential power to torture in contravention of federal statutes …..He has advocated and authored signing statements that declare the president’s intent to disregard provisions of bills he has signed into law…..The vice president engineered the National Security Agency’s warrantless domestic surveillance program targeting American citizens on American soil in contravention of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978……Cheney scorns freedom of speech and of the press….}}}}

Let’s drop off “Elmer” Cheney in Bagdad with his trusty duck-hunting hunting rifle and see how long he lasts. I think he might last ten minutes before somebody frags the fool.

This solution could save US taxpayers the expense of prosecuting him. Good riddance to Tricky Dick, II.

Cheney’s (as well as Bush’s) lethal combination of incompetence and arrogance has resulted in the destruction of the ‘conservative’ movement and the Republican Party in this country.

The Dems seem to be taking the politically expedient approach of simply standing back while the Republicans continue to shoot themselves in the foot over and over and over.

While probably an effective way to ensure their Presidential nominees’ success in ‘08 AND shore up their Congressional majorities, this political calculation comes at the expense of leadership on issues that need to be addressed NOW.

Force this failed Presidents’ hand on Iraq, the deficit…

Make this administration accountable for the placement of incompetent partisans throughout our gov’t, its unconstitutional power grabbing and blatant law breaking, its VP’s persistent lies and ever more eggregious and specious claims of which laws do and do not apply, its policy of torture, its elimination of habeas corpus, etc.

Their political fortunes will be shortlived otherwise…

In my opinion: The fate of the bush administration is now irrevelant, we need to focus on the people behind the throne. The zionist conspiracy to control america grows stronger by the day, funded by the new york jews in control of the finanacial houses where we all invest our money. The Black Heart group and their ilk are looting america at a 15% tax rate, and using some small amount of that money to fund control of our government. Neither the Dummycrats nor the Repukes have the guts to stand up to them, and their cry of anti semitism, which they wear as a cloak of invulnerability. These zionist controled private equity groups add no value to the american economy, build no new factories, power plants, farms or other productive industries. They just reshuffle the deck while secretely giving themselves all the winning cards, at a 15% tax rate, while sticking our pension funds with the high risk loans and equity positions. When Israel wants more american money, weapons or soldiers to die in the cause of greater zionism, the new york jews and their helpers from synagoges around the country go to work, funded by the stolen profits out of new york, imho. We are being bled dry by these people, and somewhere someone is going to have to stand up to them. I am sorry to say that our best hope lies with an Iranian nuclear strike on Toilet Aviv, to free us of part of the zionist domination. We will still be left with the 10 million zionist traitors here in america, and their domination of our financial and political systems. The Iranians cannot help us there, we must engage and defeat the new york financial house jews and their lackies on our own. First, make sure your pension plan is not managed by a jew. Second refuse to allow your pension money to be invested in loans to private equity groups. Third, invest your money in Europe and Asia, not in the jewish controled american markets. I don’t know what else we can do, it appears hopeless at this point, but we have to try to fight back.

Mike, you seem desperate and naive, so I am going to help you (it may be hopeless, but I am trying to earn my way into heaven…).

You see, over the course of the last several years, there simply has not been much of a change in Congress’ job approval numbers.

From the high 20’s/low 30’s in ‘05 to mid 20’s now is just not that huge of a shift. Find another dead horse to beat…

The small dip is because people (like me) had hopes that a Democratic majority, even an extremely thin one, would help change the disastrous course our current President and the previous Congress were determined to follow.

Count me as one of those that is disappointed.

BUT (big butt!), also count me as one that is thankful that the free-spending, no checks and balances, do-nothing, corrupt Republican majority we had for 12 YEARS has been rightly deposed.

The previous, woefully incompetent and corrupt, Congress earned its spot on the bench.

Evidence: Do a little research on your own, if I just feed you facts it will not mean much to you. Start with KKR, Black Stone, Wolfoweitz, libby, pearle, feith, any of the big new york financial houses. Who controls those houses? Who are the principals? Ask yourself why we are in Iraq, who profits from that disaster? Did you know that early in the Iraq war, we were running very low on M-16 ammunition. Remember, we have paid for almost every weapon in Israels arsenal, and every factory, including the one that makes M-16 ammunition. Our so called ally sold us M-16 ammunition at some five times the world price of it. They sold us the oldest ammo in their warehouses. Ammo that we had already paid for with our military credits to israel. It is a one way street down which american wealth and weapons flow to israel. Ask yourself why 14% of the Senate is jewish, when the jewish population of America is only 2% at best. This is all my opinion, and you will have to do the hard work of research and analysis to form your own opinion. Or not, apparently my fellow americans are in fact Goyim, mere animals put here for the pleasure and use of the chosen people.

Good afternoon everyone. The weekend approaches and I’m hoping that the rainfall my “grass” saw yesterday evening will happen again before November!

Goldie, I have been thinking lately about the subject you referenced at 12:31.

I have noticed that finding a clever, witty, much less actually funny neo-con is an exercise in futility.

I’m serious! I can’t think of one really talented far right winger anywhere. Not an national TV. Not on the local scene. Not one! And definitely not on any on these blogs. (I guess Glenn Beck is almost funny at times.)

The one or two who try over at Wooten’s are just colossal failures at it and generally just use words incorrectly or trip over their tongues and look like fools!

Why is this?

Could it possibly be that they are all just too big a bunch of pr!cks to enjoy any humor or creativity in their lives?

Or possibly they take themselves so seriously that they just suppress these “liberal” desires?

Possibly they truly have no talent?

And why is there such an abundance of libs and moderates who are amusing and sharp?

Things that make you go hmmmmm…

Dear Friends and Relatives:

I have the distinguished honor of being on the committee to raise $5,000,000 for a monument of George W. Bush. We originally wanted to put him on Mt. Rushmore until we discovered there was not enough room for two more faces.

We then decided to erect a statue of George in the Washington, D. C. Hall Of Fame. We were in a quandary as to where the statue should be placed. It was not proper to place it beside the statue of George Washington, who never told a lie, or beside Richard Nixon, who never told the truth, since George could never tell the difference.

We finally decided to place it beside Christopher Columbus, the greatest Republican of them all. He left not knowing where he was going, and when he got there he did not know where he was. He returned not knowing where he had been, decimated the well-being of the majority of the population while he was there, and did it all on someone else’s money.

Thank you.

To nygrill: I deal in reality, not fantasy. What happened in wwii was awful, and I do not condone it. It does not give a blanket exemption to jews today for their crimes. Do your own research, draw your own conclusions. Part of the problem is the holocaust was so horrible that people today who have no connection to it but that in their own minds use the holocaust to hide behind, squashing any critism as being anti-semetic, and a prelude to another holocaust. I just want to expose the pro israel crowd for their manipulation of america into a war of extermination against arabs and muslims. Apparently anything the zionist do to us non jews in the name of israel is just fine and dandy. Loot our pension plans? Steal our weapon systems via political influence? Have America invade israel’s arab neighbors? Nuke Iran? imho, these are all things the zionist have either done already, or are actively working toward. Here’s some food for thought for poor ole Mike

WASHINGTON (CNN) — The Democratic leadership in Congress has lost some support among Americans — but not so much that the public wants Republicans back in charge, according to results of a new CNN/Opinion Research Poll released Friday.

Nearly half of 515 poll respondents, or 49 percent, said they disapproved of what Democratic leaders in Congress have done since taking over in January. Forty-two percent said they approve. In May, 49 percent of poll respondents approved and 44 percent did not.

However, 57 percent said they believe Democratic control of Congress is good for the country, as opposed to 31 percent who said it is not. In November, the same month midterm elections were held and Democrats assumed control, 67 percent of poll respondents said Democratic control of Congress is good for the nation.

The sampling error for those questions is plus or minus 4.5 percent, as they were asked of a half sample out of 1,029 poll respondents.

{Are you people who defend Congress by saying 12 years vs. 6 months the same people who blame Bush for 9/11 after 9 months in office?}

That is a very good point. And it illustrates how both political parties filter EVERYTHING through their filters to make it match their reality.

The GOP and Democrats slam each other constantly but when push comes to shove, like after 9/11, most do the expedient thing to save their political careers. A few have the courage I’m looking for, but not too many.

The two party system in American politics is completely corrupted or corruptible. And that is why I believe neither party can take the high road.

Amd worse yet the campaign finance NON-reform laws are such that lobbyists and PACs still RULE THE DAY.

Our government has been bought and sold by the highest bidders. And only Ralph Nader has had the guts to consistently say so.

We can change it, but it’s going to take a whole new mindset.

Raised @ 4:04— fear not. I think Obama will bring many new people to vote Dem who have not done so before. Many young people are very fired up and showing up at his rallies across America. And Hillary may just surprise us all — Pres. Bill was a big surprise for many back in ‘92… I believe they called him the “Comeback Kid”, didn’t they?

Plus, I think that whoever gets the Dem nomination will get a lot of help and support from Pres. Bill regardless. America is ready to not have a Repug in the White House anymore!

raised,

I agree. And yes, this country does have a recent history for sometimes lurching from one “extreme” to the next. (That’s not really the right word, but you get my meaning.)

Like the geniuses on Wall Street, some are always looking for the next hot thing I suppose. And lets face it, in this case, either Senator Clinton or Obama would be a startling and Shakespearean-like sea change.

And getalife’s idea of both on the ticket is truly an amazing concept, even in this “advanced” era of ours and one, honestly, I had never even considered.

AmVet— I agree. It’s sad that the rest of the world is so ahead of America in voting for women into positions of power. Why is that? Why was it such a sea change to have a woman elected as Speaker of the House back in Nov.? Remember how the talkers on hate-radio kept saying that Speaker Pelosi would be the “end of America!”… I still feel that America has had enough of what the Repugs have to offer and will vote resoundingly for who the Dems offer instead.

Are we at war? Hey, liberals don’t know. War?

Support the troops? Hey, say liberals, troops are torturers, killers, shouldn’t be funded, should be made to retreat, take-all misfits, and sorry Generals. BUT…… liberals support the troops. Yessssss sireee!!

Terrorism? Not any, say the liberals. Just Bush wanting to listen to their phone calls. Those bomber cars in London are NOTHING! Those terrorists aint coming here AGAIN.

So, ATTENTION, Liberals..next week is the fourth of July, Independence Day. Get out your black ribbon, flag (to burn), sack cloth and ashes to show your usual appreciation of our freedom and our government. You know, like you express here Monday through Friday.

Goldie,

One of the reasons that America is so far behind the rest of the world regarding women leaders is because there are still IMHO so many essentially hung up prudes.

One case that demonstrates this is when I was stationed in England in the mid 70s and at night when we would go to the pubs, there was always much good natured ribbing back and forth between the locals and the GIs.

We’d tell them that if it wasn’t for us they’d all be speaking German. And they’d just laugh at our prudish morals and rather unsophisticated way of looking at the world.

(One of the better jokes I remember was that we were going to annex the whole country, turn it into the 51st state and call it Blokelahoma. It was especially funny as back then the English were very enamored with our Western movies and cowboy culture.)

One of my favorite Todd Rundgren songs:

It’s a woman’s world, a woman’s world

She was the doe who mothered Bambi

I was the brave and magnificent stag

Let’s not pretend I’m more than handy

Now that the p*** cat’s out of the bag

‘Cause it’s a woman’s world

I was not asked, I was not confronted

But I must admit In most ways it’s the thing that I wanted

Now it’s a woman’s world, don’t get excited

It’s a woman’s world, ‘cause it always was

It’s a woman’s world, don’t fight the feeling

It’s a woman’s world, a woman’s world

She will outlive me, that’s for certain

It’s a statistical fait accompli

And when I make that final curtain

She’ll write an embarrassing book about me

‘Cause it’s a woman’s world

It’s been declared, just lower your weapon

And I must admit It crossed my mind this finally would happen

Now it’s a woman’s world, nobody panic

It’s a woman’s world, ‘cause it always was

To liberals,

Did I say something that is not true? NO, I didn’t. Like you say, freedom of speech. Let it prevail.

I supported Clinton until he acted like a crazed jackass. After that, NO.

Most reports from troops as I learn from parents of troops, my relatives and reports, say that they support their Commander-in-Chief and dislike the thought of retreat. Nobody is crazy about war or killing or being away from home, but our troops are doing the duty they volunteered to do.

Where you liberals get your hearsay about our military must be from DNC and others backing timidly off from fighting. That’s liberals speaking, not the troops.

Dusty, I see detriment (?sp) from both sides. The past couple of days I’ve told you and all others that I’m an Independent.

What I do see is that the neo-cons find random articles from neo-con websites, post them, and claim that proves their point. I never see any solutions to problems.

I, at least, despite being an expert on anything try to debate issues without name calling. You, my dear, are a hypocrit for saying that I am blind to the issues when you continue a constant attack on the majority on this blog, without ever reading or even thinking about what any of us say. I, however, have stopped and thought about a lot of what conservatives here say, especially people like Paul who, even though I disagree with a lot of what he writes, he does it with class and without name calling. That is what shows intelligence, you are willing to actually think and disseminate information from all sides. You however, can not grasp that concept. You speak in absolutes, without any kind of comprimise. Your types are what is detremental to our country.

I happen to love this country and hate seeing the bi-partisan hacks from both sides arguing all the time, and nothing ever getting done. Unlike most, I have family in another country, and could easily move if I choose, but I DON’T, why is that? Because I’ve lived here all my life, my children are very happy here, my life is here, I love this country, despite the problems I experience, the same kind of problems are everywhere, but I am a rare breed of people, I’ve lived in other places, I have family and friends abroad, I hear what they say too, and just face it, this country is losing it’s credibility.

Just because YOU choose to be pigheaded and blind doesn’t mean that there aren’t dozens if not hundreds of examples of the troops coming home who have rightfully soured on this idiotic nonsense in Iraq. And it’s all propagated by the likes of the Bush-Rove-Cheney administration and it’s more cowardly supporters.

And many, many of our returning sons and daughters, some missing arms, legs, eyes and spirits have written compelling articles detailing what “patriots” like you refuse to hear and see over there in the desert.

If you like I’ll start with Pat Tillman’s brother Kevin’s experiences and analysis of the situation in Iraq. And then I’ll post another one every day just for you. Not that they would have a better insight than Dusty, of course. They don’t really count at all, do they Dusty?

I watched the debate last night and got my answer about why Gravel’s there. To make the other candidates uncomfortable.

It was broadcast from Howard U and the topic was race relations. The answers were, by and large, predictable and variations on each other’s themes. (And Dems don’t march in lockstep? Right…). Except Gravel - and Richardson. I wish that guy had more money.

Biden, to his credit, took a direct tack with HIV/AIDS. Every else’s answers were pretty much about closing the barn door after the horse had left. Biden told about meetings in his district telling men to take responsibility and wear condoms, telling the women they have the power to say “no.” He got a good response - even Rev Sharpton’s facial expressions were okay.

About all of them want to get us into another war. Most alluded to going it alone. They call it “peacekeeping” - not one mentioned, nor did anyone ask - to comment on al Qaeda’s call for what to do if the Crusaders invade a Moslem country. Here we go again.

I said the debate topic was race relations. Coulda been poverty in America. Whatever - the questions were predictable, regardless of the topic.

You’ve read many of my posts and think me conservative? On some issues you’re spot on. I’m real conservative - like on letting people do their own thing as long as no one else is harmed and the gov’t pretty well leaves people alone. On other things I’m pretty liberal - like starting with a clean sheet on education, rolling over the school districts, parishes, counties and states and giving a kid in Backwater, Georgia the same resources, opportunities and responsibilities as a kid in Pelosi’s Knob Hill. Same with environment, energy standards - free choice to buy whatever one wants with no restrictions so we can keep dying in the Middle East isn’t my idea of the smartest policy. On a lot of other issues - take a look at the Green Party.

But hey, call it what you will. It makes for more fun when the topic shifts and a point or opinion comes way out of left field - or center field - or right field. Nuts. I said I wouldn’t do sports analogies.

What makes you think I don’t read what is on this blog? I do and much of it is disgustingly partisan. The name calling of government officials, conservatives, and anybody “red, white and blue” is rempant. Not to mention salacious comments aimed at women posters. I don’t care where you came from. I’m glad you like it here. Just act like it and not like these brainless ones.

Paul is not one of them. He’s a nice guy who doesn’t like to fight. He tries to remind you liberals of the war in a nice way. I do not take it lightly when people act like my country is an ungoverned hodgepodge of cowards. If support is invisible, then I can’t see it.

Have a patriotic weekend. Same to all of you.

Yes Paul, you are a real conservative, and kudos to you. I have friends who are card carrying members of the Republican party, the real Republican party, before it was hijacked. Those same friends make me look conservative.

I think it was Norman Mailer, in an interview on NPR, who said a while back (I could be wrong, I’ve partaked a bit tonight - got off early) who said he was a conservative, a conservative who wants to preserve the Constitution and hates seeing those posing as conservatives who bastardize the Constitution.

I’m all about the government leaving people alone, especially when it comes to abortion, me being able to drink on Sundays, and gay marriage. But somehow they don’t see it that way. The neos want the government out of their lives when it comes to money, but not on social issues.

Hey, so are you taking a vacation next week? I hope you have a great time. Relax and drink many, many Belgian ales.

Bill O Reilly turned me on the death penalty. I read one of his books even before case after case after case after case of a person on death row was overturned by DNA evidence. Or corrupt authorities. But I like his alternative to the death penalty. Makes sense.

Y’know - the same DNA procedures are clearing a lot of guys who’ve been convicted of rape, child molestation, etc. The more comes out, the scarier our criminal justice system seems.

As my nephew - the ex deputy DA, now criminal defense attorney says, “the justice system isn’t about justice.”

Dusty — it’s sad that a young immigrant like myself is far more patriotic about this country than you could ever be. It’s too bad that you don’t know the difference between “patriotism” and “nationalism”.

Thanks, Bosch

I’m gonna have to think about that - new concepts - or old ones reintroduced?

Dusty - the kind of thinking that enjoys reading STRATFOR reports isn’t for everyone. Don’t despair.

Midori, OOOOHHHHH, you are scary! My daughter and I will work on our spells this weekend, maybe we can solve the worlds problems — frogs are gross like locusts. Maybe we can change the corrupt politicians into their real “animal” selves. What would Bush be? What would Cheney be? Hmmmm…interesting.

Dusty, So what does anything I say make you think I don’t like living in America? I love my country just like you do. I hate seeing fake conservatives flushing it down the “worst toilet in Scotland.” [Anybody know that movie reference?]

Paul,

Somebody in the debate last night (I think it was Obama) used a phrase I have always liked. He said that justice as in Justice for All sometimes meant “just us”!

Paul, I don’t know about Bill O, I don’t keep up with him. What’s his take on the death penalty? There’s nothing like seeing two friends you’ve known for 30 years laying in a casket (both stabbed to death) and not wish those responsible (and in both cases, it was a slam dunk) were hung up at the nearest tree. I went to a funeral today, really sad, a friend of mine’s son killed himself, so I’m all into the wine tonight. I feel another hard headache coming on.

Rushncap, Isn’t that crazy how people like us, who were born in other countries (I have dual citizenship) well, people like Dusty just can’t understand why we love it here? I certainly wouldn’t have the opportunities (I don’t know about you) I have here. But, I could drink on Sundays if I wanted!
