Children soak up the joy of Chtistmas with all happiness. Adults would be wiser and happier if they could do the same. Luckovich has taken that joy and tried to reflect it as consumerism. I hope he hasn’t forgotten the simple childhood pleasure of Christmas. It is still there for all who live with love and kindness.

actually Cheney did fly half way around the planet to break a tie in the senate on the vote to implement a new budget which cuts financial assistance that allows people who wrent born an oil baron to actually go to college and yes education takes huge cuts (again)not to mention healthcare services for the poor. You know the local clinic in my town has been shut down because of previous cuts under Bush and many more will follow- Its not good enough to ignore the poor majority of the country and give huge tax cuts to the rich- you have to keep them sick and starving as well… maybe if you make our lives unbearable we wont notice all the mercury in our rivers or the unchecked factories that poison our children. No one has ever taken me up on it. Thing is, I never have anything to lose, because I am donating the money anyway. They can lose, since they only complain about the poor and don’t really do anything. Get a first or second job and donate your entire salary. Yea, we Republicans are real evil.

Doesn’t it just warm the hearts of all of you who want our country and our lives protected to know that the democrats are on the job? To see the the diligence and effort they are expending to make sure that our enemies are protected from any undue government intrusion? Ask yourself this question; who would the libs rather protect, Americans or the rights of muslim terrorists? Or would they rather get Bush, to hell with America?

And after we get hit again, after we stop defending this country because it might offend someone, and who knows how many casualties we will suffer, I wonder who the pinkos will blame for it? When we have 500,000 dead innocent civilians buried in the rubble of an American city, will the democrats even care or will they see it as another chance to get Bush?

Doesn’t it make you crave November 2006 so that you can go to the polls and pull the pinko lever?

Let’s trash America because our feelings are hurt:

“When Murtha tried to write George W. Bush with some suggestions for fighting the Iraq war, the congressman’s letter was ignored by the White House.” A peeved Mr. Murtha then unloaded to the magazine: “None. None. Zero. Not one call. I don’t know who the hell they’re talking to. If they talked to people, they wouldn’t get these outbursts. If they’d talked to me, it wouldn’t have happened.”

The greatest, current threat to our country, our way of life, our DEMOCRACY is the likes that Andy. Anyone who would blindly follow the so called president based on party afiliation is hardly someone who loves his country. If he can’t see that protecting our civil rights is as important as protecting our very lives, he has no understanding of what our country is all about. If he insists that those of us who oppose the stupidity that defines George W Bush are America haters, he just doesn’t get it. If it’s okay with him for the government to literaly rule our lives, he may as well live in Saudi Arabia. That’s they type person who is the true threat, not the great, thinking liberal men and women who seek to preserve our rights and liberties and the pursuit of happiness for all. Merry Christmas to everyone else.

Well, I have no idea what any of this means, or what it has to do with anything other than a nonsensical spleen-venting. So, let’s explore the magic of the internet and translate this into homey to see if it makes any more sense:

“in de soud it’s mostly about rasism. WORD! hate dose brothers. mah’ connected buddy kin sell an f-16 t’de us fo’ untold billions, it kin be apiece uh dung, BUT, don’t let dat welfare mom dig some gallon uh milk; it’s too ‘espenseve, we kinnot affo’d it…”

Twas the night before Christmas

The newsroom reeked of doom

But Lameovich toiled

To create a Bush-hating ‘toon

With childish scribbles

He took pen to paper

But had to take a break

To change his leftist diaper

In his chubby little hand

Was a quill dipped in hate

As his weak mind searched

For drivel to create

C. Tucker had a giant sex toy

She wanted to use

On Mikey Luckovich

The boy who loved abuse

But he was quite busy

with all his liberal work

When in to the newsroom

Walked Jay Bookman-the paper’s biggest dork

“Use it on me Cynthia,

He said with a wry grin

He took down his pants

And grabbed his shins

But ml was jealous

And squealed a shout

“my turn, Jay

You selfish lout

Mikey ripped off his clothes

But the staff’s pain was denied

Because God blessed them

By striking them all blind

Merry Christmas!!!

Twas the night before Fitzmas

And all through the house

Not a pinko was stirring

Not even a mouse

Then down from the chimney

Panta Fitzgerald he came

Bearing his gifts and his services

For the name of Miss Plame

But the boxes were empty

The stockings were bare

And the libs were all shrieking

Who took the presents from there?

Up on the roof

Just out of sight

Off stole Bob Woodward

Into the night

While at the White House

The laughter was gale

For Scooter was back

Set free from jail.

I’ve never read suckier poetry in my life.

You want poetry? Try this:

  • It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of ANNABEL LEE; And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea; But we loved with a love that was more than love- I and my Annabel Lee; With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling My beautiful Annabel Lee; So that her highborn kinsman came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulchre In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in heaven, Went envying her and me- Yes!- that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love Of those who were older than we- Of many far wiser than we- And neither the angels in heaven above, Nor the demons down under the sea, Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.

For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride, In the sepulchre there by the sea, In her tomb by the sounding sea.*

Yes, Midori, that is a lovely poem. I like most of Edgar Allan Poe’s poetry. If you have ever been down a river near the ocean in an old bateau, you will like Sidney Lanier’s “Marshes of Glynn”. Here are a few of my favorite lines:

As the marsh-hen secretly builds on the watery sod,

Behold I will build me a nest on the greatness of God;

I will fly in the greatness of God as the marsh-hen flies,

In the freedom that fills all the space ‘twixt the marsh and the skies;

By so many roots as the marsh grass sends in the sod

I will heartily lay me a-hold of the greatness of God:

Oh, like to the greatness of God is the greatness within

The range of the marshes, the liberal marshes of Glynn.

Merry Christmas

Freedom

By Andy

December 25, 2005 07:57 AM | Link to this

If Cynthia Tucker were to ever venture into one of her neighborhood Churches, she would discover one of the largest care giving organizations in the World, rivaled only by the money extorted from the US government. She would also discover that the hated Christians give this largess with free will and glad heart, surprise, surprise. While she is there and considering that Queen Lib is at her most nastiest during the Blessed Days of Christmas, it would be a good idea for her to submit to an exorcism (ha-ha, joking.)

Over the course of the last year, many people died of old age, accidents, disease and were slaughtered at the hands of vicious killers like Tookie Williams. In fact, 18,000 people were murdered in the US in 2005, 1000 died in Iraq fighting to give freedom to the oppressed. Why is it that the Atlanta Journal Constitution chooses to remember the sorrow of those who lost loved ones in Iraq? Does it fit their political agenda? Why don’t they want to remind us of the 18,000 murder victims? Is their suffering less than those who volunteered for service, who bravely fought and died for their country?

May this Blessed Day of Hope find you well and in good spirits. As you gather with family, loved ones and friends to celebrate the Birth of the Saviour, take time to pray for those less fortunate than you, those who suffer, who are alone and for those who grieve. May the Lord place the Spirit in their hearts and comfort them with his Love and Grace.

Merry Christmas!

Poem by Sharon Steege

I don’t know who they are Saying I can’t greet the crowd The way that I want to Can’t say CHRISTMAS out loud.

I walk into a business place See things that I rather not see But dare I not say CHRISTMAS And ask for a “holiday” tree.

What happened to freedom of speech And living in the land of the free How can they take my CHRISTMAS money But can’t say MERRY CHRISTMAS to me.

Men and women have given their lives So we could still go free I wonder how they would feel At saying “HOLIDAY” TREE.

Come on AMERICA let’s wake up Don’t let our freedom escape If they get by with doing this What else will they take.

This is starting to get out of hand, And I’ve begun to keep track Well I’ve just about had enough I’M TAKING CHRISTMAS BACK.

So MERRY CHRISTMAS AMERICA I hope this gets all over the net If we all stand united and take freedom back ‘Twill be our best CHRISTMAS YET!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY

So many words written, so much talk, so much activity concerning an imaginary figure!

Who?

God.

Amazing-the stupidity, hate and bile gushing forth like kaka from the minds of the right never stops, it’s 24/7.

Semper Fi-don’t try thinking, it’s not in your skill set. Dust, Midori and especially Andy-you are classic examples of what happens in the South -clearly all to regularly-when the father rapes the daughter nightly and the kids can’t get access to an abortion.

Well, I do hope cynic’s keeper caught this poor deluded creature before the children were frightened and the dogs started barking.

Let’s face it: the UPS man is more real than Santa Claus, God, or Jesus. You cannot doubt the evidence of your eyes.
