How does this loser keep his job? It is the “liberal elite” such as him that keep republicans in office. This why i used to subscribe to the Journal. Since the merger the ajc has become the last bastion of the left wing of the Democratic Party. No wonder their readership is rapidly eroding. Give me the news, not opinion.

I used to be a huge Luckovich fan arund the time of 911 when the cartoons weren’t so political. Now, I have lost all respect for him. I love the fact that he can run his agenda in the paper everyday. My predictions?
This city will fall apart because Atlanta government sucks. Bunch of overspending slackers!
People will still hate the ATL song cause let’s face it, it sucks too. Maybe Luckovich can do the CD cover? AWESOME!
Traffic won’t get any better because the city can’t afford to fix it (see #1).
Lenox will get a better Christmas tree next year because that thing is HIDEOUS! I don’t care if it’s from New Orleans.
I hope to be out of this awful, ridiculously liberal city.
Merry Christmas! Yup, I said it, Christmas…

They’re all funny - especially about Vern and Cheney. Let’s all take this opportunity to laugh - my prediction is that in 2006 Bush will declare it “unAmerican” to laugh at any humor directed at elected officials (especially of the conservative persuasion) - which is funny in itself considering they all (conservative or liberal) border on being total buffoons..has anyone noticed that Shrub looks like Alfred E. Newman? I predict in 2006 we find out that Alfred is really Bush’s daddy….

My 5 Predictions for the Atlanta area:
1-the AJC will continue to lose readership including mine,
2-Gwinnett County and the surrounding area will continue to move progressively backwards as government officials continue to look the other way and can’t correlate crime and immigration, especially illegals from third world nations,
3-people from countries with one lane dirt roads will continue to have a tragic time crossing five lanes of paved lanes between crosswalks,
4-not everyone will like, or put up with, Terrance, Cynthia, or the rest of the AJC bigots, and,
5-editorial cartoons will always rock and be accepted and revered more than editorials.

Geez people! It’s his job as a political cartoonist/satirist to point out the problems with politicians. It’s the conservative Republicans in office now, so they are his target.
Can’t you see the humor in what he does and lighten up? You’ve got to admit the Bush torturing Cheney one is funny.

Whatever happened to fair and balanced journalism? The AJC does not allow its writers to vote for sports awards because they want writers to “focus on reporting the news, not opinions”. Clearly hypocritical by allowing such a biased journalist to try and control the minds of its readers.

you people baffle the $#it out of me! on every single blog you people turn a simple cartoon into a debate of how evil republicans are and whine about how poorly bush is doing including some idiot who goes by “Jesus” who has nothing intelligent to contribute other than “impeach bush”. Here’s a newsflash folks, if good old Mike could compose a logical sentence he’d be writing rather than drawing! He’s a cartoonist. How on earth can a simple drawing give cause for most of you to get your knickers twisted so badly? Pop a few valium and have a glass of wine, then look at the cartoons for what they are - humor. That shouldn’t be too foreign a concept for most of you otherwise you should probably report to grady, emory or piedmont to have that stick pulled out of your @$$!

They are cartoons! If you get frustrated by a cartoon and let a newspaper control your mind then you are weak. Think for yourself! For those who don’t like Atlanta..get out, your absence will lessen the traffic.
I Wish I Was Andy said, “We shall overcome.” So you’re admitting that the Republicans are wrong? If not, what is there to overcome? How is Bush winning in Iraq? Because the recent elections were forced upon them? Or is Bush winning because we’ve forced democracy upon them? He still hasn’t given us a plan for winning the war and his buddies keep getting indited.

“Now, by the way, any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, it requires — a wiretap requires a court order. Nothing has changed, by the way. When we’re talking about chasing down terrorists, we’re talking about getting a court order before we do so. It’s important for our fellow citizens to understand, when you think Patriot Act, constitutional guarantees are in place when it comes to doing what is necessary to protect our homeland, because we value the Constitution.”

Five predictions for 2006?
We’ll have an election in the fall. Half the voters will be unhappy with the results. But, more than half the people won’t vote.
The fall election will be the last election under the present constitution.
Martial law will be declared by the federal government but half the nation won’t obey.
The people with fully automatic weapons rule the next generation of Americans who have less than half their teeth, all have the same last name, and can’t print another copy of the Bible.

I just heard Congressman Tom Tancredo on Hannity’s radio show and he was all over Mexico’s Prez Vincente Fox, Bush too
Apparently, Fox was criticizing the USA for considering stricter borders saying something like “The United States wants to impose its laws on other people”
That is amazing, Of course, we want to impose our laws in our own country. What the h—- does he think? Mexicans are above the law
TC also said that if we built a fence along the border Fox said it would be like the Berlin Wall
Sheesh, even a leftist can destroy that lame claim
Also, TC said that polls show that almost 2/3 of Mexicans think all the southern USA is partly theirs
Money from legal and illegal Mexicans is their second largest form of income, after oil and gas
Finally, he had a report on how the Mexicans treat illegal aliens; not like we do

Now I can see why George Washington said in his Farewell Address to avoid the creation of Political Parties. He said it would fracture the government and divide the people, and that’s exactly what is happening as evidenced by the very posts on this site.
People bash the left, people bash the right. And you know what it reminds me of? A bunch of monkeys flinging feces at each other. It’s a neverending battle, and it’s the S.O.S. (Same Ol’ S_). You all really surprise me. Here I was thinking that all adults could argue civilly; however, your posts here proved me wrong.
I dislike the fact that Luckovich is blatantly bashing conservatives, but I can see the HUMOR (something many of you seem to lack…) in his work and his predictions. Both parties have their morons and both are idiotic, in my opinion.
But, I’m sure this message will fall upon blind eyes, since many are too short-sighted to see past the left and the right.
But, what do I know? I’m just a kid.
Keep up the good work, Mike, your comics usually make me laugh. And all of you posting on Mike’s blog, you keep up the bashing, as it makes a great example of why George Washington wanted to avoid political parties.

Politically, the Democrats are a parody and the Republicans have forsaken the philosophy that made Ronald Reagan an American icon.

As far as predictions for 2006 go, I am afraid that this administration is going to commit even more outrageous illegal acts. My hopes for 2006 boil down to this: I hope and pray that Bush will be impeached and convicted for his high crimes and misdemeanors. There is substantial evidence that he and the vice president and other high-ranking members of his administration misled Congress and the American people regarding the decision to go to war with Iraq; misstated and manipulated intelligence information regarding the justification for the war; countenanced torture and cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment, and other legal violations in Iraq; and permitted inappropriate retaliation against critics of their administration.
Happy Holidays! Happy Hannukah! Joyous Kwanzaa! Merry Christmas! Happy Solstice! And may the new year bring us all Peace and Love for our fellow mankind and Justice for the liars in powerful office everywhere.

To all of those who are “upset” with Mike……the truth will set you free, but first it will p** you off. Well, you folks have the second part down. How about working on the first part.

To Finch and Marion: Although I respect your opinions, I’m only writing what I’ve found to be true. The extreme left has lost it’s mind! I’m not saying that I totally agree with what our government’s doing and how we’re doing it, but the liberals in America act as if they WANT the U.S. to lose! When Clinton was president, although I didn’t vote for him(either time), But I accepted him as my president and tried to make the best of it. That’s how the right handles loosing. The left,on the other hand, does everything in it’s power to make the country run as poorly as possible, so that it can tell everybody how BAD things are! No Finch. People aren’t buying it! Sorry Marion that you don’t want to hear the truth. I guess we’ll see who’s buying it at the polls in ‘06 and ‘08. I look fprward to seeing Luckovich even more angry and frustrated in the future. Happy holidays to you too Marion. And Merry Christmas to all!

Right on Mike! Don’t listen to these churlheads who get their news from Greta Van Suspect. -Pinkos?- Perhaps they should go see Good Night and Good Luck. A little history lesson is in order.

The AJC is sending me a free copy once a week now begging me to subscribe. Not a good sign. The AJC will finally realize it resides in a Red State and its left wing attitude will cause bankruptcy. It will be replaced with a new paper that Georgia citizens actually want to read. The new editor will hire writers who understand Georgia values. You don’t make a paper a success by insulting your customers.

It really quite amazes me that Republicans can break the law, have hidden agendas, and many other forms of corruption, while doing it all in the name of the Lord. This quite puzzles me. I guess they will find out the truth when Jesus comes back and they are not on board for the heaven express. You are right this is a red state, but last time I checked there was still freedom of speech, or has the Republicans done away with that also? This has had to be the worst year in political history. I think Bush should be impeached for all his lies, after all they wanted to impeach Clinton for a blow job. What amazes me is how everyone believes he won, when in fact the corrupt Republicans used there underhanded skills to rig yet another election. Most important they labeled John Kerry a flip flopper because he changed his mind. I must say, “It is better to admit you made a mistake and try to change it, than to be consumed with the lies that George Bush has been. For all the haters of the AJC for telling the truth, please hurry up and unsubscribe so no one else has to read your stupidity.

Once a fan,
May your last wish come true today! Goodbye!
Wherever you go remember that it was with your cooperation that you and your children for at least 3 generations will still be paying for the deficit the “conservatives” have rung up. The theocracy in Iraq will still be going well, and you will have no constitutional rights.

The AJC is constantly having to bend towards the wishes of the religious right. Keep reading your ‘Faiths & Values’ section and shut up, you whiners. Thanks for a great year, Mike!

The impeachement of GW Bush is imminent. The rednecks in this state dont want to believe (or cant) that this administration lied to them. Bush’s poll numbers show this.

That in the new year the President will wear a new suit that only he can see.. and all the Democrats will see him naked and the Rebublicans will see the suit because the President said he was wearing it..

Why do liberals read conservative columns, why do conservatives read liberal columns… My solution, live you life day to day and try your best to tune out whatever you consider as nonesense. Its not our place to judge how other people live their life and what policies they choose. I don’t like Bush but i like some of his policies, they put money in my pocket, I don’t like liberals, they complain about everything, but i don’t see anything wrong with homosexual marriage, just two less people who won’t procreate into this already overpopulated world. Hell what they do in their bed ain’t nothing to do with my food, water, bills, spritual walk and my family so i say whatever. Nobody is totally right, nobody is totally wrong, but he if you think you God go right ahead.
