Meanwhile, back on planet Earth:

DeLay addressed the work he did on the issue of lobbying and the so-called “K Street Project.” “I am actually very proud of the K Street Project,” DeLay said. “When we came in, I realized right away in 1995 that we may have taken the majority, but we haven’t changed the culture of Washington, D.C. And I immediately started strategizing to change that culture. I mean, how in the world could you maintain a majority up here if all of K Street were Democrat lobbyists that owed their power and their checkbook to the Democrats, and their friends who were out of power?”

“We put together, I think, one of the largest and strongest political coalitions ever. We turned the culture from K Street contributing 70 percent of its campaign funds to Democrats and 30 percent to Republicans to today 60 percent Republican, 40 percent Democrat….It was so well done that the Democrats hate it, and they’re working as hard as they can to destroy it.”

And that ain’t no lie.

This is not a story of corruption. It’s a story of an out-of-control, taking the law into his own hands prosecutor Ronnie Earle. His first indictment against Tom Delay was for a crime that did not exist. The “law” cited for Delay’s alleged activities was not passed until a year after Delay supposedly “broke” it. Once Earle figured this out he went back, got another grand jury (spending more taxpayers’ mpney) to get yet another indictment.

Just another example of the hatred being spewed by the Far Left. Makes you wonder how in the hell Ted “Chappaquiddick” Kennedy is still a free man.

That’s what sets the current crop of Republicans apart from the Dems and other sane people.

When Clinton was impeached, a lot of Democrats were disgusted with his behavior and called for his resignation. But these neocon tools will defend anybody in the Bush crime family, no matter how obvious or heinous their crimes.

That’s the sort of loyalty you don’t see outside of organized crime. Come to think of it, we’re not seeing it outside of organized crime here, either.

The problem is the “WIN” mentality. We’ve become so politically divided- rather than push for the betterment of our nation as a whole, people just want THEIR party to “win.” What they don’t get is that this is very divisive..this my team must win mentality does NOT help solve problems…People treat political parties as they would their favorite sport team…cheer ‘em on, no matter what they do.

Oh wait, I forgot…it IS all about “winning” and money…and NOT about solving problems. Let the PORK roll.

Chuck, I’m looking at the NoAgenda site. When I put the address in to open a file it comes up. What do you mean it doesn’t exist?

How many of you know that conspiracy theorists always come from the side out of power and their claims are only speculation until proven otherwise? It’s a phenomenom that can be seen throughout history. It is a natural principle of anarchist organization but rarely proven in future historical accounts.

There are a bunch of conspiracy sites out there and they all address the present administration, the party in power.

Coincidence? How many out there are conspiracy theorists or, in other words anarchists raging against the political machine.

R. Franklin: Sorry, I don’t buy it. The neocon nutzis still have a ton of conspiracy theories revolving around Clinton. Like Suck/Andy, they still wake up in a cold sweat screaming “Clinton must die!” every night, and they can’t let it go.

Moreover, conspiracy theorists often aren’t associated with any political party at all. Do you honestly think the black-helicopter, tinfoil-hat, alien-microwaves-from-space crowd is made up entirely of Democrats? And how about the “one-world government” paranoia of the evangelical Christians? They certainly can’t complain that THEY’RE not ‘in power,’ but their conspiracy ravings are classics we’ve had to endure for decades now. They even manage to pretend their an oppressed minority, even as their every whim is enacted by their legislative stooges.

Suck: And can you point to any Republicans who’ve had the guts to stand up to Traitor Bush’s crowd and call for their resignation after repeated failures and exposure of their crimes, as happened with Democrats criticizing Clinton? I know you’re incapable of staying with any topic for more than ten seconds (as long as it takes to ferret out and post a link from a fascist-loon site you’ve bookmarked), but we’re not talking—for once—about Clinton’s actions.

We’re talking about the solidarity of an unthinking, shuffling herd in the President’s party that literally cannot tolerate—or even contemplate—the possibility of one of their own being wrong, no matter how blatant the crimes become.

But then, closing ranks is a classic tactic of fear, so I shouldn’t be surprised.

This cartoon is one more of Luckovich’s pathetic efforts at propaganda.

First, the drawing is badly done. Couldn’t be called “artwork”.

Second, the premise that an “elephant Frankenstein” is the symbol of a corrupt Republican party is totally without truth or merit. (Lies!)

Third, Republicans have no “daddy”, just a strong president who is George W. Bush. He was elected by the citizens of the United States.

Fourth, Tom Delay was never a “bubblehead” doll as drawn by Luckovich. He was and is a strong political figure that liberals hate because he is effective.

If liberals could get rid of the hate and think clearer, they might be able to support the country that gives them freedom.

Brian Curtiss: There have been plenty of Republicans voicing their displeasure with the current political climate, I believe finch has documented and framed every single one of them. I’m not your school teacher, educate yourself.

I, in fact, think there have been too many of these sissies, caving into the first signs of hysteria from any clown pinko that comes along, McCain actually searches out liberals to surrender to, but I sense that this is soon to be corrected. There have been alot of democratic wrongdoings that have been overlooked in the spirit of cooperation, while nothing that the Conservatives has done, right or wrong, has been ignored. I say let’s drag some pinkos out and flame them, just like they do to us, even when we’ve done nothing wrong.

Meanwhile, I will illustrate your liberal hypocrisy regardless of whether my party chooses to or not. I’m not a chickensh-it, scared to death of the media, I’ll tell you to suck a-ss and laugh in your face about it.

In March, 1998 Kathleen Willey, a White House aide, alleged that Clinton had sexually assaulted her. Also in 1998, Juanita Broaddrick alleged that Clinton had raped her in 1978. No charges were filed in either case.

Brian, You would have to explain why there are so many sites raging against the present administration. Some theories on Clinton have been substantiated in his admission of guilt, the less important incidents in my opinion. Not all will be proven but will remain as conspiracy theories to be contemplated for years to come. Like the Kennedy assassination. Conspiracy theorists like to hold onto their claims. They don’t like to admit that they could have been wrong.

I never said they could be associated with a political party, just that they are created by the party out of power. The christian right has always been the target of conspiracy theorists. People are afraid of it and they don’t really need to be. The majority of christians aren’t extreme, but theorists don’t want to accept that reality, it doesn’t coincide with their theories. Suffice it to say, the worst thing that Bush ever did, was profess his faith during his campaign, that made him an immediate target of all the conspiracy theorists out there. It’s sad when a person can’t profess their faith, without being targeted for that faith.

Conspiracy theorists will always refer to the opposing crowd as “unthinking.” It makes their arguments valid in their own minds. Debunking theories by contributing facts doesn’t solve the problem either, because unfortunately theorists just don’t want to accept the facts which may be based in reality.

I’m just saying that it is a natural phenomenom. It always has been and always will be. It gives theorists the false sense that they can control the outcome, but it is rarely proven in historical accounts.

Didn’t mean to rock your world.

    Brian,

Yes, what’s wrong with our president implying that it’s God’s will that we conduct an invasion in the middle east? The idea that he lied about WMD’s to get us to go to war in Iraq is simply a conspiracy. It’s just the liberal media trying to get us to believe he actually told the world there were WMD’s there (he didn’t). And the religious right? They are the minority. The 80% of the country that are Christians are being discriminated against by the 20% who are not. We’re being pushed out; we have no representation in congress or the supreme court. To prove it, just look at how stem cell research is rampantly spreading across the country. I mean, they’ve already cured paralysis and heart disease. And see how abortion rights are spreading everywhere, like North Dakota? And now gun ownership, a staple of our Christian beliefs, is illegal everywhere! We are being persecuted! Welcome to bizarro world. You are getting sleepy, very sleepy, everything is a conspiracy…

An internal document prepared by a top Democratic strategist warns that a majority of African American voters in Maryland are open to supporting Republican Senate candidate Michael S. Steele and advises the party not to wait to “knock Steele down.”

The 37-page report says a sizable segment of likely black voters — as much as 44 percent — would readily abandon their historic Democratic allegiances “after hearing Steele’s messaging.”

“Governor Ehrlich and [Lt. Gov.] Michael Steele have a clear ability to break through the Democratic stronghold among African American voters in Maryland,” says the March 27 report by Cornell Belcher, polling consultant for the Democratic National Committee, which bases its findings on a survey of 489 black voters in Maryland conducted last month.

In response to the cartoon. I’ll wait for the facts to come in. ml obviously isn’t so objective.

I just read RFranklin’s post and it reminded me of something I saw on the History Channel the other night. A well-educated African American resident of New Orleans talking about how he and many residents in the area were inundated with E-mails within 24 hours after Hurricane Katrina. The E-Mails claimed that it was a right-wing government conspiracy to displace African Americans, destroy a city perceived as sinful. There were even claims that the government was controlling the weather to accomplish this goal. The levies were intentionally built to fail for this very purpose.

Fortunately this guy was educated enough that he laughed at the conspiracy theories. He recalled historical accounts of the same type of conspiracy theories which occurred during some other hurricane way back in history. I guess RFranklin was right, they do persist.

    Now that’s funny!

CNN is changing the story now. This is what they’re now saying: Bush personally authorized the leak of classified documents that said that Iraq had WMD’s (which by the way was incorrect information). So we have evidence of Bush, himself, propagating lies by manipulating false information through the media to take the country to war under false pretenses. Impeach him now.

The documents filed by Fitzgerald in the Plamegate probe today allege that Bush authorized leaks of intelligence on Iraqi WMDs (later shown to be wrong) to various reporters, including Judith Miller of the New York Times!

What so many people forget is that leading up to the 2003 Iraq invasion, Miller and the NYTimes were foaming over the threat of Iraq’s non-existent WMDs, just like the Bush administration. This (as much as anything else), set the stage for the war.

This is incredibly ironic, since so many neocon war supporters think the NYTimes has never supported President Bush on anything.

But Bush and the NYTimes have something else in common.

Like Bush, the NYTimes almost never admits to a mistake.

The 2006 Labor/HHS Appropriations Act is a tale of two bills. On one hand, Senate Labor/HHS Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), drew a line in the sand, refusing to add earmarks. Although House appropriators squealed, the result was a 98 percent drop in earmarks, from 3,071 to 51. On the other hand, total pork increased 3 percent, from $1.7 billion in 2005 to $1.75 billion in 2006. Despite the fact that President Bush cut 48 projects from the Department of Education (DoE), appropriators chose to ignore the majority of those cuts, returning funding to 25 of the programs. The DoE received the majority of earmarks in this bill. Republicans like Specter talk the talk but they never walk the walk, do they?

The fiscal 2006 Military Construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriators Act was fair to veterans as it funded their programs without any pork. However, appropriators did dip into the trough for military construction projects. I will continue to defend my heroes until my dying day. I will never believe or admit these individuals can be guilty of any mistakes and/or crimes: Tom Delay, Scooter Libby, Timothy McVeigh, George W. Bush, Duke Cunningham, David Koresh, Donald Rumsfeld, Jack Abramoff, oh, and Jesus. You liberals are just soiling their good names. Oh, and RFV’s posts are spam, but LSL’s posts are purity, the incarnation of truth, just because I disagree with RFV and agree with LSL. Yes, I am objective and reasonable.

ALL of the following are quotes from a very unhinged, disturbed person. Note the utter and obvious hypocrisy!

You are more then welcome to stay and participate in the discussion, just be aware of the rudeness, we are talking about liberals, after all.

I would like to thank my family, my supporters and the duma-ss liberals that give me so much material to work with…

    Typical pinko lying.

GaPinkoLiar: That first headline by CNN was done on purpose to mislead duma-ss libs like you into believing that rapture had come to the democrat party. How does it feel to be looked upon as a sap? An idiot?

I, in fact, think there have been too many of these sissies, caving into the first signs of hysteria from any clown pinko that comes along, McCain actually searches out liberals to surrender to, Meanwhile, I will illustrate your liberal hypocrisy regardless of whether my party chooses to or not. I’m not a chickensh-it, scared to death of the media, I’ll tell you to suck a-ss and laugh in your face about it.

Censorship comes in many different forms. And pinkos are in favor of all of them. Especially with the lies.

Are you that intellectually vacant that you have to call something racist just because you don’t agree with it? What a clod. Simpleton.

    RFV,

In addition to being the ultimate obnoxious spam machine, you are an insufferable whiner.

RFV spams because he posts a webpage with multiple link, but does not stop there. Oh No! RFV then goes back and links every link from the original website. And when he’s done with that he goes back and re-runs the same links all over again.

RFV did that with the dirt of Republicans no one ever heard of website, and is now doing the same things with the pork that can only be blamed on Republicans.

LS&L gives us a to a single website like noagenda.org, and let’s us decide if we want to explore it further.

RFV doesn’t give us any choice in the matter and tries to force us to read Really Foul Verbiage.

I know we’re supposed to be off local news about Ms. Racecard CyMc, but this is too priceless:

..a bodyguard she hired – reportedly a former Georgia state trooper – was raising another furor when he threatened a television reporter trying to interview McKinney outside the Capitol just minutes before she appeared on the House floor.

When the reporter from Cox Broadcasting tried to ask McKinney about the grand jury, the bodyguard told him, “I’m going to put your a* in jail. I’m a police officer,” a videotape of the incident shows.

Asked if he worked for Capitol police, the man said, “I work for Miss McKinney.”

Word that McKinney had hired a bodyguard roiled the ranks of the Capitol police who were worried that the guard was carrying a weapon. They said they are concerned about what the bodyguard might do if Capitol police challenged McKinney at a security checkpoint.

Ann Coulter Given 30 Days to Explain Vote Fraud Felony Allegation!

You’ll recall that in February the Palm Beach Post reported that “conservative” extremist Ann Coulter may have committed a vote fraud felony by signing someone else’s address to her registration form in Florida and then voting in the wrong precinct — a crime which, if convicted, could earn her three years behind bars.

A few days after the story originally broke, Coulter claimed publicly she didn’t even live in Palm Beach where she reportedly committed the crime. The Post reporter who broke the story, Jose Lambiet, quickly replied that he had hard evidence that she does, in fact, live in Palm Beach (next door to town councilman Bill Brooks on Seabreeze Ave.) and he characterized Coulter’s denial as “absolutely a bold-faced lie.”

Yet more slimeball hypocrisy from the far, far, far right.

Has it really been only five years since America’s Sweetheart Ann Coulter called the voters of Palm Beach County “stupid” and “feeble-minded”? And now, poor dear, she can’t even remember which precinct she’s registered to vote in:

A Palm Beach poll worker says he tried to help GOP-loving pundit Ann Coulter vote in the right precinct last week. But, Jim Whited says, Coulter dashed out of the polling place when he told her she needed to file a change of address. “I even ran out after her,” he says. “But she was fast.”

DeLay’s thugs should retire, too. Morons.

*SUGAR LAND, Texas — U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay’s campaign staff invited supporters to disrupt a news conference Thursday by the Democrat vying for his seat, turning it into a shouting, finger-pointing shoving match.

The disruption by more than two dozen DeLay supporters drowned out Nick Lampson’s message. Delay’s staff indicated such displays would continue through the November election.

“Let’s give Lampson a parting shot that wrecks his press conference,” read a mass e-mail to supporters by DeLay campaign manager Chris Homan.

    @@,

Thanx for clearing up that PDA stuff! I was thinking “Blackberry”.

Anyone who looks at pre-pre-pubescent children thru the lens of S-E-X is, is, is….I’m speechless.

Oh, the party is just getting started and I have to leave. RW, I’m sorry Pudsy shot your fish. He thought it was armed. And don’t encourage @@ to drink that tinny stuff. She’s too young. Save some Manischevitz for Big Bad Elephant. I know how ALL of you love it.

GOOD hugs for all and good nite.

I was just watching the weather channel and there was a spot about the tornadoes in the midwest recently. And it occurred to me that the weather forecasters, reporters, etc. obviously don’t want the devastation and death caused by these storms but are compelled to report it anyway. Some might question their motives, but none, other than the emotionally void, can argue that they are “pro-tornado”.

I’m often struck by the argument of the far-right that liberals hate America. They scream that because people challenge (often vehemently) their leader’s positions on topics like misguided-wars, terrorism, etc. that they endorse these sicknesses. Obvioulsy, to any enlightened mind (which does not include some of the people here) this is absurd. This particular breed of American is what I call the new “faketriots”. They put little bumper stickers on their car that say “support the troops”, but are in no way willing, nor have ever been willing, to actually do anything to protect this country. They rely on other people’s kids getting their heads blown off so they can wave the red, white and blue. They care nothing about Jefferson’s brilliant observations that “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism” and “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” I will not remain silent. Not now. Not ever.

Yet it persists. I remember when O’Reilly said that once the bombs start falling on Baghdad, that people who protest against it are un-American. The next night he made a subtle distinction, and said that he was wrong in calling those people un-American; they were just bad Americans. A class guy, to be sure. And a mental giant.

Even so, in some ways liberals are more willing to put their money where their mouths are than their right-wing counterparts. How else can one explain the enormous disparity between the Dems and GOP on who have served in the military/combat and those who avoided this unpleasant proposition. I chose to serve.

    For a real eye-opener read this: http://www.awolbush.com/whoserved.html

Here in Georgia, for example, the disgraceful Saxby Chambliss shamefully attacked Max Cleland’s patriotism and support for the military, based on his voting record. Does anyone find this the least bit odd, cowardly and hypocritical. I for one, am embarrassed to have this man represent me in the US Senate. I guess the only good thing about that story, is that I sure wouldn’t have wanted the likes of Saxby Chambliss serving with me or fighting on enemy soil.

Our commander-in-chief’s military record is now well-documented and is spotty at best and downright suspicious, at worst. Yet he has legions of supporters who attacked his opponent, in the most despicable fashion. A man who was a combat veteran and put his life on the line to back up his patriotism. While at the very same time, the president basically disappeared in Alabama to stump for some political hack.

I now will wait for the flamings of those who disagree. They will hurl their most foul and childish insults. Perhaps, I’m wrong but I expect little more than accusations and attacks from these “patriots”.

Is it no wonder our leaders represent us as they do?

    Huge,

There’s another cartoon up. Post this under that one and you’ll have your room full of haters spewing “foul and childish insults” by morning, most likely beginning with the foulest and most childish, Andy, aka Liberals Suck and Lie, aka Little Pinko Angels, So Innocent, So Sweet, starting at about 4:00 am.

Ladies and gentlemen, (oops sorry, I don’t know if I can say that). Let me rephrase it - People, we now have what amounts to zero tolerance for moms and dads. But, if this bill passes, then California schools will not be able to teach these books -

Being called partisan by Tom DeLay is like being called ugly by a frog. In him, the American people finally got a clear picture of the modern-day Republican Party.
