Wait till they see what’s in the democrat “box.”

They’ll be back.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ®.

Let’s look and see what’s up in the Atlanta Urinal “Iraq Development” section, the place where these Kandy As-s Kowards usually glorify Al Qaeda violence and get their anti American jollies:

Chirp….

Chirp….

Chirp…..

Hellllllllloooooooooo?

Geez, awful quiet in there.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ®.

{{{According to exit surveys from the last several national elections, Hispanics vote Democratic over Republican by about a 7-to-3 margin. There is no reason to think this will change any time soon. Consequently, the more Hispanics there are in this country, the better it is for the Democrats.}}}

So what has Bush got on his mind?

Does he want to kill the Republican party?

Geez.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ®.

{{{Saying the Senate’s time was too precious to expend on what would have been limited debate on a limited number of Republican amendments to the bill, Reid vowed: “Everyone that’s been home, there are two issues that are foremost in their minds: Number one is the Iraq War and number two are gas prices. We’re going to deal with that as soon as we finish with this immigration legislation.” So the Senate took Friday off, wasted Monday in the predictable futility of failing to pass a nonbinding nullity, a resolution expressing constitutionally irrelevant lack of confidence in the attorney general, then debated lowering gasoline prices — or cooling the planet; or something — by spending taxpayers’ money to raise food prices.}}}

Gee, what accomplishments you Kandy As-s Kowards are amassing, now that you are in charge.

Trying to make it easy on your biographer?

The Wingnut World Domination Tour rolls on:

{{{In order to pass the bold reforms that would “make a break with the ideas, the customs and the behavior of the past,” French President Nicolas Sarkozy first needed his political party to win a majority parliament. After the first round of voting on Sunday, he appears well on his way toward achieving that, with pollsters predicting that the center-right Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) could take between 383 and 470 of the 577 seats in the National Assembly. His UMP won 40 percent of the vote, while the Socialist Party struggled, winning only 25 percent. The run-off is on Sunday.}}}

Coming soon to a city near you.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ®.

{{{Our message has been the same to one and all: We will not permit Iraq to be a battleground for other powers. In the contests and ambitions swirling around Iraq, we are neutral and dedicated to our country’s right to prosperity and a new life, inspired by a memory of a time when Baghdad was—as Washington is today—a beacon of enlightenment on which others gazed with admiration. We have come to believe, as Americans who founded your country once believed, that freedom is a precious inheritance. It is never cheap but the price is worth paying if we are to rescue our country.- Mr. Maliki is prime minister of Iraq.}}}

Any questions?

Ml, this is probably what you would like to believe, but I promise you those ship jumping republicrats are not stupid enough to swing to the dem party. Stay home maybe. But, they realize punishing achievement through higher taxes and rewarding complacency and ineptitude through income redistribution will only develop a nation of entitled government subjects who lack work ethics and industriousness. Heck look around at what 40 years of democrat’s ruling Congress has created.

The “war on poverty” is about as stupid and unattainable as the “war on drugs”. But really, when people use government to force other individuals to be what they want them to be, what do we expect other than stupidity?

This is not unprecedented…remember how the GOP turned on Gingrich, the man who’d dragged them into the congressional majority, as soon as it became politically expedient to do so? In response to Goldie’s comments and others, here is a segment from an email I received from Senator Johnny Isakson. If you want to know who is dragging this country down it’s not conservatives but anarchists:

“I cosponsored and voted for an amendment offered by Sen. Coleman to close a loophole in existing immigration law to allow local law enforcement to acquire information about the immigration status of a person they have probable cause to believe is not lawfully in the U.S. There are several “sanctuary cities” around the United States that have prohibited their law enforcement to inquire about a person’s immigration status. In certain cities, a person can be charged and even tried without the local authorities ever inquiring about whether the person is in the United States legally. The amendment would make it clear that state and local governments may not prohibit their law enforcement from checking a person’s immigration status when they have probable cause to believe that the person is in the United States illegally. Unfortunately, this amendment failed.”

I hope all 20 million illegals move to those sanctuary cities.

Well that was certainly brilliant Paul. The ethanol issue was certainly not an unintended consequence. It was entirely predictable. Replace a natural resource with another that has to be GROWN, couple that with a president going all over the globe talking about “corn cartels” and what do you expect. What you get is a OKEC. Same old crap. Different perpetrators. And by the way Paulie, all these years of Republicans in power and we still got farm subsidies. Which by the way when combined with NAFTA only exacerbates the immigration “problem” that you wing idiots shreek and wring your little white hands over. DUUUHHHH!!!

Agribusiness wields incredible influence. The “family farm” is largely a myth - unless you want to look at the families who control the US sugar industry (Florida) - talk about subsidies! They marshall a bevy of lobbyists who work not just Congress but also agencies such as the FDA, contribute huge sums to candidates, special interest and partisan groups, and play both sides of the fence so no matter who’s in power, the status quo will remain.

Money and power, again. Keeps coming back to complete Federal funding of Federal elections, doesn’t it? (Rhetorical question -)

Goldie,

As someone who grew up in the Midwest, I have very mixed feeling about farm subsidies. It is a very complicated issue but I agree that rewarding non-effective farms is counter-productive.

And corn-based ethanol is only one seventh as effective as sugar-cane based ethanol. The Brazilians are already capitalizing on this.

BTW countless family run farms have gone under in my lifetime and have been replaced by the multi-nationals like Archer Daniels Midland.

It is odd that most neo-conservative politicians will scream against entitlements programs for the poor and sick but absolutely see no problems with rampant and vastly more expensive corporate welfare.

They know that the lobbyists for these organizations can literally line their walls with money and in return will try to pass legislation that helps them at the cost of middle-class Americans.

Why do you think the oil industry, including Enron when they were still around, has given over 80% of their political contributions to the Republican party in the past decade?

The SPY Act, a new anti-spyware law, makes it impossible for consumer rights groups to sue DRM companies for putting spyware in their DRM (like Sony did last year, with its rootkit DRM). The irony is that spyware is already illegal, so all that this act does is immunize big media companies that sneak spyware onto your computer.

Only someone who never wore the uniform or thought seriously about national security would make threats at this point. What our soldiers need is responsible strategy, not a further escalation of tensions in the region. Senator Lieberman must act more responsibly and tone down his threat machine.

And please check out the end of Clark’s brief post, where there is a link to sign his petition going to Bush, urging him to work with our allies diplomatically in solving the nuclear threat from Iran…

But they are still democrats you putz. And they vote with the party in most cases.

A while back I decided to check on the major political parties voting tendencies in Washington and was surprised to see that the Democrats do vote slightly more “en masse” that the Republicans.

But obviously, both pretty much vote in lock-step with their leadership. Being a good party member generally seems to mean that strict obedience to any and all matters of party importance is required.

And that is why, IMHO, as long as these two heavily corrupted political parties utterly dominate American politics there will NEVER be any meaningful change in DC.

And tell me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that what the American people desperately want?

Make Your Own Bush Speech

By Hey, Moron

June 13, 2007 12:21 PM | Link to this

Luck,

Nobody with a brain has ever questioned whether or not the Iraqis would rid themselves of Al Qaeda. They will. Why would anyone think with a functioning cerebral cortex think that the Iraqis would hand the country over to a bunch of foreigners or that Al Qaeda was strong enough to impose itself on Iraq? They didn’t even run Afghanistan, the Taliban did.

And the Iraqis don’t need us to get rid of Al Qeada for them. The problem with idiots like you is that you stupidly think that people who want to kill Al-Qaeda are per se pro-democracy and freedom.

Would the Chinese kill Al-Qaeda if they were in Shanghai? Would they do it in the name of freedom and democracy? You see. You’re an idiot.

The problem in Iraq isn’t Al-Qaeda except to the extent that they will try to claim some hand in our failure there. The problem in Iraq is that the Sunnis and Shia and Kurds look out for their own interests first, not their country’s. Because of that there will be a battle for primary control of that country and its resources. That battle is simply being pushed down the road while our troops remain targets. The outcome of this dispute will very likely not lead to democracy or freedom, but religious tyranny and exploitation of the loser of the conflict. Morons like you can tilt at the windmills of freedom and democracy in the Middle East, but realists like myself realize that we have paid a high price for a very uncertain future in Iraq. In addition, popular opinion and a representative democracy in these countries is not necessarily in our interests. The main reason that we support Musharraf in Pakistan is precisly because freedom and democracy could lead to a nuclear theocracy that is popularly elected.

And by the way, you are a dumb azz.

Very good article on Fred Thompson. While some Republicans look at him as manna from heaven, in reality he doesn’t have a prayer. Any candidate in the coming election that is embraced by the right wing will be dead mangled meat in the general election. Not to say that he can’t be nominated, just that he will get crushed in the general. Guliani is flipping and flopping like a fish out of water. He’s trying to walk a fine line between moderates and the lunatic right. If he gets too close to the wingnuts….well. In reality the Republicans have only one candidate that can make it a race in the general election. That candidate is John McCain. McCain can attract both moderates and independents that went over in the 06 elections. The jury is still out as to whether Guliani can hold those votes for the Republicans. Romney….no chance whatsoever. Right wing bigots will never accept his religion. Too bad. But it opitimizes the the polarization that has literally destroyed the Republican party in an amazingly short period of time.

The Dems have much the same issue. Why in heaven’s name have those of us who are the true majority in this country, from left center to right center not just broken away from both parties to form a party that will dominate politics in this country for the rest of eternity. Why do we allow this small number of racists, bigots, and religious fanatics to force us, the true majority to always be choosing the lessor of two evils when it should be us doing that exact thing to them. Unbelievable.

The cartoon is very indicative of the conservative people in this country. It shows that we are not sheep who blindly follow the leader down a very slippery slope. A cartoon depicting the liberals would show Ted and Nancy and Harry following Hillary right on over the cliff.

Progress in Iraq spells defeat for Al Qaeda and prompts them to bomb a Shiite mosque.

(((This is why not just al-Sadr, but also other key Shiite figures including Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, top Shiite cleric Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and even Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have issued statements. The bombing represents a major litmus test for the Iraqi Shiite leadership and their Persian patrons regarding their ability to maintain discipline within the ranks of the Shia. The Shia are under all the more pressure not to react because mainstream Sunnis are in the process of fighting the jihadists, and hence Shiite leaders cannot afford to have Shia start attacking Sunnis in reaction to the bombing.)))

(((The jihadists hope these killings will make it difficult for the Sunni political principals to continue in talks with the Shia.)))

(((In fact, there are reports of jihadist plans to kill al-Sadr. Killing Shiite leaders — including al-Sistani and leading Shiite politician Abdel Aziz al-Hakim, who provides the link between Washington and Tehran — would be difficult though not entirely impossible to pull off.)))

I’m just wondering where all this Republican independent thought was in November 2004. My opinion is that the voters didn’t bother to find out what this administration was doing. When somebody tried to tell them they called them names. Finally, in the almost the time it takes a normal kid to get through high school, these folks became educated. I am disappointed in them, but I figure better late than never. It takes a lot to bust that mind set.

The GOP isn’t in trouble because of conservatives, but because we know that Bush is not one and thus why should we support someone that is not much different than Ted Kennedy.

What has Bush done?

Got the US into war that he refuses to win and with no plan what the end-game would be;

Created a giant black hole for money to get sucked into with his medicare reform;

Oversaw the take over by the Federal Government of the local school systems with No Child Left Behind;

Signed into law, a law that he stated was unconstitutional, that limits political speech—sponsored by Mr. Looney tunes John McCain;

Katrina;

and now, his immigration amnesty plan.

And AET, many immigrants (as opposed to illegal aliens) are as upset at Bush’s amnesty plan as many native born Americans are. You would be too if you went through what it takes to come to the US legally only to see Bush and McCain et al give US residency to millions of criminals.

My goodness! Nobody defined it, much less dealt with it until now.

(((Terrorism remains an abstract concept since the international community has never properly defined it. The League of Nations failed to adopt a convention for the prevention and repression of terrorism in 1937 because of a lack of agreement between member states. For the same reason the United Nations, despite many debates during its 60 years, has never managed a satisfactory definition. When the International Criminal Court was established in 1998, it had to exclude international terrorism from its jurisdiction, although it was tasked with prosecuting a wide range of other crimes, including genocide.)))

(((The topic has attracted considerable interest in the media: there is a publishing boom in scholarly and other books on the subject. Authoritarian regimes have seized power in many countries claiming that they alone can preserve the state from this serious threat. Most importantly, the 9/11 attacks prompted United States President George Bush to declare war on terrorism.)))

(((Washington must be pleased. Many more states have signed cooperation agreements with the United States than ever before, even in the worst chill of the cold war and the fight against international communism. The European Union and Russia have both rallied to the US cause, increasing cooperation against terrorism, even if their support has more to do with a communion of interests than any real agreement.)))

Well now we’ve seen it. It’s ugly. It’s dangerous.

Last word on the Soprano’s finale.

They filmed three endings. They should have showed each one. The one ending is obvious. The man comes out of the bathroom, and drills Tony. Then he points his gun at A.J., who slips behind his mother in the booth, and uses Carmella as a shield. A.J. fends one shot after another off with his now bullet riddled mom until…click click click, the assassin is out of ammo. A.J. and the gunman make eye contact as the gunman reloads. Meadow, who has been a stupified witness to this point, suddenly snaps out of it, grabs a pot of hot coffee from a nearby still-stupified waitress and lets the gunman have boiling water in the face….He goes down, the nreloaded gun laying at his feet. Meadow calmly picks the gun up, and delivers this oath as she empties the gun in his head, “you Mother…F’n…Piece…Of…Sh—”.

Meadow drops the gun, looks disgusted at a wide eyed A.J. and walks out of the parlor.
