Bill Clinton’s “response” to terrorism:
As Clinton spoke, his top political strategist, Dick Morris, was hard at work conducting polls to gauge the public’s reaction to the bombing. “Whenever there was a crisis, I ordered an immediate poll,” Morris recalls. “I was concerned about how Clinton looked in the face of [the attack] and whether people blamed him.” The bombing happened in the midst of the president’s re-election campaign, and even though Clinton enjoyed a substantial lead over Republican Bob Dole, Morris worried that public dissatisfaction with Clinton on the terrorism issue might benefit Dole.-NationalReview

The self-infatuated idea that nobody could disagree with you for honest and informed reasons is far more dangerous than any influence that donors’ money may exercise. Far more is involved here than cheap-shot journalism. It is the audience for such journalism that is the real concern. Our whole educational system, from the elementary schools to the universities, is increasingly turning out people who have never heard enough conflicting arguments to develop the skills and discipline required to produce a coherent analysis, based on logic and evidence.-TownHall

Once again the Democratic leadership is giddy about yet another smoking gun “proving” what a liar President Bush is. This time, the Senate Intelligence Committee has issued two “Phase II” reports concerning pre-war intelligence on Iraq that supposedly cast doubt on the administration’s claim there was a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda. Committee Chairman Pat Roberts said, “I have some real concern with the final version of this report. Very simply, the conclusions are misleading and are not supported by the facts.” Roberts added, “Overall, I am disappointed that some of my colleagues have twisted the facts to reach conclusions that support other agendas.”-TownHall

As I write the first few lines of this post Omar directs me to an AFP story about the media and 9/11 which left me in shock; the nonsense spread from Arabs to Americans themselves that some in the American MSM are firing their criticism arrows at the victim, turning logic upside down in an offensive and insulting manner explaining that by saying they are searching for solutions to the problem or to avoid another 9/11. many go as far as criticizing and condemning the American administration that had only been in office for six months when America cam under the attack that’d been in planning for years which means the terrorists had no clue what that administration’s policy would be like and didn’t even know who was going to be in office when they started planning the attack.-OpinionJournal

As several people observe throughout the book, jihadists bear a striking resemblance to American student revolutionaries of the 1960s — overprivileged children who sense they have been coddled and feel compelled to prove their manhood by embarking on apocalyptic ventures to remake the world. With Islam, all this is confounded by a polygamous society where fathers are often distant from their sons and where men and women barely encounter each other as young adults. As Wright observes of Mohammed Atta, the vanguard of the suicide brigade: Physically, there was a feminine quality to his bearing: He was “elegant” and “delicate,” so that his sexual orientation — however unexpressed — was difficult to read… Atta constantly demonstrated an aversion to women, who in his mind were like Jews in their powerfulness and corruption. [His] will states: “No pregnant woman or disbelievers should walk in my funeral or ever visit my grave. No woman should ask forgiveness of me. Those who will wash my body should wear gloves so that they do not touch my genitals.”-AmericanSpectator

Another pinko false alarm, in service to the enemies of the United States:
But the committee also noted that before the war in Iraq began, the CIA reported learning from credible sources of “at least eight direct meetings between senior Iraqi representatives and top al-Qaida operatives.” In 2004, the Iraq Survey Group — the group that reported that there were no WMD in Iraq — found a document that showed, in 1992, Iraqi intelligence wanted to establish ties with bin Laden.-RealClearPolitics

What did I tell you, Bin Laden makes pinkos happy:
NEW YORK — I hear bin Laden laughing. I heard him all day on Sunday and Monday as the mass murder of Sept. 11, 2001, was memorialized at the Pentagon and in that field in Pennsylvania and, especially, here where the most people died and where countless cameras recorded it all for posterity and an abiding, everlasting, anger. He laughs whenever George Bush says, as he has over and over, that America is “winning this war on terror.” Osama bin Laden knows better. He has already won.-RealClearPolitics
Got himself a nice cave to live in, doesn’t dare show his face in the world, 75% of his army are killed, America is in the midst of one of the largest economic expansions in history, no terrorist attacks in 5 years, yep, he “won.”

President wants Senate to hurry with new anti-terrorism laws July 30, 1996 Web posted at: 8:40 p.m. EDT WASHINGTON (CNN) — President Clinton urged Congress Tuesday to act swiftly in developing anti-terrorism legislation before its August recess. (1.6 MB AIFF or WAV sound)
“We need to keep this country together right now. We need to focus on this terrorism issue,” Clinton said during a White House news conference.
But while the president pushed for quick legislation, Republican lawmakers hardened their stance against some of the proposed anti-terrorism measures.
Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, R-Mississippi, doubted that the Senate would rush to action before they recess this weekend. The Senate needs to study all the options, he said, and trying to get it done in the next three days would be tough.
One key GOP senator was more critical, calling a proposed study of chemical markers in explosives “a phony issue.”

GOP Congress blocked Clinton push for anti-terror legislation by John in DC - 9/04/2006 11:10:00 AM
CNN, July 30, 1996 Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, emerged from the meeting and said, “These are very controversial provisions that the [Clinton] White House wants. Some they’re not going to get.” ….[Hatch] also said he had some problems with the president’s proposals to expand wiretapping. So Bill Clinton, rather than just breaking the law as Bush did (then again, perhaps this is why Bush broke the law - he knew from history that the Republicans controlling the congress would oppose his efforts to expand wiretapping), decided to go to the Republican congress in 1996 and ask them for increased authority to do more eavesdropping in order to stop the terrorists - stop September 11. Senior Republican Senator Orrin Hatch, one of the GOP’s top picks for the Supreme Court and a GOP committee chair, objected.
The Republicans stopped President Clinton from getting all the tools he needed to stop the next September 11 - well, no, actually they opposed giving President Clinton all the tools he needed to stop the actual September 11. Could September 11 have been stopped if the GOP had given President Clinton the tools he requested to stop Osama and Mohammad Atta from killing 3,000 people in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington?
Maybe we need to ask the Republicans up for re-election why they wanted to appease the terrorists? President Clinton urged Congress Tuesday to act swiftly in developing anti-terrorism legislation before its August recess.
“We need to keep this country together right now. We need to focus on this terrorism issue,” Clinton said during a White House news conference.
But while the president pushed for quick legislation, Republican lawmakers hardened their stance against some of the proposed anti-terrorism measures. There’s even an audio clip of President Clinton practically begging the Republicans to give him the tools he needed to stop Osama and the terrorists. Trent Lott said no. Orrin Hatch said no. Do these men really deserve to run the Congress during a time of war?

On 26 February 1993, a car loaded with 1,200 pounds of explosives blew up in a parking garage under the World Trade Center, killing six people and injuring about a thousand others. The blast did not, as its planners intended, bring down the towers — that was finally accomplished by flying two hijacked airliners into the twin towers on the morning of 11 September 2001. Four followers of the Egyptian cleric Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman were captured, convicted of the World Trade Center bombing in March 1994, and sentenced to 240 years in prison each. The purported mastermind of the plot, Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, was captured in 1995, convicted of the bombing in November 1997, and also sentenced to 240 years in prison. One additional suspect fled the U.S. and is believed to be living in Baghdad.

Kudos to ABC for not bending to the Clinton lawyers and Commissars and running with the “Path to 9/11” with only 1 minute removed from the original.
This is a really stupid cartoon. For something to be funny there has to be a hint of reality. No one ever said Clinton was like Bin Laden, just that he incapable of taking action to stop him.
Did Monica play a role? Perhaps, but that does not change the fact that he was congentitally incapable of taking any meaningful steps to confront the enemy - like the rest of the Democrat Party with a few minor and spurned exceptions. Was Monica at that golf game he could not be torn away from?
All Clinton can do is making a sweeping statement that the movie is a lie - the old commie rushncap technique. Why not try to argue his case on specific points? Because he can’t.
What was Sandy Berger putting in his underwear and socks? Not love letters from Monica.

Bush Policies Have Not Made Us Safer
It’s disheartening to read letter writers cite the mantra “we haven’t been hit since 9/11” as a reason they feel secure (“NO More Attacks: That’s the Key Point,” Sept. 11) President Bill Clinton did almost nothing when the terrorists hit the World Trade Center in 1993, yet we weren’t attacked again domestically until 2001. Are we to believe that Clinton doing nothin made us safer because we weren’t attacked until eight years later?
President Bush’s policies have not made the United States safer. They have merely diverted attention and money from domestic security issues. While our nation is busy killing Iraq civilians, our ports are not secure and our borders remain open.- Charles Huff, Athens, AJC, 9/12/06

In August 1998, President Clinton ordered missile strikes against targets in Afghanistan in an effort to hit Osama bin Laden, who had been linked to the embassy bombings in Africa (and was later connected to the attack on the USS Cole). The missiles reportedly missed bin Laden by a few hours, and Clinton was widely criticized by many who claimed he had ordered the strikes primarily to draw attention away from the Monica Lewinsky scandal. As John F. Harris wrote in The Washington Post:
In August 1998, when [Clinton] ordered missile strikes in an effort to kill Osama bin Laden, there was widespread speculation — from such people as Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) — that he was acting precipitously to draw attention away from the Monica S. Lewinsky scandal, then at full boil. Some said he was mistaken for personalizing the terrorism struggle so much around bin Laden. And when he ordered the closing of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House after domestic terrorism in Oklahoma City, some Republicans accused him of hysteria. … the federal budget on anti-terror activities tripled during Clinton’s watch, to about $6.7 billion. After the effort to kill bin Laden with missiles in August 1998 failed — he had apparently left a training camp in Afghanistan a few hours earlier — recent news reports have detailed numerous other instances, as late as December 2000, when Clinton was on the verge of unleashing the military again. In each case, the White House chose not to act because of uncertainty that intelligence was good enough to find bin Laden, and concern that a failed attack would only enhance his stature in the Arab world.
… people maintain Clinton should have adapted Bush’s policy promising that regimes that harbor terrorism will be treated as severely as terrorists themselves, and threatening to evict the Taliban from power in Afghanistan unless leaders meet his demands to produce bin Laden and associates. But Clinton aides said such a policy — potentially involving a full-scale war in central Asia — was not plausible before politics the world over became transformed by one of history’s most lethal acts of terrorism.

Iraq Veterans Against the War
Republicans also consistently CLAIM that a large majority of American military personnel support their war profiteering which is accomplished by leaving troops in harm’s way, without adequate logistical support, or any pre-war planning to win the peace. The military personnel who mainly support the Iraq initiative are career seat shiners who are ensconced in comfortable positions in heavily fortified bivouacs and the green zone. None of us are permitted to speak our minds about what is going on in the middle east until, unfortunately for the Republicans, we have completed our tours of service.
The IVAW is composed of many thousands of Iraq war veterans who have seen first hand the LIES that the Republicans are foisting upon the American public. You’re never going to stop all terrorism. There is no way that you can say with 100% that Bush would have stopped 9/11 if he was president before then, and there is no way you can say with 100% that if Clinton had pushed harder or terrorism issues that he could have stopped the attacks in 1993 and 2001.
It’s nice to look back and point fingers, but it still doesn’t change the fact that it happened. The best that we can ever hope for is to learn from our past mistakes and move on. While we can always improve or security and intelligence, we will never be 100% safe from terrorism.
Some have asked what I would have done, well this is it.
If I was president and I had my way, I would have gone only to Afghanistan with a large army of probably 250,000 troops to make sure the job was done and done right. I would have completely taken the Taliban out. Also, I would have devoted my attention to finding Bin Laden, his lieutenants and other high level terrorist within the country. They would have either been captured and brought to justice for their crimes or killed. They would have had no chance to make pleas to other Islamic extremist for help. If and when all the terrorist were killed and captured, I would have made an effort to modernize Afghanistan with new schools and hospitals, and help rebuild their cities an homes in hopes that it would create stronger ties with the Muslim community. Once the country was back on its feet I would leave. I would have never had gone to Iraq, unless it was completely necessary. There is much more detail that could be place in here, but this is just a broad overview of what I feel could have been done. I still feel that part of winning this war is winning the ideas and minds of the Muslim world.

PARIS - The nations of the world joined Monday in solemn remembrance of Sept. 11 — but for many, resentment of the United States flowed as readily as tears.
Critics say Americans have squandered the goodwill that prompted France’s Le Monde newspaper to proclaim “We are all Americans” that somber day after the attacks, and that the Iraq war and other U.S. policies have made the world less safe in the five years since.
Heads bowed in moments of silence for the 3,000 killed in the attacks on New York and Washington — while the No. 2 al-Qaida leader issued new warnings in a videotape. And dissident voices said the world has traded in civil liberties and other democratic rights in its war on terror.
“Right after Sept. 11 the world was united with Americans. Their moral leadership was unquestioned,” Pawel Zalewski, head of the Polish parliament’s foreign relations committee, wrote in the Gazeta Wyborcza. “However, this strong moral authority was abused as a result of the Iraq war.”
Even German Chancellor Angela Merkel — an advocate of repairing ties with Washington that were frayed under her predecessor Gerhard Schroeder — had veiled criticism of the United States, saying: “The ends cannot justify the means.”
Exactly five years after its message of solidarity, Le Monde titled its lead editorial “The Mistakes of Bush.”
No comment is needed from me. The words of the worlds leaders speak for themselves ! ! ! There are many more quotes in the full article from which this is excerpted.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A parked car bomb detonated Tuesday in Baghdad’s upscale Mansour neighborhood, killing at least six people and wounding 18 others as violence continued unabated in Iraq.
Bombings, mortar attacks and shootings overnight and on Tuesday left at least 24 people dead and dozens wounded around the country, police and military officials said.
In Middadiyah, a town just outside the city of Baqouba northeast of the capital, a roadside bomb next to a market killed at least four people and wounded 24 others, police said.
In the same area late Monday, gunmen assaulted a Shiite mosque with mortars and assault rifles, killing seven people and wounding three.

From the “be careful of what you wish for” file…
a top deputy of Shiite Muslim leader Moqtada al-Sadr quietly sketched out his vision of the Iraq to come, after the Americans withdraw.
He’s a patient guy. He knows the US can’t stick around forever, doing the same thing. No matter how much Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Andy, RW and Copenhagen think it should:
First, “there will be a civil war,” said the aide, Mustafa Yaqoubi. The rising violence and rivalries under the American occupation make a shaking-out all but inevitable once foreign forces go, Yaqoubi said. “I expect it.”
And here’s the money quote. Yaqoibi says the Bush sponsored push for democracy in the Mideast and Persian Gulf has led to the ascendancy of radical anti-American Muslim factions in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine. Just what Bush said he never wanted:
In a perversion of the “Pottery Barn” rule, the US first broke it… and then broke it some more.
“The Americans wanted elections and wanted democracy,” the Sadr aide said. “This is what they wanted.”
Boy, you can just HEAR the sarcasm and gloating dripping from his voice.
What do do? Well, there’s the Iraq federation plan, backed by Democrat Joe Biden:
The only way to hold Iraq together and create the conditions for our armed forces to responsibly withdraw is to give Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds incentives to pursue their interests peacefully and to forge a sustainable political settlement.
But the spinning-it’s-wheels Bush cabal refuses to admit that it’s wrong. Wrong about Iraq and 9/11, wrong about Saddam and Osama, wrong about WMDs. And it absolutely will not consider any adjustments to a 3 year occupation that has so clearly failed:

I don’t remember President Clinton ever pointing a finger at Bush Sr. in 1993 when the WTC was bombed the first time… looks like the Dems have always been better at the “personal responsibility” issues.
And of course, Dubya never admits to doing anything wrong — so who cares if more than 2,600 of our uniformed men & women have died in Iraq because of the biggest foreign policy disaster in history, right? What’s most important to him is to not “cut and run” from his own mess and just let more Americans continue to be killed and maimed during an Iraqi civil war that we’ve unleashed… truly pathetic. So Dubya’s telling us to stay and continue to be killed because he’s already caused the deaths of so many and he doesn’t want their deaths “to be in vain”? Where’s the logic in that? And when is he going to send his 2 daughters over to Iraq to fight, if he believes it’s such a noble cause?

Never mind Andy:
You might be “metrosexual” if:
You just can’t walk past a Banana Republic store without making a purchase.
You own 20 pairs of shoes, half a dozen pairs of sunglasses, just as many watches and you carry a man-purse.
You see a stylist instead of a barber, because barbers don’t do highlights.
You can make her lamb shanks and risotto for dinner and Eggs Benedict for breakfast… all from scratch.
You only wear Calvin Klein boxer-briefs.
You shave more than just your face. You also exfoliate and moisturize.
You would never, ever own a pickup truck.
You can’t imagine a day without hair styling products.
You’d rather drink wine than beer… but you’ll find out what estate and vintage first.
Despite being flattered (even proud) that gay guys hit on you, you still find the thought of actually getting intimate with another man truly repulsive.

How does every Clinton basher know that he did nothing after the 1993 bombing? If Bush can claim victory for 5 years of no attacks, then certainly Clinton was a huge success with over 7 years without an attack. Why doesn’t Bush I get some blame for not doing enough to prevent the 1993 bombing? If Bush Sr. hadn’t armed and trained the terrorists, there wouldn’t have been a 1993 attack. And if he had removed the military bases like he promised following Gulf I, there wouldn’t have been a 9/11 attack. Hindsight is always 20/20 and that’s the only way Republicants can see. Can and will you revise or withdraw it or do you want to be on the record in the archives with that statement?

“Bin Ladin generally opposed collaboration with Baghdad.” — Senate Intelligence Committee report
“When the aide pressed Bush to get involved in the PDB that said, “Osama determined to strike in US,” he stood there waiting for an answer until Bush finally told him, “You’ve covered your a*, you can go now.”
That’s as involved as Bush or Cheney got until the towers fell, but Disney’s bogus movie claims they were all over it.”
“Bill Clinton stopped cold the Al Qaeda millennium hijacking and bombing plots. Bill Clinton stopped cold a planned attack to kill the Pope. Bushwacker,Collateral Damage, All…,
Your history is interesting. You say that you learned at the War College, and are an active member of Iraq Vets Against the War. I can only assume that you volunteered to fight for your country in the military and were sent to Iraq. We appreciate your service.
But what happened? Something did. You have turned against fellow Americans. You are bitter with hate against men and women alike. You post photos of war victims like they were your family. You insult a patriotic woman like @@ because she protests. Her’s is a normal reaction. Yours is not.
While you are enjoying all that camaraderie with your fellow vets, maybe you should have a serious talk with them. Maybe they can reach you and tell you the truth. You need help.
If your conversations with them are anything like you post here, they will try to help you. You can object to this in any way you want, but get help. I think that you have gone through something tragic that was more than you could take.

Before I go, in response to one of Getalife’s meaningless posts, here is Bin Laden’s 1996 fatwa where it is obvious that he is “determined to strike the U.S.”
Do you think it’s just possible that Bush was telling the agent that he wasn’t telling him something that the whole world didn’t already know, and that without specific intelligence that warning was totally useless?
Note the Iraq connection too, in Bin Laden’s own words.

BD,
Re your of 2:10: “You certainly are changing your tune!”
I think that perhaps you’ve inferred a great deal about me in the past without any real evidence.
Although, I’ve tempered my words recently, I’ve had no epiphanies or changes of heart regarding killing those who want to kill us.
I’ve made it clear that I thought from the very beginning that the Iraq invasion was a mistake. Not evil. Not idiotic. Just a mistake. I’ve also made it abundantly clear that I felt killing the Taliban in Afghanistan was tremendously effective. I’m for killing them anywhere, anytime. I’ve never written anything that would lead you to misinterpret this.
Instead we’re bogged down seemingly “empire building” in a Saddam made h&ll hole. I’m not smart enough to know if this is going to be successful or not. But I have grave doubts and I just don’t trust the guys running this show. To me, their credibility and sometimes even their competence have always been suspect.
But I do know we can do better. And we must…
“I’m not interested in being nice to the Useful Idiot Leftists. We’re at war and idiots and vicious libs are deliberately hurting our efforts.”
In some cases, probably true. But don’t ever forget that leftists and libs have a monopoly on stupid ideas and countless ways to hurt this country.

Sorry BD,
Free Republic is slap full of lies.
“History will show that the U.S. government terrified its own citizens into supporting the invasion of Iraq.
Time and again, Americans already shaky in the wake of Sept. 11 were warned by their leaders that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, and that unless we intervened, the Iraqi leader might provide those weapons to his allies in al-Qaida.
If we waited to take action, President Bush warned, the smoking gun might come in the form of a mushroom cloud.
We now know, of course, that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction and no programs to create them. Last fall, the CIA apparently concluded that there had also been no pre-war ties between Saddam and al-Qaida terrorists, a finding seconded by a report from the Senate Intelligence Committee made public just last week. The committee found that the Bush administration had good reason to know that no such ties existed, but persisted in those claims anyway.
The administration responded to that finding in typical fashion, with White House spokesman Tony Snow dismissing the report as old news. What we need to do is look forward, not backward, Snow argued last week.
There’s some truth to that, of course. The news out of both Iraq and Afghanistan is increasingly glum, and as Snow suggests, we can’t allow ourselves to be distracted by meaningless debates about the past.
However, questions about the honesty, wisdom, judgment and competence of our current leadership are far from meaningless. We are not debating the relative merits of Thomas Jefferson vs. John Adams; we are attempting to decide whether our current leaders can be trusted to handle the challenges we face.
It matters, for instance, that Vice President Dick Cheney now says that the Bush administration would have invaded Iraq even if it had known that Saddam had no WMD and no ties to al-Qaida. Intrigued by the admission on “Meet the Press” Sunday, host Tim Russert pressed the point with Cheney:
“So if the CIA said to you [in 2003] ‘Saddam does not have weapons of mass destruction, his chemical and biological have been degraded, he has no nuclear program under way,’ you’d still have invaded Iraq?”
Yes, Cheney said.
In other words, Iraqi WMD weren’t the reason we went to war, they were merely the excuse that Cheney and his colleagues needed to scare up public support. That’s a

More than three-quarters of al Qaeda’s known leaders and associates have been detained or killed. These include Mohammed Atef, al Qaeda’s senior field commander killed in a bombing raid in Afghanistan; Abu Zubaida, Osama bin Laden’s field commander after the killing of Atef, captured in Pakistan; Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, mastermind of the September 11th attacks, captured in Pakistan; Ramzi Binalshibh, a coordinator of the September 11th attacks, captured in Pakistan; Hambali, top strategist for al Qaeda’s associate group Jemaah Islamiah in Southeast Asia, captured in Thailand; Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, al Qaeda’s chief of operations in the Persian Gulf, captured in the United Arab Emirates; Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, a suspect in the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, captured in Pakistan; and Abu Issa al–Hindi, a central planner of detailed reconnaissance of American financial institutions, captured in Britain.

About the movie, even with the made up sandy berger scene and the only clip of Clinton being the monica lewinski line, I think it comes off on the Bush Admin much worse than the Clinton Admin. Clarke comes in looking to take action immediately after Bush comes in office, meets with condi and gets demoted. Condi gets a PDB for UBL determines to attack the US, and she sits on it for a month before having a meeting. From January until sept 4th, there is no actions taken at all by the Bush admin. Kinda sad
I did notice two thinks not in the movie, no mention that Bush was on vacation for all of august 2001, and no scene of him sitting down and reading for 15 minutes after learning that the US was under attack. Might have been easier to get a shootdown order if he was not reading “my pet goat”

Idiot Bush’s spech last night was such a waste. Iraq Iraq Iraq. Can’t see the forest(pan-Islam) for the tree(Iraq).
Five years after September 11, al-Qaeda is, in its own words, “continuing the policy of bleeding America to the point of bankruptcy,”
The rise of al-Qaeda in Europe, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, Qaedat al-jihad fi bilad al-Rafidayn (al-Qaeda in Iraq) and others has demonstrated that the movement is not directed from the top down, but that these organizations seem to center around local leaders who pledge their allegiance to bin Laden as emir, or commander, and their role is subsequently acknowledged by the al-Qaeda leadership. This is again consistent with their policy of being an inspirational force rather than a formal organization.
Al-Qaeda appears now to be one step closer to realizing its final goal of establishing an Islamic state in the face of U.S. defeat. As al-Zawahiri stated at the end of July, “All the world is a battlefield open in front of us…it is a jihad for the sake of God; we will attack everywhere.” His statements hailed the developments in Lebanon as a step toward their plan of regional war by drawing the United States into an ever expanding battle “from Spain to Iraq.”
Hate to say it, But Senator Rockefeller was right. The world was safer with Saddam in Iraq. Now we’re bogged down in an unwinnable war, while the terrorists spread like cancer…
We’re NOT fighting them over there (where they are) and soon we will be fighting them here.
