Where’s Tom Brokaw? After all he blew off a long promised speech to the Marines to go to the White House for “the royal dinner”.

Seems like that is something worth mocking. Let’s see celebrity journalist, that wrote “The Greatest Generation”, says to heck with the Marines I get to hang with a Prince or make fun of the President again.

Easy call for ml.

Even Prince Charles has more brains than our dolt of a president. Perhaps 1776 was another big mistake.

Another cartoon bashing Bush from Lucko, big surprise. How about a cartoon on George Galloway. The guy all you liberals loved when he came and tried to mock the Senate. Looks like he is facing perjury charges and took quite a bit of money from his buddy Saddam

Question for Ricky. Do you have another life or do you stay on this blog every day. I skip days and no matter when I look at it there is Ricky in all his glorified wisdom. Please tell us that you do have another life Ricky.

Ricky,

why don’t you give it a rest.

Your same old, day in and day out comments are completely boring.

you are becoming a parody.

As I’m sure it has been pointed out to you, editorial cartoonists routinely use the PRESENT president in their content: the same was true when Clinton was president.

What the f*** has Galloway got to do with anything?

Anyone who speaks the truth about these incompetents immediately garner your scorn.

If Bush were caught buck naked in the Rose Garden boinking a dead corpse of a 5 year old boy, you’d rush to defend him.

“THE CORPSE SET HIM UP!!!!! IT’S NOT FAIR!!!!!”

Smug Canadian - My exposure to Canadians has been limited to the ones who seasonally occupy parts of Florida and act like they own the place.

The dictionary says “smug” means: Exhibiting or feeling great or offensive satisfaction with oneself or with one’s situation; self-righteously complacent; marked by excessive complacency or self-satisfaction.

Interesting. That’s pretty much how folks in the US see most of the rest of the world, well, the decadent Western part of it any. So what makes Canadians so special that you feel the need to add a prefix that proclaims your offensive complacency in the world? Like I said, we already knew.

Ricky:

Don’t you read the news? Or do you only listen to Limbaugh, OReilly, and read your talking points emails.

Coleman’s source (Aziz) said he never made any such statements about money given to Galloway’s associates.

Looks like Coleman’s the liar.

Not a surprise.

Coleman’s one of the Republicans’ biggest liars.

You, Ricky are just small potatoes.

Now go collect your dime for your post, but you are overpaid, big time.

We must have entered some parallel universe.

Galloway gets to have both sides of his story presented and is assumed innocent until proven guilty?

What a concept!

Midori,

Your scenario isn’t completely unheard of, but apparently Democrats only care if it’s a dead girl.

“The only way I can lose this election is if I’m caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy”.

Midori,

Interesting!

See, when a suspicious dead girl turns up the Republican goes away on his own. Democrats, like Gary Condit, have to be booted by the voters.

I don’t care much for Joe Scarborough anyway. Last night, when hopefully you were celebrating, he was sucking up to Bill Mahr.

BTW, there is somone on the “brownie” thread complaining that people aren’t talking about the cartoon. If we only did that I don’t think this blog would last very long.

Before you get upset with the constant Bush bashing, just remember that cartoon boy was 100% behind Howard Dean’s run for the presidency. There are definitely some screws loose here. We should be polite and show some sympathy, the loss must have deeply affected him.

In a side note, Ken Herman is a pervert and the AJC has a deep seated anti American sickness. The 10,000 protestors were more like a 1000, maybe. Bush was cheered upon arrival at the summit. Hugo Chavez, jungle kingdom dictator, stated that “American democracy has caused my country’s illiteracy.” Nice violence glorifying picture of the punk kicking out the window you got there, peace lovers.

RW — Will you at least admit to the inequity of the treatment between the two men?

Condit (who I can’t stand, by the way) was hounded unmercilessly by the “liberal” press, whereas you didn’t hear a peep about Klausits.

If you hit the “pimpafy” button again it will give you a new name, so you won’t have to be stuck with “Diddy”. It does seem to like the name “Clinton”, though. hmm…

Mike, You are amazing! How do you get out of bed everyday knowing that you are irrelevant to the vast majority of Americans? How can you take a paycheck for throwing rocks at people with a straight face? I sincerely feel sorry for you since you have absolutely no positive impact on anyone’s life but your own, if that. I hope there is an afterlife for your sake because this one has to miserable for you.

I have a strong suspicion that Mike has a wonderful life. He’s clever, he’s funny and he’s renowned and respected all over the country. His drawings regularly appear in Time and Newsweek, he’s won numerous awards and Atlanta is lucky to have him. Many times he gives me a big laugh to start my day. You’re “da bomb”, Mike. Keep up the good work!

Bobb, Canadians are ‘smug’ because our leaders are also corrupt, but we make sure that they can pass a lteracy test before taking office. Pretty small I know, but we find Bush amusing. Whenever he gives a speech it’s like he’s giving a book report to his fourth grade class.

Look at the Paris quagmire article on page A3 Sunday. These pinkos can’t even bring themselves to say “muslim extremists.” The only people they tag as “extremists” are the “far right wing anti immigration,” go figure. So tell me libs, if “immigrants” are so dangerously violent, why do we have our borders swung open like a door? Shouldn’t we be deporting “immigrants” back to their homes before we too become France?

Smug - Seems like knowing voting for corrupt, smooth-talking candidates qualifies you for some label other than “smug”, but maybe the word is used differently up there by the Artic Circle.

Bobbo, Politicians by their very nature are corrupt. The biggest crooks are the ones who pretend they are as pure as the driven snow and are the product of a virgin birth. Corruption I can understand, stupidity, not so much. It’s not a perfect world so I’ll go for an intelligent crook over an incompetent boob who is also a crook.

I don’t know, viktor. How’s the weather in Moscow?

By Bobb

November 6, 2005 06:41 PM | Link to this

Smug - Buddy, I think you are describing yourself as cynical instead of smug. Here amongst the great unwashed masses of central North America we aren’t quite as jaded about politics - except for the modern day American liberals who seem to be terminally depressed and are only ‘happy’ if they can depress the rest of us too.

You get all kinds. Carter from all appearances was honest, but dangerously naive and way over his head. Plus, he is as annoying as hell. Which is why he was thankfully limited to one term. On the other had Clinton who would lie when the truth would have helped him more gets two terms of nothingness and is a hero to world for some reason. Guess it depends on the times.

Have a good week - Bobb

I like the fact that Mike has Bush’s sleeves rolled up - like he’s ready to perform hard work.

Hard work for George Bush is putting together tinker toys, or fingerpainting images of WMD.

Leave the hard work to real men and real women George.
