Back at the drawing board

happy 2007 everybody.

i’m back at my drawing board. there’s been a lot of news during the holidays. tomorrow’s cartoon is on the hanging of saddam, a truly evil man. even so, the administration managed to botch the execution, perhaps further fueling the insurgency. is there anyone out there who still thinks w and company are doing a good job? too bad we can’t fire bush like the falcons fired mora. mike

I’m still trying to figure out who is the worst of the three evils; George W, Michael Vick or Chan Gaily!

Exactly, how did W screw up the hanging? You are the one that should be fired!

Huh. Last I checked, he was hung until he was dead. How is that a botched execution? Perhaps if you put your attention to scribbling rather than trying to blame everything wrong in the world on our President, more people would read your little comic strips.

Saddam deserved to die, there is no doubt. But the administration tried their damndest to equate his hanging with validation on the Iraq disaster.

Mike, I’ll be leaving the area next week. After 29+ years of faithfully reading the AJC and even the even crappier Atlanta Journal, I can honestly say you are the only person consistently worth reading for the last ten years, at least. Your cartoons are priceless, worth giving my money to the worthless Cox sisters for.

Now my paper funds will be put to better use, and thanks to the internet I’ll still be able to check you out every day.

Good luck to you in 2007, keep casting your pearls before the redneck swine.

Happy New Year Mike!

They tried to intervene in Saddams rush to execute but the monster they created are all about revenge.

Make no mistake, they are not civilized like us and these Shiites that the wingnuts support blow up our troops.

This whole fiasco is insane and so is w.

Iraq has a legally elected government. They take many actions (releasing captured insurgents, cancelling military operations, etc.) at odds with what can be described as not supportive of American interests. Regarding the Hussein conviction - while America can attempt to influence, I believe you’re overstating America’s power to dictate to the Iraqi government.

Lo there, fellow Murcuns! If you weren’t embarrassed enough by thee pitiful phrase “Shock And Awe,” just wait for “Surge And Accelerate.” Somehow we manage to look more ridiculous each passing week. But have no fear - Mocracy and Freedom are on thee march everwhere. We’re winning. Mishun complished. God bless Murcuh!

Hmmm… seems convenient that he was executed before he could be tried for his bigger crime. Namely, gassing the Kurds. Oh right… if they did that then Rummy would have to testify about the US selling him the gas in the first place.

My dream: Bush continues to pursue his war. The people finally have enough, they march to the white house and put him in fetters. He is sent to Baghdad for trial and he is given the Saddam treatment. What a wonderful dream!

And Dubya deserves nothing less.

Saddam is dead….one life….was it truly worth the 3000 plus Americans that have died because of this war?…thanks for great insights, Mike.

“Surge.” “Accelerate.” “Security.” “Sacrifice.” Fresh new terms about to be vomited upon the huddled masses by the little Bush Fuhrer. And the masses will quickly absorb it and believe and Chimp’s poll numbers will climb and….

Whenever I read a comment by a liberal asking “Does anyone support GWB anymore?”, its clear to me that they haven’t stepped outside of their little liberal world. Despite daily coverage of everysingledeath in Iraq, a lot of us have managed to keep 3,000 deaths, over 3 years, in a WAR, in perspective. If we decide as a nation that we cannot go to war if it means losing an average of 3 soldiers a day, then we truly are the biggest losers on the earth.
