I’d like to help sort things out for those of you who are confused or just looking in from the outside. Certain youngsters in here have taken to using other people’s names to post as-sinine childish things that only they can see the humor in. It is rather obvious to see, the true Conservative posts will be intelligent and thought provoking, the children’s comments will be, well, childish. If you are wondering why this has come to pass, why my name is so often a target, it is because I am better than they are. Think about it, if this is not true than why am I the focus of so much attention? I accept this honor gladly, I am a proud Conservative, the childish liberals prove my superiority for me. I know most of you are also intelligent and this should make your voting decisions that much easier. Would you give the future of this country over to the educated and well informed or would you leave it to those who answer reason with childish outbursts? I know you will make the right choice. Seeing how these liberals react to a challenge and to adversity sure calls into question all of the accusations that they have leveled at President Bush over the last several years. What makes anyone think they wouldn’t be underhanded and immature with Bush if they cannot even calmly address a blog debate?

Don’t pay attention to them. We are the true believers, the chosen ones. God loves us because we’re white, not gay (openly), and voted for George Bush. The fact that we have Bush is evidence that Jesus saves. He has saved us from having to deal with things like a high standard of living. Only you and I are qualified enough to call everyone else ignorant. We are smart because we think we are. Bush is right because he can convince us he is. Education is for losers. Cheney rules!

You see, I make up our own reality and if it happens to look like where you live then great but if it doesn’t then you will have to conform to the reality that I have right here in my head. You have to think like I do and reason like I do or you are a pinko. If you think like I do even if it doesn’t have anything to do with the real world then welcome to my world. All I know is that freaking 20 years ago, the Feds broke up AT&T because it was a monopoly and that was supposed to be bad. The idea being we needed to stimulate the communictions industry and generate competition, innovation, lower prices, and more jobs. Now they are putting the damn thing back together and laying off everybody and his brother. Make up your freaking minds!!! Hey, it’s starting to sound like a conspiracry to me. You know, “Hey, lets break up for awhile, get the Feds off our backs, lay low and get back together again in about 20 years when technology is better, the government is pro business, and we can finally screw the working man. The poor rubes out there, you know the ones that are too ignorant to ever go see a movie about gay cowboys…like Hollywood would ever make one… HA-HA-HA-HA-HA…seriously, whadaya think?”

On the last blog “Damage Control”at 6:15 PM between posts by Legion and N-GA, some one used my name to post something exactly opposite of what I believe. Then Bushwaker desecrates an old hymn by using every dirty word his warped mind can produce. You call this total lack of decency and civility a discussion?

RE & RW,
Thanks for the helpful link. As you can see from the childish trash being thrown around earlier, some regulation is definitely needed. Two people can no longer have an informed, intelligent discussion on this site without imposters trying to twist our words. What they did to myself and Buy Danish was just despicable. If it takes trampling the first ammendment, then that’s what needs to be done. Because of course, being able to communicate my conservative message clearly is the only thing that is important. I’m glad you guys see that too. This site is much too formal an avenue for such foolishness. If a person can’t spread his immense knowledge through 3 sentence posts, then America has truly lost the war on terrorism.
By RE
March 6, 2006 11:13 PM | Link to this
RW I always side with less laws instead of more. NJ is a hotbed of good ideas turning into bad laws. They used to have a simple idea for driving, you get your permit at 16, and full drivers license at 17. Now at 16 and a half you get a permit, 17 you get a restricted license which means that you cannot drive with more than one other person in the car unless you are with a family member, and cannot drive between midnight and 6 am. This goes on until 18 years old.
All of these are good suggestions, but how can you enforce any of this. And a state enforced curfew? come on.
What is scary is that these laws usually spread to other states. Welcome to the Nanny State, New Jersey

RE,
It’s starting to become difficult to identify anyone on this site. For a minute I thought that last post really was Andy, but now I’m thinking it may have been more juvenile games. Most of what he said sounded reasonable, but I can’t agree with trampling the first ammendment for just any reason. There’s got to be a good reason, like lowering our taxes, getting cheaper gas, ending homosexuality, or reading the bible in school. Now those are reasons to trample the first ammendement.

The prisoner from a western region of China faced serious accusations as he appeared before a military tribunal at Guantanamo Bay. But he had a much more pressing issue on his mind: Where he might go if he were released. If he were sent back to China, he might be executed, the man, identified only as Mahmut, told the panel at the start of his hearing, according to a transcripts released by the Pentagon. “I do not want repatriation and am seeking political asylum,” he said.
Everyone keeping track here? First taxpayers have to pay lawsuit settlements for the gov’t falsely accusing people of being terrorists, then actual terrorist want charges thrown out if the NSA by using the wiretaps without a warrant was how they came to capture them. In her February 28th, 2006 essay, Streisand flubs 11 words, a personal record.
“In the 1970’s, during the Nixon Adminstration, serious political curruption arose and the Republican leadership stepped up and took responsibilty by holding hearings and subpoening administration officials.”

Worse, Mr. Barrett’s investigations led him into bleak wilds where unnumbered Clinton misdeeds allegedly lay beneath bureaucratic camouflage. These findings comprised a full 120 pages of his 684-page report — but you won’t find them in the final document published on January 19. That’s because congressional Democrats, led by Sens. Byron Dorgan, Dick Durbin and John Kerry, used an appropriations bill to leverage a deal redacting the potentially lethal 120 pages. A frustrated Mr. Barrett released this statement: “An accurate title for the report could be, ‘What We Were Prevented From Investigating.’” He added: “After a thorough reading of the report it would not be unreasonable to conclude as I have that there was a cover-up at high levels of our government and it appears to have been substantial and coordinated. The question is why? And that question will regrettably go unanswered. Unlike some other cover-ups, this one succeeded.” Just so.

John Allen Muhammad, already sentenced to death for sniper killings in Virginia, appeared in a Maryland court complaining that jailers have restricted his access to documents he needs for his trial on six more sniper shootings in 2002. Muhammad also said he had been denied long underwear to keep warm in court: “I’m very sensitive to cold,” he said. Muhammad is scheduled to stand trial in Montgomery County, Md., on May 1.

Ah for the good old days when there was one telephone company and you didn’t have to choose between a few dozen of them. Why the hell have we been given choice when there is no basis for making a choice? Down with choice. One telephone co., one electric co., one gax co. Much better that way.

It is very illuminating to see the childish discourse above. It is interesting that both liberal and conservative elements employ the same juvenile tactics. It is particularly sad that moderates never seem to be able to acquire a voice in America; only the endless cacophony of Radicals from either persuasion, ad infinitum, trying to convince themselves that they have any real value to anyone or anything. They will never stop, as that goal is unachieveable; they truely have no value, and they will always know it!

In the scheme of things, it really doesn’t matter. America’s economy is changing, more industry jobs are lost with only service jobs to take their place. As our GNP declines, thus will the wealth of our nation, of which China, the up and coming economic superpower, owns over half. When Americans are ready to face facts, they may actually elect an honest leader who will change things, but that probably won’t happen. For now, they are too fat and happy with the status quo of being lied to.

The comments on this blog were childish even before the imposters stole the identities of others. It doesn’t matter who did it first. The conservatives started the name calling and belittlement from the beginning. The Liberals started out ok but slid into the realm of childish behavior as well. Until we can honestly admit the flaws from each side it will remain childish. Righties need to admit that, on some level, Bush is harming the country and Lefties need to admit that our side is full of cowards who are afraid to stand up to it.

‘We are the dead,’ he said.
‘We are the dead,’ echoed Julia dutifully.
‘You are the dead,’ said an iron voice behind them.
They sprang apart. Winston’s entrails seemed to have turned into ice. He could see the white all round the irises of Julia’s eyes. Her face had turned a milky yellow. The smear of rouge that was still on each cheekbone stood out sharply, almost as though unconnected with the skin beneath.
‘You are the dead,’ repeated the iron voice.
‘It was behind the picture,’ breathed Julia.
‘It was behind the picture,’ said the voice. ‘Remain exactly where you are. Make no movement until you are ordered.’
It was starting, it was starting at last! They could do nothing except stand gazing into one another’s eyes. To run for life, to get out of the house before it was too late — no such thought occurred to them. Unthinkable to disobey the iron voice from the wall. There was a snap as though a catch had been turned back, and a crash of breaking glass. The picture had fallen to the floor uncovering the telescreen behind it.

REP. DUNCAN HUNTER (R), CALIFORNIA: In 2003, Dubai allowed a shipment of 66 high-speed triggers that are ideally suited for nuclear weapon detonations. The United States tried to stop the sale — or the transshipment through the Dubai ports. We asked the UAE not to do it. They said, we are going to do it anyway.
They transferred those triggers to a Pakistani businessman with a close relationship with the Pakistan military. They similarly have allowed shipments of heavy water — that’s the material that you use to ultimately build a nuclear weapon — coming from Russia and China, through Dubai, into India.
The point is — and they have also allowed the precursors to nerve gas to be shipped through Iran. And, thankfully, we stopped that deal, because we found out about it. We made a string operation and stopped it.
The point is, Dubai cannot be trusted. They are the people who will sell or allow a transshipment of anything to anybody. And those people shouldn’t be in charge of our ports.

The Iraqi people as a whole saw this for what it is; a blatant effort to foment sectarian violence and promote the perception of civil war in Iraq. In all three counts the terrorists failed miserably and the people of Iraq won. Iraqi leaders such as Prime Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari and President Jalal Talabani immediately denounced the crime and demanded the Iraqi people not take the bait of sectarian violence, but instead use this moment to join against terrorism and for Islamic unity. Provincial councils in Basrah, Baghdad and elsewhere called for calm. The people of Iraq listened.

USAID worked with a Kirkuk community to revitalize a local market. The market had degenerated and grown unsanitary. Now the market serves as an economic and cultural exchange with freshly paved roads and drainage system.
In December 2005, the Government of Iraq (GOI) passed legislation to establish a social safety net targeting Iraq’s most poor and vulnerable. The social safety net initiative is an essential step in reforming national subsidies fuel, food, and electricity as required by the standby agreement signed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Currently, these subsidy programs cost Iraq over $12 billion a year.
USAID’s Iraq Civil Society and Media Support Program (ICSP) helped develop the National Iraqi News Agency, Iraq’s first independent news agency. USAID equipped their Baghdad headquarters with cutting edge technology and trained their journalists in editing and international reporting standards. Amid a sea of noise and deception, NINA strives to be a voice of fair, honest, reliable reporting for Iraq.
The first Iraqi National Media Pool celebrated its successful instillation on September 29, 2005. The pool represents over twenty five Iraqi press bureaus and grants Iraqi reporters access to high profile stories and instills higher standards of objectivity and professionalism in reporting. “This is a real development for media in Iraq it enables us to get first hand information, which before was inaccessible.”

Our troops are handing al Qaeda defeats on a daily basis, and these self-declared “Lions of Islam” have resorted to attacking the softest of targets, children:
According to Muhammad, the report states that 64 children were killed and 57 injured in a total of 417 attacks on educational institutions since November 2005.
Additionally, more than 47 youngsters were kidnapped on their way to or from school for the same period. The report also noted that 311 teachers and government employees had been killed and another 158 wounded in attacks.
The Iraqi people will never rally around these murderers who indiscriminately kill women and children, and that is why the foreign terrorists will never achieve their goals in Iraq.
But the stupid POS liberals will, these are ther heros, they are both fighting against Bush, both killing women and children to achieve the same goal. Be proud you pinko Mofo.

During Saddam Hussein’s rule, estimates of child mortality rates hovered at 125 deaths per 1,000 births for children under the age of five. Diarrhea and acute respiratory infections accounted for 70 percent of the deaths. While the health situation for Iraqi children remains a concern, reports from the Ministry of Health and Environment indicate that the last year has witnessed an important drop in rates of disease among children under five, particularly for cholera and diarrhea. Current child mortality estimates by USAID and the Ministry of Health place the figure at 50 deaths per 1,000 births, which comports with data provided by the Central Intelligence Agency.

I desperately want one of you intellectual “know it all” liberals to address the following;
“Saddam’s primary goal from 1991 to 2003 was to have UN sanctions lifted, while maintaining the security of the Regime. He sought to balance the need to cooperate with UN inspections—to gain support for lifting sanctions—with his intention to preserve Iraq’s intellectual capital for WMD with a minimum of foreign intrusiveness and loss of face. Indeed, this remained the goal to the end of the Regime, as the starting of any WMD program, conspicuous or otherwise, risked undoing the progress achieved in eroding sanctions and jeopardizing a political end to the embargo and international monitoring.”
The introduction of the Oil-For-Food program (OFF) in late 1996 was a key turning point for the Regime. OFF rescued Baghdad’s economy from a terminal decline created by sanctions. The Regime quickly came to see that OFF could be corrupted to acquire foreign exchange both to further undermine sanctions and to provide the means to enhance dual-use infrastructure and potential WMD-related development.
I know the MSM neglected to report on this portion of the Duelfer Report, but the libs beeing seekers of the truth should have found this out.
Once you have nuanced your way out of that, I would like you to describe how Iraq would be right now, had we not forcefuly removed Saddam from power.
I and other conservatives have been begging this question fro some time but not one “know it all” has bothered to entertain the debate.

Reflecting that they are captive to an extremist base, the Democrats’ collective questioning of Alito boiled down to the feeling that little has changed since around 1965. They still blame America first, not the radical Islamists. They still distrust our military more than our foreign enemies. They still believe that only wealthy East Coast liberals such as themselves can bestow equal rights and economic success on appreciative poor people, blacks, Hispanics, and women. Never mind that Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, or Alberto Gonzales have exercised more clout for George Bush than any minority cabinet official has ever enjoyed in any Democratic administration. Rhetoric and intentions of the past, not present day facts, are what resonate with these new reactionaries.

Yes, the report stated that Saddam intended to revive his nuclear program. It also stated that there were NO WMDs in Iraq. Saddam had been de-fanged and posed no imminent threat to the US. Later it was learned we were fed false intelligence from Iran.

(Bush/Cheney) is that they flat out planned this before 9/11, manipulated intelligence reports, silenced evidence to the contrary, and have wasted thousands of lives for what may or may not be an experiment in Democracy, all for the purpose of permanent bases in the Middle East to protect oil.
If Republicans AND Democrats had any real leadership abilities, they would have followed the example started by Carter to move away from dependence on foreign oil, but they cowered before telling the American public that things would have to change, and now it will be more expensive than ever.
With the rising costs of war, is it any wonder Bush turned a 360 to move to alternate fuel sources?
None of this was necessary, and now it is too late.

Why does the administration not give so many interviews, other than Bush sounds like a bumbling fool when he talks? Perhaps they understand that a lot of people don’t read past the headlines and when things are said this is what is reported
“I do not believe they’re in a civil war today,” Rumsfeld said of Iraq, but added “terrorists” want to foment one. “There’s always been a potential for a civil war. That country was held together through a repressive regime that put hundreds of thousands of human beings into mass graves.”
What does the headline read; Rumsfeld sees potential for Iraq civil war What would be the motivation behind such a headline?

Scooter’s Answer, you addressed half of the original post. Now, you need to tell us what Saddam would be doing now, had we left him under the ever watchfull eye of the UN and its Oil for Food Program.
SA, you say none of this was necessary? Like it would not have culminated into an even more costly endeavor had we left Saddam to pursue his objectives.
SA, I do appreciate the answer and look forward to hearing your portrayal of what Iraq would be up to now.

I think I’m going to come up with a collection of “The Best of Buy Danish quotes” by schmucks who pretend to be me. It could be a Left wing bestseller, just like “The Quotations of Chairman Mao”.
Heck, if your team can enjoy reading the incredibly boring “thoughts” of Chairman Mao, and can actually dream that the Communist Manifesto is the key to your happiness, then a bunch of idiotic fake quotes from your pals could be the basis for your next revolution.
The appendix can include references to quotes that Midori thought were made by me but were really made by an imposter, along with examples of Midori getting screwed by her own teammates.

SA, also you should realize that there were a lot of people with your sentinments while Germany was violating the Treaty of Versailles.
upon re reading your post, if you meant none of this was necessary because we should have followed Carter’s suggestion, well, that assumes and presumes a lot.
“permanent bases in the Middle-East”? Really now, are you just making stuff up to support your beliefs? “planned it before 9/11”, “manipulated intelligence reports” uh huh.
Finally the zinger, “silenced evidence to the contrary”. So, in SA’s world when a president wants to do something he believes to be right and proper, he must give the public all the reasons that it should not be done. SA, what are Intelligence Committees for?

Buy Danish,
I knew somebody would ask that. Which is why I didn’t edit that quote.
A dual use infrastructure would be an interstate highway system. Great for commerce, with the flexibility for defensive military uses. It certainly can’t be used for offensive actions against a nation (the US) a half-world away.
The name that the US gave it’s “dual use infrastructure” system says it all. “Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways”
Saddam was guilty of “thought crimes” against the US, true. But “thought crimes” should not be cause for invasions.
Remember these words— “potential WMD-related development.”*

Whats with these Republican Governors? Why do they keep wanting my hard earned tax dollars going to their welfare mentality states? This kind of system of entitlemaent is ridiculous.
WASHINGTON - Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a Republican who holds George W. Bush’s former job, told Congress Tuesday the federal government has turned its back on the Lone Star State. He demanded an additional $2 billion to repair damage and other hurricane-related costs in Texas.
Perry criticized the federal response to the devastating storms, saying states slammed by Katrina are getting more generous help than his state, which bore the brunt of Hurricane Rita.
“Financial aid has been a fraction of what was promised,” Perry told the Senate Appropriations Committee. Funding for housing, education and community development has been shortchanged, he said.

Scooter’s Answer, I have looked up and read the Project for a New American Century. If I remember correctly it does not talk about going out and colonizing the world like an imperialist. It does however speak of promoting America’s ideal of freedom and democracy while also securing friends in specific regions. It certainly sounds better than being extorted by tin pot rulers of third world countries, but hey we could just have government steal more money from those evil rich people, who provide us with jobs, so we could pay of threatening countries. “Don’t hurt us, please”, is not the way this countries should go down.
Is your position that if Saddam had fully complied with UN Resolution 687, we would have still invaded to set up permanent bases? Have you not been keeping track of the handover of bases in Iraq.
You have still not illustrated what Saddam would be doing if we had not invaded Iraq, to depose him. I think Saddam would still be using the corrupt Oil for Food Program to buy influence with veto carrying members of the Security Council so he could eventually see an end to sanctions. Then he would tap the mental capital he retained and proceed to reconstitute his WMD programs. Iraq may have never become an imminent threat, so your ilk would have never confronted him as long as your loving UN was “acting” like they had an eye on him.
Scooter’s Answer, you are doing good, you just have to answer that second part of what Saddam would be doing now had we not deposed him with force.
SA, I have to go to my second job now, but I’ll check back later. Maybe Midori will unleash some of his/her infinite wisdom and knowledge on the subject?

Drudgereport.com yesterday gloated: “Barbra Streisand has launched a new spelling error-ridden dispatch on the Internet — a dispatch that mocks President Bush for being a C student!”
Yesterday, a couple of hours after Lowdown alerted the Streisand camp to Drudge’s spelling feint, her online polemic was corrected. And Streisand’s PR rep, Dick Guttman, sheepishly explained: “The errors … are regrettable and have resulted in a change in how the actress’ own contributions to the blog will be posted.” He blamed the mistakes on the company that operates Streisand’s Web site: “The errors occurred in that entity’s typing of the original dictated material. Henceforth, Ms. Streisand’s office will post her essays directly.”

And By The way there are other ways of getting your point accross that are much more polite than that, just simply saying that hey could we please be more kind and considerate in here is a good place to start. oh and FYI that was not in the least bit funny, and it certinly did not take all that many brain cells to think up, so perhaps you should think before you type. Scooter,
Sorry for the delay. Busy day. Regarding your reply, this illustrates my point that we will never see certain defense issues eye to eye, hence the division between our two parties and part of the cultural divide in America, thanks to that great uniter, GW. I praise some people for attempting to bring back unity, such as McCain, Feingold, Obama, and others, but I fear they are the minority.
So we both have our chosen ideologies, and we are both well-read and educated men, but our camps are staked out and the principles incompatible. You will say I am wrong and base your answers on the logic structured on your principles, and I will do the same.

Scooter’s Answer, well said. If you notice the few things that I will discuss in this forum are the baseless claims that Bush lied and I will always defend capitalism. I will also interject to tone down some of the left’s reactionary hysteria that tends to lead to misinformation. But, I agree with them on some environmental issues.
I would also like to say that I have lived in bad areas of town since I left home (10 yrs +/-), it’s cheaper and I’m not rich. I have learned through experiences that it is unwise to wait till the gun is loaded and placed against your head before you act and yes I have had guns pulled on me several times and been shot at twice. It is especially unwise if I knew the person had a gun, before they hid it behind their back, while someone else tries to verify there is currently no gun. I have always verified the presence or absence of the gun myself. But that’s why I am known as a crazy white boy.
Are you just not going to tell us what Saddam would be up to today if we left the UN and their Oil for Food Program in charge?
