This is sooooo true and I would pay to help build the memorial. How about right outside the future Dubya Presidential Library.
What is sad is that every time Dubya spouts off with a new marketing slogan, the gullible Bushbots jump up and start cheering right away. They jump and cheer even if they don’t know what the slogan means.
Yea! Compassionate Conservative Yea! What does that mean? They don’t know but it sounded like something good and Dubya said it so it must be good. Ha Ha It didn’t actually mean anything besides vote for me. Sucker!
Maybe we can just call it the sucker memorial for all the chumps that bought whatever marketing slogan Dubya dreams up.

Well, isn’t this just so exciting?
Tell us Mikey, did all the thought you put into this masterpiece leave you exhausted?
Did you spend days, or maybe weeks, working tirelessly around the clock to chart this cutting edge direction, to turn your career on this fresh new path?
Such brilliance, such thought provoking nuance, why, you’re a pioneer, people will show this cartoon to their grandchildren.
I’ll bet they’ve already started gathering around the water coolers at work to discuss this stunning accomplishment.
Sarc/ off.
It’s never a good sign when you open the conversation with George hacking into the blog so that he can harp like a seal.
But it is so typical.

Can you believe a President that has spewed this nonsense STILL has 32% of the people in this country thinking he is doing a good job?!?!?!?
I mean, it does compare to Nixon’s job approval and is very recently contrasted by the 65% job approval that Clinton enjoyed at this point in his tenure as President, but, for crying out loud, the man is a FAILURE by almost any measure ever applied to a Presidency.

Good one Lucko, give ‘em hell. Sloganeering is a prime example of the “dumbing down” of America. If a thought can’t be presented in a 10 second sound-bite, the American public no longer has the attention span to engage in its’ debate.
GWB is the most slogan dependent politician to have ever served in public office. Why should we be surprised that an “attention-deficient” public at large would elect an “attention-deficient” President?

I’m going to predict Bush’s next slogan to be delivered in his next speech: “Let’s finish the job won”!!
LETS FINISH THE JOB WON!!! everybody yell it out your window….
I predict it will be some variation of “finish the job”.
Cartoon Idea: Show ears. Only ears in a cartoon to rep w. like doonsbury’s feather for Dan Quale. I guess we blew our chance for Dan Quale as President. He doesn’t look so bad now. Neither does Mondale, or Dole, or Hoover. or McKinney.
We are so screwed, that I cant even bear to think about it anymore.

Let me give you a perfect analogy: Luckovich is the football team riding a bus to the big game. Andy and his cadre of dittoheadwounds are the short bus riders who jeer the football team as it passes by.
Why do they feel they’ve earned the right to jeer the football team as equals? Because they’re all have helmets.
That’s the basis of the common ground the GOP trolls on this blog use to criticize Luckovich.

Great toon Mike.
Lets see, we have Senators and Reps engaging in “freelance diplomacy”.
w has screwed up a three decade policy by selling nuclear technology to India. Then he tells other countries they can’t have nukes. It will start a new nuclear arms race.
The Generals and Powell say more troops in Iraq will not work.
w, McCain, Lieberman and Reid back a “surge” of troops.

Wow, in someone’s mind, murder rape and theft are equivelent to Buying a beer on Sunday, gay folks getting married and abortion.
Situational ethics be damned I guess, the odd thing is that it is normally the people howling for smaller govt that want to impose new laws for others to abide by.
I guess I am a bit of a libertarian, if there is no victim, than it is not a crime. No one is hurt by gay marriage, or buying a beer on Sunday. Abortion is a different issue of course, but it is still a part of the mother

9-11 was Bush treason: See for yourself…
http://www.youtube.com/viewplaylist?p=2AFEEBF0C352AA2C is a good start, plus, for absolute moral certainty by a Professor of Logic: “The New Pearl Harbor.”
Why allow stupid, corrupt, and evil people to mess up America?
Bush’s grandfather was Hitler’s banker. His father “can’t recall” his whereabouts upon hearing of JFK’s assassination, six weeks after NSAM 263 pulled us out of Rome’s Vietnam…and the Vatican banker’s Fed, JFK removed from its unconstitutional control of the U.S.’s money supply (Exec. Order 11,100), was immediately put back in charge.
Who really wants a draft-dodging closet-queen (Jeff Gannon), cheated into the White House, to be exempt from the punishment for treason he so richly deserves? Will Roman Catholic, Mafia-connected, pschotropic druggie Nancy D’Allesandro Pelosi get the job done?
Afghanistan’s heroin trade is booming under Bush and he wanted to give eight of our ports to Dubai: the largest transhipment point for Afghan heroin in the world?
Wake Up.
Bushes have been Rockefeller-lieutenants since Standard Oil was built on “murder and arson” in 1870’s Cleveland. Rockefeller is the Vatican’s correspondent bank and Rome wants us to be flooded with Roman Catholic illegals.
Gee…wonder why things are so screwed-up?

In the run up to the Democratic takeover of Congress, Rep. Nancy Pelosi crisscrossed the country promising to make passing ethics reform her first order of business as speaker. But now, even before she takes the reins in January, she is being confronted with a series of tough ethics decisions that will determine whether her party will succeed at changing the culture of Capitol Hill. There’s also yet to be resolved the issue of West Virginia Democrat Rep. Alan Mollohan. He was forced to step down this year as ranking Democrat on the House Ethics Committee and is under active FBI investigation over allegations he may have illegally enhanced his income by steering $250 million in federal earmarks to five nonprofit organizations staffed by his former aides and business partner. With the elections safely over, Mr. Mollohan is now inline to become chairman of the powerful Appropriations subcommittee that oversees the FBI’s budget. A Mollohan advisor says he hasn’t received any pressure from Democratic leaders such as Ms. Pelosi not to take the chairmanship, and says the congressman will actively defend himself if anyone seeks to block him.

The FBI said law enforcement agencies reported that robberies soared by a startling 9.7 percent, followed by an increase in murders of 1.4 percent and aggravated assaults of 1.2 percent.
Last year, the number of violent crimes increased by 2.5 percent, the largest percentage gain in 15 years. The increase came after years of declines.

The Nation — In March 2005, a nuclear warhead almost exploded in Texas. The near miss accident occurred in Amarillo, when workers at the Pantex nuclear weapons plant bungled the dismantling of a W-56 warhead, a weapon 100 times stronger than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima during World War II.
Details of the averted catastrophe have been kept under wraps until last month, when the Department of Energy (DOE) fined the company that operates the plant, BWX Technologies, $110,000 for safety violations. (couldn’t let the voters know the truth before midterms could they)
In a letter obtained by the Project on Government Oversight (POGO), technicians at the plant blamed the accident on severe working conditions, including mandatory 72 to 84 hour work weeks. One nuclear scientist told POGO that he “would not work on his car engine if he were fatigued from a 72-hour work week, and sure as hell would not work on a nuclear weapon.”
In 2007, production goals at the plant will increase by 50 percent, which POGO calls a “recipe for disaster.” Clearly it’s time for the DOE to step in and show that the government is serious about nuclear security, both abroad and at home.
Don’t you feel ever so much safer knowing that the inept Republicans have THIS sort of oversight and control over our nuclear weapons arsenal?

Just 11% of American voters give the outgoing Congress good or excellent marks. That’s down from 13% two weeks ago and 15% on Election Day.
The latest Rasmussen Reports tracking survey finds that 38% say Congress has done a “fair” job while 47% give it a poor rating.
Voter dissatisfaction with Congress comes through loud and clear in this survey. Just 14% say that Congress has passed legislation that improved the quality of American life, down from 17% on Election Day. Sixty-one percent (61%) say Congress hasn’t done a thing to improve the lives of most Americans.
The American public becomes more and more aware of the Republican party’s inability to govern. No matter how hard they try, Republicans just ‘can’t Fool ALL of the People ALL of the Time’ anymore!

Yes, I did get a kick out of it; your ideas are even too silly for the mindless fools in your own party. You may have to explain how “one voice” is any more childish than rw-(the original). The majority part of the name had more weight when Democrats were out of power and the majority of Americans opposed bush. Now that we’re in power I don’t need it any more. I’ve also been rereading Thoreau’s Resistance to Civil Government and agreed with him that while the majority is always strongest, it’s not always right. An example of this is how the majority of Americans believe in your fictitious god. Just because they believe it will never make it the truth. Merry Christmas.

Just when I thought it couldn’t possibly get any worse, it did.
I’ll have to remember not to set my sights so high in the future.
Onto this vast empty, pointless blog we have been blessed with a new ruler, a self appointed empress, the Supreme Scold, may I present to you Queen Midori, the One who shall lead us from sanity and into the shadowy depths of her kingdom, madness.
Sadly, it got even more cheesy then that.
Yep, the bottom was scraped by the blog’s wannabe Dan Rather, the flaming idiot taking the ordinary news clips and “faking the memo” so that the blame fell on Republicans. Is it even possible that there can be two people stupid enough to believe that trick would work, what are the odds? And how did we get to be so lucky by having the second one plant itself firmly up Mike Luckovich’s a$$?
(P.S. to Danny Boy: Your fever swamp narratives are a sure give away that you are a slobbering partisan hack, a democrat party harpie. You got some serious fine tuning to do.)
And you should try doing a little research. If you don’t want higher crime rates maybe we should deport all illegal immigrants, increase surveillance of high crime areas, toughen sentencing laws and stop releasing criminals from jail.
Is this what you’re looking for, moron, or have you even thought it through that far?
Perhaps I complain to much, what more should I expect from a political party full of dolts and retards but for them to be wallowing in ignorance?
They do seem happy.

Why did the hijackers not have Iraqi papers to draw a direct link to justify invading Iraq? Did they miss that detail? (You know I’m too stupid to figure that out, please help me.)

I saw the FDR memorial in Washington. It takes up about six acres along the Potomac with beautiful stone walls, open to the sky, and vegetation and waterfalls. The walls are carved with various of FDR’s inspirational thoughts. By analogy, the future GW Bush memorial should be located next to a sewer, should be about the size of a parking space, and should contain only a coffin.
