Are you pinkos happy? You drove poor little Scott out of the beltway. Now he’s probably sitting somewhere crying in his beer. I hope that they replace him with someone who really knows how to stick to the liberal mainstream media. You know, a press secretary who will stick it to David Gregory and the boys like the left-wing whores that they are and show themselves to be every time that there is a press conference.

To:”Mad as Zell” from One seeking accountability from our Pseudo Leaders, by the way, Pinko is a derogatory term for a person sympathetic to a Communist Party. As a result, the term McCarthyism was coined to specifically describe the intense anti-Communist movement that existed in America from 1950 to about 1956, a time which became popularly known as the Second Red Scare. During this period, people from all walks of life who were suspected of being Soviet spies or Communist sympathizers were brought before Congressional inquiries. These inquiries later came to be referred to as “witch hunts” by McCarthy’s detractors. Senator McCarthy was accused of victimizing innocent people - and to this day, dictionary definitions of “McCarthyism” include the practice of publicizing accusations of political disloyalty or subversion with insufficient regard to evidence and the use of unfair investigatory or accusatory methods in order to suppress opposition. To: “Mad as Zell”, you are just another Joseph McCarthy imitator, be original, that idiot moron job has already been done before, try something new…if you had an original thought, you wouldn’t know what to do with it. Pinko, communist,… go back and read some history. When you’ve caught up in a few years, stupidy is no excuse for an ignorant world view, stop inbreeding in your family, enlighten us with something new and progressive, stop going backwards with your twisted delusions. All any fair and balanced citizen can expect is honesty, clarity, not more deceit. That is why there was a revolution against the King of England dude. You took a dump and fell back in it…you stink, and it won’t wash off. You can’t blame the press corps for incompetence in government. The talking puppet will be replaced by another bozo just like you.

clark: I don’t have a crush on someone in this blog. I crushed some groups of someones when I stepped on them at a local Motel 8 recently (since that “Roach Motel” contraption didn’t work too well, I guess that America had better start using RAID! to get rid of it’s pinko roach problem).
get-a-spine (and some heart): seems fitting that left-wing pinko roach like yourself would get offended when the humans among us misspell COCKROACH, but we all can we that you’re a slimy little leftist cockroach, so its not like we really care. That’s something that you obviously hold near and dear to your slimy little treasonous coldblooded insect heart.
inliar, inloo or whatever the hell your little pinko name is: You probably know a lot about the Red Scare of the 50’s and the commie movement. I’ll even venture to say that either you or a family member were on trial on charges of treason or for being a turncoat and spying on behalf of the Soviets. What’s wrong? Still bitter about being found out as a turncoat and traitor to your country? I’ll even bet that you want the U.S. to lose in the War on Terror, don’t you?
inloo, you little commie traitor, the reason why people are still called as and known to be pinkos to this day is because an individual or group of individuals displays communist or socialist-like tendencies such as not wanting to see public expressions of religion (mainly Christianity) or any public acknowledgement of God’s existance (like Michael Newdow, the guy in California who wanted the God’s name taken out of the Pledge of Allegiance or those who refuse to believe in the existance of a creator of a higher power). inloo, get-a-spine, put a red (or pink) sock in it and go back to whatever little pinko, atheist, commie, socialist hole in the ground that you probably climbed out of (probably Boston or San Francisco).

This is just SO great!! This kid from Brown who has written a book entitled, Out of Ivy just NAILS liberals and academia:
My objection to liberal activism was more about my classmates’ zealotry, and the fact that I knew I was forbidden to disagree or disapprove of them. In other words, I had a negative reaction to the ethic and demeanor of liberals before I even disagreed with liberal thought. I found Brown’s leading liberal forces to be deviant, oppressive, and improper before I reached any other conclusions. Ironically, they were viciously labeling everyone but themselves as mean, dumb, and racist. But I saw it in reverse.
Out of Ivy documents the campus left’s hypocrisy, and their readiness to lie, smear, stereotype, and discriminate-all accompanied by their assertion that they were the fluffy-hearted champions of tolerance and understanding.*

BTW, which one is the gay male escort turned right-wing journalist who was issued a pass to the White House Press Corp under an alternate name (Jim Guckert/Jeff Gannon), with whom lil’ Scotty bear was on a first name basis, and who visited the White House on many occasions when there was no press briefing, and who always asked pointed, hard-hitting, fact-illuminating questions on behalf of the American people, such as “How do you work with the Democrats when they’re so divorced from reality?” Maybe Scotty bear quit because so few journalists really want to sink their teeth into the facts like that. Bush would have a hard time telling the chinese to do anything, we are no longer negotiating from a position of strength with them because they could shut down our economy in a day.
It is amazing to me that ao many people can think that national defense and security only has to do with the number of tanks, guns, and planes a country has. Because of the financial carelessness we have had for the last 5 years, our country is more vulnerable now than it ever has been. Defense is about fiscal solvency and manufacturing production as much as guns and missles.

Oops I missed RW’s 11:44 link^^ regarding Brain Doyle. If you pull the raw data from the link he provided you will find that the supposed registration data was from 22 years ago.
I wonder what party affiliation Doyle has today since he was installed into the newly created Republican DHS (a security agency that you would think should CHECK the character and values of its’ appointees) under the leadership of a Republican administration?
The link admits that Doyle worked at Time from ‘75-‘01 (never having worked in a Democratic administration) and that Doyle viewed pornography on Time’s computers, was caught and faced discipline but that this information was not identified on his “background check”.
I didn’t post regarding Doyle because his party affiliation was so questionable contrary to RW’s claim but I see he doesn’t share the same values!
What can be said with certainty is that Doyle never worked for a Democratic administartion but DID work as the Deputy Press Secretary for DHS cleared to handle top-secret material in a REPUBLICAN administration. This still leaves the individual to make up their own minds regarding Doyle’s supposed Democratic or Republican affiliations but makes abundantly clear the failure of the Republican created DHS to screen and secure its’ staff.
Thanks to RW for highlighting the Bush administrations failure to police its’ supposed security force!

Indeed, Fitzgerald has refused even to reveal to lawyers for Scooter Libby—indicted not for “leaking” but for perjury—whether Plame was a covert agent.

track 4
Shock And Awe
Back in the days of shock and awe We came to liberate them all History was the cruel judge of overconfidence Back in the days of shock and awe
Back in the days of “mission accomplished” Our chief was landing on the deck The sun was setting on a golden photo op Back in the days of “mission accomplished”
Thousands of bodies in the ground Brought home in boxes to a trumpet’s sound No one sees them coming home that way Thousands buried in the ground
Thousands of children scarred for life Millions of tears for a soldier’s wife Both sides are losing now Heaven takes them in Thousands of children scarred for life
We had a chance to change our mind But somehow wisdom was hard to find We went with what we knew and now we can’t go back But we had a chance to change our mind.

It turns out that Brian Doyle, who resigned as deputy press secretary at the Department of Homeland Security after being charged with solicitation of a minor and transmitting pornographic material to a minor, is not a career civil servant, as we said yesterday. As CNN reported earlier this month, he actually spent most of his career in the mainstream media:
Friends and former co-workers say Doyle was disciplined by Time magazine after he allegedly used company computers to view adult pornography in the publication’s Washington bureau office
Time magazine said only that it employed Doyle for 26 years and refused to comment further. Doyle, a registered Democrat, left Time in 2001 to work for the government.

On foreign policy, Democrats would have you believe that Bush is the most reckless President and that he has ripped the United States away from a tradition of cooperative diplomacy by violently overthrowing governments.
But as former New York Times reporter Steven Kinzer points out, the opposite is true. Bush is actually following and escalating a long-established tradition.
Beginning with the ouster of Hawaii’s monarchy in 1893, the United States government has not hesitated to overthrow governments – fourteen by Kinzer’s count – that stood in the way of its political and economic goals.
One example from the fourteen: Fifty-three years ago, the United States launched Operation Ajax to overthrow the democratically elected leader of Iran – Mohammed Mossadegh.
Now it looks like Bush is preparing for Iran again.
In 1953, Mossadegh was fed up with the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company – now BP – pumping Iran’s oil and shipping the profits back home to the United Kingdom.
Mossadegh said — hey, this is our oil, I think we’ll keep it. Bad idea.
For the United States government, beholding to the Big Oil Companies, decided to overthrow Mossadegh’s government.
Kinzer, who has written a number of books documenting a century of regime change overseas, puts it this way:
“Imagine today what it must sound like to Iranians to hear American leaders tell them — ‘We want you to have a democracy in Iran, we disapprove of your present government, we wish to help you bring democracy to your country.’ Naturally, they roll their eyes and say — ‘We had a democracy once, but you crushed it.’”.
Some people speak in cliches and have childishly simple “answers” for very complicated issues. Don’t believe the hype…

Dear President Bush,
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I have learned a great deal from you and understand why you would propose and support a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage. As you said “in the eyes of God marriage is based between a man a woman.” I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination… End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God’s Laws and how to follow them.
Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanness - Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is, my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2. clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?
A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. Can you settle this? Are there ‘degrees’ of abomination?
Lev.21:20 states that I may ! not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle- room here?
Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?
I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help.
Thank you again for reminding us that God’s word is eternal and unchanging.
Humbly Yours, Pat

From”inlieu To:Mad as (a hatter)Zell…what a burn out…frothing and foaming at the mouth like a mad hyena. Hyenas mark and patrol their territories by depositing a strong-smelling substance produced by the anal glands on stalks of grass along the boundaries. “Latrines,” places where members of a clan deposit their droppings, also mark territories. The high mineral content of the bones hyenas consume make their droppings a highly visible, chalky white. Hyenas are social animals that communicate with one other through specific calls, postures and signals. They quickly make their various intentions known to other members of the clan, or to outsiders. When a hyena’s tail is carried straight, for example, it signals attack. When it is held up and forward over the back, the hyena is extremely excited. In contrast, it hangs down when the hyena is standing or walking leisurely. If frightened, the hyena tucks its tail between the legs and flat against the belly and usually skulks away….any questions, get some therapy, you need help if your going to walk upright and be human. According to the Gospel of John, the Pharisees, in an attempt to discredit Jesus, brought a woman charged with adultery before him. Then they reminded Jesus that adultery was punishable by stoning under Mosaic law and challenged him to judge the woman so that they might then accuse him of disobeying the law. Jesus thought for a moment and then replied, “He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.” The people crowded around him were so touched by their own consciences that they departed. When Jesus found himself alone with the woman, he asked her who were her accusers. She replied, “No man, lord.” Jesus then said, “Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more.”

About time:
Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff yesterday announced a nationwide immigration enforcement strategy that will aggressively target employers who “knowingly and recklessly” hire illegal aliens, and those who help them find jobs.
“And that means we’ve got to focus on illegal migration and also on those who flagrantly violate the law by encouraging that migration, whether they do it by smuggling the migrants across the border or by employing them in a systematic fashion once they get into the United States.”

There is another skill great leaders have: Neither Donald Rumsfeld nor Caspar Weinberger suffered fools well, nor did they empower their generals to do any part of the job of being the defense secretary. Just the opposite: they ran the Defense Department from the top, set the final policies themselves, and expected them to be carried out by their generals. And, both interfered with the career ambitions of more than a few generals who objected to new policies by forgetting — or simply ignoring — the “to be carried out” part of their jobs.

With a little over three weeks left before the May 15 deadline to sign upforthenew Medicare drug benefit, a tale of two types of seniors is emerging. While the early press coverage painted the new drug insurance program as universally confusing and intimidating, experience is proving that narrative wrong. Seniors who signed up for the program exhibit systematically different and overwhelmingly positive attitudes on a variety of issues related to the new Medicare program compared to those who stay on the sidelines. The concrete experience of signing up clearly sways opinion.
Consider the overall approval or disapproval of the underlying law. Dutko Research’s March survey (800 registered voters; March 14-19) finds 40 percent of voters approve of the Medicare prescription-drug legislation, while 47 percent disapprove. Yet seniors who have signed up for the benefit approve by a solid 58 percent to 38 percent margin.

Liberals ask them before they sign up, while the lies are still fresh, and Conservative ask them after they sign up and have seen the truth.
Other surveys also point to satisfaction among those who have actual experience with the Medicare prescription-drug program. An ABC/Washington Post survey (April 6-9) finds among those enrolled a 74 percent to 24 percent margin saying enrollment was easy, not difficult. An AARP survey of enrolled seniors (March 9-April 3) finds nearly 8 in 10 satisfied with their new drug coverage. And 67 percent say they already are saving money.
Another myth dispelled.

I prefer Teddy’s version
““The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.” Theodore Roosevelt

Daniel,
LTD brought up TR, so I will refer to him also in response to your lame question.
From The Man in the Arena: Citizenship in a Republic
In the next place, the good man should be both a strong and a brave man; that is, he should be able to fight, he should be able to serve his country as a soldier, if the need arises. There are well-meaning philosophers who declaim against the unrighteousness of war. They are right only if they lay all their emphasis upon the unrighteousness. War is a dreadful thing, and unjust war is a crime against humanity. But it is such a crime because it is unjust, not because it is a war. The choice must ever be in favor of righteousness, and this is whether the alternative be peace or whether the alternative be war. The question must not be merely, Is there to be peace or war? The question must be, Is it right to prevail? Are the great laws of righteousness once more to be fulfilled? And the answer from a strong and virile people must be “Yes,” whatever the cost. Every honorable effort should always be made to avoid war, just as every honorable effort should always be made by the individual in private life to keep out of a brawl, to keep out of trouble; but no self-respecting individual, no self-respecting nation, can or ought to submit to wrong.
BTW, Daniel, if you are going to use Christianity as a argument against war, then you need to be prepared to answer how you can reconcile Christianity with the modern liberal agenda.
If you open up that can of worms, I shall make you eat it (figuratively of course).

“…the man who really counts in the world is the doer, not the mere critic-the man who actually does the work, even if roughly and imperfectly, not the man who only talks or writes about how it ought to be done.” (1891)
“Criticism is necessary and useful; it is often indispensable; but it can never take the place of action, or be even a poor substitute for it. The function of the mere critic is of very subordinate usefulness. It is the doer of deeds who actually counts in the battle for life, and not the man who looks on and says how the fight ought to be fought, without himself sharing the stress and the danger.” (1894)

Well this morning Suck tells us that scientists are pinko liberals who are trying to cut into his profits with all this talk of global warming and he “proves” this by quoting….scientists at Duke U. If one scientist in a hundred thousand agrees with your “talking points” he is wise and venerable but the other 99,999 are pinko wankers. Sounds like more of those Republican values at work to me!
Then, Danish wants us to “reconcile Christianity with the modern liberal agenda”. So what is “the modern liberal agenda”. I thought these guys have been telling us that there is no unity in the liberal agenda and we don’t have a plan… So what is it, the liberals are the ultimate schemers or they don’t have a plan? I think we have screwed up Iraq to a point where we owe it to Iraqis to stay in there and make sure their country does not disintegrate. That does not mean we have to “stay the course” (a misnomer, since it’s not at all obvious there is a course to begin with), but that does mean, in my opinion, that we have to help them establish a country they want. Rumor has it that Fitzgerald will have Karl Rove indicted. That would be Wunderbar!!! But unfortunately Rove’s crimes are the same as the crimes of all Republicans since 1932: accusing their opponents of Communism, lack of patriotism, and every other indignity possible. I agree with you on the intent of most liberals. That is “destroy the country”.
Reading this blog, makes me believe that this is the liberal agenda:
LEAVE Iraq immediately so they can have a civil war.
Capture Osama but release all Gitmo prisoners and close the facility.
Ignore voting. Use opinion polls.
Ignore the military on their return home from Iraq. Let them know that they should not have been there. Criticize those overseas and loudly protest the war.
Impeach Bush. Install retired “cut’n’ run” generals.
Tell the world that the USA is a terrible place because a majority of citizens have rejected liberal politics and their politicians.

Dusty- afraid I don’t get your “oil on the water” reference. Is this some sort of sick “walk on water” (Jesus) analogy.
I have never expressed the notion that I possess Republican values, the moniker is merely a sarcastic jab at the “high moral ground” that Republicans have taken since so many Republicans have the same short-comings that they claim to see in Democrats. Probably best exemplified by Newt and his congressional crusade ala Monicagate while being a multiple divorcee and adulterer himself.

It may have skewed his logic. For a progressive, you certainly aren’t very receptive to progress. The conventional warfare policy cannot apply from this point forward. You would have to assume that all of our enemies in the future would be willing to follow the conventional rules of engagement. They won’t, and that is proving to be true in Iraq. Let’s prepare our military for the future engagements and quit confining them by Murtha’s old way of doing things.

This is the only tactic this increasingly desparate and dwindling group of wingnuts have, to make wild allegations and withour substance and try to put the burden on other to disprove them. For example, :
Global warming is a plot by the communist to take over.
Now this is a truely idiotic statement, but one you will hear often. What is lacking is the question of how and why, what possible good would come of this, why would it happen
Liberals want to destroy the country.
Again, an idiotic statement, no rational arguement for it, no goal. What would any person have to gain by destorying thier own country?
But this tactic is used when reality starts catching up with them and one lie or failure after the next is revealed. When they are frightened, they turn to outrage and attack, Really it is all they have left.

You don’t just change the formulation of gasolines, you putz.
Gasoline producers had previously used additive MTBE to make reformulated gasoline, used at a third of the nation’s pumps to combat air pollution, but are phasing the chemical out because of the risk of lawsuits after several states banned it for contaminating groundwater. The problem with the replacement additive, experts say, is that ethanol cannot be shipped in pipelines because it absorbs water, and requires trucks, rail cars or barges for transport.

Andy is getting all flustered, must be his time of the month.
First off, where are you getting your numbers? Have you been listening to Rush again?
Second, gas is a lagging indicator to oil, meaning that oil will rise faster than gas but will usually catch up. There are seasonal market factors that play into demand as well, but the overall mover of the gas price is the oil price.

Andy, I speak and understand them both but the values of your scenario are too loose to analyze. It is a moot point anyway, there are entirely too many variables that play into the price of fuel, blends are certainly part of it.
I know it is the democrat party that constantly, for decades, have blocked any attempts to increase our domestic ability to produce oil or refine it into gas.
Also, the first time gas jumped to over two dollars a gallon was after a refinery explosion in Texas that killed 15 workers, if memory serves me right.

If you caught an enemy committing an act against the US you can just kill him and be done with it (long as there ain’t no libs around.) When you catch a pinko undermining the government you have to afford them their basic constitutional rights, which kind of sucks. Maybe Bush is as bad as y’all say and he’ll change that.

A lesson in Conservative Republican economics
Poor Planning Could Push War Costs to $1 Trillion ABC analyst Tony Cordesman, who also holds the Arleigh A. Burke Chair in Strategy for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, says the exorbitant costs come down to poor planning. “When the administration submitted its original budget for the Iraq war, it didn’t provide money for continuing the war this year or any other. We could end up spending up to $1 trillion in supplemental budgets for this war.” According to the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, the United States spent $48 billion for Iraq in 2003, $59 billion in 2004, and $81 billion in 2005. The center predicts the figure will balloon to $94 billion for 2006. That equates to a $1,205 bill for each of America’s 78 million families, on top of taxes they already pay.

This girl gets around:
Mary McCarthy, CIA Leaker, turns out to be a politically active Democrat. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it may be probative in establishing her motive for revealing national-security secrets. She also served as a special assistant to the president during the Clinton administration. The New York Times reported Saturday that she contributed $2,000 to the 2004 presidential campaign of John Kerry. Blogger Tom Maguire notes that she also donated $5,000 to the Ohio Democratic Party, and that a male landscaper who shares her address and her last name—we’re guessing they also share a connubial bed, but the FEC doesn’t keep tabs on that—also gave $2,000 to Kerry, plus $500 to Maryland’s Sen. Barbara Mikulski, a Democrat.*
Doesn’t look to be any political motivation here, sure don’t. (Yeah, right.)

Al Qaeda drew a line in the sands of the Sunni Triangle, and the United States Army and Marines walked right across it. First, al Qaeda tried to kill Americans, per bin Laden’s orders. It largely failed. Then al Qaeda went after America’s allies, and succeeded only in turning public opinion against itself in every Muslim country it attacked. After thirty months of battlefield defeats and political embarrassments, bin Laden won’t even mention Iraq in one of his rare public utterances, and he rallies his troops to fight a war where American soldiers aren’t. How humiliating. How delightful.
Al Qaeda has lost in Iraq, and bin Laden is desperate to change the subject. He and his organization are at grave risk of being discredited, and when that happens it will be much harder for al Qaeda to attract recruits, raise money, or deal with governments.
