Let’s see here.

The democrats won the mid term elections on the issue of getting us out of Iraq.

In effect, Bush was able to sign the whole entire war, outcome and all, over to the liberals.

The libs, knowing full well that they didn’t mean ANY of their pre election anti war nonsense, that it was all a trick to make their base idiots happy, are now in their very own quagmire.

If they cut and run, which is what they promised to do, they will have become the biggest pansies in the recorded history of the world, eclipsing even Neville Chamberlin. They will be blamed with the total destruction of the Middle East, the loss of Russia and Isreal.

So here we are, children, you wanted the tough questions, you got them.

Should we attack Iran?

Bush is in over HIS head?????

Hahahahaha.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Luckodull - Please allow me to make one small correction in your 8:00 a.m. post. You stated that the Dems would have become the greatest pansies in recorded history of the world.

I believe you are wrong in this statement. Dems are already the biggest pansies in the world.

Small mistake, I know it happens to everyone.

ooooooo, so it was all part of the master plan. Bush was to get in over his head and then pass off his mess to the democrats to make them look incompetent? I guess then they can be voted back into power and continue their world tour.

Bottom line is, bushy-tail caused all of this. So your “total destruction of the Middle East, [and] the loss of Russia and Israel” will be all his fault.

Thanks for ruining the world Bush and company.

Funny toon. Nice tie in with the Donald, his forgiveness of Conner, but Georgie instead.

Today’s toon does not suck, but because it is yet another presidential bashing, I am offering up the following bashing of another president that is pretty funny too. Hopefully, it meets Midori’s approval, as well as the previous presidential bashing I submitted two days ago. Non-partisan, of course.

Well, well, well! Now the Bushbots are finally admitting that Iraq is a quagmire and the biggest mistake ever made by any administration.

Now the geniuses are falling back on their “master plan” to blame Democrats for the Chimperor’s misdeeds by alienating the American public, and engineering their own midterm election slaughter.

Wingnut Keyboard Kommandos have captured the Hillarycoptersand now they are going to turn their conservative mind control ray on the entire populace and hornswoggle them into believing the Democrats started the Iraq debacle and that the Republican party will now rise from the ashes like a mythical Phoenix.

With strategic thinking like that, is there any wonder that the American public has tossed these fruitcakes onto the rubbish heap of history?

Luckodull - as much as we would like a new commander in chief, we are stuck with the one we have for another two years (I know, it is depressing).

Therefore, the decision to ‘cut and run’ will still be up to the Shrub and his incompetent cabal.

ALL you are seeing now is the stagecrafting about a ‘surge’ that will quickly produce some trumped up event that will be used to ‘declare victory.’

The Shrub will then, essentially, execute the Baker Commission recommendations.

It is, in fact, all about ‘managing the message,’ the SPIN if you please…

AND, the beauty of this is that ONLY a couple hundred additional brave service men and women will have to die in order for this ‘message’ to be managed in a way that provides some face-saving for this incompetent administration.

LAZARO CARDENAS, Mexico - Soldiers trying to seize control of one Mexico’s top drug-producing regions found the countryside teeming with a new hybrid marijuana plant that can be cultivated year-round and cannot be killed with pesticides.

“These plants have been genetically improved,” he told a handful of journalists allowed to accompany soldiers on a daylong raid of some 70 marijuana fields. “Before we could cut the plant and destroy it, but this plant will come back to life unless it’s taken out by the roots.”

The new plants, known as “Colombians,” mature in about two months and can be planted at any time of year, meaning authorities will no longer be able to time raids to coincide with twice-yearly harvests.

The hybrid first appeared in Mexico two years ago but has become the plant of choice for drug traffickers Michoacan, a remote mountainous region that lends to itself to drug production.

Yields are so high that traffickers can now produce as much marijuana on a plot the size of a football field as they used to harvest in 10 to 12 acres. That makes for smaller, harder-to-detect fields.

Isn’t it about time that we extricated ourselves from this drug war quagmire, too? If we continue to make drugs more valuable through interdiction, we will continue to strengthen the narco-trafficers, force them to improve their product, and continue to promote lawlessness. Put it in the pharmacy and sell it through prescription; addicts need treatment, not imprisonment. The only way to stop the drug menace is to take the profit out of it!

Greetings Everyone,

And I will say this quite clearly!

“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!” I hope your holidays go very well… Peace on Earth and goodwill towards all men.

(Don’t ever expect me to bow down to political correctness, dogma, and other inane proper traditions garbage! I express my feelings period!)

Now on to world events;

Interestingly enough, our commander in chief now decides to increase our troops in Iraq. So I guess now the fanatics of Islam will have a target rich environment to shoot at during their civil war.

But at the same time this troop buildup is suppose to be a warning to nearby Iran? You have got to be kidding me!

What kind of warning?

Fear us Iran, because we failed in Iraq and Afghanistan? Sure! That should work. The psycopath leader in Iran will undoubtably be cowering at our international might in fear. I’m sure he will comply with dismantling his nuclear toys.

Meanwhile larger threats loom as we weaken our military might even more in this dust-bowl wasteland called Iraq.

How much more of our country’s money and military resources are we going to expend in this wasted venture for oil control?

And what will we do when we later have to fight real war in a country like North Korea, or maybe worse.

And how strong will our military be then, when we have used much of our high tech ammo against “Camel Jockeys” that can barely shoot back at us.

And how can we restore those munitions when we are in debt to our eyeballs in the world markets?

Just how much did it cost the taxpayers every time we fired a Cruise missile?

Well the answer is 1.5 million for the missile alone and that does not count the other expenses associated with the launching of it.

So I say this now:

Bush! Reduce our troops in Iraq and defend OUR country NOT THEIRS! We need America strong and prepared for future wars. Get our troops home, re-equiped, rested, and prepared. The world is less safe because of your failed foreign policy, so we better get ready at home now.

A major storm is brewing and we are at the very center of it!

December 20, 2006 02:11 PM | Link to this

II will never profess to be a knowledgeable professor of world history. However, from the little that I’ve learned and heard about in this lifetime, it seems to me that the king, ruler or president would go to war with his troops. He either courageously stood at the front, charging forward, leading his troops into battle. In the middle, strategically watching what happens when the infantry engages the enemy or in the back when it was time to pull out the big guns and he was the one going after the throat of the enemy’s leader, sword/gun/spear/rock/sword raised. The point is, he (or she in rare instances) was there, on the battlefield. The war usually ended when the leader fell in battle. These high tech wars, you can have it! That’s why they go on and on without a purpose. Iran, Iraq, Palestine, fought before we got there, fought one another while we are there and will fight one another when we’ve gone. So I ask, what exactly is the point of this war? Bush will be in some cushy chair as pictured in today’s awesome photo, taking vacation and enjoying the holiday season while others are losing their lives on an hourly basis.

Why that is not frightening to (some) Rep’s and some Dem’s is beyond by comprehension. So what!! I’m a bleeding heart liberal… least that shows I actually have a heart!! I could actually get behind a war and a president that took up arms with his men to fight for what he (obviously) believes is right & just. Blindly yes, but knowing he was ready to put his fist up and not send me to do his dirty work…well that’s my rant and rave. I love the Bush Bashing cartoon’s ML keepin’ comin’ cause I’m so over him I can’t stand it! Now he wants to increase more ground forces?? I nominate him to go first! Get on his horse, make sharp his sword, gather his inferior gear, stop hiding behind his big mouth, and go to war…only then can the sideline peanut gallery call anyone Dem or Rep a pansy!… the audacity… the got darn nerve!

Dusty?

Running from terrorism?

What (so called liberal) here is running from terrorism? And tell me, just how do you win a war against terrorism? Where is the target to do battle with? How can you defeat terrorism with military might?

That is the one question that has never been answered here, (probably because it cannot be answered in the real world of war and combat strategy!)

I think at this point we need to leave Iraq not because of the (catchprase) “so called” war on terrorism, but more so we need to leave Iraq before our troops get caught in the crossfire of the impending civil war there. I frankly don’t want our troops playing Clay Pidgeons in a 3 way civil war between Sunni’s Shiites, and Kurds. Especially if this expands due to other nearby countries adding their own spin on things.

I do support our troops, and being in support of our troops means I do not want them to die needlessly and foolishly here, when a tactical retreat will keep them alive and strong for future battles.

Or do you remember Mc’Arthurs famous quote about making the enemy die for his country instead?

Just like our president

Just like the pathetic wingnuts - can’t hold their own in an argument, can’t come up with coherent, viable points, so they are reduced to namejacking.

Isn’t that soooooooo pre-9/11?

Sad. Really, really sad. That’s all they have.

Sorta like, “I know I’m stoopid, but so are you”.

Swiftvoter,

You are not too “swift”.

I assume that you are an American. But you are saying in effect that the more children die in Iraq the stronger American resolve becomes to stay the course. Are you saying that we LIKE to kill children? That troops are children?

Our troops are not children and the people fighting us are not either.

With patriots like you, who needs enemies.

From Dusty: “Nothing you say will convince me to be anti-American, anti-president…”

Make up your mind. At this point, anyone who’s pro-Bush is anti-American. Which do you support?

rushncap,

You are all wrong again. But let’s see. You have a few years of study and a partime job and you want to tell the adults how to work and contribute.

That’s a good one, rushie. But keep on trying, little one. You may get a degree and a real job one of these days. Then you will learn what “contribute” really means.

Although I cannot say I am a fervent supporter of our current president, don’t you think that attacking him about five out of every six days for the last six years is getting a bit old? With all of the happenings in the world and in politics (both liberal and republican), it occurs to me that there are obvious daily fresh targets withpout going to the old George W. Bush well so often. Face it, that well has indeed run dry. It just isn’t funny anymore. Do yourself a favor and find some fresh material. I believe the readership would appreciate it. Aside from the occasional death of a famous person in which you send them to the pearly gates, there really hasn’t been a lot to smile about with your comics in a long time. And if you feel the welcome pats on the back from the usual politically affiliated people, perhaps it would benefit you to know that there are many people who constitute the AJC readership who would be entertained by your talents much more if you would show some range rather than thumping the president again and again and again. It really ceased being funny long ago.

Mike, when a Democrat sends thousands of our young men and women to die in an unnecessary war, lies about it continuously for 4 years, and then acts like he’s the savior of the universe, I’m sure ML will find it in his heart to grant you your wish and criticize a Democrat.

Until then just be happy Shrub is not in jail.

This is from ABC News:

“Former American fugitive Marc Rich was a middleman for several of Iraq’s suspect oil deals in February 2001, just one month after his pardon from President Clinton, according to oil industry shipping records obtained by ABC News. And a U.S. criminal investigation is looking into whether Rich, as well as several other prominent oil traders, made illegal payments to Iraq in order to obtain the lucrative oil contracts.”

Selling oil again, huh.
