Thank you all
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Greetings, everyone. As you may have seen I have won the Pulitzer for my cartoons in 2005. It was for twenty cartoons - some on Katrina and some on the Iraq war including the “Why” cartoon which generated alot of comments from you all.
I appreciate all of you coming to my site, and posting your thoughts on my cartoons or on current issues. I think this is one of the few blogs where people on both the right and the left get together and actually interact with each other. So thank you all for continuing to make your voices heard on this blog.

The liberal media just love this guy. Just goes to show you that if you create 300 cartoons, of which 270 are about George W. Bush, you can win a Pulitzer.

What’s news about this? Lukovich almost daily prints Bush slander rhetoric. Mallard Fillmore is a great cartoon, but it slants right of center, so naturally the liberal fish-wrapper rag AJC won’t print it. That’s one reason myself and many others in the metro area couldn’t be PAID enough to read that liberal sh!tfest.
Someone winning a Pulitzer for Bush trashing is about as surprising as willing an Oscar for Republican bashing.. or loony leftist Jimmy Carter winning a Nobel Prize for “peace.” What a crock.

Congrats! You really are the best. Newsweek shows the best every week, you almost always have one and sometimes two. I have been a fan since you were with the New Orleans Paper. Atlanta is very fortunate to have you at AJC. 98% of your cartoons are excelent and the other 2% are still better than the rest of the cartoonists. J. J. Chambers Destin, Fl.

“oh, I hate the AJC”
“Oh, I would never read that useless liberal newspaper”

You’re in really tall cotton now but I see your stuff so often in Time, other newsweeklies and USA Today and such that many of us already knew that you have few peers in the business. I know you don’t pay attention to those blinded to Bush’s incompetence, hatred or whatever limits their vision. But keep sharing yours, brother, keep sharing. You’re an Atlanta treasure. Much love. We’re proud of you! From one journalist to the next, you make me proud to go to work and think that we in the Fourth Estate can make a difference. Keep sticking it to The Worst President Ever! Anyone who follows you’re career knows you’ve skewered Republicans and Democrats equally… unfortunately the mouth-breathing Bush lovers have short memories, stunted senses of humor and their heads in the sand about Bush’s many blunders, half-truths and outright lies. I subscribe to Newsweek which publishes three political cartoons on its editorial page each week. I cannot begin to count the number of times that two of the three cartoons were Mikes and can count on one hand the number of times one of his cartoons was not included on that page! What a great testament to a National Treasure right here in our hometown!

Let’s see - newspapers winning Pulitzer prizes for Bush-bashing, and a leftist cartoonist winning one for Bush-bashing as well. Wow! How unexpected and shocking! Didn’t Green Day win an award for Bush-Bashing also? I guess the whole notion of a “left-wing media” really is just paranoia…
It should also be noted that public opinion of the news media is at an all-time low. As such, what does a Pulitzer award really mean? That the public doesn’t trust you, but that’s ok because you’re still really really good?

Congratulations.
A few years ago, my teenaged son was hospitalized at Scottish Rite. You were visiting there one evening, and even though my son couldn’t get out of bed to meet you, you drew a get-well cartoon for him. He still has it (although, to be fair, it’s hanging in his bathroom.). We appreciated your taking the time to spread some cheer.

It appears that congratulations are in order. You won “The Pulitzer” is it?
I have to be honest though, while a couple of your cartoons have given me a chuckle, there have been other political cartoonists who have been far more creative in their satire and art. Even the ones that bash Bush.
Call it constructive criticism. I’d like to see the public vote on these things. We are, after all, the consumers.

THAT is anti-American!!!! Not standing up for the downtrodden is anti-American (and anti-Christian)!!!! Not remembering that the Statue of Liberty ever-so-eloquenty states “Bring me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost, to me. I life my lamp beside the golden door.” Did you understand that, DAVE? Fantastic job Mike. AJC ROCKS!!!
Jury Finds Former Ill. Gov. Ryan Guilty of Racketeering and Fraud
George Ryan (Republican Governor, Illinois)
Ryan’s term in office was marked by a scandal involving the illegal sale of government licenses, contracts and leases by state employees during his prior service as Secretary of State; in the wake of numerous convictions of former aides, he chose not to run for reelection in 2002. In December 2003 he was indicted on 18 federal racketeering, fraud and conspiracy charges. His trial got underway in September 2005. The scandals are widely believed to have hurt the chances for Republicans to hold the governorship; Attorney General Jim Ryan (no relation) lost to Rod Blagojevich in the 2002 election, ending 25 years of Republican governorships.

The fact that this blog resembles the left-wing fanatic Huffington Post should indicate that intelligent conversation is not to be expected here. What a joke. Mike is one of the least talented political cartoonists ever. Only hard core Democrats enjoy this guy. Wow! He makes fun of Republicans and Bush everyday. That takes talent? No. Why not make fun of retarded kids too Mike? The shots he takes at right wingers are often a cheap shot and not very clever. The cartoons aren’t well drawn either. It’s the same thing everyday. Bush lied, the war is a failure, bush lied. We got it in the first 500 cartoons Mike. You don’t like Bush. My opinion of the pulitizer really went down the crapper. What’s next? Moore’s movie was NOT debunked. It was lied about by cretins like you and your ilk. It was misrepresented by your goon squad. It was picked apart by you feces slinging idiots.
As for the movie garnering a standing ovation in France, I could have sworn I was in Chamblee, Ga when I watched it and it got a standing “o” at the end.

I despise Lukovitch with every ounce of Southern blood in me. In all his cartoons he has never posted a positive image of the South or our heritage. He should take his awards and go back from the rock he crawled out under. Since Delta’s pilots are no longer threatening strike he has several options to leave.

After Marlette left, I never thought we’d get a cartoonist as good…shoot, we got one profoundly better.
We may not have the best basketball team, our baseball team fizzles in the playoffs, and our football team been to the superbowl a whole one time…but we kick butt in the political cartoonist department!!!

I appreciate all of you coming to my site, and posting your thoughts on my cartoons or on current issues. I think this is one of the few blogs where people on both the right and the left get together and actually interact with each other. So thank you all for continuing to make your voices heard on this blog.
An honest tip of the hat for providing the forum for an open discussion and debate, that takes guts. Even though some people in here hate it and work so hard to shut it down.

Obviously, this is well deserved. It’s not if you or I agree or disagree, but rather that the cartoon resonates and brings you and I to consider the information available and hopefully weigh that carefully to decide whether to agree or disagree. That is the point of democracy, that I will defend to the death your right to openly agree or disagree with me or others - and discuss it.

The media has a liberal bias? Really?! Wow. That certainly should be fixed. Gee I wonder why that is… It couldn’t be because members of the media are paid lots of money to be constantly in tune with current trends and events, and are therefore in better positions to make educated judgements….. I mean, it’s not like that’s their job or anything….
Because personally, I read the bible every day, and take it literally, too. That’s what’s REALLY important when it comes to making judgements and decisions about today’s world.
In all seriousness, congratulations Mike.
Maybe if we’re lucky, the GOP will run a Pat Robertson/Jerry Falwell ticket in 08. That way, everyone will be happy: the religious right fundie zombies will finally have an administration to annihilate all of the evil, non-protestant religions of the world, while simultaneously sending our nation’s moral compass back to the 17th century, and Mike will have quite possibly the easiest targets ever…..

This latest award to Lukovich for his 90% Bush slamfest cartoons bespeaks yet again why the AJC has another name:
The Atlanta Urinal-Constipation.
It’s worthy only for lining a bird cage or a toilet.. those articles they reprint from the New York Slimes notwithstanding of course.
And to think these idiots wonder why their circulation is down and why lib-slanted newsrag circulation is down in general nationwide, including the AJC’s sugardaddy, the New York Slimes.
Nothing is so sweet as seeing the bottom line dwindle from a bunch of wacko liberals in charge of choosing what to print. What was that? Nobody in the mainstream media wanted to ask those thousands of other retired generals what their opinion was on Rumsfeld or of ACTING generals and soldier grunts? Didn’t think so.. it wouldn’t fit the Bush-slam template.

I really try to be amused by Mike’s work, but I cannot muster even a chuckle. I usually grimace. His work is flippant and sarcastic regarding President Bush and W’s effort to defend our nation. GWB is trying to protect us from obvious evil and ML chooses to firebomb him like the terrorist cowards with their IEDs in IRAQ. I assume that ML was beaten up on the playground a lot as a kid and this is his lame attempt to get back at “the man.” I stopped buying the AJC because of this kind of goofy drivel.

So now Bush is immoral and UNCHRISTIAN according to the freaks on the loony left. Then at the same time we have these same a* hat liberals on the left saying that Bush & Co. are attempting to push a Christian theocracy down America’s throat.
Well I would hope these liberal socialist jackasses on the left would at least stay consistent in their own arguments. But alas, they can’t.. that’s what happens when you base an ideology on emotions and not REALITY.

You are making a common mistake in confusing religion with morality. The Spanish Inquisition and the Salem Witch Trials are prime examples. There are many religious people who are immoral and vice versa. We are all sinners, the difference is that some of us try to pretend that we aren’t. Whitened sepulchres is Jesus’ name for those.

I love it how people nowadays can’t give a normal “congratulations”, they always have to be bitter crybabies when things do not go their way. Some of you here are really pathetic. Really, now. It’s called opinions for a reason. The Pulitzer jury thought that Mike’s cartoons were worthwhile and they chose him as the victor in his category. The Rush Limbaugh Show. His show was first nationally syndicated in August 1988, and as of 2005 (according to Arbitron ratings surveys) its audience was estimated at between 14 and 20 million listeners per week, making it the largest radio talk show audience in the United States. Although Limbaugh’s audience is not monolithic, he does attract the highest percentage (56%) of hard news consumers relative to all other television and radio programs in the United States.

You get the awards, we get the power:
Conservatives might be angry with Bush for being too liberal on issues like spending and immigration. It is unlikely that they will move into the Democratic column. Moderates and independents might be upset because Bush now seems to be incompetent - but this does not imply a lasting increase in electoral power for Democrats. This is an evaluation of Bush’s person that we cannot assume affects his party’s electoral fortunes. These explanations are just as reasonable as Morin’s. Many more are equally reasonable as well. Thus, to infer that it is the decline of conservatism or Republicanism is invalid.
Enjoy the consolation prizes, hahahaha.

If anything should be controversial, it is Hollywood going AWOL while its country fights the scourge of our time, Islamic totalitarianism. For five years, America has been battling people who are dedicated to destroying every value that Hollywood claims to care most about — freedom, tolerance, women’s rights, secular government, equality for gays — and Hollywood has yet to make a film depicting, let alone honoring, this war.
The only people likely to object to this film are those who don’t want Americans to become aware of just how conscienceless, cruel and depraved our enemy is, or those who think that our enemies can always be negotiated with and therefore object to depicting Americans actually fighting back.
In the meantime, go and see “United 93,” to see why some Americans still take “Home of the brave” seriously; and to see why we have to win this war more than any since World War II. That’s how bad our enemy is. You have an unfortunately rare chance to see that enemy at work when you see what happened to everyone who boarded United Airlines Flight 93 that left Newark on September 11, 2001.

It has everything to do with mansions, large houses, manor houses, and those who lived/still live within them, plus the very essence of their lives and styles. You’re too grossly ignorant to learn these things, and I shan’t direct or help you. You ARE a living pigstye. No - hold that - pigs have strong morals and ethics within their society. You are less than 6th grade material, punk. I’d shove your very own fist up your rectum. “Bet”?? What would a lifetime loser like you have to bet?? “Show (your) hand”??? You HAVE no hand. You’re a coward, a boor, a bitter buffoon without a job or a life. You’re of no further interest to me - if I wanted your “hand,” within 20 minutes I’d have, you, your location, your entire dishonorable family and its background. Like they say, “Stay in your proper place.” And the “MANOR” is assuredly not it. Your type has never even been permitted to pick up the “droppings” within the manor. You are an insult to the white race, whitetrash. You little people need to learn to talk strictly…among yourselves. I’m all for segregating the white race - from the lower portion of the white race wherein we find such as you. We had that not long ago. Eat your heart out, hillbilly. You’re NEVER going anywhere other than your current stench. You can’t outrun that.

I win! I win! I’m cyber rich!!
From The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, Third Edition. 2002.*
To the manner born - A person who is “to the manner born” is one who has acquired genteel tastes and habits by virtue of having been born into a privileged class: “Rachel is charming at dinner parties—as if she were to the manner born.” This expression is sometimes mistakenly rendered as “to the manor born.” The phrase is from Hamlet, by William Shakespeare.
Another source, if cultural literacy is not your thing. Judging from Ray’s rude rant, this is another good bet:
*“To the Manor Born” was the punning title of a popular BBC comedy, which greatly increased the number of people who mistakenly supposed the original expression had something to do with being born on a manor. Perhaps because of the poetically inverted word order in “manner born” the expression tends to occur in rather snooty contexts. Nevertheless, the correct expression is “to the manner born.”
Or consider this:
It could be considered a punning use, which is possible only if you think that the writer knows his or her Shakespeare and is being deliberate. It could be considered an error, if you think that the writer is ignorant of Shakespeare. Or, you could consider it a new use in a different sense from the original. Most commentators call it a mistake.
Nope - Jean did not mention Shakespeare, so there was no punning use, just ordinary ignorance.

N-GA,
You’re still cackling and crowing away.
All wrong as usual. My son served honorably for many years in the military. Glad you brought that up.
Clear thinking and patriotism do not lead me to compare our government with Hitler and his regime. You have missed those qualities and follow the liberal path. Split the country so you can get a Dem vote. Anyway. Anyhow.
Sizzle and fizzle away fruitlessly, N-GA.

Mike,
Congrats on your award. Even though I am a hardcore conservative and disagree with pretty much every single point you make, I want to thank you for making everybody who sees your cartoons think. You made it a point on CNN that this is why you make your cartoons. I commend you on accomplishing that, and thank you for at least making people use their brains for a change.

Suck, what little credibility you have sinks every time you link to realclearpolitics; a site that makes Rush Limbaugh seem moderate.
We’ll just look at two from today:
“For five years, America has been battling people who are dedicated to destroying every value that Hollywood claims to care most about — freedom, tolerance, women’s rights, secular government, equality for gays — and Hollywood has yet to make a film depicting, let alone honoring, this war.
All those values weren’t around in Afghanistan under the Taliban, and they certainly aren’t today. Try being a Christian there! Or a girl who wants to go to school! The people the US are fighting against, and the ones the US are fighting for are two peas in a pod!!
And things have gone from bad to worse in Iraq! Saddam was truly evil, but under his Baathists, there was religious freedom, no official persecution of gays, and some women even owned property, businesses and held political offices. All just memories in Iraq today. Under Saddam, Iraq’s government was secular. Now, it’s just a question of which Muslim leaders will call the tunes.
And Suck, since you revile gays so much, it’s amusing to think of you defending them!
“In the meantime, go and see “United 93,” to see why some Americans still take “Home of the brave” seriously; and to see why we have to win this war more than any since World War II. That’s how bad our enemy is.”
Suck, how many times do you and your fellow cretins have to be told?? IRAQ AND SADDAM HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11!!
You’re proving that the cliche, “repeat a lie enough and people will believe it” is itself a lie.
Why do you hate America?

The rest of Buchanan:
“What the polls are saying is that neoconservatism has failed and we wish to be rid of it, that Davos Republicanism has failed and we wish to be rid of it, that the open-borders immigration policy of the Wall Street Journal is idiotic and we wish to be rid of it.
This is not only understandable, there would be something wrong with Americans if they did not seek to regurgitate the fruit of such failed policies. Yet, when one looks at the large Republican field of presidential hopefuls shaping up, not one has broken with, and all seem to stand behind, George W. Bush. None so more than John McCain”
“But by 1968, Great Society liberalism had been tried and had transparently failed. The no-win war in Vietnam and the urban riots bespoke a failed philosophy and policy. Today in 2006, it is neoconservatism and Wall Street Journal Republicanism that have failed as badly as had Great Society liberalism by 1968”
I like Buchanan, he is a real conservative who has values that do not change with each situation and are not dependent upon one man

The wingnuts still cling to the lie that Iraq and Saddam and Iraq were terror lynchpins that had to be destroyed!
Whatever happened to Osama… hmmmm??
“You might have thought that Mr. Bush, in the immediate aftermath of Sept. 11, would have used all the forces at his disposal to capture or kill the man responsible for the worst attack on the United States since Pearl Harbor. But if you thought that, you would have been wrong.”
“The man Mr. Bush really wanted was Saddam Hussein. And he pulled out all the stops to get him.”
“It is time for the American people to wise up. From the very beginning, the so-called war on terror was viewed by the Bush crowd as a magical smoke screen, a political gift from the gods that could be endlessly manipulated to justify all kinds of policies and behavior — including the senseless war in Iraq — that otherwise would never have been tolerated by the American people.”

As someone who has been to both Iraq and Afghanistan I have to say I think your cartoons are the definition of treason, “Giving aid and comfort to the enemy”. If you don’t think that the insurgents and Al Qaeida are not seeing what is going in this country with nothing good being reported from either combat zone you are wrong. And there are a lot of good things going on. I’ll bet you didn’t do any cartoons when the Iraqis under the threat of the insurgents went out and voted in the millions. Maybe Usama was right when he said that Americans will not have the will to stay and fight. With people like you out there I’m starting to think he may be right.

“How U.S. inaction led to rise of militias”
*”BAGHDAD - U.S. officials were warned for more than two years that Shiite Muslim militias were infiltrating Iraq’s security forces and taking control of neighborhoods, but they failed to take action to counteract the threat, Iraqi and American officials said.”
“Now American officials call the militias the primary security concern in Iraq, blaming them for more civilian deaths than the Sunni Muslim insurgency.”
That’s right. It’s not Al Qaeda, or ‘foreigners’ like Zarqawi causing the carnage in Iraq. It’s Iraqis. Unleashed by the most ill-planned, misbegotten US military action in a generation.

April 17, 2006, 6:40 a.m Iraq Is the War on Terror As the administration stays curiously mum, the evidence that it was right mounts.
As Michael Ledeen recounted here on NRO a few days ago, President Bush’s claim that the Iraqi regime had sought uranium in Africa was not only true and, as the British parliamentary investigation later concluded, “well-founded”; it was probably an understatement. Christopher Hitchens observes — based on the Duelfer Report — that Iraq’s efforts to acquire uranium from Niger stretch back a quarter century. Unless you are inclined to believe Saddam was interested in procuring goats in 1999 when he dispatched a high-ranking emissary to that cash-starved but uranium-rich African nation — a nation with which he had previously done uranium business — there can be little doubt that nuclear-weapons development was the impetus.
direct contacts between high-ranking Iraqi regime officials and both Osama bin Laden and Ayman Zawahiri (bin Laden’s top deputy); an apparent payment of hundreds of thousands of dollars by Iraq to Zawahiri in 1998; elaborate mentions of Iraq in bin Laden’s infamous 1998 fatwa calling for the murder of all Americans, anywhere they could be found — the fatwa that presaged the bombing of the U.S. embassies five months later;

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Mike Luckovich, who drew this anti-war cartoon on the occasion of the 2,000th U.S. military fatality in Iraq (to which Georgia teenager Danielle Ansley provided this response).
This is not to detract from the deserving winners, such as the Gulf Coast papers that won in the Public Service category. As with every government program people that don’t deserve are grabbing what they can and it is harming those “entitled” to part D:
Under the law establishing the drug benefit, the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services can call for extending open enrollment into Medicare Part D by declaring a “special enrollment period” for exceptional circumstances.
In early April, HHS said people who qualify for the low-income subsidy meet that exceptional circumstance, and they will be allowed to enroll in plans after the May 15 deadline. Those seniors must have an income below 150 percent of the poverty line and have limited assets.
The exception, Norwalk estimates, could affect about 2 million people. But to grant that exception to all 43 million eligible Medicare beneficiaries “undermines what Congress put into place.”
And also, as always, libs whine and b-itch at the first sign of discomfort, lying like rugs. Real upstanding citizens you pinkos are.

Don’t go tearing up on me but it doesn’t take much to find the truth amongst all the lies:
A Washington Post-ABC poll, released last week, found that nearly two-thirds of seniors enrolled in the program (medicare part D) said they were saving at least some money. But less than a third said they were saving a lot, and 26% said they had seen no savings, according to the findings, which were based on a subsample of 147 enrollees nationally.
Experts say the program clearly can benefit chronically or catastrophically ill people who take many costly medications, provided they carefully choose a plan that covers the drugs they need. Low-income people stand to benefit as well; a key provision of the Part D plan waives most premiums and co-payments for low-income people who earn up to 150% of federal poverty levels.

Dear N-GA,
I just wanted to let you know that Sen. Harry Reid and I are thinking of you. We are so sad that you are saddened by the sad idea that it is sad to cry over a funny cartoon.
Life is sad and nothing is funny anymore since Bush is our President, so you are right to be saddened. Only crazy neo-con polluters can find humor anywhere anymore.
The sky IS falling there IS global warming and the ice caps ARE melting, and there will be more hurricanes, so it’s just hopeless.
Now I’m sad too! Darn. I wanted to cheer you up, but I can’t! What’t the name of those meds again?

The National Enquirer at the HEB today has a headline about the Bush marriage “exploding” It seems they’re reporting that Laura (“Pickles”) Bush is “livid” with George. I figure this has got to be true because just last week they were reporting on Chelsea Clinton’s problems with cocaine. If ya’ll don’t mind I’ll stick with the liberal media, that Enquirer is too conservative for my tastes.

Getalife,
I agree with Bill Bennett.
And here’s some background on the shameful Pulitzers and The Times (which owns The WaPo):
1932 Pulitzer: CORRESPONDENCE Walter Duranty of New York Times - For his series of dispatches on Russia especially the working out of the Five Year Plan.
Tens of millions died under Stalin, and Duranty purposely deceived the world and lied about what was really happening.
In 1933, at the height of the famine, Duranty wrote that “village markets [were] flowing with eggs, fruit, poultry, vegetables, milk and butter. … A child can see this is not famine but abundance.” Reports such as these were crucial, historians say, in the decision of President Franklin D. Roosevelt to grant the Soviet Union diplomatic recognition in 1933.
Here’s the Pulitzer Board’s pitiful explanation of why it won’t rescind the disgraced Duranty’s Pulitzer

Mike: Your priest cartoon (“does this make me look gay?”) was offensive to practicing Catholics, and your other cartoons show you have no tolerance for the military (always fat sinister-looking senior officers) or conservative Protestant Christians.
I’m no fan of George Bush, but your unending ridicule of him (the big ears got old a long time ago)looks more like hate than good satire.
I love classic political cartoons - - but you are simply short on the talent that constitutes a great cartoonist. The Pulitzer people obviously go for extreme PC views over great talent.

RW,
There are Starbucks coffee shops in all the terminals at Sea-Tac. My guess is that everyone was taking a coffee break. I was down on the Florida panhandle watching them get ready to start bringing up all that oil sitting off the coast. Seriously, the hurricanes did a lot of damage all over the panhandle this year. You can’t see it from the street, but when you walk down the beach, you see all these half houses dangling off the dunes. They are trying to shore up the defenses around Destin by bringing in big piles of, you guessed it, sand. That should really work well.

While I am no huge fan of Bush(I think he is a big government Republican, not in tune with my personal beliefs) the hate that comes from his critics is amazing. If they would spend more time trying to find a candidate that could beat him instead of just bashing him they might actually beat him in an election instead of just whinning about it for the last six years. The Democratic Party needs to gets its head together and focus on some issues. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton are killing your party. You are going to be in huge trouble if McCain, Guilani, or Romney get the GOP nomination. I am personally pulling for McCain. From Mark Steyn
…Kofi Annan framed it rather more soothingly:
“The offensive caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad were first published in a European country which has recently acquired a significant Muslim population, and is not yet sure how to adjust to it.”*
If you’ve also “recently acquired” a significant Muslim population and you’re not sure how to “adjust” to it, well, here’s the difference: back when my Belgian grandparents emigrated to Canada, the idea was that the immigrants assimilated to the host country. As Kofi and Co. see it, today the host country has to assimilate to the immigrants…
And -
The cost of de-nuking Iran will be high now but significantly higher with every year it’s postponed. The lesson of the Danish cartoons is the clearest reminder that what is at stake here is the credibility of our civilization. Whether or not we end the nuclearization of the Islamic Republic will be an act that defines our time.

Mike, Congratulations on taking a stand.
In the bad old days of Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall of NYC, Boss was never worried about the written word of columnists because most of his constituents couldn’t read. It was the cartoonists that he hated because people could see the corruption in pictures, which speak volumes. Even W, with his limited command of the English language, could get your messages if it weren’t for the silver spoon coated with oil and coal in his mouth(possibly a cartoon image worth exploring). If only the Dems showed some spine they might win back legislative and executive branches. John Keary had his chance and couldn’t decide, Hillary Clinton is great but too polarizing. Joe Biden is intelligent, well spoken and sensible but not well known.
