BAGHDAD, Iraq - Tens of thousands marched through the streets of two Shiite holy cities Monday to mark the fourth anniversary of Baghdad’s fall.

DOE average cost of gasoline:
Bill Clinton takes office on 1/20/1993. 317 weeks into his term of office on 2/15/99 the cost of a gallon of gas was = $0.939/gal.
George W. Bush takes office on 1/20/2001. 324 weeks into his term of office on 4/9/2007 the cost of a gallon of gas is = $2.78/gal.
$2.78 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey
You do the math! It’s not hard to see why the economy did so great under Clinton. Hell, in the good old days, people could actually afford to drive to work!

This woman is tripping slam out of her mind:
So this folly will continue, fueled by a perplexing cultural ethos that worships individual gun ownership. A century from now, anthropologists will look back and wonder what in the world this was all about. They’ll sift through the ruins and the historical record, in much the same way anthropologists today puzzle over cannibalism and the sacrifice of virgins in long-dead civilizations. They’ll wonder how a highly advanced and sophisticated culture allowed unchecked personal gun ownership, despite the carnage. Sorting through this insanity will no doubt inspire reams of literature of anthropologists and social historians a century from now. Perhaps by then the American love affair with the gun will be a curious moment in history; for now, it’s a lethal and inexplicable reality.- Queen Pinko, Urinal
1) It is absolutely the truth, that the closer we get to the Easter promise of salvation through Christ, the more loony the candy as-ses pervert liberals will become. The mere thought of the world worshipping God instead of them drives these degenerates totally insane.
2) America’s history and the gun are irrefutably and forever interlocked, they go hand and hand, much like deviant sexual behavior is part and parcel of liberalism. Does the saying “the shot heard round the world” sound familiar?
3) Americans live free from tyranny, because we shot to death the original tyrants and all the other potential tyrants took note of this. When we are unable to defend ourselves, and believe me, little socialist Tucker knows this, we will be ripe for enslavement.
4) More people die in car accidents then gun deaths by far and away, anyone ever heard a lib freaking out about the automobile carnage?
5) The majority of gun deaths in the United States are black on black crime committed with illegally owned firearms. WTF good will it do to make laws against gun ownership?

Continued-
6) A June CBS News report proclaimed Great Britain “one of the most violent urban societies in the Western world.” Not surprisingly to many observers, the violent crime rate has risen dramatically and steadily since gun bans have been instituted.”
7) Why no mention of Senator Webb, flaming pinko, toting his cannon to work in Congress? Oh, I’m sorry, that “wasn’t his gun.”
It’s obvious that this lib wants to take your guns away from you so that you are left unprotected and have no recourse against aggression. Gun crimes can be reduced by stepped up enforcement of existing gun laws, instead of letting these little darlings walk, like Tucker advocates for all the time, lock them up.

I know reporting the successes of Al Qaeda is the top priority of you candy as-s filthy mouth pervert liberals, after all they are your allies, but do you have to qualify all of the good news coming from Iraq with some bad?

April 9, 2007 9:53 AM | Link to this
NEW YORK - In a rueful reflection on what might have been, an Iraqi government insider details in 500 pages the U.S. occupation’s “shocking” mismanagement of his country — a performance so bad, he writes, that by 2007 Iraqis had “turned their backs on their would-be liberators.”
First came the “monumental ignorance” of those in Washington pushing for war in 2002 without “the faintest idea” of Iraq’s realities. “More perceptive people knew instinctively that the invasion of Iraq would open up the great fissures in Iraqi society,” he writes.
What followed was the “rank amateurism and swaggering arrogance” of the occupation, under L. Paul Bremer’s Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA), which took big steps with little consultation with Iraqis, steps Allawi and many others see as blunders:
In his 2006 memoir of the occupation, Bremer wrote that senior U.S. generals wanted to recall elements of the old Iraqi army in 2003, but were rebuffed by the Bush administration. Bremer complained generally that his authority was undermined by Washington’s “micromanagement.”
Although Allawi, a cousin of Ayad Allawi, Iraq’s prime minister in 2004, is a member of a secularist Shiite Muslim political grouping, his well-researched book betrays little partisanship.
On U.S. reconstruction failures — in electricity, health care and other areas documented by Washington’s own auditors — Allawi writes that the Americans’ “insipid retelling of `success’ stories” merely hid “the huge black hole that lay underneath.”
What a complete and utter failure this President has been!

A Urinal hit piece on religion:
Across metro Atlanta, pews will be packed with one-day visitors. Parking will be scarce, and some disgruntled “regulars” will be angry that the traffic both inside and outside their churches will be heavier than normal because of “Chreasters,” a euphemism some folks use to describe people who come to church only on Christmas and Easter.-Atlanta Urinal
I got one question for you church going “experts” at the AJC, how the F would you know what happens at Easter Services?
We all know the intentions of the AJC is to keep you away from your place of worship, they are sick in the head and even thinking about lots of people Praising the Lord upsets them to no end, as you can clearly see^^.
Make no mistake, we welcome you with open arms, fellowship and some good breakfast, come and celebrate the Risen Lord with us in His house.
And while you are amongst us, your brothers in Christ, think of all the ridiculous things you’ve heard about Christians from the mainstream pinko media and just think of how totally bogus and false all of their nonsense really is.
Just like everything else they say.
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Go rain on someone else’s parade, AJC.

Your perception of what’s going on in Washington is accurate. It’s a “tribal” war within the U.S.. Democrats vs. Republicans. It’s fueled by political ambitions. How sad.
Regardless of what the PNAC “conspiratorial” crowd wants to believe, George Bush did not enter office “hungry” for war. He responded to an invitation sent by “the radical extremists”. One that had been sent many times prior to his taking office, but went unanswered over decades.
The enemy that attacked us on 9/11 wasn’t restricted within the borders of any one country. They are presently being “restricted” by our actions in Iraq, however.
The enemies of George Bush’s Iraq Policy are being aided by the MSM. I’ve listened to too many independent reporters, along with military personnel, give reports of positive results on the surge effort in Iraq. They also report the negative. Both accounts have to be given within “one” report/article before I’ll believe what I’m hearing/reading.
One such article by Greg Reeson:
Imagine if the mainstream media devoted as much time to stories about the good things our troops are doing as they allow for the bombs and the blood. Perhaps Americans would be less skeptical about our prospects for success if they were able to tune in to the evening news and see a balanced approach to Iraq, one that provided a truer picture of what was happening on the ground. Perhaps then the calls for precipitous withdrawal would die down just a bit as the public realized that all wars involve both progress and setbacks, and not just the latter.
There are those who can choose to wage war for “political power” and there are those who choose to wage a war for “freedom” from powers of evil.
I’ll support the latter. Our military, the moderate muslims, and the efforts put forth by this administration.
You have the “freedom” to choose which one you support. When the bill comes due, it’ll have your “liberal” name on it though.

Tell you what, @@, how about you look here and check out the “Average casualties per day” statistic. I’m assuming you can find it. The truth hurts, doesn’t it, Luckodull? Your idiot leader has no clue what he’s talking about - can’t even sell his own illogical war the right way.
U.S. military, intelligence and diplomatic experts in Bush’s own government say the violence in Iraq is primarily a struggle for power between Shiite and Sunni Muslim Iraqis seeking to dominate their society, not a crusade by radical Sunni jihadists bent on carrying the battle to the United States.
Our president keeps whining about how the timetable would make things worse. Why not get innocent troops out of Iraq and back home with their families? Why not reinforce the war against the Taliban in Afghanistan? Of course, you and your fellow parrots could never explain that. You’re just waiting for Bush to say something so that you can form “your” “opinion” of the war and what to do.

It’s kind of interesting that LuckoDull claims to be a Christian and at the same time rattles his sword and calls for more violence. Where in the Gospels does Jesus advocate violence? How can anyone in their right mind read the story of Jesus and see him endorsing the kind of conflict that LuckoDull and his mentor Bush seem to think is an answer for the troubles in the world. If anything, Jesus advocating complete non-violent protest against the demonic power of his world, the Romans. There was a radical party in Judea which advocated violence against the Romans, and they were called Zealots. Some historians think that Judas might well have been a Zealot, and turned against Jesus because Jesus would not endorse violent radicalism against the Romans.
LuckoDull, don’t use Jesus’ name while advocating the kind of nutcase extremism you do. Maybe you better go join the Zealots, or maybe a modern day reincarnation such as the Aryan Nations.

2) What does Jesus teach concerning evil?
3) Hear the word of God: 1 In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Most days now we have liberals searching the world for countries to surrender to. Syria and Iran, both targets for surrender by liberals. In the meantime, run..run in Iraq and demand retreat even as our troops fight bravely.
At home, conservatives fight against retreat, the only goal important to liberals.!! You got it, Luckovich. The great battle of Washington.

Midori’s point that you are a retard -is- compelling but in the hope that you are not, you’ve never heard me come out in support of abortion or deviant sexual behavior.
Assuming you are more than 11 years old, why would you say I support something when you have no idea -what- I support?
Do you want your coterie of morons to support you?
Or what?
As I indicated, I am nt very liberal on a lot of things.
For instance, I could easily support —after due process — the death penalty for Bush and Cheney.

Blackadder -
That’s precisly the government those morons want.
They want a government that has watchlist, secret courts, citizen monitoring and spying, and the SS (Secret Service) to arrest, and indefinitly detain anyone that speaks negatively about their Fuhrer’ (ahem!) President. Oh and all arms of government under one philosophy with no debate or discussion.
It’s a sad day when a citizen using his basic right of “Free Speech” puts you on a terrorist watchlist.
So this is how Freedom dies!

1) Prove that American soldiers killed 600,000 people. Actually let’s seperate this issue, prove that 600,000 have died. And then prove that the terrorists didn’t kill the vast majority of them. (Ever wonder why Thomas uses a casualty figure that has been proven to be a fake and then blames the deaths on America instead of Al Qaeda who actually killed them? Thomas, GFY.)
2) Was Saddam Hussein a terrorist or what do you call someone who kills 100,000 Iraqis per year?

Reading the Model Christian Andy’s posts reminds me of a story about the Conquistadors in the Carribean who were about to burn an Indian chieftain at the stake for heresy.
“Accept Christ and you will go to Heaven when you die,” the Padre of the troops pleaded with the Chief.
“Will there be Christians in Heaven?” the Chief asked.
“Yes, of course!”
“Then I do not wish to go to that place,” the Chief replied calmly.
Andy, there is no way a hatemongerer like you is going to get into Heaven, unless God gives you a pass because He made you mentally unbalanced. In which case, just think how great it will be: you will get to frolic in Paradise for all eternity with its principle population: poor black people! Not a rich Republican will be in sight! Have fallen and are falling. Past and present.
We must strive to seek God’s glory as much as possible now and to do so requires among other things that we suffer with Christ.

Even if the wounds were accidental from a grenade that got loose from Cleland (as has been debunked many time), that still makes his injuries in a warzone valid. QUESTION: Do you favor a withdrawal of all United States military from Iraq within the next six months?
ANSWER: Yes 52% No 39% Undecided 9%
No, those are not particularly shocking numbers.
We have known for a long time that Americans favor the rapid withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.
What is interesting about these numbers is who they come from.
The Strategic Vision polling group asked 600 likely Iowa caucus goers the question in a survey conducted March 30-April 1, 2007.
To be more precise, the survey queried 600 likely Republican caucus goers.
George Bush can forget about rallying the nation behind his war.
At this point, Bush can’t even rally the most engaged Republicans in the nation behind the continuation of quagmire. He can, of course, still engage the mindless losers on this forum who still support him.
Needless to say, when the president threatens Congress with a veto of an Iraq supplemental spending bill that includes soft benchmarks and a slow timeline for withdrawal, Democratic leaders would be wise to quote from the Bush lexicon: “Bring it on!”

This is just the broken record mantra that you 3 post about Cleland blowing himself up on his own grenade. If that is true then it was a wartime accident, because what sane person would ever risk dying by using a grenade to get a section 5?
Cleland got his injuries while doing his duty, and most likely the way it was reported and recorded as injury sustained during combat.

Goldie; I am a peacemaker. I have found it deep within my soul. It exists between me and my God.
He suffered for me and I acknowledge that. I am not worthy of his grace and I acknowledge that too.
You quote The Beatitudes.
The nature of the Beatitudes is spiritual and personal, not political and global. In light of this fact, biblical peacemakers have a three-fold agenda, but I’ll address only one. The one on the topic of war.
Christians attempt to lead their nations into peaceful co-existence. They must realize however, that this is not their primary calling nor will the effects be long-lasting (see Matthew 24:6). As long as the leaders of nations remain hostile toward the God who made them, they will continue to be hostile toward their global neighbors.
Our country was founded on Judeo/Christian beliefs. We place ourselves in great peril when we ignore that historical fact or when we fail to fight to protect it.

BTW, Andy-Dull— I don’t put much faith in the writings of the Apostles, in their efforts to build their empires and support their religious dogma. B.Moore,
People such as Goldie use political and social reasons to explain spiritual truth. She wouldn’t believe that winter is cold, unless she heard it on the news. If believers told her it was cold, she’d question it. You know, just as the light knows, that it takes faith in order to believe that Jesus died on the cross for humanity and that God raised him from the dead three days later. Prayerfully, those who have not accepted that will one day overcome whatever spiritual or emotional fear that is keeping them from receiving truth from above.

God created people. We choose our lifestyles based upon inate natural existences, experiences, and spiritual relationship to him. God doesn’t create murderers, but the people who commit murder are created by him. In my former form, I chastised homosexuals quite a bit, but the Light loves them as much as he loves everyone else. The point is, no matter what lifestyle or action that we have taken here on earth we can be forgiven. The unfortunate fact is that a lot of us would rather question things we don’t want to understand rather than accept love and discipline like good children should.

In many other respects, the ill effects of warming are overblown. Sea levels, for example, have been increasing since the end of the last ice age. When you look at recent centuries in perspective, ignoring short-term fluctuations, the rate of sea-level rise has been relatively uniform (less than a couple of millimeters a year). There’s even some evidence that the rate was higher in the first half of the twentieth century than in the second half. Overall, the risk of sea-level rise from global warming is less at almost any given location than that from other causes, such as tectonic motions of the earth’s surface. Is there any point in pretending that CO2 increases will be catastrophic? Or could they be modest and on balance beneficial? India has warmed during the second half of the 20th century, and agricultural output has increased greatly.

Goldie,
How in the world do you expect a human being to be able to accurately tell you how they were created? We are not creating ourselves here. The only reason people think in such a way is because they refuse to consult the one who did create them.
Sexuality is not an accurate way to categorize ourselves anyway. The reality of who we are is not based on sexual preferences. The Light was not born a heterosexual, he was born a male. I became one through the listing that I gave you earlier. I wasn’t born eating meat, but I do eat meat now. Being omnivorous is not the reality of who I am and neither is being heterosexual. I’m a male who likes women and eats meat, but I wasn’t born doing that, nor am I arrogant and stubborn enough to claim such. I didn’t create me.

Why should we care what 2 adults decide to do with their sexual lives? There are many myths, fears and phobias described in the Bible, and I don’t think it’s a good idea to continue those phobias when we learn what the truth really is. If God existed 2000 years ago, wouldn’t you agree that he probably exists today? Therefore, when it was written is irrelevant. The bible is not a history book, although there is some history in it. It is a collection of stories based on fact and metaphors combined to speak the truth about who we are and who God is. To believe or not to believe is our choice.

The true story of why Max Cleland lost to Chambliss:
Once upon a time….
Democrats make it sound as though Cleland’s opponent, the four-term Republican congressman Saxby Chambliss, ran an ad something like this: “Sen. Max Cleland,” — cue the ominous music — “is he a patriot? Georgia wants to know.”//Of course, nothing remotely like this ran. The case for foul play rests on a tough anti-Cleland ad that Chambliss broadcast featuring Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. The ad didn’t morph Cleland into either of these figures or say that he supported them. It noted at its beginning that the United States faced threats to its security as the screen was briefly divided into four squares, with bin Laden and Saddam in two of them and the other two filled with images of the American military.//It went on to explain that Cleland had voted 11 times against a homeland-security bill that would have given President Bush the freedom from union strictures that he wanted in order to set up the new department. The bill was co-sponsored by his Georgia colleague Sen. Zell Miller, a fellow Democrat. Bush discussed details of the bill personally with Cleland, and Chambliss wrote him a letter prior to running his ad urging him to support the Bush version. Cleland still opposed it, setting himself up for the charge that he was voting with liberals and the public-employees unions against Bush and Georgia common sense.
The End.

With yesterday being Easter I was thinking about some questions that were never really answered during my childhood when I was a Christian, so I figured I’d come to the experts with them. Since Jesus’ physical body rose from the dead, what ended up happening to it? Did it float up through the atmosphere into space and will the Hubble space telescope capture pictures of Jesus floating around Jupiter in his robe sometime in the future? And if that happened, then wouldn’t he have had some problems going through the atmosphere? Or did his body die again in order to go to heaven? Or is he still walking around here on earth in the form of a hippy or say, Mitt Romney? So what exactly did happen to his physical body since physical things aren’t part of the spiritual world? Where did it go? I’m sure one of you guys has a perfectly rational answer as usual.

It does figure that a clever little worldly pervert like you could get stuck on the minutiae and use it as a reason to ridicule something you are too stupid to understand.
The worldview of modern liberalism is dependent upon a central truth- that God is either nonexistent or irrelevant. His mere existence is a condemnation of their thinking, and His involvement in mankind’s affairs guarantees their conviction in the court of absolute morality. We are called to obey the voice of His Holy Spirit, believe in Him, and be given a new life. As we do - it will impact how we think, the actions we commit to, and the behaviors we engage in. These changes threaten the belief system of liberals who are steadfastly committed to the muck and the mire they now live in. Sin and selfishness often cause blindness.

Buy Danish,
We ought to get an investigation into why the rest of outlining rushncap’s disdain for the Bill of Rights didn’t post.
I’m sure it’s alright for Democrats to run campaigns out of their Federal office space as long as they throw out at least five baseless charges against a Republican each day. Or maybe in the immortal words of the Goreacle, there’s no controlling legal authority when it comes to that side of the aisle.

Granny,
If I have a question about physics, I’ll direct it to rushncap. If he has a question about psychology or literature, he can direct it towards me. As for you, I certainly wouldn’t ask you for advice on employment, ethics, or basic logic, since it is so evident that you are devoid of knowledge or experience in any of those areas.
Andy,
Why is it that each and every contradiction or obviously illogical supposition in the bible is “minutiae”? I have to expect that something, anything stated in it would have some sort of validity. You didn’t answer my question because you couldn’t. The resurrection is such a blatantly stupid scenario that it cannot logically be defended, as is the case with the majority of the bible. The only evidence you can show us for anything is the evidence that you are a complete and utter fool.

CNN reported that McCain’s March to the Sea(food) in that Baghdad market proves the surge is a success. Forget that Sherman had less troops or firepower accompanying him in his own March to the Sea.

There were hundreds of Messiah’s crucified before Christ. Every few years some yahoo stood up and said, “I am the Messiah and I will lead the Jews to freedom from the Romans”.
Well, the Romans would pretend to give him a fair trial, pay a few locals to yell, “Crucify Him” when they displayed him before the crowd, and pretend to offer to let him go, and march him through the center of town and string him up for all to see. This went on for hundreds of years, they figure 100 million rebels were crucified just like that. You didn’t have to claim to be the christ or the king of the jews, you just had to cause a ruckus.
However, after Christ, nobody ever claimed to be the messiah again, instead, anyone who wanted revolution would yell, “I am Spartacus”, (and then he’d automatically get strung up).
This is the gospel according to Retardo Montelbaum.

One Punk,
If you were the expert on psychology that you are claiming to be you would have had yourself committed to an asylum a long time ago.
If you had any friends, they would have called the ambulance for you.

Monkey Man: Are we talking about “evolution” or the Bible?
That was just sarcasm, my own special way of ridiculing you modern day hysteritics, I know that the Bible has irrefutable truth behind it whereas the “theory of evolution” is totally baseless.
Why are we here, what is the purpose behind this life?
The mere thought of that question is good enough for me.
You, on the other hand, can wander in your self imposed intellectual desert.
Have fun.

Why do you bother trying to explain spiritual matters to people who really don’t care but just enjoy harassing people who do?

Paul:
I’m a little confused by your post to Goldie.
(((Why do you bother trying to explain spiritual matters to people who really don’t care but just enjoy harassing people who do?)))
I’ve just finished reading the responses to Goldie, and they all seemed to be from people who “DO” care.
If there was harassment, it was preceded by caring advice. Scriptures tell us that, as Christians, we will suffer ridicule, and to be strong in our faith. Goldie held up just fine from what I could see.
Conservatives suffer ridicule for our faith daily on this blog.
Personally I saw no serious harassment from the people Goldie addressed. Different intepretations of scriptures maybe.
All in all, I thought it was a pretty good read.
No harm, no foul.
