the president relates to injured war vets
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
“As you can possibly see, I have an injury myself—not here at the hospital, but in combat with a cedar. I eventually won. The cedar gave me a little scratch.”—After visiting with wounded veterans from the Amputee Care Center of Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 1, 2006

ml, it is obvious you have nothing but contempt for this President and I would assume almost all Republicans. Thats your opinion and thats your right. What I would like to see is you get on your blog one day and actually debate some of the issues. All you ever do is post articles or posts from other blogs that you seem to like. Why don’t you ever get invovled in the debate? I know you have plenty of time on your hands. By the way, why didn’t you do a cartoon on Harry Reid bragging that he killed the Patriot Act?>

What are we supposed to learn from yet another post from Luckovich?
First—Luckovich cannot speak for himself.
Second—The President was trying to make a little JOKE to cheer an injured soldier.
Third—Luckovich takes lines out of context so he can try to make a point against the president.
Fourth—Luckovich knows how to cut and past, one of his few talents.

Another great day for the Bush Jihadists. Ho hum. Hey, I LIKE that new name being circulated about Andy, RW, BigDaddy, Semper Never and the rest of those tough-talking children. “The Castrated Crew.” And SCOOTER. We had a guy named Scooter - he willingly acted as a “sled” for all the guys - if you get my drift. Meanwhile, keep your eye on all things Bush! Getting to be fun. Is there a prison in his future??

“Second—The President was trying to make a little JOKE to cheer an injured soldier.” We who have been wounded in combat, like especially during the war for which W was AWOL, do not usually take lightly when others attempt to make light of being injured. It’s akin to making light of finding no weapons of mass destruction after starting a war to destroy them.

Pathetic Phil,
Do you have any comments about Luckovich’s cut and paste job? Why don’t you tell your counselor about your hang ups instead of dumping on us?

Dusty’s whining and trying to learn to insult others. Like Big Daddy (aka Fat Slob) and the rest, he is the product of 2 homely misfits mating on the beer, urine, and vomit covered mensroom floor of a neighborhood bar. No more, no less.
Waste not your time on such insects.

For everyone trolling around here, Phil so is S.O. - he can’t make up his mind between goats and sheep. BigDaddy doesn’t discriminate though - BigDaddy’s lap is big enough for all!

Phil, you little twit, you want to take shots at me - wait until you see me on the board and then bring it. The thing is, according to your menagerie, you lack the teticular fortitude to take shots at me when you know I’m here. That is because I’ll make you look like a fool - and that is clearly not a stretch, as you are neither display any notion of intelligence nor humor. I bet more regulars from the left will back me than you in such a hypothetical event, because when I do choose to advance an argument (which you never do), I at least use ration. When I choose to not post an argument, I’m funny. You are not. All you do is suck, and perhaps that is why you are such a bitter, spiteful little p-issant.
Bring it, coward.

RW, they do sound remarkably similar. Both just do drive-bys. I say, if you want to take shots at someone, fine. Anyone here is fair game. But do it when they are currently posting on the board. To do otherwise demonstrates classlessness and cowardice. It also invites horrific retribution.

It’s incredible. Mike spends 5 minutes on a cheap cut and paste job, and the resulting comments are so rabid you’d think the fate of civilization was at stake. What a hoot.
Liberal Texas Democrat is right, though. President Bush’s comment was tasteless, though. It reminds me of his appearance at Trent Lott’s home after Katrina. There he is, surrounded by people who have lost absolutely everything, and all he can say is he looks forward to sitting on Lott’s porch.
Really, President Bush is NOT evil. He is, however, dumb as a box of rocks. He is too bloody stupid to plot any “blood for oil” conspiracy; too dense to understand that his wrrantless wiretaps and intercepts are not only patently illegal, but completely unnecessary, since he could have gotten all the warrants he wanted with a nod to his assorted synchophants.
To coin a phrase, when you look deep in Bush’s eyes, you can see the back of his head.
Breaking news. finch agrees with RW and Andy. No matter who accepted money from Abramoff in exchange for votes, they should all be jailed. This goes beyond political parties.
Have a nice day, and thank you for shopping Luckovich.

ML actually edited this bile for brevity. The complete text is even more sickening. Thankfully, this kind of nob (someone of wealth or social rank) seems to always manage to be self-correcting. It has taken a long time to see through the Bush facade but now we see the TRUE man behind the mask. It has been painfully obvious for some time that the Commander in Chief is a mental midget but I had clung to the hope that he did retain a soul. I see now that I was terribly wrong. Any person who thinks wounded soldiers are funny is not a man. In fact they are probably not HU-man.
“In other words, I don’t think people ought to be compelled to make the decision which they think is best for their family.” —George W. Bush, on smallpox vaccinations, Washington, D.C., Dec. 11, 2002
“Mental Midget” is, also, an a*******hole.

If Bush ain’t chicken, why didn’t HE volunteer for some REAL military service (Cheney too)!!! He should put HIS blood where his mouth (he has no heart) is. Don’t hold your breath; that’s not what cowards do!

Ehh… no biggie here. Sure, Bush was tasteless and stupid, but that’s not news.
It certainly doesn’t compare to his actual, documented crimes as a worthwhile topic.

Grown men post here?
There’s a news flash. I found it more entertaining than cable TV news. I hope I haven’t completely lost my sense of humor over the last five years.
Let’s get into that grown man thing. Certainly my body is grown. I’m never quit sure about the rest of me. I’m not all that certain about a lot of things but given the certain lack of thought often demostrated here by grown men … I feel a lot better about myself after reading the endlessly immature crap from the neo-trash crowd.
I can tolerate their immaturity, lack of poise, and inability to engage in a true dialectic. Why?
Because that’s how it is in the world. And, the only way that world gets better is if someone sorts through all the crap, playground banter, and misinformation to get at the reality.
Bush will be remembered as the worst president ever. His ill advised and poorly executed Iraq invasion is the low point of U.S. foreign policy.
A real leader could have turned 9/11 into a world unifying campaign.
Take a good look at who has been unified and answer the next generation: Why did George W. Bush abandon 200 years of democracy for 15 minutes of fame?
If the United States Constitution fails, it will be by internal strive and internal power struggles.
This is the greatest lesson in all history: Mankind is self-destructive.

If you were missing a limb would you think that comment was funny? Especially from the coward that sent you. I doubt it. And if you think it is, your local recruiter would like to speak to you.
